The Super Robot flies around the desert as Hyper Force searches Mandarin and Valeena after they got away with crystal skull.
"Any sign of Mandarin or Valeena yet, Gibson?" Chiro asked.
"Negative." He said. "Scans only reveal local fauna. I'll calibrate for more humanoid life sign."
"So, what do you think they have planned for Skeleton King's skull?" Nova wondered.
"I fear the skull hold a power that could devastate this planet." Antauri assumed. "We must find it and destroy it forever."
Suddenly, the scans is beeping, alerting them.
"I'm picking up a human bio-sign." Otto said, looking at the scanner. "It's coming from underground."
"You think it's them?" Tyran asked.
"Yeah, it's got to be Valeena." Chiro said. "Get ready for action, team!"
The Robot headed to the crevasse and landed there as they detect the human life signatures down in the underground. It opens the hatch and the Hyper Force flew down the crevasse.
"Are you picking up anything on that gizmo of yours, Gibson?" Sparx asked.
"I'm receiving very faint human life readings from…" Gibson look up to see a person in the suit with cape, mounted on the wall. "From over there."
"Who is that person?" Tyran said.
"Is he alive?" Otto asked.
"That's impossible, Otto." Nova said, "Just look at him."
"No, I sense he's in some kind of deep hibernation." Antauri said "Perhaps for many years."
"But how can someone like him sleep for very long time?" Tyran wondered.
"Wait a minute." Chiro then walked to the body and brushing off the cobweb and ses the helmet that resembles their emblem. "Why is he wearing our Hyper Force emblem?"
The Hyper Force was left speechless, wondering who is this person and why is he wearing the helmet that resembles their emblem? How long he's been sleeping in the cave?

"While exploring the outskirts of the city, I discovered an abandoned Super Robot. It was then my life was transformed by the mysterious Power Primate. After they found the stranger, they brought this strange person to the med lab as they examine him.
"So, why is this guy wearing our emblem on his head?" Chiro asked.
"It's a mystery to all of us, Chiro." Nova said.
"I wonder what's he doing in the cave." Tyran wondered.
"Interesting." Gibson said, "Our friend seems to be in some kind of stasis."
"He's in hibernation!" Otto said while he examine the weapon that the person has with him. "I think he was hit by this old-fashioned sleep cannon. Let's see, uh, if I reverse the polarity, this just might…"
When Otto turns the nut, the sleep cannon suddenly fire, it bounced off the wall, then the ceiling, and to the person, making everyone back a bit.
When it dies down, the person is lifting his hand up.
"Hey, it's working!" Nova said.
"Use caution, team." Antauri said.
They all regroup as they armed their weapons if the stranger tries anything as he get up from the table. He then approaches them while being crippled after asleep for long time.
"Stay back!" Sparx said, pointing his magnet at him. "I'm warning you!"
"What's going on out there?!" He said, hoarsely.
The stranger opened his helmet, revealing to be an old man with long white beard.
"Where am I?" He asked, "What's going on here?"
He then looked at the reflection of the machine, shocked that he's an old man.
"I.. I can't be.. No! This has to a trick!" He gasped that he's old. "It's impossible! I'm old!"
He then walked off a bit while the Hyper Force looks at him, bewildered.
"Hugh… Hugh… I'm OLD!" He shouted in distress before coughing his spit on Sparx.
"Will you quit coughing on me?!" Sparx said before retracting his magnet. "Relax, old timer. Have a seat."
He sat the old man down on the table.
"This can't be happening!" He said, "I was young just a few minutes ago."
"Not minutes. Years." Gibson explained. "You were in a state of stasis like sleep for a very long time, my friend."
"Do you remember who you are?" Chiro asked.
"They call me, Captain Shuggazoom, defender of the city!" He introduced.
"Captain Shugga-who?" Antauri said, perplexed.
"Shugga-what?" Otto said.
"You were named after the city, captain?" Tyran said.
Capt. Shuggazoom then takes a look at the monkey team and Tyran.
"Oh I remember you." He said, recognized them. "You monkeys look a little different. And you cyborg, I'm surprised you awoke after the accident you had. In fact, you and the monkeys belong to the Alchemist, don't you?"
"What?" Tyran gasped at the familiar name.
"You knew the Alchemist?" Otto beamed.
"Of course, he's my best friend." Capt. Shuggazoom said before explaining his backstory. "In fact, this all started when one of his inventions was stolen by my old arch-enemy, Dr. Malicious."
(Flashback)
A long time ago, Capt. Shuggazoom flew above the city and sees his arch-enemy, Dr. Malicious has stolen the magnet blaster.
"Dr. Malicious, relinquish the Magna-Bolt Blazer and I'll go easy on your cybernetic skull!" Capt. Shuggazoom demanded.
"Of course, I'll relinquish it, captain! On power lever ten!" Dr. Malicious then blast the magnet at him, causing it to attract the metals and crushing him. "And now my dear nemesis, I bid you…"
He crossed his throat, the metal crushed ball glows, brightly and Capt. Shuggazoom freed himself.
"Impossible!" He said, covering his face before using his hover glider to fire at him.
Capt. Shuggazoom laughed as he evade the incoming shot.
"Plasma Disk again? Why don't you just throw milk carton, cyborg?" He joked.
Dr. Malicious then uses the Magna-Bolt Blazer on the vehicle at the bottom with innocent lady inside.
"Make your decision, captain!" He said, "You only have time to stop one of us!"
He then dropped the car as the driver screamed before flying away.
"Help me!" She shrieked as Capt. Shuggazoom flew down and saves her before she hits the ground and gently puts them down on the ground and everyone applauded him.
"Do you mind if I borrow your vehicle, ma'am?" Capt. Shuggazoom asked.
"Oh, of course, captain!" She said, blushing.
Capt. Shuggazoom then took the car and flew back up to sky and threw it at Dr. Malicious, crashing his hover glider and sent him falling down, but Capt. Shuggazoom catch him and the Magna-Bolt Blazer.
"Thanks, I have a friend who is missing one of these things." He said before flying away with him.
After taking Dr. Malicious to the prison, Capt. Shuggazoom flew to visit his old friend as he sees the Super Robot and walked through the lab with the stolen invention and pressed his hand on the scanner
"After Malicious to jail, I paid a visit to our old friend, the Alchemist."
At the lab, the Alchemist was working on Silver Monkey as the blue monkey or Gibson went to him and gave him the computer chip.
"Why thank you, Gibson." He said, took the chip. "You certainly are a smart little Simeon to say the least."
The Alchemist patted his head and Gibson hooted before jumping off to play his tail.
The green monkey or Otto was fooling around with tools as he was next to the body under the sheet.
The black monkey or Antauri was on the machine, meditating while red monkey or Sparx is playing her tail, making the yellow monkey or Nova screeched at him, angrily.
"Sparx! Nova, no fighting!" He said.
As they screeched, the orange monkey or Mandarin snarled at them, making them frightened by his anger.
"Easy, Mandarin." The Alchemist eased them while patting his head. "I want everyone to get along as a team with your new friend. No picking on each other."
"Speaking of teams, How's my new Silver Monkey and a cyborg coming along?" Alchemist turns to see Capt. Shuggazoom. "Huh, I need all the help I can get to defending the city."
Capt. Shuggazoom opened his helmet, revealing a young man.
"Capt. Shuggazoom, you've retrieved the Magna-Bolt Blazer!" He said, glad to see him.
"Have I ever let you down?" He said, given him the invention.
"Unfortunately, your silver monkey was far from ready, my old friend." Alchemist said, putting the Magna-Bolt Blazer with the others before going to the body. "As for Tyran, he's in progress of comatose as I'm reconfiguring his body. But now, we have more urgent matters to attend to."
The floor opened and the machine rises from it before it turns on the portal.
"This portal peers into the soul of evil itself." Alchemist explained, "The Netherworld."
As they look at the portal, they see the demons, swarming over the portal.
"What are those nightmarish things?" Capt. Shuggazoom asked while monkeys are frightened by the demons.
"They are what the Verron mystics call, the Dark Ones." He said. "They were imprisoned but now, their evil grows out of control. This portal allows us to monitor their forces directly."
"I don't know. Seems too dangerous. How do you know they can't break through?"
"Not to worry, captain. We're safe. That grid is utterly impenetrable!"
Capt. Shuggazoom's commlink beeps, alerting him
"Well, I hate to spoil all the fun but the city needs me." He said before leaving.
"Good luck to you, my friend!" He shouted.
After he left, Mandarin was staring at the portal.
"Come away from the gate, Mandarin." Alchemist told it. "I'm going to shut it down."
The orange monkey ignored him and hops on the protection grid. He looked at the demon and sniffed at it before going monkey on the demon as he stamped on the protection grid.
"No! What have you done?!" He yelled as the grid is malfunctioning. "The containment grid!"
The portal was accidently opened, allowing a demon to enter the world and escapes through the lab.
"What have I unleashed!?"
Before he shuts down the portal, a giant demon's hand emerged from the portal and grabbed him, making him screamed in agony as they are corrupting him.
(Flashback end)
"Next time I saw the Alchemist, he was no longer the same man." He finished.
"So that's how it happened." Sparx realized. "That's how the Alchemist turned into—"
"Quiet, Sparx!" Chiro covered his mouth before looking at him. "Keep going, Capt. Shuggazoom. I want to hear the rest of them."
"Very well." He said before continued the story. "Later that night, I was off-duty…"
(Flashback)
At nighttime in his mansion, Capt. Shuggazoom has a date with the lady as he is off-duty.
"Completely unaware of the danger, posing as millionaire playboy industrial, Clayton Carrington."
"I'm sure you've heard of this before, darling." He said, before raising his glass. "You have the most beautiful eye stalks I've ever seen. And I've seen some eye stalks."
The lady giggled, snortly at his jokes before raising her glass with long tongues while popping her eye stalks.
"How many tongues did you say you have again?"
Suddenly, the light signal appeared on night skies, meaning the duty calls to him as he noticed.
"Sorry to leave so soon, my dear but I, uh, left my wallet at the massage parlor." He said as the wall moved and took the elevator up, much to her disappointment.
At the city, the large red winged demon is flying over the city and swoops down to attack, making all the citizens flee in panic and fires its energy beam from its mouth, destroying the city.
"For your information, defacing public property is a serious offense in this town!" The demon turns to see Capt. Shuggazoom. "I'll bet you're another creation of my old enemy, Master Mongroid."
The demon shot its energy beam at Capt. Shuggazoom, knocking him against the building. He then recovers from an attack.
"My turn! Mega Lightning Lance!" Capt. Shuggazoom threw his lightning beam at the demon.
The winged demon swatted him against the rough the tower.
"Huh, tougher than I expected." He said, recovering before flying towards the demon.
As he flew, Capt. Shuggazoom threw his rapid punches at it before punching its face while the townspeople watches the fight. He energized his fists and throws a Mega Punch at it, knocking him to the ground.
But the demon recovers and fires a Horn Laser at Capt. Shuggazoom, trapping him before shooting up the sky, creating a portal to the Netherworld. Capt. Shuggazoom uses his strength to break free.
"No! It can't be!" He said before flying behind the demon and whistled it, getting its attention. "Hey, handsome! Over here!"
The demon turned to him as Capt. Shuggazoom is preparing to attack.
"Blazing Bio-Electric Blast!" He sent his energy beam at the demon's head from his body, causing it to close the portal.
Infuriated by mere human, the winged red demon then chases after Capt. Shuggazoom.
He laughed. "That's right, cat face ape! Keep following!"
While Capt. Shuggazoom was only leading the demon away from the city, he leads it in the cave as the demon tries fires its Energy Beam at him but he was too quick and burst out of wall and flies away with the demon stuck in the cave.
At the lab, the Alchemist is working on the Mega Fist with Nova perched on him.
"That's for you, dear Nova." He said, hoarsely before moving on to Tyran. "Soon you'll be up in no time, my boy."
He then heard the door opened and saw Capt. Shuggazoom.
"What's wrong, Antauri?" He said as Antauri climbs on him. "Where's the Alchemist?"
Antauri was frightened as it pointed at him.
"I'm here, my friend." He said as he shows himself in shriveled state he's in.
"What.. happened to you?" He asked while disturbed by his weaken state.
"You were right. The portal isn't safe. One of the Dark Ones broke free."
"That thing came from your machine? It nearly destroyed half of the city!"
"The Dark Ones… They did something to me." He said, hoarsely. "They reached through the gate, changed me. I don't have much time left."
"Rest for minute. You look like you're about to fall over."
"Don't you see? This could mean the end of all creation! There's no time to rest!"
"Look, the city needs me." Capt. Shuggazoom took the sleep cannon. "I have to go but I promise I'll be right back!"
He closed his helmet and ran off to save the city as they watched him go.
"I certainly hope so, captain." Alchemist said, straining. "At least, to say good-bye."
His hand is turning as the corruption of Dark One is taking over his soul.
After the promises he makes, Capt. Shuggazoom flew back to the demon, who still looking for him until it spotted him.
"Let's start round two with a quick nap!" He takes aim at the demon and fires it, but the demon counters it with Eye Beams, overpowering it. "I knew it couldn't be that easy!"
He then flew around while the demon is trying to fire and hits him, making him drop the sleep cannon.
"Oh no!" Capt. Shuggazoom swoops down and catch the sleep cannon on time before it hits the ground. "Go to sleep!"
He fires at the demon, but it counters it again. Capt. Shuggazoom then looked at the mountain.
"Spinning Ring!" He threw an energy ring at the mountain, causing an avalanche to bury it in the rubble. "That's right, come on out! I got something for you."
He waited for the demon to come out but it didn't.
"Maybe it's finally—" He was cut in when the demon burst out of rubble and caught him.
Capt. Shuggazoom fires the sleep cannon as the demon fires his Horn Laser, their attacks created a stalemate.
"No!" He yelled as he was caught in the blast too close before they both fall in the crevasses as they were in deep stasis.
(Flashback ends)
"And that's the last thing I remember." Capt. Shuggazoom finished. "I assume the dimensional portal disappeared because the world lives on."
"So you never seen the Alchemist again?" Chiro questioned.
"That's right. How is he after all these years?"
The group glanced each other as Capt. Shuggazoom was unaware that the Alchemist was turned into Skeleton King and they have to destroyed him before telling him the truth.
"My friend, the Alchemist is no longer as you knew him." Antauri said, truthfully. "The Dark Ones have corrupted his soul completely."
"It's not.. possible!" Capt. Shuggazoom gasped.
"That's why built us.. to protect the universe from his own evil." Nova realized.
"And why he erase our memories of him so that we couldn't bring ourselves to defeat him." Tyran said.
"I can't believe it! I just- It's my fault! It's all my fault! I should have never left him!" Capt. Shuggazoom grieved that it was his fault for leaving him before accidently put to sleep for a long time.
"We're sorry, captain. I mean he's not the same man we know and not him anymore."
"You can't blame yourself, captain." Chiro said, "You had to save the city."
Suddenly, the felt the ground shakes in tremor.
"What was that?" Sparx said.
"It felt like a-" Gibson said before realizing. "Oh no! Captain, you said the demon beast was buried with you, correct?"
"Oh, yes. But I.." he said.
"Otto, what range does the anti-sleep setting have?"
Otto went to check the Sleep Cannon.
"Uh, a one-mile radius." He said.
"Uh oh!" Tyran gulped.
"Then that would mean…" Chiro said.
"It's waking up the demon beast!" Antauri finished,
"Shut it down, Otto! Now!" Novaa shouted.
Otto quickly turns off the Sleep Cannon.
"Phew!" He sighed. "That was a close call."
He was wrong when they heard a demon beast's roar.
"Otto!" Nova shouted.
The demon beast burst out the rubble after being put to stasis for long time and flew out the crevasse. It then breathed its Energy Beam at the Robot, knocking it and everyone down. The demon then flew to Shuggazoom city before everyone got up from the hit as Otto has his head the wrong way.
"Uh, here wrong something is." He said, backward before turning his head around.
"Capt. Shuggazoom! Are you all right?" Chiro asked, concerned.
"Not as invulnerable as I used to be." Capt. Shuggazoom said before Chiro helps him up.
"Hurry, team! Let's activate the Super Robot!" Antauri issued.
At the city, the red winged demon beast flew over and breathed its Energy Beam at the building before knocking it down, making everyone panicked.
"Whoa! Uh, Hyper Force, go!" Capt. Shuggazoom declared as he was hanging on the Robot's antennae while flying over to the city.
"Let's send this demon beast back to sleep!" Chiro said.
The demon beast broke the billboard and throws it at the Robot, who catches it with tractor beam and puts it down on the ground. As the demon beast was distracted, Capt. Shuggazoom is aiming it with Sleep Cannon.
"How did this stupid thing work again?" He mumbled before the Demon beast spotted him and swatted him away.
The Super Robot launches in the air and fires Mega Missiles, hitting the demon. However, the demon appears to be unharmed.
"That's impossible!" Nova gasped. "How is that thing still standing?"
The Robot then charges and punched the demon beast in the face. The demon then grabbed both of its fists.
"Antauri, you know what to do." Chiro said.
The Robot headbutted the demon's head, making reeling in pain. The Robot jumped up and stretch its leg for kick, knocking some teeth out.
"Ha! And I thought this was going to be a real fight!" Sparx exclaimed.
The Demon beast got up and charges his Horn Laser.
"Uh oh, his horns is lighting up!" Otto said.
"Deploying countermeasure!" Gibson activates the Eye Beam and fires it.
Both of their attacks is in stalemate as the demon's attack is starting to overwhelming them.
"Power is fading quickly!"
"It's too strong!" Tyran said.
"We can't hold out!" Chiro said before the blast knocked them against the building.
Capt. Shuggazoom then crawls out of the rubble after getting hit by a demon beast.
"I think I need dentures. And I…" He said before he sees the Robot is down. "OH NO!"
The Demon Best shot his Horn Laser to the sky, creating a portal to the Netherworld.
"I failed the Alchemist; I won't fail the Hyper Force!" He then takes flight towards the demon.
"No, Capt. Shuggazoom!" Chiro groaned. "Come on, team! We got to help!"
"We can't, Chiro!" Tyran said, trying to move the Robot.
"Server motors are down!" Otto said, "We can't move!"
The citizens of Shuggazoom screamed as they saw the portal is opening.
"Look at that!"
"What is that!?"
"It happening again! The end of the world!"
The portal is leaking with ooze as it falls and spreads all over the streets. Capt. Shuggazoom dodged its swipe.
"Mega Lightning Lance!" He tried using his power, but it was weak due to being under hibernation while the demon snickering at him. "I must be low on vitamin C or something."
"Great, he might as well try tickling that thing!" Sparx said, sarcastically.
The demon then grabbed Capt. Shuggazoom in it claw as he strggles to get out while the city is being overrun by ooze.
"One last chance!" he then aimed the Sleep Cannon at it face, but it didn't work as he pulls the trigger before the demon beast puts him in its mouth.
Thinking that he is eaten, Capt. Shuggazoom then pulls the trigger and fires at the inside the mouth as it started to fall asleep and spits him out before falling down.
"Uh oh! Head's up, team!" Nova yelped as the demon is falling towards them.
"Lazertron Fury!" Chiro pressed the button.
The Robot fires the Lazertron Fury, hitting the demon beast as it sent flying towards the portal, causing it to backfire. The ooze was being pulled back to the Netherworld, along with the demon beast as Capt. Shuggazoom watches them before it disappears.
The citizen cheered that the portal is gone.
"We did it! We did it!" Capt. Shuggazoom cheered before laughing and coughing.
At sundown, the Hyper Force meets up with Capt. Shuggazoom after the demon beast was sent back to Netherworld.
"You saved the city again, Capt. Shuggazoom." Chiro said, "Just like back in the old days."
"Well, it wasn't just me, Chiro." He said, "It was all of us. Some teamwork, eh?"
"I got to admit, I'm impressed." Sparx smiled.
"So what are you going to do now, captain?" Nova asked.
"Oh I'm going back to the Alchemist laboratory." Capt. Shuggazoom said, "See I'm going to find out what happened to him in his final days."
"My friend. You may not like what you find." Gibson said.
"I know, Gibson. But it's something I have to do for my own peace of mind."
"Good luck to you, Capt. Shuggazoom." Antauri said.
"Until we meet again!" He snapped his helmet closed and took off flying.
The Hyper Force then watches him go at the horizon.
