Silent Drive Chapter 4
All the Loud family members were in the van called Vanzilla, heading to their school. The parents were at home, so Lori had to drive them to school. Everyone was engaged in their usual activities while in Vanzilla.
As Leni texts her friend on her phone, Luna listens to music with her earphones, Luan attempts to make great jokes to entertain her family, Lynn Jr searches for an excuse to hit one of her siblings, Lucy reads her vampire book, Lana and Lola fight but not excessively, Lisa reads her science book, and Lily is with her parents.
Yes, as is often the case with the Loud siblings, they were in the van. However, Lincoln was not participating in the activity. He was merely looking out the window from the back of the van. Lincoln continued to ponder what had happened to him and remained concerned about his friend.
At the front of the van, Lori continued driving and glanced in the mirror, noticing that Lincoln was simply staring out the window, doing nothing. She began to feel a bit concerned about him. Lynn observed this and attempted to capture Lincoln's attention in her own way.
Excuse me, Stinkin, what are you observing? Lynn inquired, but Lincoln remained silent. Again, Stinkin, can you hear me? I asked what you were looking at but still received no response.
This begins to capture the attention of all the Loud sisters, who observe their only brother, Lincoln, ignoring Lynn and merely gazing out the window in silence. "I know how to get Lincoln's attention," Lola says, smiling maliciously.
"Lincoln, Ronnie is here for your date," Lola said, but this time Lincoln didn't respond or take any action. This left his sisters in shock, and Lori became even more distressed. Although Lori can be bossy and mean at times, she truly cares about her brother. She is simply stressed by the responsibility of being the oldest sibling and keeping everyone in line. She knows that her actions towards Lincoln were wrong, but she is determined to make amends.
The remaining Loud sisters turned around and began to express their concern for their brother, wondering what was amiss with him. Although their brother could be bothersome at times, they became increasingly worried when he did not behave like himself.
Lincoln stood by the window, gazing at the sky and watching an eagle soaring gracefully. As he observed the eagle, he couldn't help but reflect on it. "It must be wonderful to be an eagle, free to fly in the sky," Lincoln remarked.
Just as Lincoln thought that he felt himself starting to change. Lincoln looked around and noticed that he was a little bit smaller. What happened now, Lincoln thought, when he looked up and out the window, he saw himself turning into an eagle.
After witnessing what happened, Lincoln let out a scream that caused all the Loud sisters to look up and see that their brother Lincoln was not there, but an eagle. A few seconds later, the rest of the Loud sisters screamed in fear, but Lana was smiling at the eagle in the van. "Yo, an eagle! He's going to be my new pet," Lana said, trying to get the eagle, but eagle Lincoln started hopping around.
Lori was trying her best to remain in control, but she pushed the brake pedal hard to stop the van.
After stopping the van, the rest of the Loud sisters fell out of the set, and eagle Lincoln saw what happened and held back on the set so his sisters wouldn't see him. "I need to hurry up and turn back," Lincoln said, trying his best to return to normal. After a few seconds, eagle Lincoln turned back to normal.
Lincoln looked at himself and saw he was back to normal and smiled. "I'm back to normal, yes, just in time," Lincoln said. After saying that, he looked up and saw his sisters starting to get up from the fall.
"What happened?" all the Loud sisters asked. "Why are you screaming?" Lincoln spoke.
Lori stated that there was literally an eagle in the van. She was confused as to why her brother did not notice it.
Indeed, that was a bird in flight in the Van Luna advertisement.
"Wait, what have you been doing, Lincoln? You were looking out the window, didn't hear or speak to us, and didn't scream when there was an eagle in the van. What are you playing at?" Stinkin' Lynn Jr. said. Lincoln looked at her and then looked down. Before he could say anything else, Lincoln noticed that they had arrived at Royal Woods Elementary School.
"Oh, sorry sisters, it looks like we made it to the school," Lincoln said, looking at the school while the others looked at it as well. "So, I see you guys lately, so you're late. Love you all," Lincoln said, leaving the van and seeing his sisters shaking their heads at him. Meanwhile, Lucy, Lana, Lola, and Lisa got out of the van and looked very concerned about their brother.
Returning to Lincoln, he was hurrying and searching for his friend because he did not know what had happened, but he knew his friend would help him understand the situation.
