What to expect in this chapter: In this chapter Gregory and friends head for Monty's Golf to save the last of the Glamrock Animatronics, despite a mishap in the Daycare that got him stuck, and Chica gets suspicious on the wind up presents that Gregory and Freddy found all over the Pizzaplex.
Chapter 8- Golfing FOUR Monty's rescue
"Uh Sun? Did you see where Gregory went off too?" Freddy asks Sun in concern as he looks around the main floor of the Daycare. He was hoping that once Gregory's naptime was over they could get started with trying to free Monty from Vanny's control. But upon coming back from recharging, it seems Gregory had ventured away from where he and Moon were hanging out near the playground cages for the duration of the nap.
Sun clasps his hands over the top half of his head, making his rays push down for a moment before responding, "Gregory is still in the Daycare. He must be playing hide and seek I think." Freddy trusts Suns intuition in keeping track of the kids, especially when there is always a chance they accidentally wander off from their trusted guardians line of sight. Something must have gotten the boys attention to make him venture away from Sun and Moon if it was really that important.
Five seconds later after Sun gestures to a little red roof playhouse with a yellow door and green sidings thanks to the heat sensors Sun has, there was Gregory with a sour frown on his face. His head was sticking out from inside one of the holes in the door, luckily he was positioned outside of the playhouse and not inside. Gregory begs as soon as he sees Freddy and Sun coming to find him while he is trying to get his head out in vain. "Freddy? Sun? Don't ask. Just get me out of this thing!"
Freddy's eyes grew wide in surprise. He usually sees Gregory going through small places like the vents with no problem, but to see him get stuck in something as silly as a playhouse was indeed odd. He had to hold in his quiet laughter and not crack his lips into a smile if only to not humiliate the boy further. "Are you stuck Superstar?" Freddy asks simply while Sun starts walking over to study Gregory's predicament.
Gregory was silent for a few seconds, trying to decide if he should just tell them the truth or once again remind them not to ask him how he got into trouble this time. It was humiliating enough to get caught like this, but at least it was just Freddy and Sun who found him. He would have been so screwed if he was stuck while Vanny was after him. "...Yes. I am stuck." He admits reluctantly.
"How did you even get your head in there?" Sun questions as he is trying to find a good angle to ease Gregory's head out. Freddy found this amusing as he tries to study how Sun could easily maneuver Gregory's head out of the hole without damaging the whole thing.
It wasn't the first time that Sun and Moon would have to do this sort of thing. Quite a number of times, one of the kids would either get their arms stuck inside the play structures and can't get themselves back out, sometimes they did the opposite with the legs too. On accident or on purpose. There was even one time when a kid was jumping on the bridge that his foot got caught on the rope and he had to hang around for one second before Sun came to the rescue and untie it. At least that doesn't happen often in the Daycare, but when it does the Daycare Attendant has to be prepared for anything.
Gregory sighs. "Well I was trying to catch mini DJ! And as you can see I poked my head a little too far in here." That made Freddy laugh accidentally while Sun just looks at Gregory for one moment in mild confusion.
"And may I ask why mini DJ was there?" Sun questions while he studies how best to get the boy out. It would be impossible to push the rest of his body out of the door. Cartoon physics don't work well in real life. And he is not sure if Gregory will handle having his face being pushed out, but the boy has been through worse than this and this situation is just a minor one. Perhaps they have to saw the door for a bit and break it apart? But would Sun be willing to even go that far to ruin one of his toys for the kids. To be fair, he doesn't have to wreck the whole playhouse in order to free Gregory from being stuck, he is only stuck to the door.
"He attempted to steal one of the prizes I found around the Pizzaplex, a Foxy plush doll from my duffle bag where all the other prizes are stored." Gregory explains as he feels Sun's fingers moving in spider fashion to find an opening in the door to slide his head out.
"...Okay..." Sun nods his head slowly, rather awkwardly as he tries to slip his fingers inside of the hole Gregory got stuck in. "I'm going to either try to pull your head out or I'm going to have to push the edge of the window so that you can slip out of there. But I don't want to cause you anymore pain than you have already suffered."
"Do not hold back in trying to get me out of here Sun." Gregory waves it off like it is no big deal and gets to the point. "I have been shoved, bruised, scratched, pounded, and all of that nonsense. Give it your all in getting me out of here! Better yet, use this to your advantage in venting your anger on me for turning the lights off!" Freddy breaks out into a laugh at the mention of venting as he remembers the joke he tried to pull on Gregory long ago about it. Sun turns his head in a exorcist fashion in order to glare at the bear, making him be quiet while he works.
Freddy turns his head away from the event as he hears series of grunts and winces coming from Gregory while Sun is getting him out of the playhouse window off screen. A few minutes later Sun managed to successfully get Gregory out of there, the playhouse door however met a more unfortunate fate as Sun decided to just wreck the thing and make a note of getting a new one in place of it. "The next time you gather up some money Gregory, please set that aside for the new door and a new bed for your naptime." Sun mentions this to the boy as soon as he broke the door in half to free him. Gregory looked sadly at the wrecked door on the side while rubbing his neck as he turns to Sun in concern to which he responds. "I can always get another door for the playhouse, what I can't get is another new friend to play with."

(Skipping ahead to Monty's Golf)
"Which mini game do you think fits best with Monty Freddy?" Gregory asks out of curiosity so that he can zero in on playing the game once he sees it. They were now arriving at Monty's Gator Golf and an advertisement of the area could be heard in the distance, welcoming its new guests and saying it is closed for the night.
"Usually whenever we have a break in between our concerts, I always see Monty wanting to just hang out in his mini golf section of the Pizzaplex." Freddy replies with certainty. The question of whether the virus controlling Monty is in the video game arcade he hides in there or if the mini golf itself will be the key to the gators freedom is unknown to Freddy.
Unfortunately once they found one of the arcade games in the jungle and swamp themed golf course, the item they wanted to play with looked like someone had vandalized it, breaking the screen, the controllers were busted and the constant noise of static could be heard coming from it. Chica, who was following right behind the duo covers her mouth in shock at the treatment the game went through while Roxy shakes her fist in anger at the thought. "Someone is trying to sabotage our plan of rescuing Monty." Roxy growls softly in annoyance of the situation.
"What do you suppose we do now to save Monty Freddy?" Gregory asks as he turns to the bear for advice. Freddy appears to be looking intently around the location, spying something on the outskirts of Monty's Golf that caught his attention. He walks over to a set of vines acting like a curtain next to the ticket booth and breathes out a sigh of relief. There was hope yet for Monty after all.
"We still have this special location for minigolf, I believe I can feel something good will happen in here." Freddy said as he gestures for the others to come take a look, noticing them widening their eyes in surprise and awe. Once they step inside, Freddy leads Gregory over to the first mini golf course while choosing a bright blue ball to putt with. "Okay Superstar, all you just need to do is get into position and get the golf ball into the hole. If you can get the ball to the hole with the least amount of swings you will be able to find some clues to get Monty out of Vanny's control."
"How low do you think I should go?" Gregory asks curiously with one eyebrow raised upward.
"It varies depending on the golf games, but I would say 55 or less." Freddy replies as he helps Gregory get into position for his first mini golf hole.
The first hole was pretty easy, a simple pathway with the theme of Monty's Golf echoing in the stereos and moss and vine covered trees. A hissing alligator could be heard in the distance, but Gregory kept his cool to not be frightened about it. At the end of the hole he could see the four Glamrocks on stage, with Freddy slightly further away from the other three. Going for a strong stroke from the golf club, the boy managed to get a hole in one pretty easily.
The second hole has its theme inspired by Freddy Fazbears Pizza. It had a checkered floor with some tables to the side and a large stage in the middle with the lights glowing yellow, purple and orange to highlight the predecessors of the Glamrocks, with Foxy standing to the side behind the hole itself. It took Gregory three strokes to get the ball into the hole. The first stroke got him close to the ramp but the ball slid down a notch. In the second one he got over the ramp, but the ball stops a few inches from the hole. The third stroke finishes it.
The third holes theme set is based on the Toy Animatronics with a hallway leading to the office. The walls had posters of the Toy Animatronics with plastic pizza decorations. In the middle Gregory spotted the hole with two cupcake pendulums and two pipes that act as shortcuts to the end. The end of the hole looked a little strange to the boy, but it looks like a miniature version of an office desk as well as two shortcut pipes that act as vents. The first stroke, Gregory aimed for the walls to bounce his hole close to the pipe. He used his second stroke to make the ball fly through the pipe and land in the hole, earning what Roxy calls a birdie.
The fourth hole Gregory couldn't get the design as he wasn't familiar with the layout being mentioned from his museum visit with Chica. As Freddy explains that the hole took inspiration from the vent repair rooms, having a very industrial-like appearance with multiple vents and pipes littering the walls. The middle held a large fan that he should take care to avoid when playing golf. But the end of the hole made Gregory question in his thoughts why the employers thought it was a good idea to put Mangle at the end just standing idlily by and staring at the players. Gregory swings a little too strongly for the first stroke, causing the ball to fly across the field and fall off the course near Mangle. Chica had to quickly get the ball back to him. He tries again to swing it with a good stroke, not as strong as the first one but the ball got close to the hole where he finishes it with stroke number three.
The fifth hole almost made Gregory's mouth water based on the sweet theme with all the heart shaped lollipops, regular lollipops, candy canes, ice cream and cake around the location. The floor of the hole had Chica's face on a carpet in arcade style. In the middle were two rotating cakes with gaps in the bottom for the hole to go through. At the end of the hole sits a strange pink cupcake with two eyes, two buck teeth and a small birthday candle on its head.
"I don't think I have seen that cupcake before." Gregory mentions to Glamrock Chica as he prepares to get into position for the golf game. Chica briefly informs him that the cupcake known as Mr. Cupcake is a special mascot that her predecessor always had with her to show to the kids. He wondered to himself why the older Chicas had the cupcake while Glamrock Chica didn't. Maybe because she was a rockstar and she is not supposed to have food close by to the guitars and stuff. Getting back to the golf game, Gregory did a strong swing of the golf club to get the ball passing by the revolving cakes without bumping into any corners with the ball a few inches away from the hole. The second stroke finishes the hole in no time.
The sixth hole surprisingly gave Gregory a small jumpscare as he notices two large statues of Circus Baby in a hallway on the left and right with glowing static walls, below them lining up in a row were plush dolls of the animatronic. In the middle of the hole was a large crusher and at the end appeared to look like a bedroom with Circus Baby peeking out from the closet. But the standing around part didn't scare him, it was when he got closer to it with his golf ball, Baby's face opened up to show its mechanical features underneath before closing back up again. Something about that bedroom felt familiar to Gregory, but he couldn't understand why he had a strange sense of deja vu. He got the golf ball in the hole with only two strokes, one of them he barely dodged the miniature bedroom.
The seventh hole is probably Gregory's personal favorite out of the others since it is based on the Superstar Daycare with star patterned floors, cloud and rainbow decorations, and the statues of Sun and Moon are rotating around the hole, both idlily standing in their poses. The hole appeared to be protected by circular blockades. Gregory studied the position of the blockades and aimed one stroke to get the ball inside the smaller blockade by using the outer one to help guide it there. He finished the hole with stroke number two.
Hole number eight is a close second favorite as Gregory could see all the different colors of balloons, some single ones and some in a pair floating around the location. There were even some balloons that had pictures of the Glamrocks faces on them. Under the balloons was a ball-pit, which Gregory thought was in the wrong place since the Daycare had a ball-pit and the balloons shouldn't have it. But he realizes later why the ball-pit is in this particular spot because he spotted Balloon Boy popping out from there on occasion. He didn't really like the other version of him that looked like it came out of a nightmare. Taking a big risk in getting close to the hole from far away, he gave a strong swing, avoiding the other obstacles and heading straight for the hole. He was thankful he didn't accidentally lose the ball as it flew across the field, stopping only a few inches away from the hole. He finished the hole with a birdie.
The ninth hole brought Gregory back to the giant stage and it made him tense up in fright as he saw what happened to Freddy. He wasn't on stage anymore... He was in the dumpster instead while a hologram of Monty took the front stage with Roxy and Chica performing next to him. "Freddy? What is going on here?" He questions in concern as he stops golfing for a moment to examine why the stage is like this. He wasn't the only one concerned about it, Freddy, Chica and Roxy were worried too judging by the look on their faces.
"I-I don't know Superstar." Freddy exclaims in horror. He was tempted to try to take his copy back up on stage, but he wondered if that would be a trap waiting to strike. "This is not like Monty at all."
"Don't let those disgruntled employers get to you Freddy!" Roxy reassures him with a hand on his shoulder. "They must have done this as a means of propping Monty up when they know you are the main star of the show!"
"It could also be that Vanny is trying to scare you guys into thinking she will get rid of you and replace you with Monty, like what happened with Bonnie." Chica issues another theory to the reason why the stage is there in the first place.
"But isn't it true that Monty had something to do with Bonnie's disappearance?" Gregory questions lightly as he remembers reading about that topic in his faz-watch. It was obvious wasn't it that the stage signified Monty's jealousy of Freddy? Freddy, Chica, Bonnie, Foxy and Roxy were always the fan favorites while Monty is considered the outsider. Gregory also knew that his friend Cassie likes Roxy as her favorite while his is Freddy. Sun and Moon are his second favorite in the lineup. He didn't know how it all adds up, but if he works on getting Monty to snap out of it, he could get some answers.
"Thats the thing Hot Shot, we don't know what is real and what is not." Roxy shakes her head sadly at this information. "How about you finish up the game, then we will deal with Monty." Gregory resumes his game and got the hole done in two strokes, earning another birdie. Overall his score total was nineteen strokes.
Just as they believe that the game was done, Gregory could hear something in the distance opening up to reveal another secret door next to the stage. "Woah! Where do you think this leads guys?" Briefly as he walks closer to the door while collecting his golf ball he could see a glow in the dark sign that said The Back Nine Holes. Now things with mini golf got more curiouser and curiouser.
"I don't think we should go there Gregory. Those Back Nine Holes are not ready for the customers yet. They are still under construction." Chica warns him lightly as she looks to Freddy for advice on how to convince the boy to stay away.
"Oh come on, I am only going to take a little peek." Gregory teases while raising his eyebrows up and down for a good measure. "Maybe we still need to do some extra holes to save Monty." He steps inside the door to see what else the Gator Golf had to offer with the animatronics following after him.
The first hole in this one had a simple ramp downwards that is blocked off by a rotating gear-like structure blocking the pathway to the other side. Leading up to that gear is a small pipeline running above the course, but it is also leaking steam. Below the course is a stream of water, and by the look of things there was Glamrock Endo heads and the S.T.A.F.F. bots, but they appear to not be of the friendly sort. These ones look like they belong in a nightmare.
Not feeling intimidated by the hole in the slightest, Gregory gets into position to time his swing right with the rotating gear. He managed to dodge the rotating gear pretty easily and watches as the ball rolls a little ways down the ramp. Just as he was prepared to walk to where his ball went to, he could see something in the water stream was moving furiously underneath. He could briefly see a shadow hiding in there.
"Your in big trouble now!" Monty's voice calls out to the boy as the gator animatronic springs out from the water to try to grab him. Freddy races to shield Gregory and throw Monty off by slamming into him. They almost careened off the golf course as the gator and bear are fighting for control of the battle.
"Freddy!" Gregory was just about ready to abandon the golf course to help Freddy, but Chica holds him back while Roxy races over to give Freddy a hand in fighting off against the crazed gator.
"Freddy would want you to keep going through the golf course to save Monty Sweetie." Chica states lightly as she redirects Gregory back to the golf course, despite him struggling to get out and help his friend. "He and Roxy will be alright. All they will do is keep Monty busy." Gregory didn't want to leave his new friends to fend for themselves, but he swallows his anxiety aside and tries to focus on the rest of the game, finishing the hole with his second stroke.
The second hole interestingly is inspired from Fazer Blast with multiple lit up pillars and walls. Behind the walls are cutouts of the Glamrocks in space gear with a large model rocket shop and a giant sign with the Fazer Blast logo. In front of the hole is a rotating platform, and Chica explains to Gregory that the platform will drop the player in a random spot around the hole, on this platform are multiple small walls that glow and above the center of the hole is a glowing purple orb with multiple leglike protrusions stretching outwards. He manages to get the course completed in two swings.
The third holes theme is inspired by Roxy's Raceway with multiple stonelike structures that are usually seen in the raceway, as well as holding a sign with Roxy's decal for the raceway. In between Roxy's flags is the hole that is actually a pipe which will lead the golf ball directly to the hole. The walls and tunnel of the hole are glowing purple, much to Gregorys distaste of the color choice. He had to complete the hole in three swings.
The fourth hole is themed after Monty's Gator Golf and Gregory had to start on a platform set in the middle of the river with two alligator heads chomping up and down. According to Chica, the river will constantly push the golfers ball forward toward the hole which is set on the side of the hill. He finished the hole in three swings though this doesn't give him comfort as his thoughts were wandering to how Freddy and Roxy were doing in keeping Monty at bay.
The fifth hole continues the theme of the last course. Gregory could spot the hole he has to get to is sitting on a small hill located in the middle that he must carefully maneuver the ball to. The water around the course seems to be glowing purple as well as a large chandelier above the hole. The floating cupcake pinatas were giving Gregory the creeps, especially the giant one behind him with its glowing purple eyes. Surprisingly he managed to get the course done in two swings, whether this was because he was getting anxious over the creepy cupcakes or not he was just glad to get out of there quickly.
Gregory was thankful the sixth hole tones down on the creepiness he was getting from the last course. It went for a pizza theme this time. The floor was styled like the cheese of the pizza with the walls being the brown crust. Sitting outside the hole are multiple monitors that are displaying banners for the pizza while underneath the hole had lots of giant pizzas. Chica warns that this hole will try to trick him as it has a few fake holes that will try to knock him out of bounds and make him start over. The purple neon pizza signs and the pizza slices swirling above the hole made Gregory narrow his eyes in disgust of the color. What is it with the color purple for some reason? It took him five tries to get into the right hole.
The seventh hole was unfamiliar to Gregory as the hole is inspired by Foxy's Log Ride. He even asked Chica what the whole thing was about, learning that players can be armed with a cannon on the ride and shoot targets in each gallery themed around Foxy being either a cowboy traveling the wild west to fight against bandits or the pirate ride where he hunts down the kraken. The hole starts with a ramp and a pipe next to it that will be used as a shortcut. The course also had running water, but it has multiple logs and rocks acting as the blockade. Above the hole is a track with one of the log boats from the log ride inside it. It took him three swings to finish the course, making a note of maybe sometime trying to locate the real deal and find some clues about Foxy there.
The eighth hole is pretty much a tunnel with blocky obstacles that lead to a dimly lit platform with the entire hole covered in glitchy purple texture that Gregory is not familiar with. The only props were large servers sitting off at a distance with floating wireframes of a music note and arcade cabinet. "Okay, what is it with all of that purple color in these courses?!" Gregory rants in annoyance at the employees choice of color.
"I actually have no idea Sweetie. But you are right in saying the purple is over excessive in these courses, but I don't know what the meaning behind the purple is." Chica says in agreement with the boy. "Thankfully we don't have to see them ever again now that we are getting close to the finish." The distant sounds of Freddy, Roxy and Monty fighting in the background was getting nerve-racking, prompting Gregory to hurry up and finish before the gator decides to come in and finish the job. It took him three strokes to finish the course.
Finally the last hole was within sight. Inspired by the Daycare, it had a bumpy and curvy layout with the ball pit surrounding the hole as well as the swirling colorful slide. After studying the layout, Gregory swings the golf ball on top of the colorful slide right toward the hole for a hole in one just before he heard Monty growling in the distance and running straight for him. Chica manages to stop Monty from getting near the boy by using her screeching ability to render him immobile as Gregory recounts how many pars he got in total. 24 for the Nine Black Holes and nineteen for the regular golf course. It made 43 strokes in all.
He and Chica could hear Monty jolting as if getting electrocuted, briefly shutting down for one moment asleep while standing up before his system restarts again. Blinking his eyes in confusion Monty shakes his head as if he was hungover from a late night party. "Huh? What the faz is going on around here!? How'd I even get here- Chica? Freddy? Roxy?" Gregory could see in the distance that Roxy and Freddy were joining the group once again, they briefly had some small cuts and dents in their arms and legs from the claws. Feeling relieved that Freddy was okay, Gregory runs over to the bear to hug his legs.
"Monty! You are back to normal!" Chica says with a grateful smile on her face. "Your not under the viruses control anymore. Oh, I am so happy to have everyone back to normal!"
Monty rubs his head as if he knocked his head on something while staring at his friends with a questioning look. "I swore I thought I was back in my room a second ago..." How he managed to get all the way over here, he didn't know what was going on. He notices the dents and scratch marks on Freddy's arms and winces in pain. "Did I do that to you Fazbear? I promise, whatever I did to get myself on thin ice, I don't know what the faz I was doing."
"You were hacked by Vanny and when that happened you were not acting quite like yourself Monty." Freddy explains. "Luckily Gregory and I figured out how to snap you out of it by just playing some mini golf. Roxy, Chica and Sun and Moon had a similar situation too." The bear then explains silently to the gator of what was really going on while he was hacked.
Monty grinds his sharp teeth as if ready to snap at any moment after hearing the full explanation. "I don't know who this Vanny is you are talking about Fazbear, but whoever it is, this persons sick twisted game of using us is going to pay! They better pray that I don't find them!"
"First things first though, we better get you to Parts/Services so that you are protected from further hacking." Freddy reassures as Monty was studying Freddy's new attributes he has never noticed on his leader of the band.
"Why do you have those silly S.T.A.F.F. bot eyes, and their hands Fazbear? And what is going on with your voicebox? There is a little bit of you speaking but there is also a bit of the S.T.A.F.F. bots speaking through you too." Monty points out in confusion.
Freddy briefly explains with a sigh, "They started malfunctioning and I sent Gregory here to fetch me some new eyes, voicebox and claws. The closest things he could find were in Sun and Moon's room."
Monty laughs lightly as he turns his gaze to Gregory who was still hugging Freddy's legs. "Is that so? By the way Rockstar, thank you for getting me back to my senses. If ya need some place to chill like my golf course, I am your guy. I will assist in whatever way I can." He demonstrates a fist-bump by closing his hand and gestures for the boy to give a fist-bump to him as the start of their new friendship.
While Monty went back to talking with Freddy, something inside of the last mini golf course caught Gregory's attention as he notices a familiar wind up lever that is attached to the prize boxes he finds in the Pizzaplex. It was hiding just behind one of the small palm tree plants at the end of the mini golf course as he brushes one of the leaves out of the way for a closer look. The prize box appears to have grey hooks with the blue waves for the design. A dark red bow was on the top. Thinking that this is just the usual routine of finding a special prize in the box, he starts to turn the lever clockwise until the prize box pops open, showing not just one plush doll of Freddy, but one of Chica and oddly enough a Bonnie doll and a Foxy doll. The Bonnie and Foxy plush dolls were the Glamrock versions as Gregory studies the red jumpsuit with a yellow star in the middle and purple high neck collar on Bonnie. Foxy seems to have dark shorts with bright orange stars on and a orange vest and leggings. His red curly hair on top of his head and tail looked bushy and his eyepatch had a orange star. A piece of paper falls off the backside of the fox doll as Gregory carefully gathers the dolls in his arms and races to Freddy. "You are not going to believe this Freddy, but I found four plush dolls of you and Chica along with one for Bonnie and Foxy in the same box!" He excitedly states as he asks for the duffle bag to stuff his new items inside.
"This must be your lucky day Superstar!" Freddy turns in surprise at what Gregory found. Roxy, Chica and Monty turn in curiosity to see what the commotion was about while Freddy brings the duffle bag out.
"Where did you get all of those items from Gregory? Woah! You seem to have found quite a lot!" Chica asks as she suddenly realizes how much of the items he was keeping in the duffel bag by snooping inside it. She could see a glimpse of the entry passes on one side, a bowling ticket, some magnets of the characters, a screwdriver, some shirts and a hoodie, and a growing collection of plush dolls of the gang.
"They were all from the wind up prize boxes I found all over the Pizzaplex." Gregory explains as he sees Chica studying the contents. "I don't know if someone mistakenly left them behind all over the stores and all over the exhibits where the S.T.A.F.F. bots couldn't find them or... anyway, you would think that the employers would make sure that there was no presents still wrapped up and waiting for a kid to find them in the dead of night."
"Like someone wanted to give you a scavenger hunt for them I presume?" Chica acknowledges.
"Y-Yeah!" Gregory exclaims in surprise at the mention of it. "In fact, the one time I was brought to Lost and Found after Officer Vanessa caught me, Vanny was waiting for her chance to kill me. When I thought I had no where else to run in there, I saw one of those presents with me in the room. I took out a screwdriver from there and I managed to escape before she could get me." He didn't notice until a few seconds later that Chica was just staring at him silently. Something about that story didn't add up. Mainly how the present got into the room with Gregory when he was delivered to Lost and Found didn't make sense. If Vanny wanted to kill the boy, why give him a fighting chance to escape by giving him the screwdriver? Shouldn't the villain make sure that their victim is actually unable to escape?
Chica walks over to the box and kneels down to study the present intently. Gregory wasn't sure what she was looking for when he already checked it out to get the prizes he found. After a few seconds of looking at the present, Chica spots the piece of paper that fell off of the Foxy plush doll. "You didn't get any one of these notes inside the prize boxes, did you Gregory?"
Gregory shakes his head. "Nope. I didn't really check fully inside the present for anything else but the prizes I found." Chica moves her arms upwards to look at the paper closely and tries to smooth it out from its wrinkles. What she saw on the paper made her give a surprised 'buck buck?', making her hands tremble at the sight of what she was seeing. Freddy tries to ask her what was wrong until he spots what is on the paper, making him stop short and stare in astonishment.
"Okay what is making you guys act so nervous about a piece of paper?" Gregory asks in mild annoyance that the two Animatronics were not talking.
"That doesn't look like any old piece of paper Hot Shot. I think that is a treasure map." Roxy exclaims as she points out that there is a X mark right at the end of the sentence Freddy and Chica were reading. Monty just watches Freddy and Chica in mild curiosity, just hanging his shoulder around Roxy. "He is reaching out to them, his old crew with that letter." Gregory didn't understand what Roxy was talking about until he took a peek at the note for himself that is making Freddy and Chica stare in both bewilderment and with hope in their eyes.
Here was what the note said:
Freddy and Chica, if you find this note, I will return to you soon. Never underestimate the cunning of a pirate in protecting his crew from those who wish to steal what is not theirs by right, or a fox for that matter!
