Notes: Oh my god... It's back people, the story is back!

I want to apologize it took this long (what two months?!) for an update, but in all honesty this has been the craziest portion of my life. and this is also alot shorter chapter than I wanted, but I just didn't want to keep you guys waiting any longer. but here we are... it's back!

And also, I have finally gotten settled into my new place! so updates will be returning at a better pace soon!

so without further ado... Enjoy!

Katara stood in front of the tall building for a few minutes, staring up to the top floor of the Endeavor agency knowing who was up there. She frowned as she squeezed the handle of her briefcase, her mind going back to the thought of him. At this point she didn't even care about what he thought of her, whatever problem he had with her she would just push aside. That wasn't what bothered her any longer. The things she heard that happened in the past is what stuck inside her mind now.

And she would find the time to confront that.

Taking a breath, she walked forward and pushed open the main door to the building. She walked through the entrance hall and found herself in the large agency room lined with the desks she remembered from the last time she was here. Immediately several of the sidekicks looked up to her, their eyes widening when they saw the waterbender standing there, still surprised to see her standing there despite knowing she was coming. Katara herself stared back at the group of heroes, unsure if she should simply walk up and talk to them or not. It wasn't like she even spoke to them the last time she was here. Before she could do anything though, an arm suddenly flung over her shoulder and yanked her to the side.

"Well look what we got here? The little water princess is back!" Burnin laughed as she pulled the startled Katara against her side. "Ain't this a shocker, huh?"

Grunting, Katara shook herself free of the grip and back up, although she gave a small smile up to the sidekick. "Nice to see you, too, Burnin."

"Of course it's nice to see me, when is it not?" Burnin laughed, "Heard your little friend isn't joining us. I was hoping to smack both of you around this time."

Katara's smile fell at that, letting a small sigh out. "Yeah, he didn't get his license."

"So I heard. Pretty surprised, honestly." Burnin shrugged. "Figured he was too much of a stiff to actually let himself screw up."

'It's more than just that,' Katara muttered internally, knowing what made him lose his cool during the test. She rubbed the back of her head and sighed. "I wasn't expecting to have to come back here alone."

"Oh, not happy your cuddle bug didn't come with you?" Burnin chuckled as she turned away and walked. "Guess you'll be alone on the couch."

While she was simply screwing with her, Burnin didn't notice the blush that grew across Katara's face. The waterbender felt grateful at that, following the sidekick through the room and towards the elevators. Even though she knew Burnin was seemingly cool with her, she wasn't sure if letting Endeavor's top sidekick know the truth of her relationship with him yet.

"The big guy is in his office. You can go and meet him yourself and-

Burnin stopped talking when she saw the elevator doors open, revealing the figure standing there. Katara's eyes widened as well when she saw who it was, her heart immediately speeding up as the flame hero came into view. While before it was always in concern, that wasn't the case anymore, her fists clenching at her sides as he stepped into the room.

"Endeavor sir!" Burnin quickly gave a salute and grinned up at her boss. "I wasn't expecting you to be coming down."

Endeavor was about to answer but noticed Katara standing there behind Burnin. The pair of them stared at each other for several moments, the air seeming to stand still as the two didn't say anything. Endeavor huffed out and stepped forward. "So you have returned here once more, I see."

"It's not like I was given a choice in this." Katara grunted out and crossed her arms, not even trying to hide her annoyance with the situation.

Raising his eyebrow at her comment, Endeavor couldn't help but smirk. "Seems your attitude hasn't improved much, either. I thought that school teaches you manners."

"They teach me plenty." Katara shot back.

"I see," Endeavor frowned and turned to walk down the main lobby. "I am disappointed to hear what happened with Shoto. To learn he didn't pass is not what I expected from him."

Katara's teeth clenched as she walked after the flame hero, the waterbender so tempted to simply go off on him for what she had learned. She wanted to yell at him and confront him on the stories she was told, but held her tongue at the moment. She knew she was going to be stuck here for sometime, and she was not ready to make the entire work studies time become a nightmare. Taking a breath, she averted her eyes from him to try and control her temper. "I am upset, too. I didn't think they wouldn't let him pass."

"Indeed," Endeavor growled, wanting to have his son return here for more experience. "But now it seems he has to learn from his mistakes and wait longer now."

'His mistakes?' Katara's eyes narrowed into a harsh glare up at the hero, her mind screaming at her to yell at him now for his choice of words. But before she could, the sudden smack on her back from Burnin broke her thoughts.

"I think that means we get stuck with ice princess, boss!" Burnin laughed at the glare she received from the teen. "Shall I take her to the desks again for paperwork?"

Katara's mouth dropped at the offer from the sidekick, her eye twitching from the grin Burnin shot her way. To both of their surprises however, Endeavor stopped walking and shook his head. "I would prefer if she came out on patrol during these studies. She should see how the pros like us handle situations."

Now both Burnin and Katara sat in surprise, neither expecting him to say something like that. Endeavor turned around and faced the pair once more, staring at the waterbender for several seconds. He frowned when he saw her harsh glare his way, obviously she still didn't care for him. "You are here back under my watch once more. I hope there are no more mishaps like the last time, are we clear?"

"I can take care of myself, thank you." Katara growled out, making Endeavor raise his eyebrow.

"That's quite a lot of talk coming after what happened not too long ago. You kids still have so much to learn when it comes to dealing with villains on the streets. But to say you are useless may be a stretch for me now, as there is more to you, girl, than I initially thought."

"What do you mean?" Katara asked curiously.

"I know you don't care for me, and to be honest I am still figuring you out myself," Endeavor answered, smirking at the glare he received. "But I am curious to see if it was simple luck that you lasted through the license exams or that you really did earn it."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Katara shot back, "I earned it just like everyone else did."

"Hahaha! He means if you actually did a good job, kid," Burnin chuckled as popped her back. "You barely scrape by on the passing points or what? What did you get? I'm betting sixty seven points."

Katara frowned at the cackling sidekick. "Eighty nine points."

Burnin's eye gave a small twitch at that answer. 'Bitch did better than me? I only got seventy three!' Grinning wider, she stood back up and crossed her arms under her chest. "Sir, how about I be the one to give her a test then."

"Hmm?" Endeavor looked over to his top sidekick. "What do you have in mind?"

"I wanna see what the little dragon girl can do now since the last time we saw her. She already knows the place since last time so no explaining needed, which means we got time then." Burnin pointed one of her fingers right at the confused waterbender. "Time for a little sparring match again!"

"DIE!"

BOOM!

Bakugo unleashed another large explosion as he flew backwards, skidding across the ground as he caught his breath. His arms shook as his hero costume was nearly torn in several spots, glaring across the massive training field he was on. Standing there in the clearing smoke was Mirko, the rabbit hero bouncing casually as she smirked his way, not a mark on her bodyl. "Damn, I thought the exploding kitten was more than all talk. Still waiting here."

"Shut up! I'm not done yet!" He shouted out as his hands sparked more. "I'm gonna blow that stupid smile off your face!"

"Uh huh… You said that seventeen minutes ago," She taunted and cracked her neck. "Hurry it up, I feel like I get a better workout clothes shopping."

Bakugo's vein pulsed as she laughed at him, grinding his teeth in frustration. As soon as she let him up earlier , she made him change into his hero outfit and follow her to the training field behind her house. To his surprise she offered him a deal to get out of being made to come here; Land one hit on her and she would give him the choice to choose another agency. If he couldn't in twenty minutes, he had to shut up and do what she said from then on. Whether he would actually leave or not, Bakugo was not one to let a challenge go to waste, wanting to see how far he'd come himself.. "Then try this on for size!" he yelled as he launched himself forward and threw his hands forward, unleashing two powerful blasts forward.

Mirko snickered as her leg muscles flexed and kicked off the ground, leaping high in the air above the explosions and spinning down towards the teen. Bakugo barely dodged out of the way as her right foot slammed into the ground where he was and shattered the area, quickly flicking her foot underneath a large chunk of earth and kicking it up chest height. "Batter up!" She laughed as she whipped her leg up and kicked the hunk of earth like a cannon ball at the wide eyed Bakugo.

"Crazy bitch!" Bakugo shouted as he shot out an explosion shattering the earth, but gasped as he was suddenly launched to the left from a powerful strike to his gut. Bouncing across the grass, he coughed and glared up to Mirko lowering her leg. "Knock that shit off!"

"Hey, if you have fallen for the same thing four times, that's on you. How are you supposed to be the best if you can't see that?" Mirko bluntly stated. "Guess you are all bark and a little bite."

Hissing between his teeth, Bakugo stood up and spit out the chunk of grass in his mouth. Over and over again she would attack him from the front before being hit in the side by her. The problem however wasn't remembering where she was coming from, in fact he knew she was going to do that. The problem was he couldn't even react in time. Before he could even turn to face where she was going to be, she had already moved from his front and landed her next strike. She was the fastest hero he had ever seen.

'This damn rabbit is insane. I can't even tell when she moved from one spot to the next.' He growled internally, coming to a conclusion he didn't expect. 'She's about as fast as All Might was."

Hissing out, Bakugo opened his right palm and made a cup with his other focusing his attack, his attack now focused to a single point. "AP Shot: Auto cannon!"

Mirko's eyebrow raised as miniature explosives rapidly shot at her like a machine gun, her rabbit ears twitching in excitement as she laughed out loud. "Another new one? Not too bad!" She kicked off the ground and sprinted forward, her body ducking under and around the incoming blasts. Gritting his teeth bakugo suddenly opened his hand when she was nearly on him, the glow from his palms making her smile disappear.

"Stun Grenade!"

The blinding flash Made Mirko's vision go white, the hero skidding to a stop as she rubbed her eyes. "Damn little shit…" She cursed out, still seeing spots with her eyes closed. Seeing his chance, Bakugo grinned and charged the blast in his right hand.

"AP Shot!"

The single large beam shot from his hand and rushed straight towards the blinded hero, his fastest attack ready to strike her and grant him victory… only for her to dip her head backward and evade it. "What?!" Bakugo shouted out in annoyance.

Lowering her hand, Mirko kept her eyes closed and smirked his way. "You're a clever little bastard, I'll admit that. Still loud as shit, though."

Bakugo's eyes drifted up to her long ears standing above her head, rubbing his fingers together and noticing her ears twitch slightly to the faint sound. He growled out and clenched his knuckles. 'Damn bunny. Edgeshot did that shit with ponytail, but this woman's hearing is even better than his.' he said internally, seeing vision was the last thing she needed to fight.

Hearing him growling to himself from across the grass, Mirko chuckled and held her hands behind her back, egging him on to try again. "I'm waiting, little boy. I'm just a blind girl sitting helpless here."

Feeling his eye twitch, Bakugo bared his teeth and sparked both hands. "I'll wipe that damn smirk off your face, cottontail!" he screamed as he launched forward once more, determined to land an attack on the pro. "Don't underestimate me!"

Mirko couldn't help but laugh to herself as she listened to the explosion growing closer, her muscular legs shooting her forward as she evaded the first incoming blast. Flipping mid air, Bakugo spun out of the way just as her right leg swung right towards him. Before he could lift his other hand up and aim it at Mirko, he gasped as the rabbit hero landed on her hands and spiraled on the ground and whipped her legs outward. The spinning feet whipped by and kicked Bakugo's hand up just as he exploded, backing up as her other leg swung forward and stopped only inches from his shocked face. Feeling the lump form in his throat, Bakugo looked forward to see her still smirking at him with her eyes closed.

"You taking it easy on me?" Bakugo growled and thrust his hands forward. "I said don't underestimate-

His words were cut short as she shot her hand forward and snatched him by the shirt and chucked him into the air. She flexed her massive leg muscles and burst off the ground above him, her right foot brought up above her head. "Twenty minutes is up, kid!" She yelled out as her heel swung down, ax kicking his head and launching him back towards the ground. The impact formed a large dust cloud as Mirko landed back onto the ground, her vision slowly coming back as she turned towards the rising plume of dirt. "Hope he is as durable as his mouth is good at screaming."

Jumping across the field, she fell through the smoke cloud and looked around until she found her target. She couldn't hold back the snicker as she saw Bakugo's eyes rolled over white, the teen's mouth hanging open as he was sprawled across the dirt. She knelt down and smacked his cheek several times. "Get up, sparky. I know you're not that easy to put down."

"Ugh…" Bakugo groaned as his mind came to, his forehead vein pulsing from another good smack on his cheek. "God damn it, knock it off!" he yelled as he swatted her hand away, growling as rubbed the massive lump on his head. "The hell you trying to do, kill me?!"

"Hey, you are the one who kept bitching about me taking it easy. And trust me…" Mirko squatted down and leaned on her thighs, "If I want to try and kill you, your head would be a meatball right now. Don't sit there and think you're that tough, kid."

Glaring, Bakugo spit out some blood and rolled to his side, every movement making him ache. "Don't… think this is it, cottontail. I'm not done yet."

Now Mirko's smile fell away, watching as his arms shook trying to push himself up. "Come on kid, enough. I don't want the first student working for me to keel over on day one."

"Shut up…" Bakugo huffed in and out as he sat back up, Clenching his teeth together in anger. "I'm not so easy to be put down. I don't think you have any idea what I can really do. I told you' don't underestimate me."

Rolling her eyes, Mirko leaned back on her feet more. "I was taking it easy on you, but taking it easy and underestimating are different things, genius. If you want me to be honest, you are tougher than I expected, better than a lot of pros on the street in fact. I can see what Edgeshot meant when you were a stubborn one, And I think that's pretty sick, actually. I see a lot of dudes who feel pain like that and just give. I am wondering though what makes you think you can be better than me."

"Huh?" Bakugo stared at her in confusion. "The hell are you trying to say?"

"I'm asking what makes you think you are going to beat me one day?" She said, "You talked all big and bad to ninja boy about how you were going to be the number one hero someday, and that means you'll have to pass me up eventually. You saw what I can do in a sparring match, so what makes you think you can-

"You think you can scare me with a kick?" Bakugo cracked his neck as he crawled back to his feet, forcing himself up and standing above Mirko. "I don't care if it's you, Edgeshot, or god damn All Might standing in my way. I have no intention of backing down to anyone, and I will continue to keep hitting no matter what! Even if you knock me down, I'll stand back up and come at you again, even if it takes me years to figure out how to beat you. And even if I can't beat you, then I sure as hell am not going to run like those stupid tests they made me do at school! If I go down trying to keep a villain at bay, then that's what the hell is going to happen!"

The air fell silent after Bakugo's words, the teen catching his breath as he stared down the rabbit hero beneath him. Mirko herself felt her mouth fall open slightly to the statement, really surprised to hear something coming from a teenager so naturally. One of the reasons she hated working with others was the simple fact that it slowed her down, most other pros would be getting in her way, most relying too much on each other and not giving her the chance to go all out when she needed to. But mostly…. It simply annoyed her. She always found it more prideful to take on her foes alone, to prove she was the one able to do it and wasn't worried of the risk to herself as long as she knew she did her best.

It had been a long time since she met someone with a similar mindset to her, and she couldn't help but grin.

"I gotta say, sparky… I'm impressed. I thought you were gonna cry once you got an ass whooping and begged to be sent back to your school.." Mirko laughed as she stood back up and gripped her hips.

"I'm not gonna be one to whine about shit like that!" Bakugo snapped back as he glared at the shorter pro. "Try that again and we will be different this time!"

Mirko laughed and tapped her foot in amusement. "Looks like this may be more fun than I thought. Now I want to see if this talk of yours works on the street."

"Huh?" Bakugo groaned out, "So you are saying that..."

"I'm saying that you, Bakugo, are going to be the first kid I take under my watch."

Adjusting the gauntlets on her wrists, Katara inhaled as she turned to the large training mat she stood beside. Having to spar with Burnin was not what she expected on her first day here, making her think back to her first day last time. After being told to change to her hero outfit, she was now surprised to see not only Endeavor and Burnin here, but several other of his sidekicks on the side now. One of them looked to be a normal man wearing a helmet with two spikes, while the other was wrapped in bandages all over their face and hands. The one who stood out the most was the… blue horse looking man in a gray and red outfit all sitting on the benches.

It seemed the man in charge Endeavor wanted this to be a show for the others, frowning to herself as she walked onto the mat towards the center. 'Is he doing this as a way to try and embarrass me in front of the others? He's got another thing coming if he thinks that's what's going to happen.' she growled internally.

Burnin laughed and twisted her back until it cracked, popping her knuckles and whistling. "I told you I would get this again after you left. Seems to be my lucky day." She shouted as she bounded over onto the mat as well.

"I guess it is," Katara responded as she reached the center, unable to stop the small smile that grew on her face. While she wasn't a fan of being made to come here, she would be lying if she didn't get some enjoyment out of Burnin. After the surprisingly warm welcome from the sidekick last time, she couldn't help but feel a bit better with her.

On the side, the sidekick Kido crossed his arms and leaned back against the wall. "Alright, who you got, man?"

The normal looking sidekick Onima laughed and put his hands behind his head. "Dude, Burnin's gonna torch that kid. I give it forty seconds."

Kido hummed to himself as he looked back to the student making her way onto the mat, remembering watching her during the festival. While that spectacle was also due to the amount of ice coming from their bosses kid, he certainly took note of what this kid could do. "I don't know man. This girl's pretty good. Only thing is she doesn't have much water to fight with here, so Burnin's gonna overwhelm her."

Katara could overhear the guys on the side slightly, huffing out as she looked down at her gauntlets and water pouch. She then looked back at Endeavor, her eyes narrowing as she wanted to show she was no pushover as he thought… or, as he used to? She felt some strange feeling in her chest after what he mentioned earlier. Before he did everything he could to keep her off the street, and now that Shoto wasn't here, she was certain he was going to try that again. Today though, he actually recommended she join them out on the field instead. With everything she knew about him, however, she still didn't want to give him the benefit of the doubt of why he said that.

"As you requested, Burnin, I'll let you have this little session." Endeavor said as he turned to the three on the side. "As for you three, use this as a chance to see this kid in action. None of you worked with her other than Burnin last time, and you all should use this to see how her quirk operates."

"Yes sir!" The three answered together as Endeavor turned back to the pair on the mat.

"Now, let us see what you got," Endeavor said as he crossed his arms, watching as both Katara and Burnin readied themselves to position. "Begin!"

"Hell yeah!" Burnin laughed as both her hands ignited and came forward, a bright green fireball shooting out at Katara. Flipping her right gauntlet open, Katara unleashed a thick stream shielding herself and gathering some out behind her body. Immediately Burnin's eyebrow raised in surprise from the act, clicking her tongue in excitement. "Well, looks like you got a little upgrade. You certainly didn't have that much water before."

"I had a few things changed, yes." Katara responded as she gathered the water on top of her arms and shoulders. "Can't make it too easy for you."

"Oh? Is that so, huh?" Burnin licked her lips as her hands lit up again. "Let's do this, then!"

Both of Burnin's hands went behind her and ignited, launching her body forward as Katara shot forth her water whip. Spinning past the incoming whip, Burnin thrust her right hand forward and unleashed a thick stream of fire right at Katara. The waterbender quickly brought both her arms down creating a watershield in front of her body, the fire and water clashing and blasting steam out from the shield. Burnin was ready to strike again, but gasped as the steam suddenly rushed together and formed a thick ice spike rushing towards her. "Ah shit!" She yelled and brought both hands forward blasting the fire, the ice melting away just before it reached her. "Hahaha! That's a new one! Nice!" Burnin cackled as she charged her quirk up, "Let's go!"

Burnin slammed her hands down and unleashed a wall of flames forward, forcing Katara to harden her shield to ice to withstand the intense fire. Glaring, Katara punched her ice shield twice, launching out solid blocks of ice at her opponent. Burnin laughed and twisted sideways, slipping between the ice and forming another large fireball in her palm, this one being much larger than the ones before. "Have a bite of this!"

Katara was surprised as the powerful blast shattered most of her ice shield, jumping back and bending all the broken chunks around her into water and turning the remaining shield into liquid as well. Ducking underneath another fire blast, Katara opened her second gauntlet releasing more water at her feet. As soon as it hit the ground, she burst forth skating to the side of the room shooting several ice spikes at her opponent. Burnin's feet ignited as well, launching the sidekick forward as she took chase after the teen throwing fire balls after her. Skating backwards on the water, Katara waved her hands as her floating water shield blocked the incoming strikes while shooting off her own streams of water out.

The pair continued this chase back and forth across the large training room, fire and water shooting everywhere as the two went at it. On the side, the three sidekicks stared in shock as this first year student was holding her own against the top sidekick of their agency. They knew this girl was tough, but watching her in person was a much different experience. Even Endeavor watched curiously as the waterbender moved across the mat. In honesty, when she battled Shoto during the festival, he was more focused on his sons movements, growing frustrated he kept refusing to use all his power just to spite him. And once he did, all focus of the other girls abilities went out the window.

Now that it was just her, he was actually taking note of it for the first time. The way she spun and controlled the flow of water around her body, guiding each drop through the air as if it were an extension of her body. As Katara formed an ice column in front of her shielding herself from fire, he stared in surprise as she lowered it to her chest level and began shooting off thin discs of ice, the spinning weapons whizzing through the air like buzz saws and almost grazing Burnin's side as she jumped back. The fluidity of going from defense to attack was almost flawless, far better than most students and even some pros.

'In fact…' he grumbled internally, having to admit a truth about her.'She would give most pros trouble if she were in the right setting.'

"Gah!" Katara yelped as a particularly fast fireball shot past her face, feeling the heat graze her cheeks just there. "She's certainly going harder than last time we did this," she said to herself as she formed a single thick whip of water on her arm. "Have to go a little harder as well, then!"

The thick stream of water shot forward and engulfed the flame coming from Burnin's hand, the sidekick's eyes widening as the water raced through her fire and ensnared her arm. She yelped as Katara pulled back hard, lifting her up into the air above the mat. While shocked, Burnin's eyes only showed excitement. "Now that's what I'm talking about!" She yelled out and opened her hand outside the water, forcing her fire into a blade on her hand and slicing through the stream freeing herself. "Looks like I need to take it up a notch then!"

Both of Burnin's hands lit up, the flames growing bigger and beginning to burn at her sleeves. Burnin snickered internally as her quirk grew stronger. "Been a while since I've gone this hot. You should feel pretty honored, kid!" Burnin yelled as she brought her hands together and focused the fire into a single point. "Flamethrower stream!"

Katara's eyes shot open as the fire burst out of her hand in a thick and solid stream of flames, skidding across the mat on her water as the blast torched the ground chasing her. Spinning back, she waved her arms around herself forming a stream around herself as well, skimming her hand over the top and shooting off hundreds of ice needles racing at Burnin in the air. Quickly stopping her attack, Burnin thrust her hands outward dispersing a wave of flames melting all the incoming attacks. "You ain't gonna hit me with little crap like that, girl!" Burnin sneered out.

"Wasn't trying to," Katara responded with a grin as she flipped her canteen open pulling the rest of her water out. "I just needed a moment to get all this." with a quick swipe of her arms, all the water formed into a large stream around her body, her hands guiding the shape of it until it took the form she was aiming for. The other sidekicks in the room gasped in shock as the water began shifting into a creature, the ice spines running down it's body along with the large head and mouth. Even endeavor's eyes widened at the technique, not knowing she was capable of something like that. Burnin herself felt her mouth fall open in surprise to the dragon that was now flying through the air, her mouth forming an enormous grin as she couldn't keep from laughing out.

"Holy shit, you went and did it?! HAHAHA! God damn you went and did that dragon I mentioned!" Burnin gave a quick clap before she reignited her hands. "Let's see if that thing holds up!"

As Burnin burst forward, Katara thrust her own arm up and swiped down, the dragon rushing through the air with her command. Burnin's arms became engulfed in flames as she thrust them in front of her, charging straight at the dragon head on. Just before they clashed, Katara thrust her hands forward and arched her fingers, forcing the dragon's mouth open and enveloping Burnin's torso.

"Oh Shit, that thing is gonna crush her!" Kido yelled out in worry as the water dragon chomped down, crashing into Burnin and forcing her back. After a few moments, however, Katara noticed the bright green glow coming from the dragon's head, and Burnin grinning down at her.

"What is she-

Katara was caught off guard by the burst of green fire from the dragon's mouth, the fire from Burnin's hands boiling the water enough to disrupt the hold on her and break free. The sidekick dropped to the ground, both her sleeves burned away as she emitted steam all over her body from the sizzling water she quickly escaped, still smirking as she sweated. "Now that's what I'm talking about, kid! This is sick!" Burnin laughed out as her hands ignited once more.

Katara couldn't believe what just happened; Instead of using the fire to burst out, she heated the water so much it broke the flow of the current enough to get out, meaning she sat in near boiling water for a second. "You're crazy, you know that, right? You almost cooked yourself in that!"

"My flames don't get as hot or explosive as normal fire, especially when my hands are wet. That means I do what I have to do!" Burnin shouted as her right hand formed a large fireball.

Shaking her head, Katara couldn't help but laugh as she guided the dragon behind herself for another attack. "I'm ready for you this time, then."

"Perfect, let's go!"

"Enough."

Both combatants froze when they heard the order from the side, turning to see Endeavor raise his hand. "I think we are done here."

"HUH?!" Burnin yelled out in frustration. "Come on, it was getting good!"

"This has been enough of a demonstration for now," Endeavor stated once more, staring over at Katara. "I think she has proven enough today."

Katara once again felt her mouth fall open in surprise to what she heard. She was expecting him to make some strange excuse and say she didn't earn a chance to go out to the field, but… he didn't. Instead, the flame hero turned and walked towards the exit. "My signed acceptance form for your school will be on the desk as you leave back to school. I expect you on time for every set work studies appointment from here on out."

As the door closed behind him, Katara just stared at the door for what felt a minute, unsure how to take what she was hearing. Before, all she felt was resentment and anger coming her way from Endeavor, and the feeling was quite mutual for herself at the moment. What she didn't understand was why he was suddenly talking… normal to her. She couldn't put a finger on it, but it actually seemed like… he was different. But she knew what she was told. She heard what Shoto told her and the kind of person he was, and would make sure she remembered that.

She could only ponder it a few seconds more until a hard pat on her back broke her thoughts. "Holy shit, now that was badass!" Burnin laughed as she gripped her hips. "You are a hell of a lot stronger than last time!"

"Th-thanks," Katara responded, rubbing her arm before guiding the water back into her gauntlets and canteen. "You were going a bit wild back there."

"I couldn't help it! When the hell did you make that dragon?! You practice it after I told you?"

"Actually, yeah…" Katara shrugged and smiled softly. "I made it as a special move for the license exam. It was a pretty good idea." her smile fell when she noticed the slight burns on Burnin's arms. "You okay?"

"Hey, it's been way too long since I got to go that hard in sparring! You killed it!" Burnin cackled as she pointed to the trio behind her. "You were a much better match than those pansies over there."

"Hey!" Kido yelled out, "It's not fair I… can't do that stuff!"

"God damn that was crazy!" Onima added as he whistled out. "You are one tough one, I'll say. I think it's going to be pretty cool with you on the team!"

"Hmmm…" the large horse looking man grunted in agreement, nodding his head.

Katara was really surprised at the change in attitude from all of them, the other sidekicks seemingly interested in her now. "Well, thank you. I hope I can do my best out there."

"Hey, if you stay as bad ass in the field as you were just now, I'd say you're good to go." Burnin said, before glancing down at her burned costume. "Shit… gotta get my spare out."

Katara looked over at Burnin's costume as well, both of the sleeves burned back past the elbows. "Is that supposed to happen?" She asked, earning a shrug from the wearer.

"Meh, it happens when I push my quirk. I don't use the top rated fire proof material in my costume, I hate the way that stuff feels on me. I'll just order another. And now…" Burnin lifted her arm and held it out towards Katara, the sidekick frowning. "Can you do that healing real quick? This hurts like hell actually."

Katara looked down at the blisters forming on Burnin's arms, frowning and pulling out some of her water. "Sorry. Is this from the water?"

"Just shut up and heal." Burnin growled and looked away frowning, Katara playfully rolling her eyes as she went to healing the injury. While she was being healed, the sidekick looked back to the glowing water on her skin, watching as the healing went to work on her damaged skin, staring at the blisters underneath. As they disappeared, She couldn't help but sigh in amusement. "You go from kick ass fighter to nurse pretty quick. Not bad."

"I just do what I can whenever," Katara couldn't help but smirk playfully. "That includes whipping you."

"Psshh…. Consider yourself lucky that match got called early. I was ready to roast you, kid." Burnin shot back as she pulled her arm away. "This ain't over. Going at it again sometime, got it?"

"I got it," Katara answered as she turned towards the exit, earning a nod from Burnin.

"Good… now you boys clean this place up."

The three other sidekicks all felt their mouths drop from the sudden order, turning to look at the burning training facility. "Wait, what?!" Kido yelled out.

Forty kilometers outside of Tokyo, a loud crash rings through the air as the wall of an abandoned building cracks. Several more loud hits followed before the wall burst outward, the stone shattering as a body was blown through it and slammed onto the ground, skidding to a stop before coughing out. The red head was the pro hero Slugger, his tan pinstripe outfit shredded and covered with his own blood. He wheezed out as he struggled to get up, his right arm broken in multiple places and disjointed backwards. He couldn't even register the pain, the rest of his body beaten and bloodied from the hits he received, unable to stand any longer. When he heard footsteps approaching, his eyes shot open in terror as he looked up to the massive man coming through the broken wall.

"That was pretty rude man, I was just trying to get a bite to eat when you came after me," Muscular laughed as he stepped into the light, the muscle fibers engulfing his arms slowly shrinking away. "But that felt good to be able to stretch a bit, so I should actually be thanking you."

Slugger's breath's came in rapid gasps, both from the pain and from fear of the man coming his way. After he thought he caught sight of the league of villains member leaving a cafe, he attempted to follow him to make sure what he saw and confronted him. Before he could call for backup however, he was blitzed by the large mans astounding speed and smashed through not one… but two walls. Unable to get away, he felt his heart bursting through his chest in terror as the crazed looking man stood over him. "P-please just let me go! I won't tell anyone you were here and- GAH!"

The hero screamed out in agony as Muscular's engorged leg slammed down on his chest, the force crushing his ribs and forcing both air and blood to burst out of his mouth. After a few moments the hero Slugger slumped to the ground, his eyes staring unfocused as he died right there. Lifting his foot off, Muscular snickered to himself at the sight. "Pathetic loser. I thought he could have taken a little more than that. Those kids were much more fun to play with." As his muscle fibers slowly vanished, Muscular looked down to his hands and squeezed them several times, most of the numbing pain from before gone now. While that was certainly a plus for himself, he couldn't stop from shaking in excitement.

Ever since he woke up after Kamino, the bloodthirsty killer was in a state of rage and frustration. Not only were they made to flee a fight, but his injuries left him in a state of rest for several weeks. Now that he was able to move his arms, it felt good to finally feel some bones break under his fists, and he certainly needed more of this to keep himself entertained. He needed this, the thrill of fighting someone and feeling them cry out in pain made him feel euphoria. And he wasn't keen on sitting quiet after everything that had happened since joining the league. "That bastard Shigaraki better have another fight for us soon. I don't think I can stay like this for long." he growled out.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps behind caught his attention, his mouth curling into a sinister grin as his arm's shook in excitement. "Another hero coming to save the day?" He hissed out and turned around, only to be surprised by the face he saw. "Well, this is not what I expected." he chuckled out.

"Thought I would find you here," Dabi responded as he walked towards the tall league member. "Compress has been crying that you were being a pain and took off back home for now. I just had to follow the bodies until I found you."

"Hey, I had to break something after I could start moving my arms," Muscular laughed and cracked his knuckles. "There was lots of shit to bust there so I did. I was getting tired of listening to them anyway and had to go do get my blood pumping."

Dabi looked past the blonde man and saw the corpse of the hero on the ground, lifting his eyebrow at the sight. "Looks like someone else's blood got pumping."

Laughing, the blood lusted man squeezed his hands over and over. "I had to feel it again, the blood of someone else on my fists. I can't just sit around and wait until the others figure out what to do with themselves."

Hearing that made Dabi smile, knowing this was the man to go to of all the others for easy pickings. "Well if you want to feel more of that, then I have a proposition for you."

Huh?" Muscular tilted his head in curiosity, "What are you talking about now?"

"Unlike the others who joined the league, you don't care about this grand plan that Shigaraki has, do you?" Dabi asked him, "You are in it just for the fun, yes?"

"Is it obvious?" Muscular chuckled out, "I just love the thrill of this. I don't give a damn about this world order shit he keeps crying about. I just want the excitement of killing."

"Well, if you want to kill more, then I have a proposition for you, then," Dabi responded, "Tell me, have you ever been to Mount Fuji?"

Notes: Hmmmm so Muscular being recruited by Dabi for his plans? Blood incoming!

Mirko taking Bakugo and Katara's second sparring match with Burnin! (Once again, I know Burnin's quirk works different, but I wrote her character before it was confirmed in canon so whatever, this is my version of her)

Oh and some surprising news: someone started a Tv tropes page for this story! thank you whoever is contributing to that and hope to see it grow larger!
