A/N: This is another of the few OO episodes I actually like, as I like the lesson Ronny learns; about how winning isn't everything.

Sorry for the delay, but I've had to burrow my friend's laptop again, which I've found out is a clickpad one, which doesn't have the mouse buttons. (I didn't know it's name at the time) I really hate it for that, as it's harder to control, and several times, I accidently knocked it off without saving. So if my updates are slower for a while, on any of my stories, I'm sorry.

Please read and review?

In the grounds of the Hartford Mansion, the Rangers were all jogging through a field in running clothes, while Spencer rode beside them in a golf cart.

"Keep up the pace." he said. "Only another mile to go."

"Wanna...get out of the cart and jog along with us?" Will suggested, a towel around the back of his neck.

The others all grinned.

"I do many things around the Hartford estate; jogging is not one of them." Spencer explained, as Dax rubbed sweat off his forehead with his forearm.

Mack turned around to the others, jogging backwards as he did.

"I'm gonna pick it up, coming in." he said. "Anyone care to join me?"

"I, uh... Uh, no." Dax said.

"No thanks. I'm fine with this pace." Jazz said.

"Do I look like I enjoy going at this speed?" Rose asked, panting.

"Got it." Mack said.

He turned and began to run off ahead of the others.

"Are you guys just gonna let him go?" Ronny asked, turning to them.

"Yeah." Will said.

"Uh-huh." Rose said.

"Yep." Jazz said.

"Yeah." Dax said.

"Well, I'm not!" Ronny said, running off.

She soon caught up to Mack, who turned to her slightly.

"Didn't want you to get lonely." Ronny said.

"Thanks." Mack said.

Ronny began to run off ahead of him, but he soon caught up.

"Sorry. Had to, uh...stop to tie my shoe." Mack stated. "Besides, I thought you'd be further ahead? After all, you're the one with enhanced superspeed."

"I don't need that to beat you." Ronny sniggered.

They both kept on running, going over a small hill near a tree, before they turned left along it. Ronny began to increase her speed, without her superspeed, while Mack stopped and then sat down from exhaustion.

Later, inside the Hartford Mansion, Ronny was playing a racing game with a steering wheel in the living room, when the others came in, all exhausted, Mack clutching his belly, Rose her shoulder. Mack and Jazz both sat down on the couch, as Will sat on the back of it, before Ronny turned to the others

"Hey, what kept you guys?" she asked. "I'm on my second game already."

She turned to the screen, before Will tossed his towel at her, which hit her right shoulder.

"Ew." she said disgusted, lifting it off her shoulder and turning to her. "You're all sweaty."

She threw it to the floor as the others panted.

"Man, am I knackered after all that." Jazz sighed, as Dax fell onto his side.

Meanwhile, in the volcano, Moltor sat in his throne, staring at a huge swarm of his Lava Lizards.

"You call yourselves the elites of my forces?" he growled, getting up and clutching his fist. "You're all failures! The Power Rangers are still our biggest threat, and we don't have a single jewel!"

He took out one of his swords and slashed it across.

"You're all useless!" he growled.

Some of the Lava Lizards turned away, covering their eyes with their hands, before Moltor turned away.

"No, I have another idea." he muttered, before turning back to them. "I need one of you, but which one? Hmm?"

He ran his left hand across.

"Let's just find out who deserves to be part of an experiment, and who does not?" he decided, pointing his sword at them, before slashing it out.

Back in the Hartford Mansion, the Rangers - expect Mack - were all sitting around a table, wearing their uniforms, playing a board game, which included mountain areas, cards, and money. (Jazz was on Ronny's left) Dax rolled two dice, scoring a five in total, as Jazz and Ronny counted their money.

"Five." he said, before moving his piece along. "One, two, three, four, five."

He put his piece down on a spot between two of the mountain areas.

"A car! Yes, yes, yes!" he whooped. "I win a convertible! Amana... Amana... Amana..."

Will rolled his left hand.

"Amanageza..." Dax said.

"Amaron Armongetti." Rose explained.

"Yeah." Dax said, picking up the toy model.

"You can't pronounce it, how do you expect to drive it?" Rose asked.

"He can't drive it. It's plastic and an inch long." Will said, holding his left hand up, his thumb and forefinger apart.

"Yes, and it's mine." Dax said. "All mine."

Ronny put her money down, as Jazz rolled her eyes, before Ronny picked up the dice, as Dax put his car down.

"Quit the yakking." Ronny said, rolling the dice. "Come on? Let's roll the dice. My turn. Seven."

She moved her piece along the board.

"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Destiny Card." Ronny said.

She picked one up and looked at it.

"Take one possession from any player." she read.

Dax, who held his hands out like holding a steering wheel, turned to her, as she turned to him. He looked at her, seeing what she wanted, as Will and Jazz looked at him.

"No." Dax said, taking his car.

Ronny put the card down, then grinned and rubbed his hands greedily, as Dax got up and ran to the other side of the pool table.

"Good, games over." Will said, tossing his money down.

Ronny began counting up her money, as Rose and Jazz both looked at her.

"Is winning all that important to you?" Rose asked.

"Um, yeah. Winning is what winners do." Ronny replied. "Where's your competitive spirt?"

"I usually take it at the door when I'm with my friends." Rose replied.

"Ronny, is that all you think about?" Jazz asked, frowning, making Ronny turn to her. "This was only a game. It's not like you're in one of your races, you know. There's a big difference being competitive in sport and in games."

"That's not how I see it." Ronny said.

Mr. Hartford suddenly came in, with Mack behind him, pushing a case on a cart towards them.

"Game time's over." Mr. Hartford said.

Will and the girls all got up as Mack stopped rolling the cart.

"Anyone interesting in testing the new blaster besides Mack?" Mr. Hartford asked, as Dax came over.

Mack unclipped the clips on the case, then opened it up, showing the new blaster, which was called the Drill Blaster, which had a handle with two silver bits on one end, a large orange barrel line going along, a silver handle at the top, and the end resembling the Drill Driver.

"Wow." Will said.

"Check it out." Ronny said.

"Sweet as." Jazz remarked.

"Ooh." Will whistled.

They all looked at the Drill Blaster, Ronny looking the most excited and eager.

"Count me out." Rose said.

Mr. Hartford turned to Mack, who shook his head.

"I've got a playdate with Spencer, testing Zord motherboards." Rose explained

She turned and ran off.

"Sorry, but I'm out too." Jazz said. "Got some stuff to do that'll take up some time."

She turned and ran off.

"Naptime. Need a rest." Will said, getting everyone's attention. "What? Look at me? It works."

He turned and walked off.

"Sorry. I'm taking some me time to get over the loss of my car." Dax sighed.

He handed it to Ronny, before he patted her shoulder, then he turned and walked off, before Ronny moved closer to the case.

"Oh, yeah. This baby is so mine." Ronny said, running her hand along the Drill Blaster.

A little later, Mack and Ronny - both morphed - were in an underground room, Mack standing behind a barrier, looking down at a target range, while Ronny was in a control room behind him. He aimed the Drill Blaster at the target range, when Ronny looked from behind the glass window behind him, then down at Mr. Hartford, who was on a computer screen.

"Okay, it doesn't look too hard." Mack said.

He fiddled with the top handle, before putting his left hand on the trigger.

"You sure you don't want me to fire the blaster first?" Ronny asked, annoyed. "I can handle a blaster better than anyone else?"

"I'm sure, Ronny, but I can appreciate the confidence and enthusiasm." Mr. Hartford said. "Mack will use the blaster first. Anytime you're ready, son?"

"Huh?" Mack muttered, turning around.

"Anytime you're ready, son?" Mr. Hartford said.

"Okay." Mack said.

He turned back and held the Drill Blaster up.

"But, Mr. Hartford..." Ronny began, as Mack fired the Drill Blaster, the impact making him drop it as he went flying away and hit a wall. "...I've come first in every single..."

She turned to Mack and ran towards him, who lay on his chest.

"Nice try, Mack. My turn." she said, pointing at herself.

She jogged over to the Drill Blaster.

"Ah!" Mack groaned, slamming his fist into the ground.

He pulled himself up as Ronny bent down and picked up the Drill Blaster, before he approached her.

"Careful, Ronny." he said, touching her shoulder, before rubbing his right arm. "It's got quite a kick."

"I'm sure it's nothing I can't handle." Ronny assured.

He approached the barrier and aimed the Drill Blaster.

"Fire!" she said, pulling the trigger. "AHH!"

She began to wobble as the Drill Blaster, before being knocked back by the impact, as a blast shot out, and ricocheted along the target range.

"AH!" Ronny moaned, hitting her back against the wall.

She fell onto her chest as the Drill Blaster hit the floor.

"Ah! Ah!" Ronny huffed, lifting her head up.

A little later, Mr. Hartford was in the base room, looking at a laptop no the small table, when Mack and Ronny both came down the stairs.

"Apparently, even in Ranger mode, the Drill Blaster's too strong." Mr. Hartford sighed, walking off.

"I could get used to it." Ronny reasoned.

"It blew you across the room, Ronny." Mack recalled, smirking.

He walked over to his father, before Ronny followed him, looking annoyed.

"Hartford Industries is developing this stabilizing shield." Mr. Hartford explained.

They all looked at the computer screen, which showed a circular chest shield, which had the Overdrive symbol on.

"It'll neutralize the kick in the Drill Blaster by surprising the impact." Mr. Hartford explained. "If only there was something with enough energy to power it."

The alarm suddenly went off, making them turn to another screen, which flashed the word 'Alert!', then Mr. Hartford pressed buttons on the computer, bringing up footage of dozens of Lava Lizards at the quarry.

"Lava Lizards!" Mack exclaimed.

He and Ronny both turned and ran off, knowing they had to stop the fight.

At the quarry, the Lava Lizards were all growling, most grouped together with Moltor, as others battled of each other, one of which slashed another down the chest, then quickly turned and slashed a third, which flipped onto its back.

"Yes." Moltor said, resting a sword on his right shoulder as he stepped forward. "A good fight, but we'll see how really tough you are."

He pointed at the winner, before looking at the ones behind him.

"Get him!" he commanded, holding his left hand out.

The Lava Lizards all charged forward, just as the Rangers - now morphed - all showed up and hid behind a large pile of dirt.

"Look that at; they're fighting each other?" Will said.

"Wanna bet on which one you think is going to win?" Ronny asked, before pointing forward. "I'll take the ugly one."

"And that one is..." Rose began, pointing forward.

"Uh, which one is the ugly one?" Jazz questioned.

Moltor came over on their left, before he turned to them.

"Whoa!" the Rangers gasped, turning to him.

"Meddling Rangers." Moltor snarled.

He shot lighting from his forehead, which hit the ground near the Rangers, making sparks come up from it.

"AHH!" they moaned.

They all went flying away slightly, hitting the ground, Rose and Mack rolling over slightly as they moaned.

"Come on?" Moltor called, turning to his Lava Lizards.

One stood in the middle of dozens of others, who slashed its sword as it spun around, then slashed some more, making them all vanish as it held its sword to its right. It turned to another, which came towards it, before they slashed their swords together, but then the first slashed the second across the chest, making it flip upwards into the air, as an explosion went off behind it. It hit the ground and vanished, as Moltor came over to the champion, laughing as he did.

"Excellent, my champion." Moltor said. "Now, your reward."

He held up his sword, pressed a button on it, then aimed and shot lighting from it at the Lava Lizard.

The Rangers all got up and looked at it, shocked and horrified.

"That looks uncomfortable." Mack remarked.

"What's Moltor doing to him?" Jazz questioned.

"It's just an experiment." Moltor explained. "You may not make it, but if you do, you will be the most powerful lizard of them all."

He stopped the lighting hitting the Lava Lizard, transforming it into a bulky Salamander/Lava Lizard hybrid, with horns on its head, nose, shoulders, forearms, legs and down its back, with golden armor on its chest, which made it resemble the Galaxy Megazord.

"AHH!" it roared.

"It worked!" Moltor said. "I shall call you Volkan."

Volkan growled and raised his arms up.

"This is trouble." Mack realized, clutching his fist. "Come on!"

The Rangers all began to charge at Volkan, before Moltor ran his left hand down his sword, then aimed and shot lighting from it, which hit the ground behind them, creating an explosion.

"AHH!" they yelled, getting knocked up.

Mack twirled around, as Ronny dived backwards, the rest forwards, before a puff of smoke came up in front of them.

Moltor smirked, before he turned and jumped towards Volkan, landing near him.

"Come, Volkan." he said, getting up.

Volkan roared as they turned and walked off, just as the Rangers all pulled themselves up.

"No you don't!" Mack snarled.

He began to charge after the pair, who both turned to him, before Volkan shot a fireball from his mouth, which hit the ground behind him, creating an explosion which knocked him up.

"AHHH!" he screamed, flipping forward.

He hit the ground on his back, then clutched his left forearm, before the others ran towards him.

"Oh!" Rose gasped.

"You alright?" Will asked, as he and Jazz helped Mack up to his knees.

"You hurt anywhere?" Jazz asked frantically.

Moltor huffed as he and Volkan turned around, then walked off through a puff of smoke, as the Rangers stared at them.

"What is that thing?" Will questioned, as Mack got to his feet.

Mack turned to the others, then back to the smoke.

"Maybe our end." he gulped.

Later, in the volcano, Moltor and Volkan were both standing together, Volkan roared.

"Yes. Half-lizard, half-dragon." Moltor said, as he began to walk around Volkan. "All the strength needed to defeat the Power Rangers."

He clutched his fist as Volkan turned to him.

"Hmm? But they too are strong." Moltor admitted, turning to Volkan. "We will need something to give you the advantage against them."

He walked off slightly as Volkan turned to him.

"Ah, I know just the thing." Moltor said, as he slowed his pace. "And soon...soon it'll be in our hands, thanks to Mr. Andrew Hartford himself."

He clutched his fist as he turned around to Volkan, who roared.

Meanwhile, in the Hartford Mansion, the Rangers - minus Will - and Mr. Hartford were all in the base, Mack looking at a laptop on the table, while Rose and Dax both sat by one of the wall computers, with Jazz and Ronny pacing around.

"It was the weirdest thing; when we arrived, the Lava Lizards were fighting each other until there was just one left." Mack explained.

"Sounds similar to some early tribal customs, where warriors of the same tribe would battle amongst themselves for riches or power ." Mr. Hartford said, getting everyone's attention.

He walked off as Ronny walked past him, before she turned while standing on Rose's right.

"Ha. Thank goodness we've evolved from there." she said, turning around.

The other Rangers all looked at her, as Jazz came up beside her.

"What?" she said.

"Still, why would Moltor have his forces do that?" Rose wondered.

"I think Moltor had them fight each other to decide who was the strongest for that experiment. He said so himself about Volkan being the most powerful of them all." Jazz deduced.

"Oh..." Rose said. "Good point."

Will came sliding down one of the poles, before he approached the others, as Mr. Hartford turned to them all.

"I think I may have solved the Drill Blaster energy problem." Mr. Hartford said, as the Rangers approached him. "First, I needed to find a Dragon Scale."

"What?" Will scoffed, sniggered.

"You know, in Gaelic writings, it is stated that the scale from a dragon holds enough energy to light the world." Rose explained.

"Exactly." Mr. Hartford confirmed.

"Dragons don't exist, and neither do their scales." Will scoffed, as Rose shrugged.

"I beg to differ." Mr. Hartford said. "There were reports of a magical dragon outside of a city called Briarwood. I purchased the scale from a record store owner, who claims it's from a dragon called Fireheart. When the time comes, I'd like Mack to be the first to try it."

"Mack?" Ronny said, annoyed. "Look, I can do anything he can do, and chances are, I can do better."

Mack sighed, while Jazz rolled her eyes, as Rose turned away.

"I've proved myself over and over again. On the range, I have the highest scores." Ronny stated.

"I know all of that, Ronny, and-" Mr. Hartford began.

"It's alright, dad. Ronny can go first." Mack assured, sighing.

"Yes." Ronny said quietly, pulling her left fist back.

She grinned and looked at the others, as Jazz and Rose leaned closer to her.

"Is that all she thinks about; being the best in everything?" Jazz muttered, annoyed.

"I guess so." Rose whispered.

A little later, Ronny came into the main room, seeing Mack reading a book on the couch.

"Hey, Mack, you up for a game of foosball?" Ronny asked, approaching him.

"Uh, not today." Mack sighed, as Ronny crouched down on the other side of the couch. "I'm trying to finish the book."

He turned a page.

"Are you sure it's not that, uh, you're afraid?" Ronny asked, mockingly.

"No. I'm not afraid." Mack lied nervously.

"Well, then you'll play with me." Ronny said. "Come on, it'll be fun."

Mack closed his book up.

"To be honest, Ronny, you kinda take the fun out of playing in a game." he said.

Ronny frowned slightly, as Spencer came over and put his fist near his mouth.

"Ahem." he said, getting their attention. "Mr. Hartford has requested you join the other Rangers in escorting the dragon scale from the warehouse. He can't take the chance of it falling into the wrong hands."

Mack got up and walked out off past Spencer, as Ronny followed, before she stopped as Mack left the room.

"Spencer, am I fun to play with?" she asked, turning to him.

"Like a moldy bag of rocks, miss." Spencer answered.

Ronny looked puzzled by his answer, before she turned and left the room.

"Perhaps I should've lied." Spencer said, before he left the room.

In the city, two men were loading a crate into the back of a truck, before putting it onto another, then they both turned and jumped out of the truck, before one pulled the top half of back door down.

"We better hurry." he said. "Mr. Hartford himself is waiting for this delivery."

His friend nodded, before he lifted up the bottom half of the door, then the first man pulled a handle lock down, then locked the door.

A little later, they both sat in front of the truck, one of them driving it off, moving past a large open warehouse door at the docks, when Moltor came running from another one, then got in front of the truck and turned to it. The driver turned the truck right as he skidded it to a halt near Moltor.

"Get them, Volkan!" Moltor commanded.

Volkan began approaching the truck, as the two men got out, the driver staring frantically at Moltor as he closed the door.

"Look at that thing?" he gasped. "Let's get outta here!"

He turned around, just as Volkan came out from behind the truck.

"Well done. Now get our prize." Moltor commanded, holding his right arm up.

Volkan growled and punched the back of the truck as his right fist glowed, smashing a large hole in it, showing the crate. He fired a blast from his mouth, which hit and shattered the crate, leaving the dragon scale visible, which was orange with a flame pattern on, and a yellow gem. Once he grabbed it, he turned and approached Moltor, who walked towards him, as the two men ran off.

"Here, master." Volkan said, holding up the scale.

Moltor took it and held it up.

"Yes. Yes. This is what you'll need." he said.

Blasts hit the ground near them both, making sparks come up from it, before they turned right.

"Let's go!" the Rangers said, somersaulting forward, holding their blasters.

Will went first, followed by Dax, Ronny, Rose, Jazz, and then Mack.

"Hyah!" they yelled.

They all landed crouched down, before they got up and held up their blasters.

"Not so fast, flameboy." Rose sneered, jokingly.

"That's right. That scale belongs to us." Dax said, putting his blaster under his left arm.

"We'll see about that." Moltor sneered. "Volkan!"

"Yeah!" Volkan growled, raising his arms up.

He jumped up and dived towards the Rangers, landing near them, before he punched Mack, who ran past him slightly, knocking him away, then he punched Jazz hard in the chest, knocking her back.

"OH!" she moaned.

Volkan whacked Rose's back with his right arm.

"AH!" she moaned, getting knocked down.

Dax kicked Volkan's arm, but then Volkan whacked him in the chest, knocking him down, then he punched Ronny's chest, knocking her down.

"AH!" she moaned.

Volkan punched Will in the chest, making him flip sideways onto his back, before Dax got up and turned to him.

"Right!" he said.

He charged at Volkan and tried to kick him, but he blocked it with his forearm, then whacked Dax with his left arm, then uppercut punched his chest, making him turn around.

"AH!" he moaned.

He hit the ground and rolled over, as the other Rangers gathered around.

"Dax!" Jazz cried.

She, Ronny and Rose all crouched down around him, as Mack stood behind him, Will in front.

"I'll take it from here." Will said, as his headlights flashed.

He held down his Drive Slammer, then held it up as Dax got up behind him.

"Drive Slammer!" he shouted.

He charged at Volkan, then spun around and hit his chest with his hammer, but didn't phase him. Will spun around and hit Volkan twice with his hammer in an X shape, then he tried again, but Volkan grabbed the end of the handle, pulling the hammer down, then he raised it up and punched Will in the chest, knocking him away.

"AH!" he moaned, before hitting a crate. "AH!"

Ronny jumped and dived towards Volkan with her Drive Claws.

"Drive Claws!" she shouted.

She tried to whack him with her right one, then spun around and tried with her left, then spun around and tried with her right again, then with her left, but her attacks bounced off him.

"Oh, man!" she groaned, angrily.

She turned as Volkan grabbed her, then threw her away, before he shot a fireball from his mouth, which hit the ground behind her, creating an explosion that knocked her up.

"AHHH!" she screamed. "AHH!"

She hit the ground and rolled over near the others, who were gathered around Will.

"Ronny?" Mack gasped.

"Are you alright?" Dax asked, as they and Jazz crouched down her, while Will got up.

Mack got up and looked at Valkon and Moltor, who laughed, spotting the scale.

"Why does he want the scale anyway?" he wondered, taking out his sword. "One way to find out."

He charged at Volkan, then tried to slash him, but Volkan blocked it with his left arm, then blocked another, then Mack spun around as Volkan tried to whack him, slashing his chest slightly, but not hurting him. Volkan turned to Mack, who kicked his left hand, then Mack tried to stab him, but he knocked the sword slightly, then punched it, then Mack ducked and spun around, trying to slash Volkan's legs, but missed as Volkan lifted his leg up. Volkan tried to punch Mack, but missed as Mack spun around and backed away, then Mack jumped up and spun around, diving over him, before he dived down and slashed Volkan's back as he landed crouched down.

"AHH!" Volkan groaned, stumbling forward.

He turned around and growled, then tried to punch Mack, who blocked it with his sword, then he wrapped his arm around Volkan's, before he spun them around, so their backs faced the other Rangers, before Mack turned to them.

"A weak spot! Fire at his back!" Mack ordered.

The other Rangers all took out their blasters, before the girls crouched as they all aimed. (Jazz was between Will and Ronny)

"Fire!" they shouted, firing their blasters.

The blasts all hit Volkan's back, making him groan, as Mack moved and rolled away, before he turned and got up, holding his sword diagioanlly.

"NO!" Moltor gasped.

The girls all got up, as they, Dax and Will all stared at Volkan.

"Hey, we hurt him." Ronny realized, looking at her blaster.

"His back is vulnerable." Mack said, waving his sword.

He began to charge forward, when Moltor jumped up and dived towards him with his right sword.

"Leave him alone!" Moltor demanded.

Mack blocked his sword with his own, before Moltor slashed his, making Mack spin around, then they both slashed their swords together. They locked their swords together, before Moltor knocked Mack's up, then slashed him across the chest, knocking him down.

"AH!" he moaned.

He rolled along the ground as the others ran towards him, Will jumping over him slightly, while the girls crouched near him.

"Mack!" Rose gasped.

Moltor growled and aimed his sword at them, shooting lighting from it, which hit the ground near the Rangers as Mack sat up.

"AHH!" they moaned, as a puff of smoke came up in front of them.

Moltor lowered his sword as Volkan came up beside him.

"You'll have revenge, Volkan." Moltor promised.

They both turned and ran off, as the smoke cleared, showing the Rangers all turned and crouched down, with one of their arms over their helmets. All but Mack got up and ran forward slightly, before looking around.

"They're gone!" Will said.

"But why?" Rose questioned.

"To heal and make that dragon stronger." Mack realized, getting up.

"But not strong enough." Will hoped.

"Well, I hope you're right." Mack said.

Later, in the Hartford Mansion, the Rangers - minus Ronny - were were all in the base room with Mr. Hartford, Will and Dax both sitting by a small panel screen, Rose by a computer, Jazz a laptop, while Mack and Mr. Hartford both looked at the large main screen, which showed a map of the world.

Dax sat by a computer, before he turned to Mr. Hartford

"There's no sign of Moltor, Mr. Hartford." Dax said.

"Dax, can you please call me 'Andrew'?" Mr. Hartford asked. "Every time you say 'Mr. Hartford', I look around for my father."

"Got it. You want us to think of you as someone young." Dax understood, pointing at him.

Rose and Jazz both smirked as they turned around slightly, as did Mack.

"Ow!" Mr. Hartford said, hurtfully.

"No sign of him here either." Rose sighed, as Mr. Hartford came up behind her. "The Northern quadrant is clear."

"Keep looking. He'll show." Mr. Hartford hoped.

"Let's just hope it's before he makes that dragon stronger." Jazz sighed.

Meanwhile, Moltor and Volkan were inside a warehouse, which was burning up with heat and stream from gas cylinders, as the room was blazing red. The Dragon scale was in between them both, on the same type of sub-atomic energy generator his weather machine had been on.

"As soon as these gas cylinders ignite, it will get hot enough, and the scale with expand, and wrap around your body." Moltor explained. "You will be invincible."

A thermometer tank near them kept on rising up, going past 1,000 degrees.

"Yeah!" Volkan whooped, holding his fists up.

Back in the Hartford Mansion, Ronny entered the back room, passing the pool table, where Spencer was cleaning an apple.

"Hey, Spencer. You got a minute?" she asked.

Spencer put the apple in a fruit bowl on a counter table.

"So long as you don't want to 'Whoop' me at a game or anything, miss." he said, picking up a duster.

He turned and began dusting a shelf on his right.

"Okay, I admit it; I am a little competitive." Ronny said, sitting down at the counter.

"Ha!" Spencer scoffed, turning to her. "A marathon is a little competitive. You're the entire Olympics."

"Well, so? I like to win." Ronny stated.

"Ah. I imagine it's not your winning that's the problem." Spencer assured, as he turned and put the duster down. "Rather a matter of having to win at all cost. It gets a bit old."

"But winning is fun." Ronny argued.

"But in my day, playing was fun." Spencer explained. "Winning was just what happened to one of the participants."

Ronny put her head down slightly, thinking hard about what he said, before she took her tracker off as it beeped.

"They found Moltor." she said, turning away.

Spencer nodded and smiled.

"I've gotta go." Ronny said. "Thanks, Spencer."

She turned and ran out of the room

"I really should ask for a raise." Spencer said.

Later, the Rangers all arrived at the warehouse, looking around outside as they ran towards it, before they stopped.

"There's no sign of him." Will said.

Moltor suddenly dived down and landed near them, getting their attention.

"Look harder, Rangers." he snarled.

He waved his left hand around, before shooting lighting from his forehead, which hit the ground near them, creating an explosion, which knocked them up.

"AHH!" they moaned.

Rose and Ronny both flipped forward, while Will and Jazz spun around, before they all hit the ground on their backs.

"AH!" they moaned.

They all groaned, Will clutching his left shoulder, Rose her chest, Jazz her right shoulder. Motlor huffed as they all got to their feet, groaning, then Mack took his tracker off his arm and held it up.

"Ready?" he asked.

"Ready!" the others said, doing the same.

They all opened up their trackers and pressed the top button on it.

"Overdrive Accelerate!"

(Morph sequence)

The screen split into six, Ronny in the top left, Jazz in the top middle, Rose in the top right, Will in the bottom left, Mack in the bottom middle, Dax in the bottom right. They all ran the wheel of their trackers down their arms, before they held them to their right, before the wheels stopped. They turned them and fired a beam at them, bringing up the projection of their suits and weapons, before they spun around and morphed up, with their chest symbol popping up on them. Their shoulder armor appeared on them, before their helmets did, then they did their fight poses.

(End morph sequence)

They all charged at Moltor, who held up his right sword and charged back at them. Mack jumped slightly and kicked the sword, making him spin around as Mack dived past him, then he turned and tried to slash Jazz, who ducked and rolled past him. He blocked a kick from Ronny with his sword, then blocked a punch from Rose with it, then turned and nearly slashed Will with it, missing by inches, then he turned and tried to slash Dax, but missed as he ducked. Dax grabbed his sword as he tried again, before he pulled the sword away, making Dax stumble and fall onto his back, rolling onto his chest.

Ronny tried to kick Moltor, who blocked it with his sword, then he blocked a kick from Rose with his hand, then blocked one from Jazz with his sword. He ducked as Rose tried to punch him, before he turned and kicked Will's forearm hard, knocking him down onto his back.

"Ah!" he moaned, hitting some rubble.

Mack came over and jumped and spun around to kick Moltor, but missed as he ducked, then Moltor blocked a punch with his forearm, then hit Mack's with the handle of his sword, making him him spin around. Mack blocked the handle of Moltor's sword with his right forearm, before he turned and grabbed Moltor's forearm, pulling it down, then he looked at the others.

"He's mine! Find the scale!" he ordered.

"Got it." Will said.

"Yeah." Rose said.

"Right." Jazz said, before they ran off.

"Let's go." Ronny said, looking at Dax.

"Okay." Dax said.

They both turned and ran after Will, Rose and Jazz, as Mack spun around away from Moltor, before punching his sword slightly.

Inside the warehouse, Volkan roared as the temperature in the room kept on rising, just as the Rangers came in, with stream coming out all over the room.

"Whoa!" the boys gasped.

"AH!" Dax yelped.

They all stopped as stream kept coming out all over. (Jazz was on Will's left)

"Now this is hot!" Ronny exclaimed, lifting hers up one at a time as she backed away.

"Even our Ranger suits won't protect us from this extreme heat much longer!" Dax exclaimed.

The temperature on the thermometer tank went past 1,500 degrees, as Volkan roared.

Outside, Mack dived towards Moltor with his Drive Lance, trying to slash Moltor with it, but Moltor blocked it with his sword. Mack then tried to slash him again, but missed as he backed away, then Moltor dodged as Mack tried to stab him, before they turned to each other, then Mack held his lance downwards as Moltor tried to slash him, blocking it.

"Moltor, your plan to create a super dragon will never succeed!" Mack swore, lowering his lance so part of his back came against Moltor's chest. "Not while I'm breathing."

"I'm afraid you're too late." Moltor hissed.

They both pulled apart and spun around, before they stared at each other, then Moltor jumped up and dived backwards.

"Gotta go." he said.

Mack looked up as he landed on a rooftop, before looking down at Mack.

"I hate big noises." Moltor said, before he turned and ran off.

"Big?" Mack questioned, before taking his tracker out. "That's a good idea. Spencer, release the Zords?"

He pressed the 'Go' button.

"Go 1..." he said, pressing it.

(Zord bay)

The Dump Driver revved up.

(Warehouse area)

"...go 2..." Mack said, pressing it.

(Zord bay)

The Speed Driver revved up.

(Warehouse area)

"...go 3..." Mack said, pressing it.

(Zord bay)

The Gyro Driver powered up.

(Warehouse area)

"...go 4..." Mack said, pressing it.

(Zord bay)

The Dozer Driver revved up.

(Warehouse area)

"...go 5..." Mack said, pressing it.

(Zord bay)

The Sub Driver powered up.

(Warehouse area)

"...go 6!" Mack said, pressing it.

(Zord bay)

The Jeep Driver revved up.

(Warehouse area)

"Yeah!" Mack whooped, tossing the tracker up.

He caught it, then crouched down.

"Go, go, go!" he shouted, running the wheel of it along the ground.

(Zord bay)

The Dump Driver began to move along a ramp, followed by the Speed Driver, as the Gyro Driver began to lift up, its propellers spinning. The Dozer Driver began moving along a ramp, as the Sub Driver moved down a ramp and into some water, as the Jeep Driver moved along a ramp.

(The city)

The DriveMax Zords all quickly combined into the DriveMax Megazord, which then stood over the warehouse, looking down at it, all the Rangers in the cockpit.

"It was too hot." Dax explained. "We had to get out."

"What should we do?" Rose questioned.

"Smash the building." Will suggested.

"No! That won't stop the heat from rising!" Ronny argued, turning to him.

She touched his shoulder as he banged his console.

"Think of something?" she said.

"There has to be something we can do?" Jazz wondered.

"Maybe we can control the damage." Mack said.

Everyone turned to him.

"How about a new Zord." Mack said, before he pressed the 'Go' and '10' buttons on his tracker. "Number 10, Cement Driver, go!"

He spun the wheel around on his tracker.

(Zord bay)

The Cement Driver revved up, which resembled a cerement machine, was green, with silver at the top for the roller part, before it raced off, coming out of a waterfall.

(Warehouse area)

The Cement Driver soon arrived in the area, then pulled over next to the DriveMax Megazord, which held up its shovel, while the Cement Driver had a gravel holder on top. The DriveMax Megazord dug its shovel into the ground, before holding it up slightly.

"Adding a little gravel." Mack said, turning his wheel.

The DriveMax Megazord held its shovel near the gravel holder, pouring the gravel into it and the Cement Driver.

Mack hit the 'Megazord' button.

"DriveMax Megazord, Mixer formation!" he shouted.

The Sub Driver detached from the DriveMax Megazord.

Mack hit the '10' button, then spun the wheel on his tracker.

The back of the Cement Driver rotated backwards, while the front rotated up 90 degrees, before it took the Sub Driver's place on the DriveMax Megazord. It held up the Cement Driver, as the cement part opened up into three parts, spinning the middle bit around like it was a Gatling gun, before it closed up.

(The warehouse)

Volkan growled as the temperature went over 2,000 degrees, causing sparks to come out all over the room.

(Outside)

The DriveMax Megazord looked down at the warehouse, as fire began to come out of it.

"It's gonna blow!" Ronny panicked, turning with her left forearm over her visor.

"Hope this works, Mack." Rose said.

"Mixer, shoot!" Mack shouted, pushing his left knob forward.

The DriveMax Megazord held up its left arm, before the end of the Cement Driver opened up - the three parts spinning around - shooting cement out of it at the warehouse, covering it in quick-drying cement, as it dried up quickly.

"No!" Moltor gasped, standing near it. "It can't be? Oh, what's happening?!"

The cement began to crack, before it burst open, knocking him away.

"AH!" he moaned.

Small fires burned around the warehouse, as Moltor hit his back against some, before he turned.

"NO!" he gasped, as Volkan came stumbling out, still the same. "Volkan is the same?"

He ran to the edge of the small rooftop he was on, looking down at Volkan.

"Where is my super-lizard?" he demanded.

The Rangers all dived down towards the scene, landing near the building, looking up at Moltor.

"He's not coming." Dax smirked. "Hope you don't mind, but we took the scale before we left."

(Flashback)

The Rangers - expect Mack - were all in the warehouse, as stream kept coming out, building up the heat.

"It's too hot!" Dax exclaimed. "We have to get outta here!"

"I have an idea." Will said.

All but Rose turned around, while she crouched down behind them all.

"Yeah, go for it!" Ronny said.

"Do it, Rose." Jazz said.

Rose took out her Double-O Zip Shooter, before she jumped over the others and fired a magnetic hook from it, which hit the scale.

"Got it!" she said, pulling it off the generator.

(Flashback ends)

"Sorry, but it was ours anyway." Rose said, holding the scale.

"What are you doing?!" Moltor demanded.

Mack spread his legs out, before holding up his left hand.

"Kick into Overdrive..." he said, clicking his fingers, before he held his left arm down diagonally across from himself, while holding his right fist near him, then he waved his arms out, so his right was above him, and his left out to his left. "...Red Ranger!"

Will put his legs together, then held his hands up, crossing his forearms over on his right.

"Kick into Overdrive..." he shouted, clapping his hands past each other, then held his left hand at his side, while waving his right across to his left side, holding his thumb up, then, pulled his right fist back and held it by his hip, while holding his left hand down as he bent down slightly. "...Black Ranger!"

Dax put his legs together, then held his right arm up and his left down, his back two fingers pressed against his palms.

"Kick into Overdrive..." he shouted, raising his left knee up, clapping his left hand against it, before he waved his arms out, then held them to either side of himself. "...Blue Ranger!"

Ronny separated her legs, then held out her hands in front of her.

"Kick into Overdrive..." she shouted, crossing her forearms over in a plus shape, her right clutched in a fist, before she swapped them over, then banged her forearms against each other, before holding her fists up on either side of her. "...Yellow Ranger!"

Rose put her legs together, then held up her right hand diagonally past her like a chopper, her thumb against her palm.

"Ha! Kick into Overdrive..." she shouted, turning her hand, then she lowered it and clapped it against her left hand, before holding it on her right side, then held her left hand on the left side of her helmet, and her right down across from her. "...Pink Ranger!"

Jazz put her legs together, then held her hands out in front of her close together.

"Kick into Overdrive..." she shouted, clutching her hands into fists, then pulled them back, holding her right up diagonally, and her left fist by her hip. "...Purple Ranger!"

The Rangers all stood at ease.

"Call to adventure!" they shouted.

Mack clutched his left fist, then held his right across his chest, before they all held both their fists to their left, holding them in a circle shape.

"Power Rangers, Operation Overdrive!" they shouted, holding their left fists up, their right by their hips.

Mack held his right arm up, with his left down, while Rose held her right hand near his helmet, looking at him, with her left fist by her hip, while Dax turned left and held his arms out to make a large mouth, then turned and held his arms in that position beside Rose, while Jazz, Ronny and Will did the opposite of them respectfully, as an explosion went off behind them all.

"Yeah!" they whooped.

Volkan growled as he and Moltor stared at them all.

"Are you through?" Motlor asked.

"We're just getting started." Mack smirked.

He charged forward as Volkan shot a fireball from his mouth at him, which hit the ground behind the others, creating an explosion.

"AH!" they yelped.

Mack kept charging forward, as the others all turned with one of their forearms over their visors.

"AH!" they yelled.

Mack jumped up and dived towards Volkan as an explosion went off near them, before he kicked Volkan in the shoulder, knocking him back. Mack landed in front of him, then tried to punch him, but missed as he ducked, then Mack tried to whack him, but he blocked it with his forearm. Mack spun around and kicked Volkan's arm, then he rolled past Volkan, who tried to whack him, before they turned to each other - Mack getting up.

"Hyah!" Mack yelled.

He jumped up and twirled around over Volkan, landing behind him as Volkan ran forward, before he turned and charged Mack, moving to punch him, before Mack turned around and punched his belly.

"Oh!" he moaned, stumbling back.

Mack jumped up and spun around.

"Ha!" he yelled, kicking Volkan in the chest, sending him flying away.

"AHH!" he yelled, before hitting the ground. "AH!"

"Impossible!" Moltor exclaimed, turning to Mack.

"Ha." Mack scoffed.

Rose came over to Ronny and Jazz.

"Here you go, Ronny." she said, holding up the scale.

"Thanks." Ronny said, taking it.

"I hope this works." Jazz said.

"So do I." Ronny said, before she took out her tracker and opened it up. "We have the scale. Send the shield."

(The base)

Mr. Hartford stood at the main computer.

"It's on its way." he said, as he got up and turned around.

He turned and picked up the shield, before he moved and put it on the teleporting table, then he pressed a button on its panel, making the shield vanish.

(Warehouse area)

The shield appeared in Ronny's hand.

"Got it." she said.

She ran over towards Mack, puzzling Jazz.

"Uh, what's she doing?" Jazz whispered.

"You got me." Rose whispered.

Ronny stopped near Mack.

"Mack, go on. Take it." she said, getting his attention.

"I think you deserve it, Ronny." Mack said.

"Yeah. Well, I've kinda been a bonehead about a lot of things." Ronny admitted. "I kind of-"

"I love all this nice stuff, but would somebody please blast that thing!" Will said, pointing at Volkan as Mack and Ronny turned to him.

"Okay, here goes." Mack said, taking the shield.

He turned around and turned the shield over, then put the scale into it, powering it up, then he put it on his chest. Silver armor began to appear on his shoulders, then his back like a metal vest jacket.

"Defender Vest!" he shouted, holding his left hand up. "Ready!"

The Drill Blaster appeared in his hand, only the barrel line was green, and the end resembled an open version of the Cement Driver.

"Uh. Can't stand the heat, stay out of the furnace." he joked, aiming it.

He fired it, the end spinning around, shooting a orange beam out, which hit Volkan, turning him into a statue.

"Drill mode!" Mack shouted, grabbing the top.

He lowered the Drill Blaster slightly, as it was in Tri-Laser mode, then he turned the barrel around, showing the orange side, then he lowered the handle down, making the drill end come out. He held it up as the other Rangers came up around him.

"Drill Blaster!" he shouted.

He aimed it as Rose and Ronny both crouched down and touched his hips, while Jazz and Dax got behind him and touched his shoulders, while Will grabbed Ronny's and Jazz's arms.

"Ready!" they shouted.

"Fire!" Mack shouted, pulling the trigger.

He fired the Drill Blaster, which shot a beam shaped like the drill end, which hit and destroyed Volkan.

"It's only the beginning, Rangers." Moltor snarled, before he turned and ran off.

Mack held up the Drill Blaster as Rose and Ronny got up.

"Yeah!" Rose whooped.

"Nice one, Mack." Ronny remarked.

"Thanks for playing, Moltor." Mack said.

The next day, at the Hartford Mansion, Mack and Ronny were playing foosball together, when the other Rangers came up behind Mack, all out of uniform. (Jazz was on Will's right)

"You guys, look at this?" Will said. "You guys are still playing?"

"We went to a movie and grabbed some burgers." Dax said.

"I thought you were a vegan, Jazz?" Ronny questioned.

"I had a veggie burger." Jazz replied.

"Oh." Ronny said.

"What are you up too; like 90 games or something?" Rose asked.

"Same game." Ronny replied.

"Tie score." Mack breathed.

"You know, it's just a matter of time before you're going down." Ronny said. "I've never lost."

"Yeah and nor have I." Mack said. "Granted, I've only played Spencer and that's not much to brag about."

"I heard that!" came Spencer's voice through the vents.

Jazz, Dax and Rose all looked around slightly, as Will kept watching Mack and Rose, before Mack scored.

"Oh, yes!" he whooped, jumping up, his right arm up. "Ha, ha!"

Everyone turned to Ronny, who looked shocked.

"I lost?" she said.

Everyone looked at her, thinking and worried she was gonna get mad, but she just smiled and giggled.

"Huh?" Jazz muttered.

"You know, it's not so bad." Ronny said, as the others smiled. "Anyone wanna play another?"

"No!" the others said together.

Ronny smiled and folded her arms.

Meanwhile, down in the base, Mr. Hartford - wearing glasses - was reading a book, when Spencer came over with a tray with a cup and teapot on.

"Ahem." Spencer said, clearing his throat.

"Spencer, I think I've found something." Mr. Hartford said.

"Hopefully it's the papers to set me free from this indentured servitude." Spencer hoped.

"No such luck, my friend." Mr. Hartford assured, as Spencer approached him. "I think I've found where to start our hunt..."

Spencer put the tray down on the table behind Mr. Hartford, who showed him the page.

"...for the next jewel." Mr. Hartford said.

He pulled back a page, showing an image of a bird, with the words 'Hou-Ou' on beneath it.

"The legendary Hou-Ou Bird." he explained.
