"Ok. What's going on?." Bo asked nervously as she held Kara and Lauren had Dora. The women looked around for some clue.
"She wants to pay off stealing your grandmother's ring. Aife didn't like it." Stephen explained.
"Correction, Aife doesn't like it." The old succubus stared hard at Kenzi.
Kenzi held the money in her hands but kept a tight grip on it.
Kara and Dora were getting increasingly warm in their mothers arms. "Ok. Lauren? Can you hold the both of them?." Bo held Kara out and Lauren took her.
"Kenzi, you can leave. Your money will not be accepted by anyone standing here. You should have thought about all of this before you stole it. Now, before our daughters learn how to chi suck, get out of here." Bo gestured towards the doors.
"You are such an asshole, Bo. I came here in good faith and you can't even back me up on it." Kenzi pocketed her money, shook her head and walked away from all of them.
"I have a family. One day you will grow up and have one of your own. Then you will understand that nothing comes before family. Nothing." Bo spoke and knew her words hit because Kenzi froze at the door.
"Aife. Here. Hold one. It will make you calm down." Lauren handed Kara to the succubus and she took her. Blue eyes looked at the baby like she had never seen a baby before. "Isabeau." Aife smiled.
"Close enough." Lauren smiled.
"Are we good here? I left dinner on the stove and my family needs to eat." Bo looked around the room.
"We're fine. Sorry to bother you ladies." Stephen nodded.
"No it's not a bother. We are a family like I told Kenzi. Mom's succubus is and can be nasty. You did the right thing by calling us." Bo took Dora from Lauren and walked with her. "Easy, easy." She said as she rubbed her back.
"We're going." Lauren whispered as she took Kara from Aife. The succubus nodded and smiled.
"Whew." Bo sighed once they were outside and on the steps. "Let's get all my loves fed and then we can have a family talk." They buckled the babies into their car seats, hugged and climbed inside the car.
Kenzi sat in her car watching them. It's so cute but so fucked up at the same time. She was supporting Bo during all of their ups and downs and when Kenzi was down, Bo was of no support to her. She did smile when Bo held her baby. She probably held her longer than Aife did all the time Bo was still a baby herself. She started her car, put her shades on and pulled off.
Bo and Lauren noticed the twins' eyes were blue again. "She's just driving away, sweets." Bo said over her shoulder.
"We should talk too. After we talk to them, that is." Lauren looked at Bo and the succubus nodded.
The women drove home quickly and slowly at the same time. Bo looked around as she drove. What else can she do about Kenzi? She tried to be as calm and as patient with her as she could be back there. The girl is not living a shit life given how she was dressed but walked into hell literally by going to Aife. She saw Kenzi's note requesting to see Aife. So, it wasn't an ambush but still a mess. She sighed and focused on her car. The women in it, that is. Sure they are babies but they will be women before anyone knows it. That's her focus to co-raise them to be good women. To look out for each other. Speak their feelings. Fight for what they love and want.
Lauren grabbed Bo's hand and squeezed it. The brunette smiled and squeezed back. "I'm fine."
"I know. I just wanted to do that." Lauren smiled. She sighed and blinked a few times. All those years she thought about having a family, now she has one. Not one she ever expected but one she certainly loves. What's even better is her family is literally her life. Everything about everyone is science related. No, she won't put them on a gurney and turn them into frankensteins but she will be sure to keep up with everything about their DNA and bodies. The geek in her jumped and goosebumps soon followed. Then there are the babies. She wishes she could read into their minds. How they have this knowing that something is bothering one of them. That there is danger, no matter how big or small the threat is. Maybe it's just their nature. Their powers. She looked back at them and smiled. They were both sleeping. Good. Good. Dream of angels or whatever babies dream of. Leave the world to mama and mama.
Bo gently pulled into their driveway and parked. "Let's go, babies. Wakey, wakey." She clapped her hands. "Oh shit, don't do that huh?." She laughed when four blue eyes met hers brown eyes.
"Bo." Lauren smiled.
"I'll behave." Bo smiled back. The mothers grabbed their daughters and walked inside. Once they were changed and everyone had been washed up, they sat down to eat. "Mmm this smells good." Bo smiled as she looked into a pot and stirred.
"That it does." Lauren smiled as she put food on the highchairs and the kids kicked and started eating.
"Here you go, mama." Bo put the first plate on the table near Lauren and soon returned with her own.
Lauren ate her food and looked around the kitchen. Bo had been busy with so much. Nothing looked dusty. Nothing smelled bad. Even with twins in the house. If there was ever a mate for Lauren, the woman in front of her is it. Was always it.
She thought back to when she met Bo. She wasn't sure what to say or how to act around her. She was and is obviously beautiful but not conceited or cocky. When she smiled at the blonde, she had her answer. She was sweet. She stared at Lauren with the most childlike eyes she had ever seen. Asked a lot of questions and then when the handcuffs came off, so did that innocence. She almost cried at thinking of Bo pulsing her. She knew what she was doing because she was a succubus herself. While that's not Bo's fault, it was Trick's and everyone else that held that lie. She grabbed Bo's hand from the across the table and kissed it. Bo winked and went back to eating.
She looked up and stared at Lauren. She mentioned a talk. Bo started to wonder what she wanted to talk about. Probably the kids but with Lauren, anything can come up out of nowhere. She shook it off and wiped Kara's mouth with a napkin. "Clean baby is a nice baby."
Lauren laughed. "So, this is what I miss all day?."
"Mostly." Bo smiled.
"You know I could switch days. Take a day off here and a day off there and spend time with them. That way you can work and I can play mama." Lauren smiled.
"You play?." Bo laughed. "But that's a good idea, babe."
"It is. Just let me talk to the staff and make those arrangements first. My patients may not like it, but my time can't be all about them." Lauren sat back in her seat and rubbed her neck.
"I'll fix that, later." Bo smiled.
"I'm fine really. Just thinking." Lauren wiped Dora's mouth and picked up a few crumbs she had dropped. "Big babies."
"They are! Walking and I won't say that word that rhymes with walking because they will probably start that too." Bo's eyes were wide.
"Babies grow, Bo." Lauren smiled.
"I know. But wow, the things they would and will say. I better get a science dictionary." Bo laughed.
"I have five at work and a few in my office here." Lauren pointed towards the back of the house.
"I should have known." Bo smiled and set her fork down.
"I can't help it, you know that." Lauren whispered.
"Why are you whispering and I know that you can't. It's one of many things that I love about you, Lauren. Your dedication to everything that matters to you. Our lives. Strangers lives. You my dear are just amazing." Bo looked like she was ready to laugh again but the blonde knew she meant every word.
The doctor stood up and rounded the table. "Thank you. I love you too." She smiled after kissing Bo.
Bo closed her eyes and soaked in the moment. She will never take any of these moments for granted, again. Lauren's breath was hot against her lips and that was comforting too. Kara and Dora started kicking and laughing and the women had to laugh too. "We haven't forgotten about you." Bo turned around to them.
"Let's get cleaned up and to that talk before they are ready for a short playtime and bed." Lauren suggested as she stood and cleared empty plates and glasses on the table.
"You clear the table and I will clear the highchairs." Bo stood and emptied her glass.
"I got it." Lauren nodded. The women worked fast but thoroughly. Finally, it was time to sit.
"Okay babies. Mama and I need to talk to you. We know you will understand. You are far, far ahead of where anyone would have or could have imagined you to be. Mama and I aren't scolding you or punishing you. We just need you to understand that we can protect ourselves. Grandma wasn't in danger. She was just upset. Something that you will learn happens in life. Now, while we are so proud of how far you have already come, we don't need you to be anything other than babies. Just enjoy your youth while you still have it. No more burning the ground. Innocent people can or could get hurt. You can have your wands and everything else but keep your activities at home where we can monitor you until you are big enough to understand the dangers in it all. Okay?." Bo smiled. Kara and Dora stared at Bo with the darkest eyes. "Okay?." She asked again.
"Bo, you know they can't you know what yet. Just trust that they understand." Lauren squeezed Bo's knee.
"Shucks, I forgot." Bo smacked herself in the head. "Did I leave anything out? Anything else that you want to say?."
"No. You did wonderful. You really did. That's exactly what I would have told them, too. Just be babies. Don't destroy lives that don't deserve it. Don't be evil. Use it all for good." Lauren chimed in.
"See, that's something else, babies." Bo smiled in their direction. Kara and Dora looked back and forth at their mothers. They didn't move much other than that. "Ready to play?." She smiled. Now, they kicked and laughed.
"Ok. Here we go." Lauren helped them off of their seats and off they ran into their playroom.
"Ahhhh." Bo sighed as she leaned back.
"Come here, Bo." Lauren smiled as she patted her lap.
"I'm ok, really I am." Bo took her seat and instantly felt arms wrap around her.
"I love you. I love how you love them. I love how you love me. You don't have to do this alone. Like I said earlier, I will arrange my schedule so that I am with them too. I get a little lonely at work but it doesn't last because I know who and what I am coming home to. A very thoughtful partner and wonderful babies. They will be fine. They won't be raised like you were. To believe they are monsters or evil. They have already shown they can love. That they care. That they know how to be protective. They are ours, not just your responsibility. You are doing wonderfully with them and I am so proud that you have found a career to follow. I want to help you as much as you help me be a doctor. We will get all of this sorted out and find an even better routine as a family. Aife and the boys are always available too and we will be using them soon because I am going to be taking you out on many nights on the town." Lauren squeezed Bo and kissed her again.
"I just want to be better at it. I know it comes with experience." Bo smiled and played with Lauren's hair.
"We can't until they are in bed and that's a few hours from now." Lauren blushed.
"I can wait." Bo kissed the doctor's hands. "Maybe we can play too. Play music. Dance. Do something small but just for us"
Lauren smiled as Bo stood and walked to the cabinet that holds their stereo system. The blonde leaned back and stood. She walked over to the succubus and took her hands. The women sighed into each other's arms. "We are going to be great." Lauren whispered.
"We are." Bo smiled as she rubbed the blonde's back with her hands. "Thank you, Lauren."
"For?." Lauren asked.
"For this. For knowing when I needed reassurance. I am not just helping to raise my daughters, I am helping to raise your daughters too. I don't want to fail you with them and our talk just now helped a lot with that." Bo laid her head on the doctor's shoulder and closed her eyes. Lauren smiled at the moment. Bo is basically sleeping on her shoulder and she deserves to. She felt the woman relax even more into her body. She held her as tight as she could short of hurting her ribs.
Stephen, Albert and Aife.
"Aife, are you ok? Do you need anything?." Stephen asked.
"Can you use your powers and see how many more times she's going to be a pain in our asses?." Aife turned around and faced the younger Fae.
"Sure. Give me a few minutes." Stephen closed his eyes as Albert and Aife waited.
"He'll do the right thing." Albert nudged the succubus. They quietly took their seats and waited in silence. He's trying to help her and he deserves the silence.
"She grows up but that's not for months and months to come. There is no scene with her intruding on anything." Stephen opened his eyes and blinked a few times.
"Good. Good. Now, what are we going to do about the kids? We are grandparents and an uncle between all of us." Aife smiled.
"They will ask for help when needed. Unless you want to see them sooner." Albert smiled.
"Oh, I will always want to see them. Those babies are already doing their crazy ass grandma proud. But, it is up to their mothers when we get to babysit." Aife clapped her hands in glee.
"We will be ready when they need us. We will be looking out for them when they are looking out for the kids." Stephen stood at a small table.
"Let's find a club. I feel like dancing." Aife jumped and grabbed her jacket. Once she checked over her outfit she was out the door before the men were.
Lauren
"Time for bed, my loves." Lauren cooed at Kara and Dora. They laughed and ran to their nursery. Kara waited for Dora to climb into her bed before she laid down. Lauren dropped a tear at the sight. It's something she would have done too. "And I will." She smiled to herself. Once the blankets were snug on the kids, she kissed them, turned the light off and closed the door.
She smiled and sighed. She walked back into the living room and found Bo sleeping on the couch. She smiled and picked her up. "Big baby." She whispered as she carried the succubus to the bathroom, stripped her naked and stood her up in the shower. Bo mumbled something as she rested against the wall. Lauren turned the shower heads on and stripped. Once the temperature was just right, she pulled Bo under the water and bathed her with soap and kisses. Once they were both clean, she dried them off and carried Bo to bed.
Once again, the succubus mumbled something as Lauren laid her in the bed. She looked like the twins in her sleep. She gently climbed in the bed and pulled Bo's head to hers. She closed her eyes and kissed her. Bo's eyes flew open and she closed them again. Moaning at the gentle but passionate movement of the doctor's tongue, she returned the kiss. Lauren pulled back and held Bo as she kissed her all over her face. She flipped the succubus over and kissed all the way down her body until she reached her legs. Looking up at Bo, she moved in between them. Licking her lips once more, she lapped at the succubus as Bo gripped the sheets. She knew it wouldn't be long because Lauren flattened her tongue with every lick. Lingering there for seconds as she kept eye contact with Bo. Pushing back, she pulled Bo with her as she placed her knees on the floor at the foot of the bed. Bo released the sheet and blanket and allowed the movement. Before she knew it, the blonde had her legs over her shoulders and devoured her at an angry but strong pace. She gritted her teeth and moaned when the doctor moved her whole tongue from side to side pushing in when she reached the middle with every movement of her head. Popping her lips, she stopped and pushed her tongue in and out. Bo covered her mouth as she came hard. She gasped when Lauren picked her up again. "Now we can try that in the shower too." Blue eyes met brown as she carried the succubus on her shoulders and back to the bathroom. Bo shuddered as blue eyes met hers again and she had nothing to hold onto except for Lauren's hair and the shower walls.
