With the threat dealt with, Shamazon is able to head to a cave deep within the forest, where he deposits the sack of dragon food before leaving. As Shamazon turns around, he sees Dale wandering aimlessly, and catches him as he trips on a root and nearly dies. Only in this moment does Shamazon realize that Dale is, in fact, an intruder to the Painforest, but before Shamazon can act on this, Dale frees himself from Shamazon's clutches and runs deeper into the jungle, eventually coming across the big pin tree. Dale climbs into the lower branches of the pin tree, while Shamazon looks around the area, trying to find where he went. As Shamazon reaches the base of the pin tree, he comes across Dirnum, another of the flora researchers in the Painforest, who seems to be currently observing the pin tree and its strange properties.
"Did you see a goggled man coming through here?" Shamazon demands.
"Um…no, sorry, if there was anyone like that, I was probably too absorbed in my work to notice." Dirnum offers meekly, and Shamazon sighs and shakes his head. However, Dale seems to have noticed Shamazon being nearby, and starts to run away rapidly after dropping to the ground, unable to even see where he's going due to the sloshing of his melty eyes. Shamazon spots Dale, and quickly takes chase.
"What the fuck dude, where are you taking me?!" asks chase.
"Trust me, it's important." Shamazon says, before throwing chase in Dale's direction, listening for the distinct sound that chase makes upon crashing into people named Dale.
B-TWANG!
Dale is nailed by chase right in the import bone, and Shamazon follows the noise immediately. Due to his damaged import bone, Dale is forced to use his export bone instead, which is twice as slow, meaning Shamazon is easily able to catch up. Shamazon leaves chase behind as he closes in on Dale, but Dale thinks fast and uses his last resort technique of scooping a globule of liquid eyeball from his goggles and hurling it at Shamazon, which is successful in grossing out Shamazon enough to slow him down and give Dale some extra time to find an exit. Unfortunately, it proves to have been for naught, as Dale trips over Mildly Developed Vertebrate, and Shamazon is soon able to tackle Dale and pin him to the ground, apprehending him and bringing him to the Time-Out Box outside of the Painforest, where he will remain until he dies, repents, or is picked up by a cop, whichever comes first. Unexpectedly, though, Dale takes a long nap first, which the Time-Out Box was not anticipating. After this nap is over with, Dale calls the non-emergency line to be picked up. On the other end is a suspicious sounding individual.
"Hello, this is Super-Sonic Igor. You call the non-emergency line. What is your non-emergency?"
"I need to be picked up from this damned box, pronto."
"You need pick up? We pick up. We be there soon."
Dale presses the wait button a few times, and an unmarked van pulls up outside of the time-out box and unlocks it from the outside.
"Are you here to pick me up?" Dale asks. The shady figure inside of the van looks out at Dale.
"Yes, we do pick up. You do not pick where we take. This is acceptable terms?"
"Sure, just get me outta here."
The van's door opens, and Dale hops inside as it slams shut behind him.
"So, are you a police officer?" Dale inquires.
"No, but I make office policy. Is close enough, yes?"
"Yeah, close enough." Dale watches as Super-Sonic Igor drives past the edge of town and the edge of the road, bypassing the boundaries of the loaded map altogether and ending up in a completely unloaded area.
"We get out here." Igor says, and the door opens, releasing Dale from the van. Dale excuses himself to relieve his motion sickness, and then observes the shittily-textured area around him, before returning to Igor.
"What is this, why does everything look like geometric clown vomit?"
"This is safe place, nobody find you here."
"I don't really need to be hiding right now."
"And yet you were in time out?"
"I just got caught trespassing, nobody will recognize me anyways."
"Well, is too late now."
"What is there to do in this place?"
"Anything can be possible here. Nobody here to stop you from do what you want."
Dale projects astrally outwards, causing him to enter a transitional state of observation while waiting for the necessary processing power to become available to complete the astral projection.
Back in the Painforest, now that things are calmed down, Shamazon goes to confront Gongor again.
"Did anything else of note happen while I was out?"
"Enkler and Harrdy are currently investigating what seems to be a very slow-falling meteor, but frankly I don't see what's so impressive about it, it just looks like any other rock."
"Ah, so that's where those two are. I was wondering why they conveniently seemed to be the only researchers on duty who I didn't run into yet today. You're right, though, that doesn't sound like something I need to get involved with."
In the distance, Enkler can be seen jumping high above the trees to try and reach the meteor, with the assistance of both his own gravity-lowering Stand, Man on the Moon, and Harrdy's trampoline-like Stand, Fly me to the Moon. Shamazon just watches this for a few seconds, before turning his attention away and back over to Gongor.
"It seems like we have everything under control, then. So I suppose it is back to business as usual."
Gongor nods and salutes, and returns into the Painforest to resume his research.
Dale finishes his astral projection session, and looks around, seeing that Igor has now left the van and is clipping through the ground to access a chest full of normally inaccessible dev items.
"Hey, how'd you know those were here?" Dale says, having followed Igor out of curiosity.
"I read guide online." Igor responds simply.
"Well, with those kinds of items, you're basically a god. What are you going to do with them?"
"This place is not one of a kind. I sell most of these for very good money, keep the rest for myself."
"Can't you use them to fix this place up a bit?"
"Would alert them, we do not want them know we are here."
"That probably wouldn't be a problem if you just held onto the dev tools."
Igor seems to consider this statement for quite a bit, but it seems he is actually just lagging really badly due to his connection temporarily cutting out. Dale stops moving so that less lighting updates are caused on Igor's end, but when Igor is properly reconnected, he finds that his inventory has been rolled back, and the dev items are no longer there.
"Can I leave now? My crust allergy is flaring up." Dale says.
"Yes, but you can not tell any about this."
"Alright, see you around." Dale exits the unloaded area and begins the long trek home. Igor, left alone, suddenly notices the textures beginning to load in, indicating that the devs have found him. Before Igor can escape, he gets booted out of the premises, and rage quits in frustration.
