As Czuch approaches the destination, he suddenly hears movement behind him, and slams on the brakes, looking up at the mirror and spying around. After a few seconds, a figure rises up from one of the seats, hands raised in the air to show that he means no harm. Czuch lets out a breath of relief.
"Oh, it's just you, Bunny. Don't scare me like that. How long have you been here?" Czuch asks.
"Just got here, bro. Left my Shadow on your bus after that bank robbery last month, I was just coming to pick it up." Bunny says, and as he says this, Bunny's Shadow comes to life in the seat next to him, waving.
"Alright, well, you missed a lot. Just head back to HQ, I'm sure Mugsy or someone can fill you in on what's been going on." Czuch opens the doors, and Bunny walks off onto the street, with Bunny's Shadow following just behind him. Still tense from the encounter, Czuch closes the doors, and carefully drives the rest of the way to the location indicated by the GPS, which seems to be a burned down fire station. There's a man with fiery hair sitting on the rubble, who Czuch can only assume is Ignis. Czuch makes sure his disguise glasses are on, and steps out of the bus, trying not to seem too conspicuous.
"Oh, hey there!" Czuch says, pretending to offhandedly notice Ignis. Ignis glances up at Czuch, giving him a one-handed wave and not seeming to take particular note of him. Czuch takes a deep breath, and attempts to start up conversation with the man.
"So, you hear about that city-state with the Doop?"
"Well, tell me who's askin' first." Ignis says, raising an eyebrow. Czuch begins to sweat nervously, realizing he can't give Ignis his actual name.
"Uh, um. Chuck." Czuch says, and Ignis shakes his head, smiling.
"What a shame, Chuck. Seems like my target came right to me." Ignis states, as his Stand, Fire Burning on the Dance Floor, begins to activate.
"Hey, wait, that's just a first name! How are you supposed to judge anything based on that?" Czuch says, backing towards the Vengabus.
"That's EXACTLY what a known 'Chuck' would say!" Ignis says, pointing menacingly at Czuch. Czuch gets onto the Vengabus and tries to drive away, but finds that the tires have melted to the ground, which has begun heating up. Czuch peers out the bus window, dangling his keys in the air.
"Don't make me do it!" Czuch calls out, holding his finger over the horn button.
"DO WHAT, CHUCK?" Ignis shouts back, and Czuch presses the button, causing the horn atop the Vengabus to sound, as infinite amounts of dancing old men begin to flood out, their feet never touching the ground long enough to be affected by the heat. Ignis recalls his Stand, taking a step back from the horde of men.
"Hang on, you can't be Chuck! I was specifically told that the Chuck I was supposed to kill did NOT have old man storage!" Ignis says, as Czuch disables the old man spawning.
"Yeah, exactly!" Czuch says.
"Well, if you aren't Chuck, then who ARE you?"
"Uh...Mr. SantaMaria."
"That's a stupid name. Why did you come here, anyways?"
"Just wanted to thank you for helping me with that Doop situation."
"Oh, that's right! That means you owe me a favor now! You're from around here, right?"
"Uh, yeah…?"
"Great. Do you know where a place called the 'World Crime League' is? Or maybe 'The Station'?"
Czuch begins to sweat again, and wipes his brow nervously. However, he realizes that he can use this opportunity to throw his former allies under the bus, while still keeping the WCL safe. He feigns being an ordinary citizen as he responds.
"The Station? Yeah, that's where the cops work. I drive by it every now and then on my routes. Never heard of any 'crime league', though."
"Alright, now we're talkin'. So, where exactly are they?"
Czuch gives Ignis directions to the Station, making sure not to be too detailed that he comes off as suspicious, but not being too vague to make Ignis think he's being dishonest.
"Thanks, man. Sorry about the bus, just had to make sure you didn't escape in case you were the guy I thought you were." Ignis says, before walking away down the street. He casts one last glance at the Vengabus, noticing an icy beetle-like creature skittering under it, but not mentioning this to Czuch. Czuch, meanwhile, gets to work on replacing the tires, since he actually brought spares this time. Once he's done, he gets into the bus and begins driving home so he can change out of his disguise, hoping to report back to the WCL afterwards to tell them about his encounter with Ignis. About halfway there, though, the Vengabus suddenly stalls, and Czuch sees that the fuel gauge reads empty, which is strange because he's literally never run out of fuel before due to the supernatural properties of the Vengabus. Czuch checks the engine, and finds that the fuel seems to have somehow frozen over, while the rest of the engine is completely untouched. He attempts to break the ice with his shoe, but the moment he touches it, he feels a searing sensation, and draws his foot back as the ice begins to rapidly spread across the rest of the engine. Suddenly, a voice crackles through Czuch's bus radio.
"That was real clever, Czuch, but if you thought you'd be getting home safe, you're dead wrong. I know where you are. You're all alone now. There's nobody around to help you. And, well, nobody can escape Born Slippy by themselves. I'll be bringing you in cold."
"Holy hell, Czuch! That sounds intense. What have you gotten yourself into?" says Talking Point, while the ice begins rapidly spreading across the bus and ground, forcing Czuch to start running away on foot, not responding to Talking Point's question.
"Might wanna chill out, haha." Talking Point quips, chasing after Czuch. "Wuh-oh, looks like SOMEONE'S in trouble with some real bad folk!"
The ice is spreading faster than Czuch can run, so it pretty quickly catches up, flash freezing the ground and several nearby buildings.
"Czuch are you even listening? I keep making these funny quips and I don't even get a laugh track."
"This is no laughing matter!" Czuch finally responds, before comedically slipping on the ice, which does actually cause a laugh track to play. As Czuch falls to the ground, the beetle that was clinging to his bus scuttles over to him, latching onto his back. This causes ice to begin spreading over Czuch's body, and as this happens, Czuch notices a man dressed in blue step out of an alleyway down the road, holding a radio and chuckling at Czuch's antics.
"Well, well, Czuch, looks like you may have caught a cold. Since you're as good as dead, I might as well introduce myself. My name's Cryo, and I'm the guy who just killed you." Cryo says, as Czuch struggles to move forwards, slowly being covered in ice.
"Haha, having trouble, Czuch? Real shame you can't just be cool about it." Talking Point chimes in. With what little strength he has left, Czuch squeezes his finger on the horn button on his keys, causing the Vengabus's horn to begin blaring, though no old men can come out due to the doors being frozen shut. Cryo scoffs, laughing in disbelief.
"Does he honestly think that can save him? Eh, must just be some last ditch effort to do anything."
"Haha, yeah, bit of a pickle, huh?" Talking Point chuckles, before whispering to the unresponsive and completely frozen Czuch. "If you can get everyone quiet for a few minutes I can get us out of this."
Czuch of course doesn't respond, the blaring horn being the only sign that he's still alive, and even that is slowly fading out as Czuch's life force begins to trickle away.
"Listen man, I'm trying to help us out, but you gotta stop making so much noise for just a few minutes."
"Hi trying to help us out, I'm Dad!"
"You get quiet too."
Czuch remains unresponsive as the frozen keys fall out of his hand, the horn not stopping despite this.
"That's really too bad, Czuch. I wish I could help, but I need that goddamn horn to stop first, I need to keep it quiet for just THREE MINUTES." Talking Point waits for a little bit, and, finding it to be adequately quiet, activates his Stand, 3-Minute Rule, causing him to go from the size of a point to the size of a lad, as well as making him the center of attention. This notably does not help Czuch in the slightest.
"Haha, see? Was it really so hard to just can it and let me do my thing?" Talking Point boasts, reveling in the attention it's receiving. The moment Talking Point's ego boost wears off, it leaves the area, and Cryo takes Born Slippy off of Czuch's back, causing all of the ice to melt at once, soaking the streets with water as Czuch's corpse falls onto the ground. Cryo casually walks back into the alleyway he came from, pulling out his communication device to report his successful elimination. With Czuch gone, the Vengabus has become an ordinary bus, which has already been relocated back to the WCL headquarters.
