Panic.

The air rang with it as civilians ran away from whatever was causing the destruction in the distance. Endeavor charged past the running people as he looked up into the sky. "What the hell is going on now?!" He yelled out in frustration, clicking on the earpiece he was wearing. "Calling all pros in Hosu, anyone listening to this broadcast. This is Endeavor coming from the southwest. What's the situation?!"

"Endeavor, get over here now!" A panicked voice screamed out on the other side. "These things came out of nowhere! I don't know what they-

The voice on the mic was cut off by a sickening screech and the static of his mic failing. "Shit, what a damn pain!" Endeavor sneered out before turning back to the two behind him. "Both of you stay close and watch. You will be able to watch what a real pro can do now!"

Katara glanced over to Shoto as they ran after his father, noticing he had on a similar scowl she had as well. "Is he treating this like a show?" She asked him.

"He can't help but bask in whatever praise can come his way." He grunted out.

Katara rolled her eyes in annoyance to that, seeing that Endeavor couldn't help but try to make this about himself once again. Suddenly she felt her phone vibrating, but it was different than normal as it didn't stop. She glanced over to Shoto and noticed he stopped running and pulled his phone out at that same time. "Wait… did we both…"

She reached into her pocket and pulled her phone out as well, the message coming from Midoriya. What confused her, though, was that it looked to be a map with a blinking dot between two different shapes. "What is this-

"Midoriya?" Shoto muttered out, his eyes growing wide in surprise. "He sent his location… and it's right next to us…"

"What?" Katara questioned him. "You got something from him too?"

"Hey!" Endeavor glared at the two stopping. "You're supposed to be watching me!"

Shoto ignored his father and turned back the other way, signaling Katara to follow him. "Come on, let's go!"

"I uh…" Katara was confused but quickly followed him even as Endeavor yelled after them.

"Shoto! Get back here! And you too, girl!"

"I'll let you handle this here, but there's a situation three blocks over. When you are done, send aid to this location I am sending you." Shoto yelled back to his father as he and Katara took off, leaving the flame hero confused as well.

"Wait, Todoroki, what's going on?" Katara asked as she ran with him. "What did Midoriya send-

Shoto finished forwarding the information before putting his phone away. "That was his location just around the corner from here. He is in the city as well."

"What?" Katara's eyes widened in worry. "Is he in trouble?"

"He only sent his location." Shoto's eyes narrowed as they passed another intersection. "I may not know Midoriya as well as you, but when has he ever been vague about anything?"

While it seemed like a stretch, Katara couldn't help but feel the same thing. Midoriya never left details out of anything, let alone something important. If what he was sending was simple like this, there must be something more to the story. She stayed silent as they rounded another corner and found themselves entering a dark alleyway. She felt a shiver up her spine as she still ran forward, her hand instinctively gripping her canteen. She then flashed a glance to her gauntlets, scolding herself for forgetting to add water to those extra compartments she had before coming out here.

"So stupid of me," She scolded herself as they rounded another corner. "I have the chance to-

Her words fell from her tongue as her heart felt like stopping at that moment. Her eyes stared down the alley, seeing something she had hoped to not happen ever since she left that train station. "No…"

Her hand stripped the cap off her canteen, unable to bend her water out fast enough as the rage grew inside her stomach, along with the fear rising in her heart.

"GET AWAY FROM HIM!"

Ten Minutes Earlier

Chaos erupted in Hosu as explosions rocked the city. Screams rang in the air as terrified citizens fled the destruction. Both Manual and Tenya froze on the spot when they saw another fire erupt behind a nearby street, all the other heroes around the area in confusion to what was happening.

"What the hell is going on?!" Manual yelled in shock. He waved his intern to come after him. "Let's go, we have to see what has happened!"

Tenya looked up into the sky to the large plume of smoke and flames that rose above the buildings, his heart beating like crazy in his chest. Even as Manual called for him to follow, he barely heard as his mind was spinning trying to figure out what was going on.

'Is… is this him?' He whispered internally as he ran after the hero. 'No… the hero killer is a stealth fighter. He wouldn't cause such an act and draw others around to find him. Something else has caused this attack.'

The troubled teen couldn't shake the feeling, though, that something bigger was happening. His eyes barely looked to the hero in front of him, his gaze shifting all around himself. But when he passed a darkened alleyway, his heart felt like it stopped beating in his chest. His feet froze on the spot as he looked down the corridor, catching the glimpse of something disappearing into the shadows.

"Was… that was…"

Tenya was beyond thinking rationally at this point. His mind blocked out all other thoughts as he stared into the lonely alleyway, unable to remove his gaze. He wasn't even sure if what he saw was real, but he didn't care, even if the hero in front turned and saw him run into the alley alone, for he would complete the task he came here for.

He would be the one to find and bring down the hero killer.

Eight Minutes earlier

Once he was able to get off the train, Midoriya sprinted down the road straight towards the fires. His heart pounded in his chest, unable to get over the fact he saw another nomu. "What's going on? Why is there a nomu here?!" He yelled to himself as he weaved through the fleeing crowds. His mind then replayed the USJ event in his head, thinking back to how close him and his friends were to dying from just one of those things.

But even though he was scared, he kept running towards the chaos. He had to see if anyone needed help.

Another loud crash rang through the air as Midoriya came closer, rounding the corner and coming upon the ongoing battle. Multiple heroes were fighting back not only the growing fires, but two different figures in the intersection. His eyes widened in shock as he saw a large dark figure coming through the fire, the nomu's bluish body similar to the one that attacked the USJ. But what shocked him even more was the one flying above.

"There's multiple nomus here? What the heck is going on?!" Midoriya gasped in shock as one of the heroes rushed and tried to tackle the larger nomu down, only for the pro to be thrown back like a rag doll. Several others were trying to strike the smaller and flying nomu with range attacks, but its speed was too much for them to hit. Suddenly one of the chunks of debris came flying his direction, the teen panicking before another hero jumped and pushed him out of the way.

"What are you doing here, kid!? Get back from here!" The female hero scolded him.

"S-Sorry! I will!" Midoriya quickly got back to his feet as the woman went back to distracting the creature for another hero to attack. The shaken teen watched in shock as the multiple number of heroes here could only hold the creatures back, none of their abilities strong enough to stop them.

"Iida! Damn it… where the hell did he go?!"

The shout from the side caught Midoriya's attention, looking over and seeing a hero in blue extinguishing flames with his water quirk. He stared at the man for a moment before he realized who it was. "Wait, the water hero Manual. That's who Iida went and served under. But he isn't here and-

Midoriya's mouth fell open in horror when it came into his mind. Why he never thought of it before completely baffled him, feeling his blood run cold in realization. "Wait… We are in Hosu, where Iida's brother was brought down… by the hero killer. Iida, don't tell me…!"

Spinning around, Midoriya sprinted down the road as fast as he could, praying he could find his friend before it was too late.

Two Minutes Earlier

Deep in the alleyway out of view from the streets, Stain looked up to the large clouds of smoke and fire rising in the distance from him. The assassin gritted his teeth in annoyance to the sudden ruckus that had fallen over the city.

"Damn that Shigaraki. He went through this trouble just because he had his feelings hurt. I'll have to dispose of those fools later. For now, though…" His gaze drifted back to the hero he had pinned to the wall by his head, the native American dressed man bleeding from his arm. "… you will be the next fake I cleanse from this world."

The hero Native felt his entire body locked in place, his eyes trembling as he watched the sword being lifted into the air. Even so, the pinned man glared through to the hero killer. "Y-you won't get away with this. You'll be dead!"

Hissing to what he heard, Stain squeezed the hilt of his blade tighter. "If you call yourself a hero, you should choose your last words carefully."

Then, a sudden burst of sound echoed in the alley, the hero killer swinging his sword backwards to the figure trying to sneak attack him from behind. His blade connected hard into metal and causing the incoming figure to fall back. Stain glanced down to the newcomer in white armor, the figure's helmet fallen off and revealing to his surprise a young blue haired teen. "A kid?"

Crawling back up, Tenya's eyes locked onto the figure in front of him. He took in the ragged clothes over him, the blood colored rags, and the dozens of blades littered across his body. He knew for certain this was the man; he found him.

"It's you…" Tenya hissed out, his brow furrowing in anger.

Stain eyed the boy curiously, noticing the glare he was receiving before scoffing. "This is no place for kids to play dress up. Go on home now."

"I have been looking for you. You're the hero killer, aren't you…" Tenya's teeth clenched together as he crawled back to his feet. "I have been waiting to finally come face to face with-

His words were stifled by the sword pointed right at his face, the hero killer narrowing his eyes at the teen. "Your eyes are filled with vengeance. I would watch the words you say, even a child can become my target."

"Your target…" Tenya's fists clenched as those images flashed back into his mind. "You attacked my brother here in this city. And now, I am here to bring you down. I am the one continuing my brother's name. I am Ingenium, and I will defeat you!"

"Is that so…" Stain sighed in disappointment to what he heard. "In that case… Die."

Tenya yelled out in fury as he tried to burst off the ground, but his eyes went wide as the hero killer moved in unreal speed and knocked his leg back to the ground before leaping into the air above him.

"You are Ingenium's brother, I see…" Stain chuckled out in amusement. "I should have guessed by your matching costumes."

In the blink of an eye, Stain's spike-lined boot slammed into Tenya's shoulder. Iida gasped out in pain from the steel piercing his armor and laying him out flat on his back. He tried to flip around and crawl back up, but a heavy foot slammed hard into his back, pressing him flat to the concrete. Stain simply sighed in amusement to the youngster's attempt to get back up.

"I let your brother live so that he could pass on the message. Any of the impostors that walk these streets can be my next target, even one as famous as him. And I look at you now," Stain pointed the sword down towards the teen. "You are weak… just like your brother."

Tenya screamed out in pain as the sword was buried into his shoulder, piercing all the way through and to the ground below. He trembled from the searing sensation, but his glare never left his face. "My brother was an amazing man. He helped so many people, and you paralyzed him! He can never walk again! I'LL KILL YOU FOR THAT!"

"You are blinded by your anger, kid. You came all the way here to make yourself feel better, is that it? Coming after me for a personal grudge is as far away from a hero as I can tell." Stain scolded him as if he were a teacher, shifting the sword and causing Tenya to yell out. "You are nothing more than a poser in a costume."

Tears of pain and hatred fell from Tenya's eyes as he laid there, his teeth clenched so hard he almost felt them crack. "You have no right to judge me…. You are a criminal, and I will be the one to defeat you!"

"Shouldn't you be worried about saving that guy?" Stain snickered as he looked to the hero laying still against the wall. "You call yourself a hero, and yet someone is right in front of you and you didn't see him. Your anger has blinded you from what a true hero would have wanted to do."

Stain ripped the sword out from his captive's shoulder and brought it to his face. "And now it is clear you have no purpose in this world." Smiling, he flicked his tongue out and licked the blood on the blade.

Instantly, a powerful sensation fell over Tenya's body, every muscle in his body locking up. "I- can't move…" he stuttered out as the hero killer stepped off his back.

Against the wall, Native could only watch in despair as the teen who came was now on the ground as the hero killer raised his sword once again. "No, please not him! He's only a kid!" he pleaded.

Stain ignored the cries as he pointed the sword at his victim. "Goodbye child. Let your blood be another cleansing to this world of fakes."

"Say what you want, but that doesn't change what you are!" Tenya's screamed out. "You're still a just a killer! A criminal who hurt my brother!"

Stain was ready to end the child on the ground, but the sudden flash of green caught his attention. He looked up, but was caught off-guard by the fist colliding into the side of his face and sending him back.

Tenya's mouth fell open in shock when the new figure landed in front of him, the green hair and outfit making his eyes go wide.

"M-Midoriya?"

It was his friend, but the flashes of green electricity around his body was something he had never seen before. What was this power?

"Don't worry Iida, I'm here to save you!" Midoriya called out as he stood between his friend and the killer. "I searched the alleys away from the fighting, since all of the hero killer's victims were found in isolated areas."

"Midoriya… I … can't move! He licked my blood and now I can't get up!" Iida grunted out, causing Midoriya's eyes to go wide.

"What?" he looked back to the assassin staring him down. "I heard about things like that from the other heroes that faced him. It must be his quirk."

Stain hissed out in annoyance and rubbed the cheek he got hit on, surprised by the strength this kid had. He then raised an eyebrow when he recognized the new teenager as the one from Shigaraki's photo. "So, you are from UA, kid…" Stain called out as he stepped forward. "You came to save your friend, but you should get out of the way. The weak in this world must be culled."

Midoriya's neck shivered from the cold gaze coming from this man. He swallowed the lump in his throat and kept his body facing forward to hide the phone behind his back, clicking the send button below. He could only hope that someone saw his message and could get help soon.

"I can't move, because I can't let my friend get hurt!" Midoriya declared and slipped the phone back into his pocket. He then noticed the other hero slumped against the wall to the side. 'There's someone else? Shoot… if it were just Iida, I might be able to escape, but I can't carry both of them. I just have to hold out long enough before help arrives.'

"Midoriya, get out of here…" Tenya clenched his teeth in anger. "This is my battle. It has nothing to do with you!"

Hearing that brought a glare to Midoriya's face, clenching his fists and bringing them up. "Your battle? Is that what you think this is? If that is your mind set, then why did you become a hero? Meddling when no one else will, that is the essence of being a hero!"

The scowl on Stain's face faltered to the words just spoken, his eyes widening in surprise. He eyed the boy curiously, sensing that wasn't just talk, but what this kid really felt. He couldn't help but grin in excitement.

He may have found someone interesting.

Stain pulled out a knife from his side and brought both of his weapons forward. "Alright kid, let's see what you can do!"

Midoriya burst forward straight towards the hero killer, the teen watching the sword raising up to strike. He quickly kicked off the ground, landed against the side wall and launched forward, ducking just underneath the blade as it grazed a few of his hairs. Once he was behind his foe, Midoriya swung a right cross into Stain's shoulder and send him against the wall. "Don't give him a chance to slash!" Midoriya yelled to himself and launched forward again.

Stain grunted out and leaped off the wall just as Midoriya's fist slammed into the bricks. The assassin quickly flipped around and swung his sword towards the teen… but his eyes widened in surprise when his sword struck brick. "What?"

"Smash!"

Iida's mouth fell open in shock as Midoriya's fist collided with the top of Stain's head and sent the hero killer to his knees. The speed he was witnessing, the movements. It was nothing like he had seen before from Midoriya before.

While he did land his attack, Midoriya gasped in shock when the knife swung up towards his stomach, barely able to twist his body midair to evade it in time as it tore through his shirt. He charged his fist to strike down again, but Stain quickly leaped out of the way as his fist struck the ground.

'Shoot. I can only use five percent of one for all now… it wasn't enough to bring him down!' Midoriya screamed internally.

Stain didn't look up as he smiled, bringing the seemingly clean blade up and licking it. Instantly, Midoriya yelped in shock as his entire body locked up, feeling every muscle frozen in place as he fell onto his stomach with a thud. "Wh-what?!" he stuttered in confusion before his eyes noticed the paper cut sized line of red on his stomach underneath the torn cloth. "Just that little bit?"

Stain grunted as he stood back up to walk past Midoriya. "Your moves are impressive, but are pretty linear after seeing them. With training your power could be quite something. There are a lot of false heroes crawling these streets, but you may be worth letting live. I can sense something coming from you. It will be interesting to see what you become. He, however, is only a plague that has infested this world."

Midoriya's mouth trembled in horror as he could only watch as Stain stood over Tenya once more, his sword raised above the teen's head. "No, please don't! Stop!"

"GET AWAY FROM HIM!"

The sudden scream down the alleyway brought Stain's gaze up once more, his eyes widening as he swung his sword up and shattered several ice spikes before they could land. A blast of fire quickly followed after forcing him to jump back from his target, grunting in annoyance as two more teens ran down the alley. "More of these punks are here."

Midoriya's mouth hung open in shock before relief came over him, amazed at who had showed up. "Katara, Todoroki!" he yelled out in surprise that they must have been close when he sent his message.

Katara didn't respond to her name, too worried as she ran towards Tenya lying still on the ground. "Iida, Iida!" She slid to a stop and knelt beside him. "Are you alright?!"

"K-Katara?" Tenya stuttered out in disbelief. "What are you doing here?"

"Don't be asking me that! What were you thinking coming here?!" She screamed back at him, causing him to grit his teeth.

"I had to face him… I have to be the one to avenge Tensei!"

The sound of his name caused Katara's heart to skip a beat, forcing her eyes to look back up towards the assailant. Now that she was here, she finally realized this was him; the one who nearly killed Tensei and crippled him. She felt her skin run cold from the feeling she received as he looked back at her. It wasn't because of the weapons across his body nor the way he hunkered over. No, it was the gaze he carried that pierced the air. She had seen it several times back on her home world, but this was perhaps the most intimidating yet.

The eyes of a true killer.

She swallowed the lump in her throat as Todoroki walked past her with his left side burning, keeping the flames in his hands ignited. "We were lucky that we came here today. If we weren't already nearby, it would have been too late." he said.

"Yeah…" Katara quietly responded as she looked around, her eyes widening when she saw her other friend laying still on the ground. "Midoriya, are you alright?!"

Midoriya attempted to nod, but couldn't. "I'm fine, but… I can't move!"

"What? What do you mean?"

"It's the hero killer's quirk; if he ingests your blood, your body feels paralyzed!"

Katara's mouth fell open in shock, looking back down to Tenya below her. "Come on, let's get Midoriya and-

"I can't…. I can't move, either." Tenya grunted out, causing Katara's heart to jump.

"Wait, you both are…" Katara glanced down to his shoulder and saw worried the blood seeping out, but could tell it wasn't a vital spot that made him immobile. She then realized he was stuck from the hero killer's quirk as well, not able to move his body. She then looked to the side and saw another person laying there. Her eyes then went back to the hero killer standing there, unable to stop the glare that formed in her face. "You were trying to kill all of them."

Stain sneered at the look he received from the girl, gripping his sword tighter. "Your eyes are filled with hatred as well, child. I would be careful about what you try and say next."

Katara clenched her fists in anger as she stood from the ground. She walked forward and flipped her canteen open, pulling out a stream of water as she readied herself to face the man who now had hurt two people close to her. "You will regret what you have done." She hissed out.

Stain watched as the water flowed around her body, adjusting the knife in his other hand. "You look as if I took someone close to you. I haven't come across anyone that-

"You almost killed the one who took me in." Katara cut him off. "You attacked him here in this city."

The hero killer raised his eyebrow curiously to her statement. "So, you were close to that fraud hero Ingenium as well."

Katara's teeth clenched in fury to that last sentence, whipping her arm and shooting her water forward. Stain quickly leaped to the side before the water quickly gave chase once more. Grunting, the hero killer slashed through the water, breaking it apart before another stream launched at his head. He ducked underneath and rushed forward again. "Don't get in the way of my prey!", Stain roared out

Not wanting to hear him speak anymore, Todoroki activated his ice and burst forth a thick column at Stain, making him retreat backwards. The ice spread out underneath Midoriya and Native, forcing both to slide down towards them and by Tenya's side. "We have to keep them behind us until the pros arrive." he stated and swung his right hand to unleash another ice wave.

Katara watched as Stain quickly leaped back and out of range, whipping in and out of the thick ice spikes shooting up from the ground. "He's fast. If I can get him, if I help-

"Katara, I know you are angry. But fighting him is not the best option…" Shoto quickly said. "You know this is the truth."

"What?" She gave a small glare towards him. "I can help you fight him and-

"Don't let your anger cloud what is the best option," Shoto ignited his fire and shot a blast at Stain once again. "You were the one who made me learn that."

Katara's mouth fell open to his words. She cursed herself for what she was doing; her anger almost making her repeat the same mistake she made in the past. She wanted to fight, but that could put the others in danger. "Alright, I'll get them out."

"Go, I won't be able to hold him long." Shoto dropped and slammed his hand into the street unleashing a large wall of ice.

Despite what she wanted, Katara nodded and waved her arms around her body. The ice beneath the three on the ground shifted into water and encircled their bodies, lifting all of them off the ground. "Don't stay here alone. Come on!" She yelled out back to Shoto.

"I'll keep him distracted. Go!" He responded as his left side ignited once more and blasted forth a thick stream of fire at the evading hero killer.

As Katara ran carrying the three figures in water, Tenya's eyes went wide as he could only stare as he was pulled away from his target. "No, don't do this! I can't let him get away!" he wailed out in agony.

"Don't be stupid! You were almost killed just now!" Katara snapped, glaring up to him. "What were you trying to do?!"

"I have to stop him… I have to do it for Tensei!"

Katara gritted her teeth and looked away, understanding the pain he was feeling right then. She wanted to stop, but she knew she had to keep them safe.

As he jumped down and slashed through a column of ice, Stain looked out and saw the new girl carrying the three away. His eyes burned with fury at seeing his targets escaping. "Not while I am here. Those two frauds won't infest this world any longer!"

The yell from his opponent caused Shoto to step back, igniting his left as he brought his hand back. "You won't be coming any- AGH!"

His words were cut off as a pain of daggers flew into his left forearm. He barely had enough time to even register the attack before Stain was right in front of him swinging his sword towards his head. He jumped back too late as the blade slashed across his cheek quickly, followed by a spinning back kick slamming him into the wall. Shoto didn't even have time to gasp out in pain before he felt his body fall under paralysis, locking up and falling to the ground.

'I… can't move…' Shoto hissed internally, his eyes catching a glimpse of the hero killer vanishing. "Katara, he's coming!"

"What?" Katara's heart jumped as she turned around to the warning, the hero killer sprinting down towards her. She quickly set the trio on the ground and bent the water up and to her arms, shooting a thick water whip right towards him. The assassin hugged low to the ground as he barreled forward, dodging each of Katara's attacks as they came at him.

'He's fast…' Katara whispered in disbelief as she threw more water towards the assailant, but every time his body moved at unreal speed dodging everything she shot. '...He's faster than Iida!'

"Katara, get out of here!" Tenya screamed out from the ground. "Don't get involved with this!"

"I won't abandon you!" Katara retorted as she launched a barrage of ice spikes forward, gathering more water as they were shattered from Stain's blades. She spun her arms around herself and formed an ice shield just as his sword swung towards her, the blade nearly cutting through.

"Admirable to save your friend. However…" Stain flipped his body up and ax kicked towards Katara's head, the waterbender swinging her arms up and blocking it with an ice column. Before she could react, a knife was launched and embedded into her shoulder causing her to scream out. "Get out of my way!"

"Katara!" Tenya's eyes widened as he watched her stumble back before Stain spiraled midair and kicked her hard in the stomach sending her sideways. "You Bastard! Don't touch her!"

"Katara!" Shoto yelled out in vain from his spot, helpless as he watched her bounce onto the ground.

Stain gripped his sword with both hands and raised it above his head. "You should repent the sins you have done, child!"

Katara winced as she crawled back up, her heart beating so hard as she watched Stain leap towards Tenya. "No! Leave him alone!" She screamed out. Her hand raised up, ready to-

BOOSH!

A flash of green burst through the air and collided into Stain's stomach, Katara's mouth falling open in shock. "Midoriya?!"

"I don't know why, but I can move now!" Izuku shouted out and wrapped his arms around Stain's stomach and slammed him into the side wall.

"You can? It wears off?" She gave a sigh in relief.

"What?" Native gasped out from his spot. "But he was paralyzed after both of us."

Stain hissed in annoyance, threw the teenager off him and landed back into the ground. 'Damn it… He must be Type O.'

Landing on his feet, Midoriya took a breath to calm himself. He turned back and ran over to his friend in worry. "Katara, are you alright?"

"I-I'm fine." She stuttered out and stood back up, wincing to the pain in her stomach and shoulder. "How are you moving?"

"I don't know. It just wore off suddenly." Midoriya turned back and stared at the hero killer. "It could be the effects weaken with more people, or the amount of blood he ingests. Or… it could even vary on blood type."

Stain couldn't help but snicker at the last one. "You are a bright one, aren't you?"

"Blood type?" Tenya mumbled out. "I am type A."

"I'm B." Native added.

Midoriya gave a small nod to himself. "I am O, so perhaps that is the shortest time."

Shoto laid there as he stared helpless, trying everything he could to move but to no avail. He was type O as well, but he didn't want to wait until whatever time limit was on him expired. He wanted to help. "Come on… move damn it…" he cursed himself.

Katara frowned to herself as she didn't know her blood type, reaching up and grabbing the knife in her shoulder. She yelped from the stinging pain, but fought through it and ripped the blade out of her flesh. Midoriya gasped and reached in worry as she stumbled for a moment. "Katara, you shouldn't be-

"I'm alright." She glared and threw the weapon behind her. Bending a handful of water up, she began healing her shoulder and walked next to Midoriya. "We can't run away with the others. He won't let us leave this place, and he for sure won't wait until others show up. We have to stop him."

Midoriya grunted, knowing she was telling the truth. "You're right. If I can land another good hit, it may be enough to put him down."

Katara glanced over to him curiously, wondering how he learned to move like that just now. Deciding to discuss that later, she lowered her hand and summoned out the rest of her canteen's supply. "Okay. Let's do it."

Stain bared his teeth in frustration at these kids in his way, specifically Midoriya. "I'd hate to hurt one with promise, but don't think I won't do what is necessary for this world. I will purge these impostors tonight!"

The pair of teens readied themselves as Stain burst forward with weapons drawn. Midoriya kicked off the ground and leaped to the side wall, springing back and forth across the alley. With Stain distracted, Katara whipped her arms and slashed her water forward, but Stain leaped above the stream and threw several daggers at the waterbender. She swiped her arms down, forming ice and stopping the blades, but she gasped in shock as he burst right at her with his sword drawn.

"Smash!"

Stain flipped backwards as Midoriya slammed his fists into the concrete. The Hero killer hissed and leaped after Izuku, but had to retreat as another water whip shot forth at his head. Stain jumped back as several more ice spikes shot straight towards him, countering them with his own daggers.

"Stop…" Tenya hissed in fear and frustration while he laid helpless, watching the two fight off the killer in front of him. "Don't risk your lives. This is my fight to finish!"

"Your fight?" Katara yelled out in anger as she whipped her arms forward and shot a barrage of ice spikes out. "You were going to die if we didn't show up!"

"I have to do this for him. Tensei will not have justice until I stop him!"

"And how will you help him by being killed?!" Katara snapped out while she spun around and slashed a thick water whip through the alley, cutting through the brick wall. She brought her hands in front of her and blocked another dagger with ice. "How do you think he would feel?!"

"You can't understand…" Tenya's eyes watered in anger. "The pain of seeing your family hurt in front of you. The pain it gives you!"

If it weren't for the fact she was fighting, Katara would have dropped what she was doing to snap at him for what he said. Her brow furrowed in anger as she bended more ice around her into streams of water. "I was so scared when I saw him in bed like that, too. I know what it feels like." Her mind flashed back to that fateful day when she was a child. "I know that pain… more than you can ever imagine!"

She spread her fingers open and split her water whips into multiple tendrils and launched them at Stain. The hero killer slashed throuh the streams as he flipped back through the alley, dodging another leap from Midoriya, his knife finding the teen's calf and slicing deep. Stain's tongue reached out to lick his blade, but one of the water streams latched onto the steel and froze over the blood. "Damn you…" Stain cursed and turned his attention to the waterbender.

Sprinting down the alleyway, Stain dodged whatever water she threw at him. Midoriya limped up from the ground, wincing from the blood seeping out of his leg. "Katara, look out!"

Katara glared as Stain leaped above the large stream she shot at him, putting herself between the two still on the ground, and enshrouded her arms in water. Stain flipped over another ice spike as she formed a wall of ice in front of her, only for it to be shattered by the killer's sword. "You are protecting those who don't deserve to live!" Stain roared out and charged her.

The water on Katara's arms froze into ice as she raised her arms and blocked his sword. "I will protect anyone who needs help, and I won't let you kill my friend!" She screamed in anger.

Stain snickered at her remark before drawing his sword back and swinging it over and over, his blade chipping away at the ice on her. "Very admirable of you! I can tell you truly believe that, but your friend there is nothing of the sort!"

Katara yelped in shock as a powerful strike cracked the rest of the ice off her left arm, falling back as he leaped towards her. She crawled backwards but gasped out as his boot slammed into her stomach pinning her down. She went to raise her hands, but his other foot pinned her left hand down while his free hand grasped her right. Her eyes widened in horror as the sword was held just above her throat, the cold eyes of Stain piercing hers.

"No, get off her!" Midoriya yelled in fear, attempting to stand before he gasped out in pain from his calf and fell to his knee.

"Damn you!" Tenya cried in frustration, his body aching to move even a finger. "Don't you do anything to her!"

"I can sense there is more to you than the average child…" Stain hissed out from his position, "Your eyes give that all away. You aren't afraid to jump in and help someone, even if that means your own life is at stake. Very rare to see it so natural in someone. I'd hate to hurt someone with actual promise, but I can't let you stop my duty."

Swallowing the lump in her throat, Katara glared up at the hero killer. "Is that what you call killing innocent people?"

"Everyone I have taken down were impostors infesting this world. I am clearing out all of these frauds that call themselves heroes."

"My brother was no fraud," Tenya growled out, "He was a great man who always did the right thing for others!"

Stain grimaced to the other teen's words, growing pissed off he was still alive. "Your brother was one of thousands who steal that title from those who deserve it. Becoming a hero to follow your families' career is no true hero!" He leaped off Katara and drew a dagger out. "That is why I made him suffer!"

Katara couldn't even scream out as the knife flew out of Stain's hand straight towards Tenya before she could even get off the ground. But just as fast as it was released, a bright green flash burst in front of Iida and took the knife in his shoulder. Everyone's eyes widened in disbelief as Midoriya still leaped at Stain with his fist ready to strike.

"Smash!"

Stain braced his arms and blocked the punch, which sent him back several feet. He hissed in annoyance and went to draw another weapon before his eyes shot open from the bright flames blasting his way. He leaped up and kicked off the wall just as the fire raced by, glaring to see the other one up. "Damn this night for me…"

Katara looked back and sat in shock from the sudden change in everything, turning around and seeing Todoroki standing up now. "You're back up…" She said in relief.

"It just wore off…" Shoto quietly said as he approached. "It only lasts a few minutes with Type O it seems."

"That's good. Glad to see you are okay. So at least you and Midoriya don't have-

"Agh!"

Katara's heart jumped from the sudden yelp beside her, flipping around and seeing Midoriya gripping his leg tight. "Midoriya!" She yelled out and ran over to him, her eyes locking on to the massive gash in his leg. "That is really bad! Here."

Midoriya winced as she brought one of her hands up and placed it over the cut, but as the water began glowing, he felt the soothing feeling from her healing taking affect. "Thanks. That was getting painful…"

"It was really deep. You keep fighting with this it can be-

Katara suddenly gasped as her entire body was overcome with a powerful sensation locking up her muscles. Her healing stopped as she toppled over and fell onto her side. The others' eyes went wide in shock and rushed to her side. "Katara, what happened?!" Shoto yelled out in worry.

"Katara!" Tenya screamed.

"I… I can't move!" She gasped out in fright.

"What?!" Midoriya looked down over her form. "But he didn't cut you just now!"

Shifting her eyes, Katara looked past the others to see Stain down the alley lowering a blood covered blade from his mouth; the same blade she pulled out of her shoulder earlier. "No…"

"You kids can't see the big picture… the disease that infests this world." Stain growled out as he walked forward. "I am making this world right, by eliminating those who trample over the true meaning of being a hero!"

Shoto's left side ignited as Midoriya hobbled back to his feet. "Todoroki, give me some cover!"

Midoriya kicked off with his good leg and sprung off the walls while Shoto blasted his fire keeping Stain at bay. As the two of them fought to hold him back, Katara laid there watching them as much as she could from her spot. She grunted in frustration, trying to move so she could get up and help them. But she was stuck there… helpless.

"Go…"

Tenya's voice reached her ears, looking over as he had tears falling from his eyes. "Iida, we will get through this together and-

"Go… all of you get out of here." He cried out in frustration. "I can't watch you all get hurt like this!"

Her heart ached from the look on his face, gritting her teeth together and glaring at him. "I told you I would be there to help you. I won't go back on that!"

"None of you should be here… this is what I have to do for him!"

"Are you going to just sit there? Is that what your brother Ingenium would want?" Shoto yelled out as he slammed his hand down, unleashing his ice. "We are here because it is the right thing to do. You want to make your brother proud? Then get up and fight!"

Kicking Midoriya away, Stain burst down the alley and slashed through the ice in front in front of Todoroki. Shoto stepped back and engulfed his left side in fire once more. "Be the hero your bother wanted you to be!"

Tenya's chest swelled in pain and guilt as Todoroki's flames forced Stain back one more time. He was so stuck on vengeance he had abandoned why he ever wanted to go to UA in the first place. He cursed himself for ever falling down this path, and now his friends were paying for his mistake. He had to get up and make this right. He laid there in anger… until he felt his fingers clench into a fist.

Katara grunted in frustration as she tried watching the fight from the ground, unable to see everything as they were moving around so fast. She gasped out in worry as Midoriya was sliced over his forearm before Stain quickly brought the blade up and paralyzed him once more. She watched helplessly as he turned and rushed towards Todoroki again, shattering the ice barrier he made. "Todoroki, get back!" she screamed out.

A powerful gust rocketed past Katara, her eyes wide in shock as Tenya launched himself directly at the hero killer. His turbo legs ignited as his kick whipped forward and collided into Stain's stomach, launching him backwards. She stared in awe as her friend landed back on the ground in front of them.

"Iida?!" she gasped out, seeing him freed.

"I was so wrong for doing what I did," Tenya said out loud as he glared up across the alley. "Tensei would be ashamed of me, but I won't let you hurt anyone else close to me!"

"You little bastard…" Stain said and shook in fury as he tightened the grip on his sword. "I was too kind to your fake of a brother. Now he will live with the mistake of creating another pretender in you!"

"Look out!" Katara screamed as Stain burst forth once more, the blood lust in his eyes growing with his frustration.

Stain roared in anger and unleashed several knives flying through the air straight towards the pair of students as ice rose and blocked the blades. Tenya took this chance and burst to the left, the hero killer focused on him, especially as he turned and gave chase. Before he could get close, another blast of fire stifled the assassin, making him turn in rage. Tenya now launched off the wall and attempted to kick but missed as Stain ducked under, who was unable to counter as more ice shot forth, almost encasing his feet.

The high-speed battle continued like this several times, each skirmish barely lasting a few seconds before they separated and engaged once more. From her position though, Katara's worry grew more and more. She could tell with every strike, the hero killer was becoming more aggressive, more erratic. Worst though, he was getting closer with every encounter. His speed was far too much for them to contain. They needed help.

"Move…" Katara hissed to herself, clenching her eyes shut in anger. "Move!"

Then suddenly… a familiar sensation flowed into her body, one that caused her eyes to go wide in both relief… and worry. It was something that she did not expect to happen here.

Stain hissed in fury, slashed through the incoming ice and leapt straight for the evading Tenya, throwing a pair of knives out and cutting off the teens path. "You have evaded your punishment long enough!"

"Iida, get out of the way!" Shoto yelled out and raised his left hand to attack, but gasped out in pain as a throwing star shuriken shot through his fire and pierced the center of his palm. He looked back in fear as he knew his ice would not make it in time. "Iida!"

A stream of water spiraled through the air out of nowhere and wrapped around Tenya's waist pulling him out of the way. His eyes went wide in surprise as he looked back to the user. "Katara? You're up!"

The waterbender was up on her feet, waving her arms and setting him back on the ground. Shoto hissed as he pulled the pulled the weapon out of his hand, standing back up as he nodded towards Katara. "You are already on your feet. It's lucky you are the same blood type as us." He then took note of her not even looking his way while he was talking, something she's never done before. "Katara?"

While the others assumed the obvious, Stain stared in wide eyed disbelief to the blue-eyed girl. 'What the hell is going on? It has barely been a minute and she's already up. Not even type O effects end that fast.' He narrowed his gaze into a tight glare. 'She controls water and can also heal, but that shouldn't affect my quirk.'

Katara remained silent as she stared down the alley, closing her eyes as she felt the new energy flowing through her. The smoke from the nearby fires were blocking the sky so she couldn't see, but as the night got further along, she felt her powers increasing. And while it wasn't the same, the feeling over Katara's body was very similar to something she had felt in the past… something she wish could be forgotten.

But one blessing from it was that she regained control over her body.

She opened her eyes and stared down their opponent, gathering water from a block of ice made by Todoroki and circling it around herself. "Let's stop him here and now. All of us together."

Tenya stared at her before nodding. He had so many questions burning in his mind, but she risked her life to come here for him. Those would be saved for later.

"Right!" He declared and ignited his legs once more.

Shoto's left arm was pulsing in pain, but he pushed through and clenched his fist. "Let's end this."

"All of you…" Stain's tongue flicked across his cheek in anxiety from the trouble he was dealing with. "All of you are blind to the truth!"

Shoto acted first and formed an ice barrier stopping the many knives flying their way. Katara brought her hands forward and shifted all of the ice into water and sent it rushing towards Stain, forcing him to leap onto the walls. Not giving him time, she spun around and whipped the stream circling her body out and barely missed as he burst off the wall to the other side of the street. Stain couldn't even land on the ground before he caught sight of Tenya bursting towards him.

"Recipro Burst!"

The turbo boost whipped his legs out and was blocked by Stain, the killer caught off guard by the strength now. As he was pushed back, however, he managed to slip his knife underneath Tenya's leg and slash underneath the thigh. As he jumped back from the yelping teen to give room for his sword, Stain felt a stream of water enshroud the blood covered knife and hand before freezing. He glared and quickly slashed through the ice freeing himself, but the blood was now gone from the blade. Furious, he launched the knife and embedded it into Tenya's blocking forearm.

Before Stain could strike again, he sensed the burning flames rushing his way and jumped back, but not before his right arm was scorched. He hissed in pain and landed onto the moist ground, ready to rush forward only to suddenly be stuck. "What?!" his eyes shot down to his feet and found them encased in ice.

"I got him!" Katara yelled as she brought her hands back. "Do it now!"

"He's mine!" Shoto yelled out and ignited up in fire, unleashing a gargantuan stream of flames engulfing the alley as she barreled towards the wide-eyed Stain. In the next moment, only the wailing of agony from Stain could be heard inside the inferno. Shoto sighed out as the cries came to a halt. "He must be out now. Try to- GAH!"

"Todoroki!" Katara's gasped in shock as a knife flew through the flames and struck Shoto's right shoulder. She turned back forward, but screamed out as another blade pierced her just above the knee. The fire suddenly burst outward, the scorched hero killer roaring out in fury and bursting forward once more.

"He's a monster!" Shoto was astounded by this man's determination, unprepared as Stain moved with unreal speed straight towards the pair of them. Before he could even ignite his fire again, Stain was upon him, bringing his arms up to block as the sword slashed deep across his forearms.

Katara's eyes widened in fear as she saw Shoto fall to the ground after the spray of blood. She raised her hands up, but Stain's leg whipped up and slammed into her stomach before she could even see him move. She was thrown hard to the ground and screamed in pain as his large boot stomped her, pinning both of her wrists down. She winced out as she tried moving to no avail, looking up in terror as his blade rose above his head.

"Get off her!"

A green blur shot through the air straight towards Stain, the hero killer's red eyes infuriated as the now mobile Midoriya leaped forward with his fist aimed toward him.

"Smash!"

The loud crack of fist to bone echoed in the alley as Midoriya's strike collided into Stain's face once more, blood spraying out from the hero killer's mouth as he was thrown backwards down the alley. He did not go down however, the enraged man screaming out like a rabid beast and launching himself into the air… over the others and straight towards Tenya once more.

"Your cursed blood will run tonight!" Stain spat out along with his own blood.

"No! Stop!" Katara screamed out in horror as she crawled up from the ground to see Tenya struggling to evade with his injured leg. There was no water nearby him to use, and her own would not reach in time. Her heart raced in her chest, images of Tensei crippled in his bed flooding her mind once again. She pictured the same thing happening again… someone close to her about to be hurt while she sat there.

No… she wouldn't let it happen again.

Her hand reached out towards them, her fingers spreading apart as she arched her knuckles. "I SAID STOP!"

The air seemed to suddenly freeze over as everything went silent. Everyone there felt the breath in their chest stuck as they were unable to process what they were seeing. Sweat dripped down Tenya's face as the sword was held only inches from his face. His eyes weren't focused on the blade though, but instead to the hero killer standing there, his body twitching erratically.

"What… what the hell?" Stain stuttered as his body refused to move, a cold sensation rushing through his skin. His arm began to spasm as it suddenly jerked to the side, some strange force inside his body controlling his movements and causing his fingers to twitch open, dropping the sword. His wrist twisted painfully and dropped to the ground, the strange sensation traveling upward and forcing his body down to his knees. "What's… happening?"

Midoriya's mouth hung open in shock as the hero killer's body moved in grotesque and disjointed positions causing him to collapse. "What's… what's going on with him now?"

Shoto was just as confused to what was happening, clutching the slash across his arms to try and slow the bleeding. He then glanced over to his left, his eyes widening in realization to what was happening. "K-Katara?"

His words didn't reach Katara as her open palm stayed aimed towards Stain, too focused on the horrid man before her to listen to anyone else. She wobbled to her feet, panting as she glared and raised her other hand. "I said I would not allow you to hurt anyone else.", she hissed out towards him.

The smoke above the buildings dispersed only for a few moments, but it was enough for Katara to catch a glimpse over her shoulder to the bright light shining down from the sky. She hadn't seen it earlier, but the sensation she felt was the same thing she had known since childhood, increasing her bending to its maximum potential. She turned back forward, away from the full moon disappearing once again.

The others in the alleyway sat in silence as Katara limped a few steps forward, her opened left hand pointed towards him before aiming it towards the ground, forcing Stain's body to the ground too. She sat there staring at the struggling man, her mind replaying the images of Tensei crippled in the hospital. She exhaled hard from her nose, increasing the force of what she exerted, into the dark form she couldn't stop from using any longer.

Bloodbending.

"Even after what you say, you are nothing more than a killer. All you've done is hurt people, and you try to claim that is right." Katara clenched her hands slightly tighter and turned them upward, forcing Stain's body to lift back up and turn to face her. The hero killer gasped from the unearthly feeling over him, forced to look straight at the girl in front of him. But what surprised him was the look of pain on her face, her moist eyes glaring straight towards him.

"You hurt someone who helped me when I had nothing; who gave me a home when I had nowhere to go. He was kind and caring, always looking to help others, and you made him suffer. He was good, and you hurt him!" She screamed out, swinging her arms and flinging his body across the alley and slamming him into the concrete wall.

The cement cracked from the force of impact, Stain gasping out as he was suddenly flung and smashed into the opposing wall, blood seeping from his mouth as his vision began fading. His hazy eyes watched as Katara's hand twisted upwards, forcing his limp body up to his knees and facing her once more.

Tears fell down Katara's cheeks as she tightened her hand, watching as Stain gagged from the muscles in his neck contracting. "You made him suffer for helping people. It would be fair to have the same thing done to someone as cruel as you!"

She clenched her fist tight, the hero killer gasping as his breathing became ragged, the constriction inside his throat becoming overbearing to handle. His vision turned black as everything went to darkness.

And then Katara released her grip, allowing the unconscious Stain to collapse onto the ground. She dropped down onto her knees, panting as she regained control over her emotions. Her arm came up and wiped across her face to remove the excess tears, staring down at her hands before letting them fall to her side.

"But that would only make me as cruel as you are," Katara forced out, clenching her wet eyes shut and remembering the smile Tensei would give her. "And he would never want that either."

The air now rang out in eerie silence, the battle with the hero killer coming to an end after only eight minutes. However, the others weren't looking to the unconscious Stain lying on the ground. They were staring in complete silence to the act that had just taken place before them, to their friend who had just performed something they could not comprehend.
