[1216 Franklin Ave - The Loud House]

[3:30 p.m.]

About more than 2 hours have passed since Lincoln got the news that he would be attending another school on an island off the coast of Spain for a year. His parents tried to cheer him up by taking him to Flip's Food and Fuel to get him his favorite Flippy, but that only cheered him up a little.

Currently Lincoln was on a video call with his friends to break the news. He wanted to tell them in person, but he was so busy making the preparations to go to Naranja Academy, that video call was the best he could do.

Currently his best friend Clyde McBride was doing his best not to freak out on the bus.

"So you're leaving for a year... And you don't have a choice in this?"inquired Clyde, making sure he was hearing exactly what he was hearing.

"Yes, but I was told I'll be able to stay in constant communication with you. So it is not goodbye forever. It's only for a year."said Lincoln, hoping to cheer up his best friend from hyperventilating.

Clyde meanwhile I was doing his best not to freak out while breathing into a paper bag. Stella quickly took the phone from him and looked at Lincoln with concerned.

"I can't believe Principal Ramirez's cousin is making you do all of this. Just how much money did she offer the school to get to school board to get to agree to this?"Stella inquired, wondering how much money it took to get this kind of wheels in motion.

"... Let's just say it was past six figures."said Lincoln, amazing his friends when they heard how much money she was offering.

"Woah, she must be loaded! I wonder why Principal Ramirez never talks about her. I would be proud if I had a relative who was that rich. Heck, I probably do my best to be on their good side so I can get good birthday and Christmas presents."said Rusty, wondering why Principal Ramirez never talked about her cousin.

"Well she said their relationship is estranged at best... Plus I can sense jealousy coming from her, so that's probably why."said Lincoln, figuring that the principal of their middle school didn't want to brag about her much more successful cousin.

"It's going to be weird without you, that's for sure."said Liam, trying his best to maintain his composure for everyone else's sake.

"Still, maybe you'll have fun. And it's not like this is goodbye forever. We'll see you in a year."said Zach, trying to see the bright side of things.

"Well that's what I'm hoping for. I tried looking up information on this Naranja Academy but I got blocked... It's like the information on this Academy is restricted."said Lincoln, confusing his friends.

"And that doesn't concern you?"pointed out Stella.

"Well what choice do I have... It's already happening, even though I don't like it. I can't exactly go against everyone in the school...Lynn would especially be angry at me if one of her clubs got canceled because of me."said Lincoln, who did not want to feel a camel clutch from his older sister or possibly something worse.

"Well I'm going to talk to my dads about this. There has to be some way out of this."said Clyde, who did not want to say goodbye to his best friend.

"Clyde... This is as hard for you as it is hard for me, I can clearly see that. But this is the best thing for everyone. With the money Principal Ramirez's cousin is donating to the school, it could really help out everyone. Heck, maybe every one of our clubs, including the action News team will get new funding."pointed out Lincoln, hoping that information would make his friends feel better.

"Well... He does make a good point."pointed out Liam.

"Yeah, but it's still weird that information on Naranja Academy is on a need to know basis. What exactly is going on with that school."said Zach, feeling like some kind of conspiracy was up.

"Please don't tell me there's actually a secret organization trying to rule the world again like last time."pointed out Rusty, since last time Zach believed that, he was dragged in a wild goose chase all throughout Royal Woods.

"Noo... Maybe. Look, I'll do some investigating and see where it gets me."said Zach, before he began contacting his parents AKA his research sources.

Lincoln rolled his eyes at his friends antics. He was sure going to miss them for a year, that was for sure.

"So have you broke the news to your family yet?"inquired Clyde, wondering if any of Lincoln's sisters knew of this already.

"Only my mom and dad know. We're going to break the news to my sisters when they get home from school... Which should be any minute by now. Well, goodbye for now guys... I'll try to be in contact as much as possible."said Lincoln before hanging up the phone.

"I hope Clyde doesn't give Dr Lopez a hard time... Again..."Lincoln said to himself as he heard the sound of his sister is coming home from school.

One by one every one of his sisters a ride from there respective places of education. Lily arrived from her Private preschool. Lucy, Lola, Lana, and Lisa right from Royal Woods Elementary School. Lynn arrived from Royal Woods Middle School. And finally Leni, Luna, and Luan a ride from Royal Woods High School.

A moment later Lynn Sr arrived with Lori, who had been out doing some errands for herself.

"Hey Lori, why does Dad look so sad?"inquired Leni, wondering why her father was upset.

"I don't know. He just said that we're having a family meeting to break some news."said Lori, who looked confused.

This caused the rest of the loud sisters to be equally confused. Lincoln then took a deep breath as everyone sat down. A moment later he got up and faced them all with his parents.

"Well, there's no way to sugar coat this so I'm just going to say it. For a whole year Lincoln will not be here at the house."said Rita, causing a commotion from her daughters.

"What?"everyone else inquired, as they wondered was going on.

"Is this some kind of joke?"inquired Luan, wondering if there was some punchline coming.

"No... It's not a joke. The Royal Woods Independent School district made a deal with principal Ramirez's cousin to a study abroad program in exchange for a massive donation to the school district."said Lynn Sr, trying his best to remain composed.

"Huh?"the Loud sister said.

"Her name is Geeta Ramirez, and not only is she have a chairwoman of a school on an island off the coast of Spain... But she's also extremely wealthy. She's at least wealthy enough to donate over six figures of money to the Royal Woods Independent School district."said Lincoln, adding to what his parents were saying.

"This sounds weird... Almost ridiculous."said Leni, wondering if her parents and brother were being serious.

"For being one hundred percent serious right now, Leni. In exchange for the School district getting ample funding, we have agreed to send your brother abroad for a year."said Rita, trying her best to remain composed with her husband.

"Why would you literally agree to something like that?"inquired Lori, wondering what her parents were thinking.

"We didn't have much of a choice. We didn't want Lincoln to get bullied just because of budget cuts, so we reluctantly agreed to the decision."said Lynn Sr, justifying his and his wife's actions.

"Couldn't she have donated the money without taking Lincoln?"inquired Luna, wondering if that was possible.

"Principal Ramirez said her cousin is a very stubborn woman, who does anything she can to get her way. Guys, you know the people we go to school with... Do you honestly think they would have been happy with me if the schools suffered more budget cuts because I didn't agree to this."said Lincoln, to which his sister said nothing.

They knew exactly who their peers were, and they knew they wouldn't be happy with Lincoln or them if something happened to their clubs or activities. They could quickly understand the Lincoln was between a rock and a hard place, with either option not working out for him in some way.

"Bro... Are you honestly going to go through with this?"Luna inquired.

"What choice do I have, Luna. Principal Ramirez was possibly going to lose her job if I didn't agree to this, and I couldn't live with that on my conscience. Plus I can already imagine what certain people would do to me if their clubs or activities were cut because of my decision to stay. Trust me when I say it was not an easy decision to make. In fact, I'm still against this idea."said Lincoln, feeling like this was supposed to happen whether he liked it or not.

"Well perhaps there's a way to get out of this. I don't do things I don't like, even if people are against me."pointed out Lola.

"Lola, we're literally against the woman with more power than any of us have."pointed out Rita, reminding her daughter what it's like to go against the rich and powerful.

"Our mother unit is right... I just contacted my contacts on Geeta Ramirez... And they told me she's not a woman you want to mess with."said Lisa, who had contacted her contacts during the family meeting.

"Well we can't let our little brother go through this! We should protest!"said Leni, feeling like this was not right.

"Yeah! If we make enough noise, I'm sure the school district will overturn their decision."said Lana, feeling like it was possible to go against the system since she has done it before.

Someone by one they all began agreeing with one another, liking the idea. Even Lucy will seem to be overjoyed with this idea. All of that ended when Lincoln spoke up.

"And the angry students that will be mad at us for budget cuts?"inquired Lincoln, causing his sisters to look at him with shock.

"Lincoln... What are you saying?"required Lucy, wondering what Lincoln was doing.

"Even if we make enough noise there's no guarantee that the school district will turn over their decision. Plus that won't stop our fellow students from hating us... Either way we lose. Look, I don't like this at all, but it is better than the alternative. I know you guys care for me, but this is thing I have to do on my own. Plus it's only for a year. So I'm sure I'll be able to suck it up. Heck, maybe I'll make new friends along the way to keep me company in the meantime."said Lincoln, trying to see the bright side of things.

His sisters didn't know what to say to that. They've never seen Lincoln at so mature about some decision. Usually when he's against something he does everything in his power to go against it, but this time it was different. This time Lincoln was being more rational and calm... It was almost disturbing.

"Dude, you're awfully calm about this."pointed out Lynn.

"Well I've run every scenario I could think of and I couldn't come up with squat to get out of this... So I'm just going to suck it up and do it. Now I'm leaving for that island off the coast of Spain tomorrow, so let's spend my last day in Royal Woods for a year as a family. What are you guys say?"Lincoln inquired, hoping to spend family time with his family before he leaves for a year.

Lori, Leni, Luan, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lola, Lana, Lisa, and Lily looked at each other with concern looks. On one hand they wanted to fight for their brother and convince the school district to let him stay in Royal Woods, but on the other they knew the reality that would hit them in the face so they take this path. Even if they could go against the school district and their teachers, the students that they call friends and acquaintances are a different story. They wouldn't be understanding, no... They would blame them for losing something they cared about like and after school activity or their clubs.

They knew Lincoln's back was against the wall and Lincoln was making the right choice for everyone except him... It stank, but what choice did they really have.

"Lincoln, are you sure you want to go through with this?"inquired Lucy while approaching her brother.

Lincoln looked at Lucy with a sorrowful look.. He knew that despite everything, she was the most sensitive of his sisters. To this day he kept her secret about her loving ponies... Even though his sister sometimes ridicule him about it every now and again.

"Our sister unit is right... Are you sure you want to go through with this?"Lisa added, wanted to make sure Lincoln was completely sure about his next decision.

"...Yes. if it means my sister get a way better education, then so be it. Plus... Maybe it won't be so bad being abroad for a year. I may experience things I will never experience again in my lifetime."said Lincoln with a smile.

"Ohh!"said the Loud sisters before they gave their brother a big hug, glad that he was doing the right thing no matter how much they didn't like it or he didn't like it.

They knew this was the best decision for everyone.

"Let's go to Gus's Games and Grubs to commemorate your last day here... For a year."said Lori, with everyone else agreeing.

"Thanks... After everything I've been through today, some pizza will definitely make me feel way better."said Lincoln with a smile, feeling like everything was going to be okay.

With nothing more said everyone got into Vanzilla and quickly made their way to Lincoln's favorite spot in all the Royal Woods.

That night Lincoln was allowed to order all the garlic knots he wanted. The Loud family celebrated the whole ordeal my dining on pizza, playing video games, and earning some prizes.

Once they got home Lincoln began packing his stuff. He quickly stuffed his travel bags with extra clothes, underwear, some comic books he would want to take with him, bun bun, and anything else you can think of. At one point he wanted to take some snacks with him, but considering what a pain in the neck the TSA is when it comes to food... He decided not to. Ultimately Lincoln managed to go to sleep with a smile on his face despite everything that was happening to him at once.

He felt like with his family and his friends support from video call, he would make it through the next year at Naranja Academy in one piece!

That night he had a strange dream... Normally he would have a dream where he was Ace Savvy or David Steele, but on this night it was a different dream.

Lincoln was standing in what appeared to be a glorious city that was filled with culture and prestige. Everywhere he looked he saw people, including his friends and family cheering his name... That is when he saw someone approaching him.

He couldn't get a clear look at her face, but he could clearly tell she was female.

"Are you ready to battle with everything we have, Lincoln?"inquired the girl while holding a strange red and white ball.

The dream then shifted to some kind of courtyard at night. A moment later a girl wearing a hood that covered her face approached him.

"Thank you for coming, Lincoln... It is now time for you to take on the big boss of Team Star."said the hooded girl.

In the next moment the dream shifted again... This time Lincoln was standing in the cave with an older boy who he didn't recognize. Like the other two, he couldn't see his face.

"Thanks for everything, Lincoln. Because of you, my best buddy in the whole world is all right."said the older boy.

The dream then shifted again... This time Lincoln was standing on a barren wasteland he did not recognize. He looked around and saw a woman wearing a lab coat. Like the others, he did not recognize her face.

"Please stop me..."said the mysterious woman.

The dream then shifted again... This time Lincoln found himself standing in a land filled with crystals. He then saw a man with long white hair standing next to a white and grenn giant snake-like creature.

Just like the others, he couldn't see his face.

"So this is where it ends... Prepare yourself, Lincoln Loud!"shouted the older gentleman.

After that Lincoln woke up in a cold sweat... He began panting as he looked around and saw that he was still in his bedroom.

"What a strange dream."Lincoln said to himself before falling back asleep, but not before drinking a class of water he had next to him.

Little did he know that that was not so much a dream... But what was to come!

The only question is would he be ready for it!

There's only truly one way to find out!
