it was late but early when Bo looked from right to left. She did not move an inch. She smiled at the sounds surrounding her. Lauren was snoring and Kara was making baby noises. Her eyes teared up at the sounds. They were the most beautiful sounds she had ever heard. Her love and her baby. She has it all.
They were both warm against Bo. Kara was sleeping in her arms and Lauren was on her chest, sound asleep. There would only be Lauren had Bo not gotten up to go and get the baby out of her crib. She could not help it. Being apart from her was keeping Bo awake. Lauren had slept through it all. Just as well. Bo knew she needed to rest from a long night of celebrating Kara's birth.
Bo held in her laugh thinking of Dr. Lewis running tests to make sure Kara was fine. She was being a mother already and it was a wonderful sight to see. Bo felt her own stomach and smiled again. She does not have far to go before they will be an even bigger family. Bo never thought any of this possible. But when she met Lauren she knew her life would never be the same and it had not been.
They fought they made up. Bo thought of the first time she walked away from Lauren. Something stirred inside of her telling her to return to the blonde. Now she knew what that something was, her Succubus realizing there was more to the woman. She cursed Trick under her breath. Freaking bastard had robbed Lauren of years with her own Grandfather. If Bo never showed up on his bar doorsteps, she would have gone the rest of her life not knowing who she really is. Ours came from inside of Bo. She smiled and gently wrapped her free arm around Lauren.
Kara shifted in her mother's arms too. Bo smiled wide at the movement. Her little legs and arms seemed longer than the night before. She inhaled her scent. Corny but who was there to see it. The old Succubus finally closed her eyes to sleep. She hated to do it because she did not want to miss anything.
Lauren was doing her best to look and sound asleep. But she was awake. As long as Bo had been. Her eyes burned from trying not to cry at the time Bo had just spent with them. She felt it when Kara moved too. A little Bo and Lauren. She was too young for the Doctor to deduce who she would look like later, but she hopes it is Bo.
There is something so beautiful about a dark-haired Succubus. Plus, it would be fun to raise a child with Bo's attitude and habits. But this would not be an ordinary Succubus. She could be a witch like her mother and grandmother. Lauren nestled closer to Bo and gently squeezed her. She heard her inhale and sigh before settling back in.
Lauren covered her mouth when it sounded like Kara and Bo were trying to out snore each other. What a start the three of them were off to already. She adjusted gently against Bo and closed her eyes.
Later
Aife paced back and forth. The trio had not come downstairs yet. She was anxious. Anxious to hold her granddaughter. She wondered if Isabeau had been this anxious with her. She probably had the baby Succubus all to herself. Aife could not picture Trick being fatherly to her. He probably looked at her and walked off to do something kingly. She laughed at the thought. He was never a good King. It was silly calling him the Blood King. A king means to rule over people. Just because his blood was different, it did not make him a king. But since he was, the Fae would bow to them. All of them. For hundreds of years to come.
"Oh, freaking wake up already! Aife huffed.
"Shhh we are awake". Bo said putting her finger over her mouth. Aife froze noticing Lauren was holding Kara. She was wrapped in a plush blanket and the Succubus could not see her yet.
Lauren nodded as she walked over to the brunette. "She's still sleeping, but you can hold her".
Aife nodded and smiled as the warmth of the blanket touched her for the first time that morning. The women walked into the kitchen and Lauren set about making breakfast.
Prison yard
"Hey Kenz? Guess what? The inmates sang in unison.
Kenzi rolled her eyes. They had been doing that for hours, she tried her best to ignore it but could not any longer. "What?! She grumbled.
"Bo's a mother now! The women laughed and applauded.
"What? When? What did Bo have? Kenzi asked excitedly.
"Lauren had her baby. Bo hasn't delivered yet". A woman laughed as Kenzi's face went from glee to horror.
"When is Bo due? Kenzi asked.
"You aren't to be told that. Only when the Doctor delivered". Betsy laughed.
Kenzi screamed and returned to pacing around the prison yard.
The women rolled over in laughter. Aife was right, she was pissed off and it was hella funny to see.
Bo
The Succubus watched her mother and Lauren at the same time. One was cooking breakfast and the other one was doting over Kara. Bo could not get enough of that name. It fits a baby of Lauren's. Bo planned on taking extra steps and making notes of how she is going to be raised. Hopefully with the brilliance of her Doctor mother. Her heart. All that makes Lauren, Lauren.
Bo settled in a chair and waited to be asked for help. From Lauren or Aife. She snickered thinking if Kara wets herself, if her grandmother would want to change her. She did spit up on the woman already.
"Don't shake her like that". Bo laughed as Aife changed shirts and grabbed the baby again.
"It's okay my grand love, Grandma has plenty of outfits, you spit up all you like". Aife cooed as she walked her back and forth.
Bo shook her head and stood to help Lauren plate the food. The trio sat down with Kara close by and ate their food.
"She's beautiful ladies". Aife said taking a bite of food.
"Thank you". Bo and Lauren smiled in unison.
Aife could not stop staring at Kara and Bo could not stop looking between Lauren and Kara.
"We are all mushy". Lauren said as tears fell.
"It's okay babe. We can be as mushy as we want or need to be". Bo reached over and wiped a tear of Lauren's away.
"I'm sorry". Lauren laughed and wiped her eyes with a napkin.
"Don't ever be sorry about this". Bo spoke softly.
Lauren nodded and set the napkin down. Bo was rubbing her back, and she was loving every moment of it.
"Come on lets finish breakfast and go and show my granddaughter off! Aife smiled.
"Okay. Just let me make sure we have a bag for Bo packed up". Lauren stood suddenly.
"There's a bag in every car, Doctor". Aife smiled.
"I don't need a bag, I hate hospitals and want to come home as soon as possible". Bo said softly.
"Ok. Consider every bag removed". Aife walked outside and personally brought the bags in one at a time.
Lauren walked over to Bo. "Are you okay?
"I'm fine". Bo smiled.
"Good we can show her off anytime, or if you want to go out? Lauren asked.
"I want to do whatever you want to do. Go out? Ok. Stay in? Ok". Bo smiled again. Lauren was being sweet with her concern. But she was always thinking of someone's health. Mostly Bo's since Kara had been born.
"I just…we don't know when it's coming. It could be any minute now or tomorrow." Lauren's voice cracked.
"I will be fine sweetie. We can stay home if it will ease your mind". Bo pulled Lauren to the couch and gently took a seat.
Aife brought Kara over and Bo held her arms out for her. Lauren grabbed some toys and jingled them in front of the baby Succubus. Kara pushed it away and the women laughed.
"She doesn't like that one". Bo laughed.
A light bulb went off in Lauren's head, she stood and came back with a surprise. She shook what she was holding in front of Kara and laughed when she played with it.
"Another future Doctor! Bo smacked herself in the head.
"Hey! Lauren smiled.
"I was only kidding Lauren. You can be whatever you want to be Kara". Bo cooed as she looked up at her.
"You two are hopeless". Aife laughed.
"Yeah? Who has got baby spit clothes to clean? Bo laughed.
Lauren laughed too as Aife's clothes were piled up in a basket waiting to be dry cleaned.
Bo cleared her throat and handed Kara to Lauren.
"I think it's time". Bo sat up as Aife rushed over to help her stand. Her water broke soon afterwards.
"Albert, Stephen! Aife screamed.
The men ran inside. They had been out in the yard making sure the lawn looked fitting for them.
"Easy Bo". Stephen helped her to the car and picked her up to put her inside.
They blew past every car in front of them. Lauren had called ahead and planned for a gurney to be waiting for them.
They rushed Bo inside and the doctors and nurses were ready for the Succubus. Lauren put on scrubs as she walked quickly behind Bo. They were in the delivery room and Bo had Lauren right by her side.
"When the pain hits, squeeze my hand and push! Lauren encouraged Bo. The brunette's eyes went wide when the pain arrived. Holy hell if it did not hurt. Bo's eyes flashed blue as her Succubus took over. It always happened when Bo was in agonizing pain or fear. With one deep breath, she pushed, and the baby was born.
"Awww she's beautiful! Lauren smiled.
"Shhhh..she? Bo panted.
"She! Aife smiled as she looked at the blonde-haired baby. "How do you keep having babies with full heads of hair? The Succubus laughed.
"I'm…. I'm so sorry Lauren". Bo cried.
"What are you sorry for? Lauren asked watching the nurse clean the baby up.
"Ethan". Bo sobbed hard.
"Bo stop. It is okay. We are not done right? Lauren rushed to Bo's side.
"Who's Ethan? Albert asked as he walked in.
"A baby name Lauren picked". Bo wiped her eyes.
"True but that's not the name I have for this baby". Lauren held Bo close as the nurse walked the baby over.
Bo nodded for Lauren to hold her first. The blonde gently sat next to Bo and stared down at their second newborn.
"Well? Bo asked.
"Isadora". Lauren smiled. Aife gasped at the name.
"Huh? Bo asked.
"I adore you Isabeau, so our daughter's name is Isadora". Lauren smiled as she played with the baby.
"That's so sweet! Aife laughed and cried at the same time.
"Bo? Don't you like it? Lauren turned to the stunned woman.
Bo's eyes were flooding with tears. "It's okay". Lauren caught some with her hand.
"It is just that we have been through so much, I never expected you to come up with a name like that". Bo stumbled over her words.
"We have been through a lot and that's what brought her name to mind". Lauren smiled as she gently handed Isadora to Bo.
"It's beautiful Lauren". Stephen stepped close to Aife. The old Succubus was in tears too.
"So, Kara and Dora". Albert smiled.
"No. Kara and Isadora". Lauren demanded softly.
"Okay". Albert bowed to the baby.
Bo smiled at Lauren's insistence. She could not be happier if she tried. But she did need to heal soon but would hold off until they got five of them took turns holding both babies. Bo laughed at how Kara looked at her little sister. Aife, Albert and Stephen gasped at the sight in front of them. They are all a true family now.
Once the baby had been checked and double checked by Lauren, they all prepared for home. The Doctor inside the blonde took a private moment to relish the thought. She had sent many women home with babies before, but now she was going home with two of her own. Their own.
She was not worried about Ethan because she planned on having many babies with Bo. They will be walking symbols of their love forever.
The trio that stood before Bo and Lauren would see to that as well. Guardians. An uncle, a grandfather and a grandmother. The Fae still feared the sight of Aife. A crazy Succubus is always dangerous.
Lauren could not help but tear up when Bo's Succubus took over and delivered their baby. She thought about the time she saved Lauren's life. There is no way she would not do the same or worse to anyone that even thought of threatening or attacking them.
The gang left the mothers and babies so Bo could be cleaned up. Once she was clean, they joined the trio at the exit and were greeted with cheers and awes by the staff. Lauren knew most of them. Possibly all of them. So, she knew the cheers were sincere. Stephen carried bouquets and toys out to the vehicles. Bo was in awe of all of the attention they were getting. She knew it was mostly for Lauren, but still she was touched.
Once everyone and everything was loaded up, they gently sped off for home. Bo sighed when the scent of the house hit her nostrils. They were home. They did not need to worry about making it to the hospital any time soon. She wanted to deliver there in case something went wrong. But what could go wrong with Lauren's babies? She was probably mentally preparing herself for anything to happen and mentally put herself ahead of the game.
Aife, Albert and Stephen had gone out back to give Bo and Lauren as much privacy as they wanted with Kara and Isadora. Aife really was touched how Lauren used her mother's name to name their baby. Even as a tribute to Bo. It took guts for Bo to track down her mother and convince her to return to help her. Now they were all benefitting from that. She exhaled in gratitude. Her life could not be better if she had planned it. Bo grew up to be a loving woman. Something so rare in the Fae world that it even impressed Aife.
They all jumped when music blasted from inside the house.
"What? It is a party is not it? Lauren laughed as she danced holding both babies.
Bo could not get to her phone fast enough to take pictures and record the Doctor's antics with their daughters. Albert, Stephen and Aife joined her snapping photos and narrating their own videos. They danced around and ate for hours before Lauren finally slowed the party down reminding them that Bo needed to heal. Albert and Stephen both said their goodbyes before Lauren pounced on her mate. Having babies together officially made them mates.
Bo and Lauren put off her healing to spend some down time with the girls before they put them to bed. Lauren held Isadora and Bo held Kara. They noted the differences they noticed.
Bo put her head on Lauren's shoulder and sighed. She was a little worn, but she wanted to wait until the kids fell asleep on their own before she retired to bed.
"You need to feed". Lauren whispered.
"No. Not until our babies fall asleep. I can hold out as long as they can". Bo smiled.
"Okay, but if they don't fall asleep soon, we will put them in their cribs so you can heal. They are Succubus remember, they might smell your blood soon". Lauren pointed out.
"Ohhh. I did not think of that. Gross. Okay. Lets go put them to bed and get me fixed up". Bo stood immediately and walked behind Lauren to the nursery.
The kids had been fed and left to fall asleep on their own. Bo smiled at the baby noises again. Lauren grabbed a monitor and held Bo's hand as they walked out of the room and down to their own.
Bo and Lauren decided on a quick shower. Bo did not feed yet. She knew if she did in the shower, it would turn into much more and the babies might need them, and they would miss it. Even with the monitor. Bo blushed thinking of how loud Lauren had become once they discovered she was Fae. Kara and Isadora do not need to hear that. It might spark their Succubus thinking she was in danger. She shuddered at the thought of their kids in distress.
"They will be fine Bo". Lauren spoke softly.
"I know. I just hate the thought of them being stressed about anything". Bo replied.
"Then we will teach them how to deal with stress and everything that comes with this life". Lauren wrapped both arms around Bo.
Bo turned as Lauren readjusted her arms. "I adore you too Lauren Lewis. But you really didn't to name our baby like that for me to know it". She pushed a wet lock behind Lauren's ear.
The women danced to nothing but the air conditioner. The kids were playing from what they could hear on the monitor.
"I love you Lauren". Bo said quietly.
"I know. I love you too". Lauren smiled as they continued to dance. They could do more, but they have a lot going on with two babies as it is.
Lauren bent Bo over and kissed her, hard. The woman moaned at the taste and intensity of the kiss. Lauren pulled back and Bo was still bent backwards when Lauren pulled away from her. The Succubus eyes flashed blue as Lauren allowed her to feed. She could tell it was working because some color came back to Bo's face.
Lauren finally pulled Bo up and the Succubus was panting.
"Bed. Now. Right now". Bo's eyes flashed blue again as they ran up the stairs and jumped on the bed.
