Minisode - Gas 'n Stuff

Sometime after rescuing Luan from the visit to Aunt Ruth, Benny landed the Steel Golem at a gas station in front of one of the pumps. Benny hopped out and scanned his Black Card at the pump. Soon after, Luan hopped out too, stretching as she did, "Say Bennyboy, while you're filling up I gotta empty out. Ha, ha, ha! Sorry, a bit of toilet humor!"

Benny nodded, "Alright Luan Banana, just be sure to cover the seat, people do nasty stuff in public restrooms."

Luan shrugged, "Can't be any worse than what my sisters do. Also, I might get some snacks, want anything?"

Benny turned around, "Uh, if you're gonna get snacks, maybe you should go to the Family Dollar General Tree across the street? It's much cheaper…and dang, those things are everywhere these days."

Luan looked at the Family Dollar General Tree across the street, it couldn't be more than fifty-seven steps away, "Nah, that's way too far." She instead walked into the gas station.

Benny went back to monitoring the fuel pump, unaware that he was slowly being approached.

"Excuse me, young man." Uttered an extremely smooth, seductive voice.

Benny turned to see a tall, voluptuous woman with neck-length brown hair, wearing a yellow mini dress, black leather jacket, black leather high-heeled boots, and a pair of sunglasses on her head. She was looking up at his giant robot.

"Um, can I help you?" Benny asked.

The thicc lady turned to him with a smile, "I was just wondering… is this the new Sakata model? I've been meaning to get back into mechas myself, but even the older models have been hard to find…"

Benny tugged on his collar and thanked the stars he could keep his composure, "Well, ma'am, this uh…this is more of a custom model I designed myself. But I did take inspiration from some of Sakata's frames…"

"Ooh, designed it yourself you say? Well, it certainly looks impressive!"

"Thank you, ma'am. My uh, my girlfriend likes it too…"

"Oh, where are my manners?" The woman took out a business card from her jacket and handed it to Benny.

"Thicc Productions - Quinn Thicknesse

Model, CEO, Mecha Pilot, Yellow Ranger"

"You pilot mecha too?" Benny asked.

"Yeah, I used to do that a lot back when I was a teenager with attitude, fighting Evil Space Aliens, but that was a while ago."

"I see. I'm Benny Stein, I'm uh…I guess I'm a henchman for my supervillain girlfriend? I dunno, it was going to be part of a spinoff from this crossover inspired by Evil Con Carne and Villainous but Mr. Dusk lost faith in that idea, so it's just implied now."

Quinn nodded, understandingly, "Oh, yeah, that happens all the time."

If I had a nickel for every promising supervillain show that got screwed by Cartoon Network…

Just then, screaming rang out from inside the gas station, "THIS IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY! FOUR DOLLARS FOR A CANDY BAR?"

Benny recognized it as Luan and rushed inside the gas station to see her teeth grit and eyes glaring at the bored-looking gas station employee who sat in a chair, looking at her phone.

The clerk looked up from her phone, "If you want, they're two for six." she told Luan before going back to her phone.

"I don't WANT two for six! I can just go across the street and buy one of these for two bucks!" Luan complained.

The clerk rolled her eyes, "We don't do price matching here. Company policy, can't do it."

"Dang it Luan, I told you this would happen!" said Benny.

Luan groaned, "Please Benny, not now! There's a crime happening right in front of us!"

"We also got a sale going on: two Monstar Energy drinks for five dollars and fifty-five cents, plus deposit." The clerk offered as she drank two of them herself at once.

"Is…is that stuff any good?" Benny asked.

The clerk finished and crushed both cans against her forehead and tossed them onto the floor, "Drinking them is the only way I ever feel anything these days…"

Luan and Benny shared a look before looking at the clerk with mild concern, "Uh, are you…are you okay?" Luan asked

"No." the clerk flatly said before going back to her phone.

Benny just paid for the candy bar using his Black Card, "I got this, let's just get the Hell out of here."

Luan nodded, "Uh…yeah, thanks Benny."

This minisode got too real. Next time will be the 50th chapter. Will it be something spectacular? Will it come out this month? Will this website be stable enough to host it? We will see.
