Chapter 1: Strong for Others
"So, Izuku started this journal, when he was 13, because his mother asked him... Inko Midoriya, huh? Where have I heard that name before?"
Izuku Midoriya, is lost. His mother has been sick for a couple of years now, and with each passing day it is getting worse.
He wasn't paying any attention in class as the teacher droned off about the lecture "Midoriya, do you mind reading page 16?"
Izuku nodded as he picked up the book and started to read its content, not really caring about what it had. And while he was reading, he felt something tap the back of his head. He stopped talking and slowly turned to the idiot that threw a ball of paper, it was the new kid and he was clearly trying to be amused in the boring class.
The teacher seeing that Izuku got angry gulped "M-Midoriya, please continue, and the rest, don't interrupt the class.
Izuku gave the smug kid one last glare before turning to the book "As the leaves-" he stopped as he felt another tap on the back of his head. He took a deep breath as the kid laughed.
He stopped when he felt the chair of Izuku being thrown at his face.

"You got in another fight?" Inko asked Izuku that shrugged as he prepared the medicine for his mother.
"Don't worry about it, I'm fine." He smiled at her and Inko gave him a disapproving look.
"You threw a chair at your classmate." She stated and Izuku sighed.
"I know. But he was being an ass."
"Izuku."
"I know I am in the wrong here." Izuku said as he walked with the tray to his mother's bed. "But he deserved it."
Inko sighed "You are strong, you know that right?" She asked and Izuku raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah?"
"And I won't be here for much longer."
"Mom don't say that kind of-"
"Izuku. Do you know why you are strong?" Inko asked and Izuku looked even more confused.
"Because I train?"
"Because you are meant to help others." Inko smiled "I remember when you were little, and you wanted to be like Robin Hood or Zoro when you grew up." She chuckled.
Izuku smiled "Mom I was probably four."
"And you still learned to use a sword."
"It is a Shirasaya, but yeah, because it is cool." Izuku laughed before getting serious "From where is this coming from?"
Inko took a deep breath "Izuku, I want you to promise me something." Izuku nodded "I want you to help people. Any way you want, but I don't want you to become someone... someone who harms others because of me. Just how you are helping me, I want you to help others."
Izuku frowned "I-" And the door was knocked to interrupt him. He sighed knowing who it was. "I'll be right back."
As he opened the door, he glared at the man "What?"
The man who was the land lord, who increase the rent without any warning glared back "Rent's due."
"Yeah, yeah. We'll pay later." He went to close the door but the jackass placed his foot to avoid it.
"You have until tonight, or else I will call the cops on you and your mother." After that, he left.
Izuku slammed the door closed and glared at it. "Izuku?"
He took a deep breath as he went to Inko "Sorry mom, is just that..." He sighed "I don't know what to do now."
Inko nodded "I know someone, who will help you." Inko said and Izuku raised an eyebrow "And... under my bed, there is an envelope with money, it should help you."
"Mom... I-"
"Izuku... pull the plug. And promise me-"
"Mom what are you talking about!? What do you mean pull the plug!?"
"Izuku..."
"No! I... I will not do it."
"Izuku listen to me."
"We will pay the rent with that money, I will find a job, quit school but-"
"Izuku Midoriya." Izuku stopped rambling and looked at Inko with teary eyes "That money is for your college, your future. And I will invest it in you, knowing that you are going to become great. I am not asking you to be a hero. I am asking you to be a good person. Can you promise me that?"
Izuku gulped and nodded "I... I promise you that."
The next day, the property was burned to the ground, and Izuku and Inko Midoriya were declared dead.

"You know kid, I never thought that the son of Inko Midoriya would come to me. My condolences by the way."
Izuku hummed as the man, Giran that for some reason owed his mom a favor kept talking. He only took the money and the shirasaya with him. The rest burned to the ground.
Giran smirked "Not much of a talker, are we?"
"My mom just died; I don't want to talk too much."
Giran smirked and nodded "Makes sense. Joker was a great thief after all, I will miss her deeply."
Izuku eyed him strangely "Joker? Thief?"
Giran hummed "Oh that picked the interest, eh?"
Izuku nodded "Yeah! My mom isn't a thief."
"Well, she was. Before she got you, she stole millions and gave them to the needed." Giran scoffed "She never took a penny for herself, and regretted it once she got pregnant."
Izuku nodded "I... can you tell me more?"
Giran hummed "Sure, we have time. Maybe she sent you here to become the next one, eh. But I know that you will do better than just steal from the rich and give it away. The idea is to keep it, eh?"
And so, Giran told me everything about the Joker, a modern Robin Hood, which purpose was to help the ones who needed it the most. A charismatic figure, dressed in black, armed with a smirk and a knife, gambled her life to help the rest... That was the moment, I understood, why she sent me here.
"So, the clothes are on the house, but if you ever come back, I will charge you. As far as I am concerned, the floor I gave you is enough payment to Joker."
Izuku, dressed in a black trench coat, black pants, black leather shoes, a black tank top and a hat (A/N: Johnny's Hat idk how to call it.), nodded, tipped his hat and smirked.
"Understood."
I don't know for how long I will write this diary and I don't want to sound arrogant, but I will honor my mom being the new Joker.
Izuku Midoriya.
