Within the World Crime League's headquarters, Cybr has finished using the walker to "upgrade" El Diablo and make him more easily capable of walking around. Just as Cybr finishes this upgrade, Camryn returns to the building as well, carrying several bags of groceries from EsMachinaburg, notably including a large amount of Raisin Bran. After dropping off the groceries, Camryn walks downstairs to talk to good ol' trustworthy Mugsy and get caught up to speed on what happened while she was gone. Camryn waves to Mugsy to get his attention once she's in the basement.

"Hey, what's the deal with the police upstairs?"

"I dunno, I guess they work here now for some reason. Like, work in this building, not work for us." Mugsy shrugs.

"Ok." says Disco John, making his presence known.

"Who is that?" Camryn asks.

"Disco John." Disco John says.

"You work here?"

"Uh, no."

"Dang."

"Why ya say dang? Should I get a job here?"

"Maybe, but it's more just that you not working here means you can't really be of any assistance in catching me up to speed." Camryn ignores Disco John, and heads back upstairs, planning to ask the police officers. However, she finds that someone is on the intercom from the door, which she wasn't even aware was a system that was installed in this building. From outside, loss averter requests entry to the building. Camryn decides that there is nothing wrong with letting this entity in, so she opens the door, and loss averter, covered in gooey marshmallow stuff, walks inside, tracking a fair amount of goo with it like a snail trail. Camryn watches loss averter walk to the stairs and begin to ascend them, seemingly with a goal in mind. Camryn follows loss averter up the stairs, all the way until it reaches the floor where Cybr is, at which point it abruptly stops and begins to make strange noises. Cybr ignores the entity, letting its call play out entirely, after which point loss averter simply stares silently at Cybr. Camryn walks past loss averter to talk to Cybr and El Diablo herself, having used her incredible deduction skills to identify both of them despite their altered appearances.

"Once again, I will be heading out for a while to continue my investigation on a new phenomenon known as 'Partially Unnamed Persons', or PUPs for short. It seems like there's been a large spike recently of people who choose to use their occupation or descriptors of themselves as their name, which may be an indication that another large crime organization is on the rise. It likely isn't actually any big deal, but just in case, I felt I should let you know before leaving. Bye." With that, Camryn slinks back past loss averter, and exits the building altogether. Cybr looks over to El Diablo for help with getting loss averter off of the premises, and El Diablo swiftly uses his Stand to send loss averter out the window, causing it to land with a satisfying splat on the pavement outside. loss averter gets up and runs off to buy more marshmallows, intent on concealing its true appearance. Once this short errand is completed, loss averter returns to the WCL's door, and vocalizes over the intercom while standing still. Nobody comes to answer the door, but that does not stop loss averter from continuing this action.

In Costa Brava's fourth most popular library, Grarg materializes to return his long overdue book. The nasty mean old librarian, Librarin, leers at Grarg as he approaches her.

"It's about time, young man, that tome there's been overdue for ten years!"

"I'm sorry, I've been locked in the basement this whole time." Grarg apologizes.

"A likely story. Your parents will hear about this one." Librarin snatches the book back, while Grarg scours the premises for its sequel. Librarin keeps her watchful gaze trained on Grarg throughout his explorations of the library, watching as he eventually finds a copy of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules tucked away in the adult section.

"Literature is the highest form of art." Grarg remarks with a smile.

"Agreed." Librarin says. As Grarg goes to check the book out, though, Librarin stops him. "You have yet to pay the late fee, young man. You'll have to do that before I let you check out any more books from here."

"What's the late fee?" Grarg says, worried for his life.

"You must spend ten years in the basement."

Grarg realizes how difficult this will be, since Rodrick Rules has four less pages than the first book. Librarin waggles the key to the basement in front of Grarg, and Grarg tries to leave the library with the book, but takes a wrong turn and ends up right where Librarin wants him: the basement.

"Oh shoot! I left Manuel in the oven!" Grarg exclaims, realizing that the situation has just become a lot more urgent. Grarg bangs on the locked basement door, and Librarin's voice responds.

"If you want to get out, you'll need to return the book you have with you."

"I will return it! Let me out!"

"How do I know you won't just grab it and run off again, mischievous little brat?"

"I pinky promise, I won't take the book with me." Grarg sticks his pinky through the keyhole, and Librarin shakes it to complete the Pinky Pact. Librarin then opens the door, and Grarg, not knowing the consequences of breaking a Pinky Pact, sneakily puts both books under his shirt and rushes out the front door to head home and take Manuel out of the oven. Grarg arrives just a little too late, with Manuel coming out slightly burnt, but he still consumes Manuel with no watercress salad as he rereads the first Diary of a Wimpy Kid book to refresh himself on the series. While Grarg relaxes in the moment, he knows little of the immense danger coming towards him due to his broken promise, and with his address publicly available on a Halloween decoration forum, he isn't exactly hard to track down. The scraping of metal on pavement can be heard, as a hooded figure drags a menacing axe alongside him, a clear destination in mind as they traverse the streets of Costa Brava.
