"Where are they going?" Hunters said making sure to stay out of sight as he followed Luz and Amity.
Amity and Luz soon made it to the Grubgby field of Hexside and saw that the habit had a dome around it.
"Okay how do you think we get him back inside." Amity questioned. The next moment the red cardinal pecked the dome and it came down allowing the bird to fly in and join the ones that had yet to find a partner. "That's good but now they're open to just be taken."
"I think I've got an idea." Luz said as Aqua became a staff. Luz then spun the staff making a circle and slammed the end down making vine come out of the ground and increasing the habitat in a vince cage with thorns on the outside. "There now they're protected and Principal Bump should know how to get rid of them."
"Nice but maybe just to be on the safe side." Amity said, making her own spell circle. That then made Abomination goo circle around the dome of vines. "Principal Bump was great with Abominations so dispelling that should be easy for him."
"Cool, now then." Luz said, turning around. "You want to tell me why you're following me again. You Golden Goof."
"It's the Golden Guard." Hunter said coming out of hiding. "And I was given the mission of delivering this to you and a sign of good faith." Hunter then brought out a piece of Coral Wood.
"Is that Coral wood?" Luz asked, eyeing the wood and holding Aqua tightly. "Why do you have it and why offer it to me."
Hunter took a deep breath then explained, "The Emperore knows you don't want anything to do with the Coven but we would like to be on good relations with mermaids. I was to offer you this Coral wood should you not receive a Palismen, but since you have we hope you might give it to another mermaid and speak on our behalf."
Luz thought for a moment then said, "I won't take the Coral wood to a mermaid, but I will see if I can convince a mermaid to speak with you insead." Luz had Aqua turn back to normal and lay on her shoulder. "If you wish to have good relations with them then you should be the one's talking to them not use me as a bridge." to say Hunter was shocked would have been an understatement. "But if none are willing to meet then I will take the Wood to show them that you are reaching out a hand for peace. Is that accepted?"
"I will speak with the Emperor, but that should be alright." Hunter quickly said back, getting ready to leave when he noticed his staff was out of power. "Great, looks like I'm walking back."
"Before you go," Amity shouted, stopping Hunter. "Why?"
"Why what?" Hunter questioned.
"Why are you so bent on doing all this for the Emperor?" Amity asked. "No office but you seem like you're not all that happy."
Hunter waited a moment thinking about his answer then said, "I do it so that I can prove I'm worthy of where I stand, and I didn't get just by being related to the Emperor."
Luz and Amity looked at each other then back at Hunter who was walking away. Luz then held Amity's hand and asked, "Any chance you can fly me home."
"Sure Luz." Amity said as they got on her staff. As they flew away they failed to notice a spirit watching them from a distance.
Hidden Pirate Ship (Captains Quarters)
"The Mermaid is closer to the Blight than I thought, I can use this to my advantage." Bloodlust said as she had the spirit return to the orb in his hands.
"Sir we got all the gear you requested, and our cover has yet to be blown." a crewman said, opening the door.
"Good, now we just need the bait, and our trap will become complete." Captain Bloodlust said.
Emperor's castile
Hunter soon made his way back to the castle and immediately went to see his uncle and give him his report. As he opened the door to the throne Hunter Lilith was about to leave.
"I guess we both had news for the Emperor." Hunter thought as Lilith walked past him glaring at him. Hunter walked up to the throne then bowed. "I have news on the mermaid Emperor Belos."
"It took you longer than I thought." Belos said calmly.
"I wanted to do it without an audience around her." Hunter answered. "But she was always surrounded by someone that might not know what she is."
"I see and were you able to give her the Coral wood?" Belos asked.
"She has a Palismen made of Coral wood so instead she offered to speak with the mermaids and have us give them the Coral wood personnel as a peace offering."
Belos didn't say anything for a moment then said, "That is better news than I was expecting, good work Hunter."
"Thank you Belos." Hunter said, holding the wood. "I should return this to you."
"No, you have proven yourself this far. I will entrust you with completing this assignment." Belos stated.
"Understood Belos." Hunter said with a bit of joy. "You won't reheat this." Hunter then left the throne room.
"Looks like your plan might just work after all." the shadow said.
"Yes, soon the day of unity will be more than a dream." Belos said as his eyes glowed. "Soon all my work will be complete, and these creatures will be cleaned from the world."
Hexside Grubgy field
As the Bat queen returned for the Palismen habitat she saw Principal Bump taking down the vine dome.
"Hello, Bat Queen, all Palismen are accounted for, but I must wonder why someone would put another dome up to protect them." Principal Bump questioned.
"Probably wanted to make sure the little ones were safe." BQ said. Principal Bump shrugged then walked away not needing to know the answer considering the Palismen were safe. "Alright little one's time to go." Just then the red cardinal flew up to the Bat Queen. "What is it, little one?" the cardinal tweeted some more. "You've found someone after all this time. Go then." the red cardinal soon flew away to the one he knew would be his partner.
Emperor's Castle (Hunter room)
As Hunter laid on his bed, he couldn't help but feel happy after a night like he's. Just then a red cardinal caught his attention.
"Palismen!" Hunter said loudly, grabbing the bird, but soon released it, not feeling like letting Belos know about it. "You shouldn't be here, it would be bad if Belos found out about you." Just then the red cardinal glowed then changed into a staff. "I was not expecting that." Hunter then softly placed a hand on the cardinal's head and rubbed it gently.
