Hakuno's day was going normal or as normal as she could think of finding out that the cognitive world existed and that her cousin and her friends where running around it as
'Thieves' she wasn't too sure why they had to be thieves but that's what they called themselves.
It required a few jumps of logic… they did mention Kamoshida's 'Palace' perhaps they are going to be able to use it to steal something from Kamoshida? And use it as possible blackmail? Then again it would be a world of thoughts… maybe they could steal some memories and get him to not expel the two boys? It would make sense, Ann did mention that she wouldn't let them get expelled…
Though to think that there existed another Texture. Hakuno felt like that would be the right word.
Block!
Hakuno was brought back to reality as a piece of chalk came straight towards her head, she lifted up her notepad to stop it as it clattered onto her desk.
"Tch. Kishinami pay attention."
"Sorry."
"Makes sense that the robot could stop it." Hakuno heard someone whisper. She sighed as she began taking notes.
"Did you hear that she and Niijima-senpai are dating?"
Hakuno was incredibly confused now.
"How can Hakuno have a Palace!?" Ann was scared and furious, as she and the rest of the thieves were in Kamoshida's Palace, the only place she was mostly sure that others couldn't hear. She already checked if it was in the Mementos' place, and she wasn't so that meant it was a full on Palace.
She doubts Hakuno would go by herself into the Palace.
Morgana looked confused, "A Palace is a place of distorted desires… if Hakuno has strong negative distorted thoughts it's possible she has a Palace…"
"... Do you think we should change her heart?" Akira said, pushing off against the wall of the safe room.
"I don't know…" Ann truly didn't know, "We only have 8 days before you guys get expelled… And Hakuno hasn't done anything."
"It might be based on repressed trauma from her previous life." Morgana pipes up.
It would make sense… Hakuno seemed very reluctant to talk about actual details of the 'Holy Grail War' and seemed genuinely upset seeing her birthmark glow.
"Would taking her treasure even solve anything?" Ryuji made a point… "Cause like, wouldn't it just make her confess and shit?"
"It would make her open up about her past… possibly or it could cause her to push forward from her past… If she has a Palace her past could be tying her down. Or could even spiral into depression from guilt… it would depend on. The source of trauma."
"We could find the keywords and take a look at least, we don't have to steal her treasure." Akira points out.
"How would we even find her keywords if it's based on her previous life?"
"Maybe she told us without thinking… here open the Meta-Nav, she said a lot of confusing stuff lets try…"
"Tokyo?"

"Moon." Akira remembered her saying Lunar Sea.

"Ok… The entire moon. What the fuck."
"She did say she was a Wizard, maybe they could go to the moon easily?" Akira pointed out.
"Now how the fuck does she see the Moon." Morgana shook his head at Ryuji.
"She seems uncomfortable about the place… maybe Jail, Prison?"

"Oo Perhaps Battlefield!" Ann doubted Hakuno would see the Moon like that..

"Ocean." Ann did remember that Hakuno had said digital sea.

"I think… for now let's finish Kamoshida's Palace, we can check Hakuno's Palace after we steal his treasure."
Ann watched the three nod in agreement. We will help Hakuno…
"Kishinami… I think I will take you up on your offer." Makoto had invited her to the student council room to talk. And Hakuno didn't know how to tell the ruby-eyed president that there are already weird rumors about the two.
Hakuno nodded, 'But… if Ann does do something to Kamoshida then it might get recorded…'
Hakuno still didn't fully grasp the Cognitive world, "I understand Niijima-Senpai, I'll find them tonight and link them with my smartphone. If I find anything I'll send it to you."
Makoto had a grimace on her face, "I can't just do nothing… I can't be useless."
Hakuno nodded, "Do you think you can plant them? I only have the two, one should go in his office and the other should go in the gym. In a place that won't get broken."
Makoto nodded wordlessly, "Thank you Hakuno I will.. try." Pausing slightly at Makoto calling her by her first name Hakuno nodded.
"Woohoo! Treasure route secured. Nice trick with the whole teleporting thing Akira." Ryuji was pumped. Finding out they can move from one safe room to another was super helpful. They were finally going to get back at that Bastard.
"Now we just need to send a calling card," Ryuji only half listened to Morgana talk.
"I'll write it! We just need to call him out, yeah?"
"Yep! Just don't mess up Skull. This is really important." Morgana piped up, Ryuji shook his head, He gots this.
"I got this alright!"
"Just make sure you leave it somewhere that he will see, and make sure it won't reveal who we are." Akira added, he at least seemed to have confidence in him.
"Hmm oh yeah. You got this Ryuji." Ann was distracted, leaving Ryuji to frown slightly.
Oh yeah. He forgot about her cousin from another world having some sort of crazy ass Palace that they will totally check out.
Ryuji shook the thought out of his 'Now time to write a kickass Calling Card!'
Ryuji was excited he could feel the lightning going through him as he rushed down the steps he had the perfect plan.
"Sir Suguru Kamoshida, the utter bastard of lust. We know how shitty you are, and that you put your twisted desires on students that can't fight back. That's why we have decided to steal away those desires and make you confess your sins. This will be done tomorrow, so we hope you will be ready. From, the Phantom Thieves of Hearts"
Hakuno read the note and out of the corner of her eye spotted her cousin. Seems that whatever they were planning to do was being done today. She sighed as she put one in her pocket. Would make an interesting thing to hang up on her wall, maybe they will do more of them?
"Hakuno…" Makoto approached her and going by how she was motioning her they went around a corner out of view.
"This wasn't you was it?"
Hakuno shook her head in the negative, "We haven't placed any bugs yet, I think it's some sort of prank… Though I think we should wait until after the heat dies down a bit…"
Makoto sighed, "This is going to be difficult…I hope it's just some prank, it seems as if a little kid wrote it..." Hakuno nodded, knowing that it had something to do with Ann and her friends… Perhaps she should ask them later.
Ann was annoyed, they were lucky they had a safe room near the treasure but having to lug the heavy ass crown out of the treasure room was annoyingly difficult. Not even counting Morgana drooling over the crown.
Why couldn't the Bastard's treasure be something smaller.
"Go go Kamoshida go~!" A volleyball smashed into the crown as it tumbled down to the waiting hands of that bastard in his disgusting speedo.
"For you three to brazenly attempt to steal my crown, the death penalty is too good." He placed the crown on his head as Ann could feel waves of pure energy push them back.
"But I think I should show you what real power is!"
Ann gasped as his form began to bubble and contort making sounds nothing should ever make.
His body grew huge as it became a pink four armed nude monster wielding a riding crop, a knife and a fork with a cup of red liquid in his arms. A golden goblet sat at his legs, she could feel the bile well up in her mouth as she saw his creepy as fuck long tongue and had four chained human like things attached to him.
Ann suppressed the shiver of disgust she felt as she could feel Carmen's warmth and presence.
Ann had to run for cover as he started stabbing down with the knife and fork watching as Ryuji pushed back against the fork.
Dozens of volleyballs came screaming towards her only to be met by balls of fire, "We need to knock the crown off his head!" Morgana shrieked as he used his cutlass to counter the knife.
Morgana then used the knife as a stepstone and launched himself into the shadows.
Ann knew Shadow Kamoshida would see him if they didn't keep him busy, so Ann did what she always wanted to do.
And summoned as many balls of flame as she could, taxing her mind as much as she felt she could safely handle.
"Carmen Maragi!" Dozens of flames shot out from her and smashed into Shadow Kamoshida's inflated head.
"That hurt you bitch!" Ann watched in horror as he dove his fork into the goblet in front of him and ate doll legs as a similar green aura healed him.
"Aim for the cup!" Akira didn't need to tell her twice.
Ann could feel the mental fatigue piling up as she unleashed more flames, narrowly dodging the fork as it came crashing down on her. Flames superheating the golden cup. Highfiving Akira she could feel the energy from the Baton Pass.
She still had zero idea how it worked but it did.
"Bufu!" A large ice shard crashed into him from Akira, his strange ability to have multiple personal helping immensely, as it led to the chalice being incredibly brittle. One final Baton Pass as he high fived the Ryuji who ran.
"Look at me asshole!" Ryuji yelled as one last slam of his mace shattered the chalice into thousands of pieces.
"That was from when I won the national... You think you can get away with doing such a thing? Do you realize who I am!? ...I am KING Kamoshida! Don't you get it!?" The thing screamed and yelled.
"Yeah so what?"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN SO WHAT!?I AM THE KING THE KING YOU HEAR?!"
"We know who you are, ya shitstain. This is us, we are Rebels, we are here to take your crown and end your crappy rule!" Ryuji sounded badass for once.
Ann suppressed a smile as Kamoshida raged like a child. "SHUT UP SHUT UP! How dare you keep defying me... Looks like I gotta bring out the big guns! Slaves! Bring over you-know-what!" The things detached from him and ran away bringing him a large volleyball. "Time for my killshot from when I was active and rockin' it! Killshot... as in I'll make the kill!"
Ann had a real bad feeling.
"EVERYONE BLOCK!" Akira yelled as Ann saw the familiar purple wave coming from Akira boosting their defense,
"The spike that seized the world!"
and the next thing Ann saw was black.
Akira was not having a good time, Ann was thrown back and seemed to be unconscious, Ryuji looked to have trouble standing and Morgana… was somewhere he lost track of him.
Hopefully he was ok and still going through the plan.
Akira switched to Kelpie and felt the familiar thrum of speed given to him by Sukukaja, pushing his body as fast he could he was over by Ann pressing one of their few Revival Beads into her mouth.
Akira sighed with relief as Ryuji also lit up with the familiar green glow of Dia, leading him to believe Morgana was still around looking for an opportunity.
Akira grunted in pain as he pushed himself up munching on a Life Gem, they just had to distract him. Akira switched Berith and charged up, the familiar red aura coming off him as the Phantom Cavalryman appeared behind him charging at the pink giant.
"HOW DID YOU SURVIVE!" He flailed, Akira let out a small chuckle.
"Your kill shot is just like you! Overrated!" Akira was glad they didn't send Ryuji after the crown, the talkative blonde would have easily gotten himself found. Akira rolled, unloading his Makaronov Pistol into his head.
"GRRR WAIT…. ONE OF YOU IS MISSING!?" Crap
He noticed.
"Nya-hahaha-hahaha!" Morgana came spinning from the second floor like a top, Zorro pushing him faster with a gust of wind as he smashed into the crown knocking it to the floor.
Akira had to admit he found it funny that Pink Kamoshida couldn't move and desperately tried to reach for the crown.
"All together now! ALL OUT ATTACK!" All four of them launched into him the cognitive world, speeding them up as Kamoshida lay stunned from the loss of his crown.
Akira loved the feeling of the wind whipping around him as he sunk his knife into the immobile form of Kamoshida, with a swift up swing he felt something give.
"DAMN You!" Kamoshida's body started to break apart into black dust, revealing his nearly nude disgusting form with fear in his eyes.
Akira watched as Ann slowly walked up to him as he scrambled backwards towards the open door, crawling towards it clutching the crown in his hands.
Akira held up a hand towards Ryuji, "Ann gots this."
Ryuji reluctantly nodded as they followed behind the two, keeping a wary eye out for any skulking shadows.
Akira sighed as he watched Kamoshida try and explain himself to Ann… the worst thing he could have done really as she got even more furious.
"Scared yet? You're seeing the same view that Shiho saw… except she had no choice…"
"So what will you do? Jump or die here?" Ann brandished her whip and Carmen appeared behind her.
Akira took a breath as he watched Carmen summon volleys of Kamoshida looked remorseful…Carmen and Ann didn't back down, the smaller flames fused to one as he mentally called forth Jack O'Lantern…
Ann purposely missed.
Akira let loose a breath of relief as Ann still looked pissed, with tears in her eyes she spoke, "If his mind shuts down, he can't admit the crimes he caused."
Kamoshida let out a soft chuckle, "I've lost… You're through when you lose… What am I- what can I do now?"
"Repent you bastard! Afterall you have done to us! Turn yourself in!"
Shadow Kamoshida nodded, "You're right… I'm coming home…"
"NEXT TIME TELL US IF THE WHOLE PLACE WOULD COME DOWN!"
"HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW!?"
Hakuno watched in mild amusement at the three humans and one cat that appeared out of nowhere.
"I thought I would find you four here…"
The two froze hearing her voice and Hakuno couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle, "If anyone asks, you guys where with me today… They will think you guys had something to do with the whole calling card."
"Thanks cuz," Ann said, patting her shoulder.
"You four look exhausted… Perhaps we should all get some dinner?"
"Wait, what about the treasure?" Morgana shrieked as he looked towards Akira…
Treasure?
Akira had a gold medal in his hand… "Did you steal his medal?" Hakuno whispered to Ann.
Ann shook her head, "No it had to do with that place you know?"
So it was a cognitive version of his medal? How would that solve their problems?
Hakuno shrugged, as helped the exhausted four towards the nearby ramen shop to celebrate.
Author's Note: Not a whole lot of Hakuno this chapter, but eh that's sometimes how it must happen.
Setting up Hakuno's Palace will take place at the same time as Madarame, with Hakuno's Palace being a bit more stressful. I'll just say, a lot less Shadows then most Palaces. Also decided to try and keep track of dates to make sure I don't miss anything. Thank you kerrowe and maxkaufman2002 for the suggestion.
