What is happening, everyone? I'm back! This is SuperHeroTimeFan returning to FanFiction with a brand-new chapter for my best story for The Owl House, crossing over with MegaMan NT Warrior, Owl House: NT Witch! Once again, I am very grateful for all of the good reviews and feedback for the story since I last updated, despite the last chapter being shorter than my usual ones. I thank both Cloud4012 and Blackmetalzane22 for your feedbacks as well, and also thank Ice Wolf Fang for your own feedback. However, it is my style of writing, something I have been improving on since I found the original way I had been doing it ten years ago to be somewhat lackluster and amateurish. Thank you for the advice/feedback, though. As usual, it is greatly appreciated. The same is also said for the additions to the TV Tropes page for the story and the appreciation of the art that I do for this as well. Now, I have here the next new chapter! Please feel free to review, rate, and as always, please be sure to enjoy!

Chapter 6: Heart of a Witch

Near one of the fields besides Bonesborough, several Viruses were being sent back. Several witches and demons on their way either in or out of the town stopped to see Luz in her CrossFusion, taking on each of the Viruses as they tried to get close to the town, rapidly alternating between sword and blaster functions of her MagiBuster to take them all down.

"Azura, how are we looking?" Luz asked as two Zomons clashed with her. Quickly, she parried them off with her MagiBuster sword by spinning it around her back before striking at them while they tried to gain distance from her. "Getting any progress?"

"Yeah, the next batch of Scroll PETs are done, and we got the payment too," Azura replied. "But on the battle, none of the Viruses were seen getting an inch to Bonesborough. Keep it up!"

"That would be easy… if it weren't so hot today!" Luz replied, panting as some sweat fell from under her helmet. "Seriously, how is it that I see Hexside students in long-sleeved uniforms and not sweating from all of this? Are heat waves common in the Boiling Isles?" she asked before aiming the MagiBuster out in blaster mode. "HeatSide!" she called out, sending forth a HeatSide that created a strong wall of fire, the intensity of the heat Deleting three quarters of the Viruses and leaving only ten left,

"Wow, I guess even the Fire Chips are affected by this heat wave!" Azura exclaimed. "Better tone it down before someone gets burnt."

"Then let's try out StepCross!" Luz called out, gaining a second MagiBuster sword in her left hand. Holding both out, she AreaStole forward, clashing with the rest of the Viruses as everyone still watched with awe.

"Well, she's getting good," Pandora commented as she and ShadeMan watched the battle from the top of one of the buildings nearby. "Now, you've only said a handful about what Lan Hikari, MegaMan, Chaud Blaze and ProtoMan could do back when you were leading the Darkloids. How do Luz Noceda and Azura measure up to them?"

"She is exceptional, and anyone who could outmatch me is on par with them, even higher to actually damage me alone," ShadeMan said before noticing an Abomination with a blaster in its arms aiming up at them. "Red Wing." He said simply, sending out his red bats to easily reduce the weapon as it fired, which did not even get to reach far before Pandora's crystal ball destroyed the Abomination itself, reducing it to slime.

"Now, that was just sad," Pandora said before seeing a larger crowd now watching Luz as she Deleted nine of the ten Viruses before using a ZetaStep Program Advance to Delete the last remaining Virus. "Shall I call in more?"

"No, I have something else in mind," ShadeMan said, inspecting the remains of the failed weapon before tossing it aside. "She wins for now. We have what we needed, Pandora."

"Darkloids, Logging Out."

Luz spread her arms out, ejecting from CrossFusion. However, the heat wave was making her sweat more as her PET fell, which she nearly dropped before carefully holstering it away. She turned as the crowd cheered, waving humbly at them before making her way to some of the Hexside students that were watching.

"Here you go, just as promised, and with your commissioned NetNavis too," Luz said as she gave the PETs to the students, who smiled at her thankfully. "Gotta ask, is this the hottest that it gets here? How are none of you simmering?"

"Well, we're used to this, I guess," a ram-horned student from the Abominations Track named Mary said. "You don't have such hot weather in the Human Realm?"

"Not often. If the weather does get that high, it's not even safe," Luz said. "Anyways, I hope to see you when you and your new Navis when you get to the MagiNet. Remember to follow the instructions and use the Battle Chips supplied to you."

"Thanks, Luz!" Mary called as she and the other students walked off.

Luz smiled before wiping more sweat from her head, turning to head back to the Owl House.

"Azura, contact Eda," Luz said. "Tell her not to let King or Hooty into my room. I need a shower and a change."

Meanwhile, at Blight Manor, Odalia was looking over the remains of the Abomination from earlier, as well as the weapon it was trying to use. She scowled and turned to her husband, Alador, a man with messy hair, dark lab clothing with Abomination stains on them, and goggles on the top of his head.

"What went wrong?" Odalia asked.

"As I told you before, the weapon had not fully been tested, and was only used on other Abominations. It would not have the slightest chance against a Darkloid, especially one like ShadeMan, had I know he would be there," Alador said. "The blaster was supposed to melt Abominations, which is something I have hated designing it to do, and we have nothing to work with on Darkloids to be able to create such a weapon to harm them."

"Well, our investors in the Darkloid Destroyer just left, and now invest in Luzura Incorporated!" Odalia nearly screeched. "Fix it, and make it better!"

"I'm surprised you haven't realized it," Alador said as he aimed a remaining barrel from the blaster at his wife, getting her to gasp. "But I don't work for you. We work together."

"Hmm, then I suppose we need another demonstration for the next showcase," Odalia said, pressing her necklace. However, after a minute of her eyes closed, she opened them again and scoffed. "Amity has been avoiding my messages to her for the past week now. She should still be getting ready for her job."

"Should I tell her?"

"No, you!"

"You know she's not gonna be happy!"

"Come in, you two," Odalia said as the door opened. "I could use more company."

In came two teens, both with dark-green hair and with the same eye colors. One was a girl with a mole on her left cheek while the other was a male with a mole on his right cheek. Both of them wore Illusion Track Hexside Uniforms.

"Edric… Emira… where is your sister?" Odalia asked calmly.

"We'll only tell you as long as you don't get angry." Edric said shyly.

Odalia's eye twitched before turning to Alador, who nodded at her. She nodded back before turning to the twins again.

"I promise." Odalia said.

"Ed lost her at school." Emira said quickly.

Odalia felt her hands shake as she tried to contain her anger. Looking back and forth, she ran to her desk and opened up the drawer, yelling into it, to the mild shock of her husband and her children.

"Yeah, she's angry." Edric said as Odalia closed the drawer and walked back, now seething as she turned her attention to Edric and Emira.

"How… do you lose… a girl?!" Odalia seethed.

Edric was about to respond, only for Emira to speak first.

"You forget to cherish her."

"She's got a point." Alador said.

"People, focus!" Odalia yelled before turning to Edric and Emira, handing them a bag. "She's at the library, if I have to guess. Go there, give this to her, make sure she doesn't forget it, and tell her not to ignore me when I'm calling her through her necklace!"

"As you wish." Edric said, walking out as Emira rolled her eyes.

"She can be such a douche." Emira whispered, causing Edric to nod.

Odalia calmed herself and walked out. "Do not bother me unless you want to say that Luzura Incorporated is dying like faulty light." She ordered before leaving the office.

Alador sighed before walking over to the desk. As he opened the drawer, he suddenly heard the rest of Odalia's scream before quickly closing it and making his way out.

Later on, back at the Owl House, Eda was looking through several Battle Chips while checking on her Scroll PET, seeing more of Luz's requests. She let out a whistle before setting the Battle Chips down. Upon remembering something, she searched herself for something, but was unable to find it.

"How are the orders?"

Eda turned as King, who was reading one of Luz's Good Witch Azura books, turned as well, to see Luz walking down the stairs and into the kitchen.

Luz was now without her hoodie, wearing a black tank top that revealed her midriff, her shorts without her leggings, and her loafers replaced with red sandals, exposing her feet. She did a few stretches before walking forward, revealing that the strap for her top was held around her shoulders, leaving her back exposed.

"Whoa, mama!" Eda exclaimed before shaking her head to get back on track. "I mean, yeah, you've got a lot coming in. But I know you've been working a lot lately. You should probably close up until the heat wave passes."

"How often do these things come?" Luz asked, walking over to pick up her Battle Chips and put them back in her case.

"The orders or the heat waves?" King asked. "Because heat waves happen once almost every four months here. I've heard a lot of pinging from your PET. Guess your business is booming."

"Yeah, it sure is," Azura said, walking over and picking up Luz's PET as her NetOp took a long drink of water. "Thanks to me being able to step out, it's not beating in my head whenever new orders come in. I put an alert to let anyone else know to get a place in line for the next fifteen orders, considering we've gotten ten dozen in the past few hours already."

"That helps a lot. I need a breather after all those upgrades and formatting. Plus, we still need to find a way to duplicate my Battle Chips until I can get a hold of Higsby," Luz said. "I'm glad we're getting money for this, but I don't want too much of it."

"Yeah, leave some of us to be needy too," Eda said. "I said I was proud of you, Luz, and I mean it. Just listen to what your mother said she told you, and don't push yourself too much. You've got friends to help you now, after all."

"Ding dong! The mail's here! You have a delivery, Eda!" Hooty exclaimed, stretching his neck into the house and dropping off a basket.

"To be honest, I thought the next mail we'd get would be for you," Eda said to Luz as she looked to the basket before opening it, revealing a light-skinned baby with light-blue spiky hair. "…What?"

"Aw, did you really do it with one of your exes?" Luz asked innocently.

"Um, no… I don't… think so?" Eda replied nervously as King took out a note from the blanket around the sleeping baby.

"'Please take care of my child 'til morning. Yi-Yi.'" King read.

"Nope, Nuh-uh!" Eda protested, crossing her arms. "Babies are awful, not happening!"

"So at one point me and you were awful?" Luz asked, arms crossed with a playful smirk on her face.

"Hey, I was a sexy angel," Eda said. "And I'm sure you were a hot cherub too." She added, moving her eyebrows a bit.

"Why'd you emphasize 'hot' with your eyebrows like that?" Luz asked.

"There's more…" King said.

"Oh, King for the save." Eda said with a sigh of relief as she quickly turned away the moment Luz decided to do more stretches.

"'You will be handsomely rewarded. XOXOXOX. Bat Queen.'"

"Bat Queen?! Reward?!" Eda asked, running over and cradling the baby in her arms.

"Who's this Bat Queen?" Luz asked.

"Only the wealthiest person on the Boiling Isles! Do her a favor and she's in your debt for life!" Eda exclaimed before smiling at the baby. "Just gotta look after this thing for a few hours."

"Well, guess this owl is motherly after all," Azura joked. "How can we help?"

"Not you two, I need you to return my library books," Eda said, creating a spell circle that made several books fall into Luz and Azura's hands. "They're late and don't need to be any later."

"Well, I'm earning enough, so I guess it's… why is there a binder titled 'My Eyes are Up Here, My Goods are Everywhere Else' in this pile?" Luz asked, causing Eda to freeze up and take the binder.

"Misplaced," Eda said quickly before throwing the binder into her mouth. Everyone looked to her strangely as she tried and failed to swallow it before eventually tossing it into a can, which spat it back out before she eventually set it on fire with another spell circle. "You speak of that book to no one!"

"Okay, okay," Luz said as she and Azura carried the books out. "Have fun with parenthood."

As soon as Luz and Azura left, King turned to Eda. "You just don't want her to get richer than you wish to be, don't you?"

"And she's been working herself ragged. Her mom is right, she needs a break, and I don't want her to get part of the cut." Eda said before the baby awoke, letting out a screeching cry.

"Whoa!" Azura exclaimed as she and Luz heard the cry, with the ground shaking. "Guess we've got it lucky."

"I'm pretty sure she also didn't want me to get a cut on the profit," Luz said. "Which I can get."

"So, how long until we reach the library?" Azura asked, using her MagiBuster to levitate both sets of books.

"I'm sure we'll get there by the next scene change." Luz replied, unaware that Lilith was flying over them to the Owl House.

"Edalyn, I hope we can talk, because—" Lilith started out, only to see Eda struggling to get the baby quiet through the window. "I'll come back later." She said, backing away and flying off again.

Soon, Luz and Azura arrived at the library. Some Hexside students nearby noticed Luz and started to drool at her lighter appearance, while others fainted in shock.

"Whoa." Luz said as the books she and Azura had were levitated to the front desk.

"Late, late, late," the clerk said, each book going through a red spell circle that showed LATE over them. He caught the next book. "Coffee stains and dried blood? These are Eda's, aren't they?"

"The less you know about that night and the hangover afterwards, the better." Luz replied with a chuckle.

The librarian took a long look at Luz and Azura, which they just responded by looking at him awkwardly in return. It lasted for a minute before Luz cleared her throat.

"How much for a Library Card? Two, I mean."

"We're low on cards, but I can guarantee you two new ones next week," the librarian said. "Anyways, we're closing early for the Wailing Star." He said, gesturing to a poster with a literal wailing star on it.

"What is it, and can you define early?" Azura asked.

"Oh, we close in four hours," the librarian replied. "Feel free to have a look around. This library and everyone in it are thankful for all that you have done."

"No problem," Luz said, walking off with Azura. "So, do you think they have crystal balls to use?"

"Well, there's one," Azura said, pointing to a crystal ball that was being left by a patron. "I'll Jack myself in. Save you the trouble of yelling it." She said before zapping herself into the ball, a red beam, shooting from Luz's PET as she did.

Luz smiled before taking a seat herself at an open table. She looked around, taking in her surroundings. At one location was a card catalogue with a sign labeling it as the Demon Decimal System, with an extra sign warning people not to feed them. Looking to another direction, she saw several books flying, as in with actual wings. She chuckled in amusement before hearing her PET vibrate, having put it on silence. Placing her Cyber Contacts on, as well as some special earbuds, she took out her Progress PET and saw Skara on the screen when she turned it on.

"Hey, Skara," Luz said. "What's going on?"

"I'm in another town, called Latissa," Skara said. "And I spotted GrandeurMan. There's also some sort of Virus Attack near some ruins outside of Bonesborough, but I think the Emperor's Coven is handling it. You need me to wait for backup or should I take on GrandeurMan alone?"

"Is he alone?" Luz asked.

"Yeah, from what I'm seeing," Skara said, turning her head. "It's strange, he's just looking at the statues leading to the library here. There's gotta be something here that he wants. Otherwise, I doubt that ShadeMan would've let him just wander about."

"Do what you can to send him off," Luz said. "The Emperor's Coven might not be able to handle a Darkloid if they were to come across one, but they can at least manage with the Viruses."

"I won't let you down, Luz." Skara promised before ending her call, just as Azura returned.

"What was that?" Azura asked as Luz removed her Cyber Contacts, the digital area surrounding her fading away.

"Skara called to let me know she's handling GrandeurMan in another town called Latissa," Luz replied. "If things get out of hand, she'll let me know."

"Well, as long as it's all under control, we're good," Azura said. "Anyways, the crystal balls here are just like library computers back home. Half an hour for a use for anyone with a Card, and some of the stuff are blocked. But I did manage to get a few things that can help us for later."

"What do you think you're doing?"

"Did you hear that?" Luz asked. "It sounded like…"

"Amity," Azura replied back in the MagiNet before seeing a new Navi Crest appear in the library system. "And it looks like she's got her new NetNavi on her too. Let's go say hello."

Luz nodded and stood up, walking to where she heard the sound. She turned a corner and almost came into Amity's line of sight before stopping, seeing her reading to some little kids in a children's corner.

"Well, would you look at that?" Luz awed. "I guess she must have had this before we had even met her."

"But not the new Navi," Azura said, walking around to find the new Navi Crest. "It looks familiar. A golden moon with a purple center orb. Where have we seen that?"

"'We're your friends, and we want to help' said the tin boy with a yelp. Otabin smiled and paced the floor. 'I've never had real friends before'." Amity read to the younger kids, all wearing small Hexside uniforms.

"Sounds like a good read," Azura said, overhearing the story before turning and stopping at a sight to behold. "Whoa…"

In that area of the MagiNet, looking over a digital version of the book that Amity was reading, was a new NetNavi. She had the same black bodysuit as Azura, with navy gauntlets and a helmet that had a moon crest on the top as the chevron. Her main color was blue, with a dress around her legs that had the same navy boots, as well as gold trim, with the toe tips of the boots being a faded white color. Turning, she revealed to have amber eyes and orange hair with a lavender streak, matching the same color as Amity's Abominations.

"'Then we'll be your first' the chicken witch clucked'," Amity continued to read. "'Otabin couldn't believe his luck. So, Otabin the Book-Maker, surrounded by friends, bound a book of friendship, and that is the end."

As soon as the story had finished, all of the children cheered, getting Luz to smile warmly at the sight, having never known this side of Amity, even before she became nicer.

However, these thoughts were interrupted when a book caught the attention of the human NetBattler. Narrowing her eyes into a gaze, Luz walked to the book and pulled it out, seeing on it a cover of a man she never would have thought to see.

"'The Revolutionary Wisdom of Albert W. Wily'?" Luz read to herself quietly. "Mr. Wily was here?"

"Goodbye, Miss Amity. Thank you." Came a deep voice, getting Luz to snap out of her thoughts, and peek back around to see a young student with a familiar red skin and face, with a large teeth mouth, having been the one to thank Amity.

"Thank you, Braxas," Amity said warmly. "I will see you next time."

Braxas ran off as Amity smiled to them. She took out her Scroll PET, which had the same crescent moon emblem for the Navi Crest, and saw the aforementioned NetNavi that Azura found.

"Gotta admit, that was beautiful," the new NetNavi said. "Even if it is a kids' story, it brings a warm smile to my face."

"Thanks, Hecate," Amity said before seeing some of Luz's hair poking out from the bookshelf. "I can't wait until we get to know each other more."

"Same," Hecate said before spotting Azura, slowly walking over. To Hecate, though, time seemed to slow down, seeing the light shine off of Azura's armor. "Huh… looks like we're not alone."

"No, we are not," Amity said with a chuckle as she walked over to where Luz was. "You know, it would be okay for you to watch me. Those kids are from Hexside, and everyone there looks to you as a hero, Luz."

"Well, I didn't want to distract you, and I had found this peculiar book."

"I'm sure it wouldn't be all that…" Amity started before fully entering the aisle, and found herself fighting off a blush on her face when she saw Luz's exposed back before she turned to reveal what she was wearing. "Bad?"

"Yeah, this book is about a man, a mad scientist from my realm, who started the whole threat to the Cyberworld and Human World," Luz said, showing the book to Amity, who backed away as her cheeks slowly started to turn red. "Mr. Wily was his name, and the fact that I found a book about him…"

Everything Luz was saying was drowned out as Amity was looking at her from top to bottom, taking note of everything she saw about her.

'Dark mocha skin. Toned abs, light muscles yet feel so strong and soft up close. A perfect midsection. Legs slightly darker due to those tight leggings. A toe ring on both feet…" Amity thought to herself before Luz turned, lifting a foot from her sandal and unintentionally showing off her sole, causing Amity to go red even more. 'Smooth soles, smooth back, straight posture. The pants make her look even more attractive without the leggings. Her… midsection dot… looks so tiny. Stop thinking these thoughts, Amity, it's just friendship with her. It's totally platonic!'

"Um, Amity?"

Amity snapped out of her very detailed thoughts about what she was seeing on Luz, now seeing her looking at her with the book displayed in her hand. Realizing she was now as red as a blood moon, she felt her nose, and there was a trickle of blood coming out, which she then tried to cover quickly as Luz walked closer.

"Sorry," Amity said as she nervously backed away. "You said you wanted help? I can help for shirt… I mean sure!" she stammered as Luz slowly inched closer. "I can help you with your peck… predicament! You're not midriff… meddling! With any of my business! It's all extra credit what I'm doing, not a big deal, though, so… why is it so hot?" she asked, now feeling herself sweating up a storm before almost stumbling backwards over a chair, only for Luz to catch her, slowing her fall as the sweat now made her slip from her grasp, only to land on the next chair over.

"Are you alright?" Luz asked, pulling Amity back up.

"Um, huh… huh… huh. Of course!" Amity nearly yelled as she took a look at Luz again, paying attention to her toned skin once more. "Navel be— never better!" she corrected herself once again before taking a seat and burying her face into her hands. "Oh, I'm such a mess!"

"Sorry, it must be the heat wave. I guess I was the only one feeling too hot from it, but I guess it's making everyone feel a bit woozy," Luz said, sitting down across from Amity, who quickly turned her chair to face away from her so that she could clear off her double nosebleed. "So, um… can you find out who donated this book?"

"Yeah, I can," Amity said before turning her chair back. "And…" she started before quickly undoing her hair tie so that she could wrap it around her eyes to stop herself from checking out Luz's body, though the redness of her face now reached up to her ears, which she tried her very hardest to suppress. "Thanks for the Scroll PET and Navi. I think Azura already met Hecate."

"Oh, that's your Navi's name?" Luz asked.

"Yeah, that's me," Hecate said as she held out her hand to Azura, who played a bit with the hair from the back of her helmet before reaching out to accept the outstretched hand. "I never got the chance to meet you, even though I know who brought me to life. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Azura."

"Same," Azura replied as she looked to the data on all of the books. "You've got quite a selection here."

"Yeah, I'm the unofficial keeper of every digital book copy here," Hecate said. "In the past few days, Amity and I have gotten to know each other really well. She's a bright young witch with a great future ahead of her, now that you and Luz helped set her on a better path."

"I'm glad we could help." Azura said.

"Oh, that reminds me," Luz said as she took out her PET and held it out at Amity. "I forgot to do this. I did it with Skara, Gus and Willow before our Conjuring night, and I completely forgot to do it with you."

"Which is what?" Amity asked.

"Test you for your Synchro rating," Luz replied. "It helps to determine how strong of a bond a person has with a NetNavi, to help know if they can pull off CrossFusion. It was how I knew that Skara was ready."

"How did Lan and MegaMan achieve their bond?" Amity asked.

"According to Dr. Hikari, it was because of their friendship, believe it or not," Luz said. "For others, like Chaud, Kim and Ron, it's always some sort of different bond that makes them stronger, and shows that they have the potential for CrossFusion. Now, let's see what your rating is," she said before taking a look at the result of the scan she took of Amity and Hecate. "Well… this is rare."

"Is it bad? Low?" Amity asked nervously.

"No, it's quite high," Luz replied, showing a holographic screen that displayed the Synchro rating for Amity and Hecate. "Exactly the same level that I have with Azura. It's not often that two people have the same Synchro ratings. I mean, Kim and Ron share the same rating on their one to ten scale, but our ratings are the same too. Do you know what kind of bond you two share?"

"Well, there's a lot that we talked about…" Amity started out as she looked to her Scroll PET, still trying not to focus too much on what Luz was wearing. "Just to let you know, the heat wave today should end before night. That's when it will get a bit blustery," she advised before letting her PET float with wings on the sides. "Thanks for keeping in mind my handedness. It makes it easier to use than it would have otherwise."

"Hey, I'm the kind of person who likes to be sensitive to others," Luz replied. "You've really changed since we first met, and I like getting to know the real Amity Blight more," she said before giving Amity something. "Try this out when you can. On your own time or if there's another Darkloid attack, and let me know how it works out."

Amity looked to what she was handed and gasped, seeing that it was a Synchro Chip.

"You're really trusting me with this?" Amity asked.

"Of course," Luz replied. "You're a friend, and you've proven yourself to be trustworthy and friendly ever since the Covention duel."

"Well, I have plans for tonight, with the Wailing Star," Amity said. "Hecate and I could try it then."

"So… you're the famous human that's gonna teach here."

Luz and Amity turned to see Edric and Emira, the former leaning against a book shelf while the latter had a hand to her hip.

"Hey, weren't you at the Covention?" Luz asked.

"Mittens, is she your girlfriend?" Emira asked, getting Amity's face to go red with embarrassment.

"She's… just a friend," Amity said as Emira took a look at Luz, now nearly going red just like Amity did when seeing her attire. "What do you two want?"

"Um, well… Mom said to drop… the…" Emira said, seeing everything that Amity took a mental note of, before turning to a trash can and opening it to let the nosebleed she had drip inside.

"Huh, that never happened before," Edric said before also finally noticing what Luz was wearing. "Whoa, mama!" he nearly exclaimed before handing Amity the bag. "She said to stop leaving this behind, and stop ignoring her calls."

"You didn't know?" Amity asked, raising an eyebrow as Emira walked back. "When Penelope became Pandora, she took my necklace. I guess Mom just never noticed it."

"Was it important?" Luz asked.

"No, not really," Amity said as Edric and Emira looked at her in surprise. "In any case, we need to get ready for tonight. If you two aren't gonna leave, please try not to cause any trouble here. And don't mess with Luz, she'll be our teacher soon."

"Speaking of, can we get our Scrolls upgraded?" Emira asked as she and Edric summoned their Scrolls to hand to Luz.

"Yeah, about that at the moment…" Azura said, now standing behind the twins, causing them to jump in surprise. "Because we've entered public domain and with the Scroll PETs and Navis becoming popular, we're slowing things down, for the sake of Luz's sanity."

"How much to get my Navi to come into the real world like yours can?" Edric asked.

"We did it on a Conjuring night. I don't know any other way for it to happen," Luz replied. "But when this heat wave passes, I'll give your Scrolls an upgrade, sure. You want to have special Navis too?"

"Nah, just the normal ones," Emira said as she looked to Amity, who was putting the book she had read back on the shelf. "Wow, Mittens sure has changed since the Covention. Other than when we talk to her about how she was after fighting that ShadeMan guy, she likes to talk about you a lot, Luz."

"Glad you call me by name," Luz said. "Boscha always just calls me 'Human'."

"She's also grabbing thesauruses each time she comes here, something to do with your terms you set for Willow," Edric said, looking to an aisle where Boscha was grabbing a thesaurus from a shelf, just as the one she had borrowed came in through a late red circle, just as Eda's books had when Luz was returning them. "What exactly happens when any of the three terms you set breaks, even by accident? Because I've always seen Boscha with a red forehead each time she walks away from Willow."

"Hey, Amity set the Everlasting Oath, not me," Luz said before raising an eyebrow. "Is that a pet name for her, Mittens?"

"More complicated than that, but we won't bore you with the details," Emira said, all four unaware that ShadeMan was watching from a nearby crystal ball. "You wanna have some fun?"

"I have to admit, the human has a good talent for making these witches into fighters. It has already become a risk to wander around MagiNet City without one of those new Navis spotting me, but it shows the human has more skill than any other I've met," ShadeMan admitted before looking to a catalog of every book in the library. "What an interesting selection we've got here. And this Wailing Star… it sounds promising," he mused before coming across some entries for a few special books. "Let's give to life the new Dark Chips, shall we?" he pondered, showing off one of the Dark Chips made from the Covention Power Glyph before letting it appear in the library in the Demon Realm.

Once there, the single Dark Power Glyph Chip began to multiply and spread to the other seconds. Once over some of the books, they faded away, just as Luz picked up the book on Wily and handed it to Amity.

"I don't have a library card yet, so is there a chance you can hold onto this for me?" Luz asked.

"Sure thing," Amity replied before looking around. "Where did my siblings get to?"

"They asked if I wanted to have any fun. I told them I was fine, and they went off," Luz said as she took out her Extension Chip to start with upgrading Edric and Emira's Scrolls into Scroll PETs. "Azura went to keep an eye on them."

"And they're driving the staff crazy," Azura said, walking towards Luz and Amity. "They erased the second 'fiction-' on the fiction/non-fiction section, swapped places with two librarians trying to organize books, and I think I saw them about to do something to the Demon Decimal System."

"We can go and stop them, and get them out," Luz said, taking out the Battle Chip Gate. "Maybe prank them in return."

"I never asked… what can that do?" Amity asked, looking to the Battle Chip Gate.

"This right here is the Battle Chip Gate. It allows anyone to send Battle Chips to others when they're low or don't have any, or can help anyone out with CrossFusion if they need more Chips. Chaud was able to help Lan a ton with this, and I made my own right here," Luz explained before Azura teleported back to her PET. "Now, let's send them out."

"Go for it!" Azura encouraged as Luz took out a Battle Chip.

"AreaSteal, Battle Chip In, and Download." Luz simply said, teleporting away. As soon as she did, Amity heard her siblings yelp, followed by the third despaired cry of Gary the librarian.

Not bothering to hold back a chortle from what happened, Amity walked off afterwards. However, as she was thinking about the Battle Chip Gate, she remembered something at the Covention.

Flashback

After leaving Luz, Amity walked back into the arena, seeing all the damage and the Coven Scouts trying to clean everything up.

"Gotta be something I can do to help Luz," Amity said to herself before seeing something shining on the ground. "What's that?" she asked herself before she walked over to it and picked it up, revealing it to the StepCross Battle Chip that Eda was about to power Luz with, until she had to drop it to avoid a Red Wing attack from ShadeMan. She looked to it with interest before pocketing it away.

Present

Reaching into her pocket, Amity pulled out the StepCross Battle Chip and looked at it.

"Wait, how long have you had that?" Hecate asked. "I think it could be a good game changer for if we NetBattle anyone, but it was Luz's original chip. I don't think you should let anyone else besides Luz know you should have that, especially with how your mom is getting so competitive with trying to find a way to take on the Darkloids."

"I know, and I've been meaning to give it back to Luz," Amity said, seeing Luz now having AreaStole outside with the twins crashing onto the ground. "But ever since the Covention, I've always been so in awe at the world she's opened up, and now to Hexside and part of the Demon Realm too. It's something that I never knew I wanted. And part of that scares me."

"Well, I'm sure she was the same at one point, when she started out too," Hecate said. "Just follow what your heart says about Luz."

"And don't forget Azura too," Amity added as she looked to the romance section of the library on her way out. "There's Azura too."

"Yeah… Azura… sure…" Hecate said while rubbing the back of her neck.

Amity chuckled at her new NetNavi's predicament before stopping outside of the library, where Edric and Emira were talking with Luz.

"You know, you're lucky you're not getting on my bad side, or that I'd be petty enough to not give you upgrades," Luz said. "But, I suppose it's only fair that I treat you the same way as I treat all my friends, or else Amity would get really mad with me."

"Oh, no. When Mittens gets mad, she looks like this," Edric said before taking a very deep breath. He held it for a while as Emira looked on, before his cheeks turned red, causing him to stop and almost stumble. "Whoa. Almost passed out."

"Anyways, we're not done here quite yet, and I promise you, it's not to cause trouble," Emira said, walking up to Luz and placing the backside of her hand under her chin in a cheeky way. "Want to come back later tonight and help us?"

"And the Wailing Star's power is supposed to unlock something special too," Edric said, walking up alongside his sister and making the same pose as both bent down to her level. This proved to be a mistake as they once again got a close look at Luz in her revealing attire, getting both of them to go red in the face just like Amity did before. "What do you say?" he asked, trying not to get Luz to notice them taking notice of her exposed body areas.

Luz looked the twins up and down, and walked closer to them, getting them to take a few steps back until they almost fell off the stairs leading to the bottom. Grinning, she walked up extremely close to them to the point of the two's faces almost steaming from the intense blushing, which got her to turn and make a hand signal to a shadowed area by the library entrance, coincidentally where Amity was watching.

'Is that a human code of some sort?' Amity thought before noticing what each gesture meant. "'Tail me tonight'." She deciphered.

"I suppose a harmless thing won't kill us," Luz said as she backed away, getting the twins to start breathing heavily. "Consider it a rendezvous. Plus, I would need to return your Scrolls when they're already upgraded."

"Great, we can't wait!" Edric exclaimed excitedly.

"See you around, cutie." Emira said, winking to Luz and waving at her before the two walked off.

"Well, with that said and done, let's get going," Luz said, placing her hands in her pockets and walking off down the steps. "Amity, you wanted to say something?"

"Uh…" Amity said in surprise, now holding her breath nervously, causing her cheeks to go red, just like Edric had shown, before releasing. "Whoo! Almost passed out!" she panted before running over to Luz. "How did you know?"

"Something I would notice with Kim and her brothers whenever I was in M-Tech City back home," Luz replied. "But as I was getting your siblings out, they brought up something about your mother. Her company, does it make weapons?"

"We usually try to keep all news about the sales and products to a minimum so that we don't attract the attention of the Emperor's Coven," Amity replied. "Listen, my mom sees Luzura Incorporated as a rival, and has decided to take up creating weapons to try and combat the Darkloids. Did Ed and Em tell you as much?"

"I can tell they're skilled Illusionists, but unless your family's company is unmatched in terms of the weapons they create, it'll be suicide to try and take on any Darkloid," Luz said. "There are vigilantes in my world who do the same, and while they have a small success rate, it ultimately falls on professionals like the NetSaviors and the NetPolice to take care of the threats. I don't know if your family is above the law, and I don't have any desire for any of this to be a competition, but if anyone who is not prepared to fight a Darkloid gets too overconfident when taking them on, they can be killed."

"I'll try my best to make sure that no one dies, then," Amity said. "Catch you around."

Luz nodded before hearing her PET go off. As she did, Amity's went off as well, and the two pulled up a recording of Skara in CrossFusion, fighting off against GrandeurMan in Latissa.

"What's all this?" Luz asked before seeing several people in Abomination armor armed with weapons run up and take aim at GrandeurMan, opening fire on him.

"No, move!" Skara called, having an Infinite Vulcan Program Advance ready to fire as GrandeurMan, who was weakened already, took notice of the blasts. He grinned and absorbed them into his flasks, before firing back at them, reducing their bodies to ash.

Skara gasped and fired on GrandeurMan, but he used his absorbed energy to create a shield around himself before disappearing.

"GrandeurMan, Logging Out."

"No one leaves!" Skara called to everyone as she landed, cancelling out her Program Advance. She ran to the armor and saw a symbol on each one of them. "Blight Industries really tried to take on a Darkloid?!"

"Luz, I'm sorry," Amity said before noticing comments in the live-stream. "They're not blaming Skara. They're now more invested in Luzura Inc.!"

"Skara, was GrandeurMan after anything there?" Luz asked, switching to Skara's frequency.

"From what I found, it was several digital books on the history of the Boiling Isles," Melody replied, showing up on a split screen with Skara. "Sorry, Luz. We had him on the ropes until Blight Industries got in the way."

"There's another thing," Azura said, pulling up a screen that showed Deleted Viruses outside of Bonesborough, but ten Coven Scouts lay dead and mutilated while others were injured. "Not even the Emperor's Coven could take on the Viruses effortlessly."

"Hopefully, we can get more people to join the cause and fight with us," Luz said. "I've got something that can help people without CrossFusion to fight, something made by Kim's tech friend back in my world that was distributed to everyone else. It'll be my next item to showcase, but for now, I'll send everyone a message in response to these events."

Skara, Melody and Amity all nodded before Luz placed on her Contacts. Once the digital Cyberworld was pulled up around her, she pulled up the recordings and cleared her throat, setting a camera live-stream for her PET.

"My name is Luz Noceda, head of Luzura Incorporated," Luz announced as she walked back to the Owl House. "I am saddened to learn of the fallout of both of the attacks on the Darkloid forces today. But know that I am not the type to press charges for any intervened attempt at heroism. It is admirable, but skill without experience can only lead to disaster. Therefore, I ask that you remain calm and listen to what I have to say."

As Luz was saying this, someone in the throne room of the palace was watching. He was tall with a white robe with gold trim, wore a mask with horns protruding from the sides of the top, ruffled hair showing from the sides of his face, and golden gauntlets over his hands. This was none other than the leader of the Boiling Isles, Emperor Belos.

"So, I finally see you, stranger." Emperor Belos said as next to him by the throne, an elite guard with a golden mask and matching colored suit, armed with a staff, was watching as well.

"I am offering people the next of my enterprise's products, something that will allow those without CrossFusion or a NetNavi to take on Darkloids and Viruses," Luz announced. "I have one set ready, but I will only distribute the rest once others are available. Know that no matter what, we will protect you. For the Boiling Isles, and for all who wish to see the future!"

With that, Luz's message ended as she now neared the Owl House. As she looked to her PET again, she saw more funds being sent to her, as well as positive comments about her announcement.

"Wow, these are a lot," Azura said, looking over everything. "And we haven't even set a price yet!"

"I'm not doing this for money or fame, I'm doing this for everyone to make sure they're safe," Luz said before rubbing Hooty's cheek. "You're a great guardian of the Owl House."

"Ah, thanks, Luz!" Hooty said before opening the door for her.

As soon as Luz stepped in, she saw Eda rocking the baby back and forth. She stopped when she saw Luz enter.

"You look so cute like that!" Luz squealed. "You ever consider having babies with any special people?"

"A few times, but after today, they're up in smoke," Eda replied. "I saw your message. Looks like Odalia sees you as a competitor."

"But I'm doing this to help everyone, not put anyone out of business!" Luz protested. "Anyways, I'm gonna go up and change, and then head out to meet with some friends. You still sure you don't want my help?"

"Positive," Eda said as Luz made her way up. "Besides, I've already gotten a picture of you in that hot getup. I don't need to be distracted more than I already have been."

"Edalyn?"

Eda turned to see Lilith enter, keeping her distance and with earplugs in. After seeing the sleeping baby of the Bat Queen, she sighed and walked on in.

"Is this about the failed attempt of the Emperor's Coven to combat Viruses?" Eda asked.

"He gave a foretelling to everyone earlier," Lilith replied. "That within the next twenty-four hours, which has been twenty-two hours from now already, a Darkloid shall fall for good at the hands of his scouts, ridding us of one of the many who serve ShadeMan. While I am loyal, I now have some doubts that the Emperor's Coven even can kill a Darkloid."

"Is he insane?! They were once witches and demons!" Eda exclaimed quietly. "This is suicide, Lily! You have to call off whatever strike team will take on the next Darkloid. They're not going to fall to them."

"I've tried, but they believe that the Titan is giving them strength from that foretelling," Lilith said. "And he's forbidden me from joining them in the event that I call them off. I needed to warn you so that you could interfere, but I didn't expect… this." She said, gesturing to the baby.

"I'm doing a favor for the Bat Queen," Eda said as Luz came down, now back in her usual attire. "I can't just leave this baby alone. Good thing there's only one of them."

At that moment, the baby awoke and spat out another baby, which spat out another. Everyone gaped at this before one of them breathed fire, causing the four to scramble as they then flew around wildly.

"Well… I'll be off!" Lilith said hastily before running out the door.

"This whole thing seems under control, so… bye~!" Luz called, running out as well.

"So, is the first baby the uncle? And the second baby the dad of the third?" Azura asked.

"The less I think about it, the better!" Luz replied before running faster from the screeching cries.

Now at the library thanks to the long run, Luz looked around for Edric and Emira. She took out their Scrolls, now reformatted as Scroll PETs, before looking around. Stopping, she slipped off her shoes and picked them up, shoving them to her left and right, getting Edric and Emira to appear out of thin air and recoil, now covering their noses.

"How did you… huh?!" Edric stammered.

"But we've mastered that invisibility illusion!" Emira exclaimed. "How'd you know we were there?"

"I've fought invisible enemies before. I know how to fight them seriously and playfully," Luz replied before looking to the locked door. "So, how do we get in? I'm not about to get arrested."

"Well, it says it's closed, but I'm allergic to rules." Edric said.

"And dairy." Emira added on cheekily.

"Wow, just expose me, why don't you?" Edric snarked, rolling his eyes, before noticing their Scroll PETs in midair. "Awesome work, Luz!"

Edric's Scroll PET was now with blue, orange and yellow colors, with a crest that showed a bat, while Emira's Scroll PET was two tones of blue, and with a Navi crest that displayed a jagged chaos star on it in green colors.

"Yeah, these look amazing!" Emira exclaimed as she and her brother took their new devices. Luz only smiled before handing them cases with Battle Chips inside of them. As soon as she did, Emira pulled out a paper scroll and placed it on the door. It crumbled and burned away, revealing the keyhole, previously at its usual small size, now enlarged to create a wide entrance inside.

"Whoa. That's impressive." Luz admitted.

"Yeah, I'll say." Azura commented.

"Come on." Edric whispered, going inside, followed by Emira. Luz turned and made a few hand signals to a random direction before following. As soon as she entered, someone else followed, just in time as the keyhole went back to its original size.

"So, what now?" Luz asked before seeing a light shine overhead.

"The Wailing Star!" Edric exclaimed, pointing to the passing star. True to its name, it let out a wail as it passed.

"That explains so much," Luz said before noticing a dark glow emitting from every section. "What's going on?"

"Well, I'll be. Something was gonna happen!" Edric said in awe as he, Luz and Emira made their way to see one of the books glowing. He opened it up, and as soon as he did, several birds flew out. He looked to the title of the book and chuckled. "'Extinct Birds of the Boiling Isles.'"

"The Wailing Star can bring any book to life?" Luz asked. She looked to see the Otabin book that Amity was reading earlier before securing it in the shelf. "I can tell what they might try to do if they get too close." She said before walking back to the twins.

"This is amazing!" Emira exclaimed. "And it'll make our biggest prank even more fun to pull off!"

Luz turned to the twins with surprise. "Wait… you're using the power of the Wailing Star to pull a prank? With something in this library?" she asked in disbelief.

"Well, it's a harmless one, trust me," Emira said. "All we need to do is get to the romance section and…"

"What's happening?" Edric interrupted, seeing a glow coming from every aisle.

"What did you do?" Luz asked.

"Nothing, we swear!" Emira replied. "We're surprised to this as you are!"

"Yes! We finally meet, Student of Edalyn!"

Luz narrowed her eyes as a dark-yellow spell circle appeared, followed by GrandeurMan digitizing into the library.

"GrandeurMan, I assume?" Luz asked. "Or as I learned… formerly known as Adegast."

"Rival to the Owl Lady, but that demon is dead! I remain now!" GrandeurMan proclaimed. "And just as ShadeMan said, you would be here tonight. Just in time to see the rise of our new forces."

"Oh no," Luz said, her eyes widening in realization. "ShadeMan must have known about the effects of the Wailing Star too."

"That can only mean that—"

The birds from the book that Edric opened suddenly glowed with a dark aura. All around them, random demons and witches came out from books left ajar, and dark auras surrounded them as well. Soon, each of them were now Darkloids, each with empty Navi Crests and with glowing red eyes.

"Okay, this is something we weren't expecting!" Emira exclaimed.

"What exactly was your plan when you got here?" Luz asked.

"Harmless, I swear!" Emira replied.

"And I don't care," GrandeurMan said. "Whatever you think your sister sees in you, I'll never understand. You two are the worst to her," he spat before snapping his fingers, getting the new Darkloids to turn to Luz, Edric and Emira. "Kill them all."

At that moment, someone leapt off of a high bookshelf and kicked GrandeurMan away. As he was sent tumbling forward, she got back up and performed a split kick against the bookshelves at his sides, causing them to wobble. She then sent a fire blast from a spell circle at him before cartwheeling backwards as the bookcases fell on top of him, revealing herself as Amity to Luz, Edric and Emira.

"So you got what I was sending you." Luz replied as Emira and Edric stood with their jaws dropped in amazement.

"Well, the moment he talked trash about Ed and Em, I had to act," Amity replied, looking all around at the Darkloids as they charged. She sent an Abomination fist at seven of them while Luz flipped onto her back, using her PET with her Shot Grip to fire at nine more before the two kicked away one each as they tried to lunge at them. With them out of the way, Amity turned to her siblings. "So… tell me about this harmless prank."

"Well, we were getting in trouble with Mom, and thought that a prank to put some pressure on you would get them off our backs." Emira started nervously.

"We were gonna find your hideout, get your diary, and post it all over the school," Edric finished before he ducked from an incoming blade, which Emira clashed with a chair before the two punched him back. "We weren't expecting you to already be so humble. We thought you were still the same grump that always ratted us out when we skipped class! We're sorry!"

"Okay, there's a lot of flaws in that plan, which is why I'm letting this all slide," Amity said as she sent more Spell Circles, knocking away more blank Darkloids. "I change the lock sequence to my hideout every time, and never tell anyone or make sure anyone is watching, so you wouldn't be able to get in. I put all my diary entries into my Scroll PET and moved the actual diary out of here. And I was gonna lighten up on ratting you out. Plus, do you know how far your grades have fallen from all those absences? They're enough to get you to take school again for the next four years!"

"Sorry, and fair point," Emira said as all four backed towards each other, seeing the Darkloids surrounding them. "Got any plans?"

"Cover me while I load up," Luz said, taking out several Battle Chips. "I'm gonna CrossFuse and even the playing field. GrandeurMan won't stay down forever, so I gotta make sure to put an end to him and his fodder army!"

"You got it!" Edric called as he and Emira charged at several Fodder Darkloids, blasting at them with Spell Circles. Some of them hit their blank crests, and to their surprise, they were sent back to the books they came from.

"Go for their chests!" Emira called to Luz and Amity. "It will send them to where they came from!"

One of the Fodder Darkloids slammed their hand down, creating a hole under and over Edric and Emira. Luz and Amity noticed this, but the two fell through the bottom hole and came out through the top, repeating the process as they fell through again.

"Well, it's just us now," Amity said as she readied Abomination Fists while Luz was now using her Slash Grip to Delete more of the Fodder Darkloids. "All ready?"

"Yeah," Luz said, taking out her Synchro Chip. "Slash Grip, activate!" she called as her sword hilt glowed in conjunction with her PET. "Now, Synchro Chip in! Download!" she called out, placing her Synchro Chip in the bottom of the grip this time.

"Begin CrossFusion Now!" Luz and Azura called out, with Luz slashing forth a wave of the light from her PET as she started to transform.

Luz slammed her Slash Grip down, getting Azura's gauntlets to appear over her arms as she tossed the sword into the air, now crossing her arms across her chest. Spreading them out, Azura's boots appeared over her legs, right as her purple over-shield appeared over her top chest. On her back, a set of two stars split in half appeared, acting as a pack for her, before she crossed her arms once more, allowing her Navi Crest to form and place itself on the center of her chest. As soon as it did, she spun around, her black bodysuit appearing beneath. She turned around and grinned, Azura's hat appearing over her head, followed by the sides of her helmet forming, with a new visor appearing over her eyes. Holding out her right hand, Slash Grip landed in her hands, forming into two MagiBusters in sword mode, which she swung down elegantly before finishing her CrossFusion.

"Enhanced Blade Mode, engaged." Luz announced as she looked to each of the Fodder Darkloids, as well as GrandeurMan as he blasted his way out of the bookcases on top of him.

"Delete her, and the Dark Chip's full power will be yours." GrandeurMan spat as the rest of the Fodder Darkloids charged.

"FirePlus, Battle Chip In!" Luz announced, getting her blades to light with fire. Swinging them around, she slashed at several Fodder Darkloids, each time making sure to hit their crests, causing them to return to their books. Running forward, she clashed with a few more while Amity blasted away several others while moving closer to Edric and Emira, still falling infinitely.

"I'll get you out of there, I promise!" Amity called before two bladed HeelNavis leapt at her. Forming her Abomination Blade over her left arm, she locked with them before sending punching their chests, sending them into their books. As she sent Abomination Waves at the other Darkloids surrounding her, she saw several others about to fire at her. Leaping back, she fired at them first, sending them to their books before seeing GrandeurMan leaping in with his blades drawn at Luz. "Luz, watch out!" she called.

Luz turned and gasped, blocking GrandeurMan's attack with both of her blades. The two pushed against each other, with everyone unaware that another book was opened, and from it, a man with a skull on the head of his cane was watching everything unfold.

Luz twirled as GrandeurMan pushed her back, eventually slamming his blades onto her. Without missing a beat, she blocked them and spun to kick him away while banishing two more Fodder Darkloids. As soon as she turned back, she deflected several blasts from GrandeurMan's Flask Cannons before slashing at his left arm, getting him to back away.

"Chemical Tower!" GrandeurMan called out, slamming his hand down. Soon, orange fiery liquid emerged as a tower from the ground, making its way towards Luz like lava.

"AquaTower, Battle Chip In!" Luz called out, slamming both of her MagiBusters down. The AquaTower emerged and collided with the Chemical Tower, but it gave GrandeurMan enough time to run and slash Luz back, sending her into several more Fodder Darkloids, who proceeded to toss her around as GrandeurMan made his way towards her with a larger Flask Cannon.

"We've gotta help!" Amity panicked before noticing her Scroll PET glowing. "Wait…" she said, taking out the Synchro Chip she was given. "Hecate, we can even the odds and bring you out like I wanted, but I think Luz needs another person on her level who can help take down GrandeurMan. What do I do?"

"Can't you do both?" Hecate asked.

"No, there's no other way for the Wailing Star to make both happen. If I CrossFuse, I might not be able to bring you out like Azura can. If I bring you out, then I can't do CrossFusion if you're not in the PET." Amity replied.

Hecate looked to Amity and took a deep breath. "Amity, I can help you, any time with anything on your mind, but having me out there is only a bonus," she said. "Nothing can stop me from being in your life, but the choice is yours. What do you REALLY want?" she asked, causing Amity to look to the glowing Scroll PET and then to the Synchro Chip. "What does your heart say that you should do?"

Amity looked back and forth before turning to Luz, freeing herself as best as she could while GrandeurMan was charging up. Finally, she turned back and let out a tear.

"I'm sorry…"

"This is it. I shall finally be rid of you, Luz Noceda! And the Owl Lady will fall too!" GrandeurMan proclaimed. "This is my greatest crime to get away with! Grand Flask Cannon!"

Luz gasped as the Grand Flask Cannon finished charging. As soon as it did, GrandeurMan let out a sinister smirk.

"Goodbye."

All of a sudden, GrandeurMan was shot in the back, forcing him to drop the Grand Flask Cannon. With it at full charge, it shot everywhere, taking out random Fodder Darkloids and sending them to their books, leaving only a handful remaining.

"Hello," Amity said with a smirk, running at GrandeurMan as he tried to get his weapon back, only for her to step in it, breaking it. "Whoops. That was an accident," she said sarcastically before grabbing his fist as he tried to punch at her. "And that was a mistake. One that I'm really glad you made."

"I won't make the same mistake… of letting you continue to live!" GrandeurMan yelled, readying his tentacles for impalement against Amity, who kept her composure. "Any last words, Blight?!"

"Yeah," Amity said, holding out her Scroll PET, with the Synchro Chip in the slot. "Synchro Chip In! Download!" she called, slamming the bottom against GrandeurMan's chest before holding it out to his face.

"CrossFusion!"

GrandeurMan gasped, as did Luz, before Hecate's Navi crest flew out and flung him back.

Amity grinned and held her arms out, letting Hecate's Navi Crest pass through her, giving her a black bodysuit. As soon as it did, she thrust her right arm to the side while her left arm gained her Navi's gauntlet. The same happened for her other arm before letting Hecate's boots digitize over her feet. Raising both arms into the air, she brought them down, letting her helmet appear before the crescent moon chevron manifested itself. Spreading out her arms now, her Navi Crest flew onto her chest, followed by her hair being undone and coming out the back of her helmet as a ponytail, followed by her blue tailcoat falling around her legs. Spinning around, she ended her CrossFusion with both arms opened to the sides.

"WHHOOOOAAAAAA!" Edric and Emira called as they continued to fall.

"Amity, you did it!" Luz exclaimed happily as even the remaining Fodder Darkloids looked on in wonder, one in the very back even clapping happily. "You and Hecate CrossFused!"

"Yeah, we did," Amity said, turning to Luz with a smile. "And now…" she started, turning back to GrandeurMan as a staff fell into her hands, one that was dark-magenta with a golden orb at the end. "You're going to pay for what you did to Luz!"

"I'm not afraid of another witch!" GrandeurMan spat, now letting his tentacles spread, some forming into bladed whips to replace his destroyed Flask Cannons.

"You should be," Amity said before glancing to Luz. "Can you handle the fodder? I want to take care of GrandeurMan personally."

"Be careful!" Luz replied, nodding in approval, before slashing at the rest of the Fodder Darkloids, resuming her fight with them.

"LunaStriker!" Amity called out. "Moon Blast!"

Amity leapt forward and shot at GrandeurMan, the LunaStriker sending out several shining blasts which sent him back, using his tentacles for cover, before launching them at her.

"Sword Mode!" Amity called, activating a purple blade from the end of the orb. Letting out a battle cry, she slashed through the tentacles before slashing at GrandeurMan's bladed whips. She let one of them wrap around her blade before grabbing the other, pulling GrandeurMan in. "Have a nice flight!" she quipped, leaping up and kicking the Potions Darkloid into a chandelier. "Careful with the fall." She finished as GrandeurMan fell, with the chancelier dropping on top of him afterwards, piercing and severing seven of his tentacles.

Luz spun around, kicking each of the Fodder Darkloids away before making a three-point landing. As soon as she did, she got back up and spun her upper body around, slashing at the four Fodder Darkloids and destroying their crests, banishing them away. She leapt up and performed a split kick, hitting two more in their crests and sending them away too, before finding herself with three more.

"Bad news, Luz," Azura said as Luz prepared for her next move. "We don't have enough for the Program Advance we were saving up for. It's a StepSword and a HeroSword, but no StepCross."

"StepCross?" Amity asked as she slashed GrandeurMan back. She looked to her stuff that she set down before CrossFusion and ran to it. Rummaging through it, she found the StepCross from the Covention and tossed it to Luz. "Go for it, Luz!"

Luz looked to Amity and grinned. She and Azura synchronized as the last Fodder Darkloids charged,

"Program Advance!"

"StepSword, HeroSword…" Luz called, summoning the two swords before letting the StepCross enter her Navi Crest. "And StepCross, Battle Chips in!"

"EvilCut!"

Now with her golden blade, Luz charged at the Fodder Darkloids, slashing through them several times before unleashing a Sonic Boom at them. They all shattered away as their Navi Crests fell apart, now returning to the books where they came from.

Amity locked with GrandeurMan's last blade, holding her LunaStriker in her right hand. GrandeurMan gasped, remembering Amity's handedness, before she pulled her left hand back, covered in a spiked Abomination Fist. She brought it forward, sending GrandeurMan flying while slicing off his last tentacle.

"I always heard you were the worst of all the scam artists in the Demon Realm," Amity said. "So no one will miss you when I'm done!" she exclaimed before her Abomination goo covered her blade, which was now held back in her left hand. "Abomination Charge!" she called out, letting the blade glow a purple color.

Letting out a yell, Amity charged at GrandeurMan, slashing him right down the middle, and destroying his Navi Crest. He yelled as Amity spun back around, using a whip from her blade to send him towards the hole that trapped her siblings, now with his Crest destroyed and a glowing line going through the middle of his body.

"This can't be! I was supposed to be… invincible!" GrandeurMan stammered before his Dark Chip flew out. "No!"

"GrandeurMan, Deleted."

"Mess with the best…" Luz started, holding her MagiBuster into the air.

"Lose like the rest, GrandeurMan." Amity finished, crossing the MagiBuster with her LunaStriker.

ShadeMan looked on from the shadows and grabbed the Potions Dark Chip. "What a waste." He scoffed before digitizing away.

Luz smiled to Amity, who smiled back. The two spread their arms out, ending their CrossFusions, before catching their respective PETs.

"Wow, you're a natural," Luz said as Amity looked to her Synchro Chip before noticing she now had a purple streak in her hair, matching that of Hecate's. "And you Deleted a Darkloid in your first fight too!"

"Well, based on his known criminal record, I have no regrets," Amity said. "Besides, no one will be remembering Adegast any time soon."

"Wait… where are Edric and Emira?" Luz asked.

Luz and Amity turned to see where Edric and Emira had landed, and once they saw the position they were both in, both tried their hardest not to laugh.

Emira had landed on top of Edric, whose arms were splayed from her fall around her thighs. To make it more awkward, their faces were inches apart from each other. When they opened their eyes, they realized their position, causing Emira to glare at her brother.

"Ed… bring your arms down or head up, and I will punch off your face!"

"Noted." Edric said nervously before Emira got up first, allowing her to help Edric up. The two looked to Luz and Amity, who had composed themselves just in time.

"You did good, Mittens," Emira said. "I can't believe you're on Luz and Skara's level now! Our sister Deleted a Darkloid with her first CrossFusion!"

"Yeah, we're proud of you," Edric said. "But I think it's best that Mom doesn't find out."

"Yeah, she's mad enough as it is, losing all her investors after those failed Darkloid retaliations." Amity said.

"Well, I knew you could do it," Luz said before holding her hand up. "Nice work, Amity!"

"Yeah," Amity said, holding her hand up before slapping it against Luz's. "You too."

"Let's head home, before Mom loses it even more." Emira suggested.

"See you around, Amity," Luz said. "I'll send you the money to help pay for the damages."

"It's okay, I can explain it in the morning," Amity replied as they walked past the book on Mr. Wily. "This is supposed to be…" she started before everyone saw Mr. Wily walking from the shadows, smiling.

"Dr. Albert W. Wily." Luz said.

"Don't worry. I know that I am not real here, and that I came from that biography," Mr. Wily said. "But I do know about CrossFusion, and can share with you more about my knowledge… if you indeed read that book."

Luz smiled. "Lan and Kim were right. You really have changed."

"Take care, Luz. You're doing well." Mr. Wily said before fading back into the book, closing itself soon after.

"Take it," Amity said, handing the book to Luz. "I spoke with the staff, and they said you could have it. It's yours now."

"Thanks," Luz replied before she was given another book. "Wait, this is one I was looking for," she realized before turning back to Amity. "But how?"

"We approved you for a Library Card," Amity replied, handing Luz the library card with a picture of her on it. "I think I know who this is for."

"Thanks," Luz said before hugging Amity. "You're the best."

Amity blushed a bit before hugging back. "You too," she said before the two released themselves. "But you'd better watch out. Now that I've got Hecate and can CrossFuse, I want a rematch."

"Oh, you're on!" Luz playfully accepted.

"Maybe it could be for the Dem-N1 Grand Prix." Edric suggested.

Luz blinked in surprise upon hearing this. "Huh?"

"Well, when Skara, Gus, Willow and Mittens showed and told us everything they learned about Lan and MegaMan, we got real interested in their N1 Grand Prix," Emira explained. "So, we've all been talking ever since getting our own NetNavis, and are trying to put together our own version, known as the Dem-N1 Grand Prix!"

"Get the play on words there?" Edric asked playfully.

"Yeah, she gets it," Amity said. "Anyways, maybe we should meet up with Skara and the others after a rest? We can tell you more about that, and help out with your little problem too."

"Yeah, that would be great," Luz replied before looking to the book on Mr. Wily. "Got a lot to read up on for this, but it can wait," she said before walking off, waving to Amity. "Rest well!" she called before walking off.

Amity and her siblings all waved back at Luz as she walked off to the Owl House. The three looked to each other and laughed before walking off back to Blight Manor.

At the Emperor's Palace, several Coven Scouts were being guided to the Healing Ward, with Lilith watching them alongside the Golden Guard.

"Impossible," the Golden Guard said. "They went up against that Pandora Darkloid, all of our strongest, and she beat them all without suffering a scratch!"

"I warned you that this would be a death wish," Lilith said. "And as of recent this morning, I've had to deal with protestors who are demanding to know why Belos was wrong," she scowled before walking off. "This is all on him. Don't tell him I didn't warn him."

In the Throne Room, Emperor Belos growled as he saw reports of several protests. All of them were calling him out on how wrong he was in foretelling that the Titan would destroy a Darkloid under his Coven's power. His anger soon boiled when he saw a report of Adegast labeled as deceased, recalling how this demon had been turned into a Darkloid known as GrandeurMan.

"These outliers must be stopped," Emperor Belos said before dismissing all of the reports. He looked to one more of Luz and Azura before burning it. "I have never seen anyone quite as annoyingly talented as you. But when I finally find the power I seek for my goal, you will pay for getting in my way, Luz Noceda." He swore before extinguishing all of the lights, the picture of Luz burning to ashes as the room now went dark.

Arriving back at the Owl House, Luz found Eda and King asleep with the babies. She smiled at the sight before Hooty slammed the door open.

"Ding Dong again!"

"Hooty!" Luz prepared to scold until a large demon came in. She had a large human head with grey skin, thin eyebrows, red lipstick, black silky hair, and bat wings that acted as her arms with talons for her feet.

"Whoa, I guess you're mama!"

"Yes. Momma is I, and I is the Bat Queen," the creature, now known as the Bat Queen, said before letting out a loud whistle. It seemed to be only heard by the babies as they flew to her. "Ah, snuggle dumplings," she awed before vomiting up a chest filled with snails, as well as a decorative whistle on top. "For troubles, Eda is owed one. Farewell, Luz Noceda. I wish you luck on protecting us all." She said before flying off.

"Well, I'm not touching that," Luz said as she waved, with Azura coming out to wave as well. "Nice that she knows me too."

At that moment, Eda and King started to wake up. Upon not feeling the babies around them, they started to panic.

"The babies! Where are the babies?" Eda asked.

"The Bat Queen came and picked them up." Luz replied.

"Ohh," Eda said, disappointed. "And I just taught Junior how to pick locks too."

"Well, if it helps, I got you this." Luz said, walking over and handing Eda a book.

Eda took the book, revealing it to be titled How To Cope With Empty Nest Syndrome.

"Thanks, Kid," Eda said with a smile. She noticed Luz's nearly battered state. "What happened to you last night?" she asked.

"Long story, but Amity can CrossFuse now," Luz casually said before letting out a yawn. "Don't wake me for the next few hours. I need a long rest." She said, unaware that she dropped the autobiography on Mr. Wily.

"Weh?" King asked, looking to the book for a long time. Eda took a look as well, and as Hooty came to glance at it, her eyes widened, just as Azura picked it up.

"Where did you find that?" Eda asked.

"In the library, but we were allowed to keep it," Azura said. "This guy led World Three and Grave, and was the one who raised Dr. Regal and Ms. Yuri. How it ended up here, we intend to find out." She said before walking up to join Luz.

All the while, they failed to notice the horrified faces on Eda, King and Hooty's faces.
