A/N Raizen, there are probably millions watching the Simpsons, but how many are going to think it's anything more than another wacky episode? Besides, the government is good at cover up stories so I don't think it really matters.

"Xander and Colonel O'Neill are in a cartoon? I'm dreaming, right? Weird dream, but still a dream." Dawn mumbled after they'd explained the situation to her. "But if they're really in a cartoon, than just get them to come back."

"We need you to bring them back, Sweetie. Colonel O'Neill's sick and Xander doesn't know it." Joyce told her.

"Oh, okay. There, all better. G'night." The very drowsy young girl muttered and pointed her hand at the tv set before closing her eyes and falling back asleep. Colonel O'Neill and Xander materialized out of a ripple in front of the assembled women.

"No," O'Neil groaned. "we just got to the power plant! How did we get back here?"

"Dawn brought you out, Colonel." Janet told him. "We're worried about the potential damage to your brain from the download, your brain was already far too active the last time I ran a scan on you."

"Your brain's really cooking?" Xander looked and was upset. "Why didn't you say it was that bad?"

"Would you? Especially if you had the chance to be part of the Simpsons for awhile."

"Personally I'd prefer Star Trek, but I get your point. Still, if I'd known I'd have been trying to figure out a way out of there and you know it! I told you I don't want to cross these women, what do you think they'd do to me if they thought I let you go off and get yourself killed on a whim?! We can always figure out how to go back when your life's not in danger."

"Hey, guys." Daniel wandered in. "I think I've managed to translate part of the phrase Jack was reading from the language on the floor of that room. We are the Ancients. Which reminded me of a belief the Romans had that they were taught to build roads by the Ancients, whom they regarded as gods. I'm making a leap here, but that device may have been created by the people who built the Stargates, it's a transportation system, kinda like roads."

You're just speculating though." Carter pointed out.

"Well, it would explain how Jack knows about Stargates the Goa'uld don't, the ones he added to the dialing computer, not to mention that math formula for calculating new coordinates."

"Janus is the god of roads, passageways, the in-between places, the beginning and the end." Xander offered. "The only true Roman god."

"The one you don't worship, but do respect." Daniel remembered him mentioning that before. "What if he was one of the Ancients, maybe even one that taught the Romans, although his worship is believed to be based on older gods."

"Huh, then he was the one who lent Ethan -. Nevermind, that's a discussion to have with Giles. What do we do about the Colonel and his cooking brain? What about that thing he was building out of Teal'c's staff weapon? Which reminds me, Colonel, you're going to have to give Teal'c a really good birthday present to make up for that." Xander informed him.

"Ego indeo navo locus." O'Neill stated.

"Um, ego - I?" Daniel tentatively translated.

"Indeo."

"Need?"

"Navo."

"New."

"Locus."

"Locus, locas. Locatia. Location. You need a new location? You need a new location!"

"He needs to go somewhere?" Xander asked. "Somewhere...where there's people who can help you? 'Cause it's obvious we're all outta our depth here."

O'Neill pointed at him.

"He seems to have lost the ability to speak English." Daniel decided. "What if the download's overwriting everything he already knew?"

"Like purging and reformating a hard drive." Major Carter was really concerned now. "He may never be able to get it back if his brain is damaged by the knowledge spooling into it." O'Neill moved toward the door of the infirmary and Xander, Carter and Daniel scrambled to follow him. He led the way back to Teal'c's space where the device he'd built was still sitting where he'd left it. He picked it up and the line of concerned ducklings followed him as he made his way to the power room, where he plugged the device into the generators.

"Maybe it's a power booster of some sort." Carter suggested. "It already takes an enormous amount of power to run the Stargate. Where could he need to go that requires more power?"

"Why do you use generators and a dialing computer anyway?" Xander asked. "The Stargate on the planet we portal to when we visit has it's own dialing device, why don't you have one?"

"Actually we do." Carter admitted. "It was found with the second 'gate. I'm not sure why it hasn't been brought here and hooked up to our 'gate. Something to bring up with General Hammond when the current crisis is over." She added as they followed O'Neill to the dialing computer.

"Colonel, what are you doing?" Hammond asked as O'Neill typed in coordinates.

"He's going to someone who can stop his brain from cooking, Sir." Xander told him. "Permission to go with him? He should have a guard in case he ends up in more trouble."

"Son, the risk -."

"Is my choice to accept, Sir." Xander said firmly, meeting the General's eyes. After a moment, he nodded.

"How much more unconventional can my Command get? Bring him home."

"Yes, Sir "
