Hakuno yawned, the previous night was interesting. She did get concerned about Futaba though, only a few minutes after Akira and Makoto took the Twins back to their 'home' she became extremely flushed to the point that Hakuno decided it would be best to get her home, sadly they had missed the train Makoto and Akira took.

Pushing those thoughts out of her mind, at least today she can relax, she only had to do the minor assignment to finish detailing the difference in Ghost Encounters. Afterward, she planned to finish reading Nero's plays.

She flipped through the old book, 'They made as much sense as they did in the past…' which… was not a lot...

"Hakuno, do you think I should wear this or this?" Ann held up two nearly identical tops she could not tell the difference. It had been, a glance at Ann's alarm clock, three hours and Ann had yet to decide on her outfit.

She shrugged, Ann went back into her pile of clothing, "You know Hakuno, you should be helping me figure out what I'm going to wear, it would make things go faster." Hakuno could only shrug.

"Ann, we are meeting one of Akira's Friends."

"She's a Psychic!"

"Fortune Teller Ann, it's different. And besides, you have Magecraft" Ann shrugged at that, before humming to herself. Mifune had responded late last night asking to meet, and perhaps introduce her to someone.

"This is the place?" Hakuno frowned slightly at Ann's question, she glanced back at her phone.

"Yes… Asshouken, Mifune should already be here, Akira says he will pay us back for our meals as well. Not sure why but he mentioned Bonds?" Akira was strange sometimes.

"He is a strange one… incredibly reliable he's somehow explored Tokyo more than us and we've lived here for years." Ann sighed slightly as the duo entered the restaurant and only took a moment to find Mifune who sat alone at a four-person table, she gleefully waved them over as she spotted them.

"Ah, Hakuno, seeing you again is a pleasure." Her eyes flicked to Ann, "And it is a pleasure to meet you…?"

"Ann, Ann Takamaki," She held out her hand as she shook Mifune's hand, "Hakuno's Cousin, Akira's my friend as well." Mifune nodded, "Sorry if I'm intruding I was just extremely curious about your profession."

Mifune gave a soft smile, "Oh?" A glint in her eye, "Do you perhaps want to joi-"

Hakuno coughed slightly, "Mifune, please don't." Mifune gave a strained smile to that. Akira had complained about her group when they went after Yuichi Fukurai.

"Ah, it was just a joke, I left that group a while ago, it was far too predatory, Fortune Telling should be aimed at helping people not selling them… salt." Ah, that's where the salt came from…

Hakuno nodded slightly, "Mind doing a reading for me? A um… love reading?" Ann sported a slight blush on her face

"Hmm… I don't typically work on my time off…but your Akira's friend so sure, that'll be 5,000 yen." Ann grimaced as she passed the bills over to her, Mifune brought out a stack of Tarot Cards." So what exactly do you wish to know?"

"There's this… boy and" Hakuno placed a hand on Ann's as a blush overtook her face, "Well, he is loud, obnoxious, and downright dense… but he is also caring, confidant, and always willing to stick up for his beliefs." Mifune gave a small nod as she brought out her deck.

"I see, and you wish to know how compatible you are with him?"

"Yeah," Ann's eyes widened, "If you can see if we would end up together as well maybe?"

She chuckled at that, "Fate is not absolute, however…" A flicker of something she could tell Ann felt it too as she stiffened slightly. Three cards were flipped, the Hermit, The Lovers, and the Star. "Hmm, Your two's past involves a great deal of looking in on yourselves, perhaps there was a time when you hid things from each other? But now with the Lovers as the present, with your trials overcome you two have reconnected and made a strong connection, with the Star as long as you remain truthful to each other your future should be bright."

Mifune had to have magical powers, but seemingly only related to Fortune Telling, all Hakuno can tell is that it worked on something other than Magecraft or the Metaverse…

"That's… good, real good," Ann mumbled, the blush only growing.

"Of course as Fate is not absolute you should only take it as guidance, but if you take that first step I hope you will be rewarded." Mifune flashed them a smile. "Now for Hakuno, you were inquisitive about the 'Seeker' correct?"

Hakuno gave a small nod, "I have been referred to that by a few… people who are unable to inform me of what it means for me, they refer to most of Akira's friends as the Major Arcana but single me as a 'Seeker'.

"Well," Mifune sighed, "I have been doing some research and it is a very unusual take on a possible Hermit Major Arcana. However, I did find a specific book online that mentioned it taking the place of the Fool in the Fool's Journey."

The Fool, New Beginnings, freedom, and idealism if she remembers, but…

"That doesn't sound like a Seeker?"

"That's why it was a bit challenging to find," Mifune brought out a deck, still wrapped in plastic, "I did purchase a deck that I felt most connected to that included the Seeker, if you would like I would love to give you a reading, on the house of course."

"But you just made me pay…" Ann moaned as she leaned on the table. Hakuno gave a slight nod.

Mifune unwrapped the deck, shuffling it carefully, before revealing six cards; A small child carrying a light surrounded by darkness, A man wearing Greek armor atop a carriage, a moon crashing into a Tower, a lone wizard scribing onto parchment, a pitch black card, and a small tiny reversed Star. The same ripple occurred.

"Hmm… The Seeker will go on a journey with ambition and inner strength to lead her but will be wrought with obstacles and challenges, with inner reflection and reflection they…" She frowned, "They will face the end, and only then will they find Hope."

Ann went still, "What gives? You sound like you're basically righting her off?" Hakuno cringed at Ann's statement.

"But! Fate is not absolute!" Mifune's eyes bore into Hakuno, "Whenever I divine Akira's fate it always ends in Death as well, but I fully trust that you two will not face something like that, you two taught me that Fate is never absolute.

"Ann, it's ok." She tugged on her sleeve, Ann frowned at her as she sat back down with a huff, "So, the Seeker finds her truth only at the end huh…" That… fits what she did in the Moon Cell.

Only on the last day when she spoke with Twice did she truly believe in her wish. Hakuno sighed, she escaped the Moon Cell, her fate to die.

So she will escape this fate as well.

"Oblivion might not mean death, it means an end, it might be the end of your 'life' but an end to a cycle of sorts, and if I read the symbolism correctly it should represent acceptance as well."

"I understand, thank you for finding this information as well as the reading." She didn't know what to make of it, wasn't their current journey lining up the same way? So does she need to do anything different or special?

And… Oblivion, is that what awaits? Is that at the end of her life? Or is it the end of… the Metaverse events? Could Oblivion be referring to that? She sighed, In the end, I still need to figure out what I want, what is the Truth that drives me?

… Could that be the question?

What does she want from this life?

No. It can't be something simple like that, could it?

Hakuno sighed, "Thank you for your time, Mifune, I think I need to go home and think." Ann gave her a slightly worrying look but Hakuno hoped her small smile was reassuring enough.

'Going by… what the Twins and their strange Master have been implying, Akira is essentially doing a Fool's Journey. If so, then… what was the purpose of the Seeker in the Fool's Journey?'

Hakuno glanced at her phone making sure she was in the right place from Akira's message, she felt Morgana as he rubbed his body against her leg, "Oh there you are."

"Those idiots left me out here," He grumbled, "Apparently cats aren't allowed in Maid Cafes…" Hakuno sighed and Morgana jumped into her bag. "It's stupid I am not a cat…" he mumbled. Hakuno knew it was best to let that matter lie.

"You know they forget that," Hakuno added slowly, "You're so much of a human they forget others can't see you as one."

"Mmm… we should hurry up and finish Mementos to get my body back…" Hakuno gave a small nod as she turned the dial of a capsule machine. Darn another Daisoujou… She sighed before placing it beside Morgana.

"Mementos is getting more and more dangerous… I wasn't sure of it until Sugimura's Mini-Palace, but we should start preparing more for each dive." The last two weeks in Seraph were the same, the deeper they dig the more dangerous it is becoming.

"I know… Hey Hakuno, you guys know I'm… grateful right?" Morgana's voice was small, she patted his head gently.

"You're are our friend. Whether you are a cat or human, I doubt any of us would treat you differently." She could hear Morgana huff before curling into her bag.

She almost missed the soft "Thanks." Hakuno smiled softly as she leaned, looking down on Mansei Bridge, maybe she should get some Sushi for the small not-a-cat. Perhaps… instead of trying to figure out her own questions and truths she should just see how things go for now. She has the rest of her life to figure that out…

"Hakuno?" She blinked as she heard her name, turning around she saw the fluffy-haired gardener.

"Oh, hello Haru, how are you feeling?" Haru chuckled as Morgana poked his face out of her bag.

"Haru you are ok!" He jumped into her arms, she awkwardly caught him. He may not be a cat but he sure behaves like one sometimes…

"Yes, I am better. But perhaps it might be best to take this somewhere private?" Hakuno did notice a fair amount of people were around them… "I know of a perfect place, Mona-chan would even be able to walk around!"

"Oh! Yes! Let's go Hakuno!" How could she say no to his pleading look?

"I wanna go home…" Morgana grumbled as he jumped back into her bag.

"Meow?"

Hakuno giggled as she petted one of the small orange cats. Her eyes scanned the cat café, other than the kittens no one was bothering to get close. "I love to come here when my day is going particularly bad." Haru giggled as a small white kitten sniffed Hakuno's bag before she placed the kitten on her lap, the little one mewing as she petted it.

"Is it going bad?" Morgana's teeth clenched the zipper only letting a small amount of his face peak out as he hid from his many admirers.

Haru gave them a smile before handing Hakuno her phone.

Hakuno blinked, putting the phone in a way they both could watch they saw Sugimura crying, he was bawling on the floor clutching something and kept saying, "Please no more Haru please please I'm sorry please."

Hakuno glanced at the heiress as she sipped her tea, a little kitten on her lap completely unfazed. "It goes on for another six minutes. He called two days afterward and ever since Futaba taught me how I recorded the phone call, one of his maids heard him collapse and rushed in to turn off the phone."

"That's good!" Morgana flashed his teeth in a smile, and the small kitten on Hakuno's lap noticed and pounced on her bag. "Gah!"

"He currently is being held as psychiatrists examine him, Father has yet to end my… engagement with him but he surely will once he gives in to the police. He has told me his extensive rap sheet." Haru's smile was frightening. "Of course, I don't intend to release this video to the public unless his Father refuses to see reason."

She was glad Haru was on their side, Morgana huffed and pushed to send the kitten flying off the chair, the cat landing gracefully mewing at Morgana, "So Haru, wanna join us? Become a Phantom Thief?"

Haru was quiet, her fingers paused momentarily, "Even after my blackmail?" Hakuno gave a light nod, Haru was desperate for help…"I would love to… However, for the foreseeable future, I cannot leave for more than a few hours at a time, however, if you need advice or a sounding board I will be more than glad to assist in any way I can." Hakuno nodded a slight relief through her body.

At least she will be safe…

Hakuno placed a hand on Haru's, "If that is your decision."

She ignored Morgana's hissing as more and more kittens came to him. "Thank you, Hakuno… although, I um… got this strange App on my phone." She flicked, and the Metaverse Navigator glared its ominous red at her.

"Ah, that's how you get into the Metaverse, be careful if you intend to click on it, if keywords are mentioned that are related to a Palace then there is a chance you might wind up in the Metaverse and not notice, as long as you don't click on it there should be nothing in it…" Haru's expression gave her a pause, "There is nothing in it… right?"

"My… Father." That… was to be expected, Hakuno had not been deaf to Ryuji and Mishima's investigation, Ryuji in particular was confident in it due to the online rumors being spread.

"Haru…"

"It is fine Haku-chan, I believe that given time he will realize his mistakes… he is currently working alongside that man's Father to ensure the success of our company… he just needs more time." Haru's smile hurt Hakuno's heart.

But.

"Haru…" Morgana jumped onto her lap, "If you want us to investigate…"

She shook her head, "No, at least, not right now. If he truly is unable to be reached… then I…" Hakuno grabbed Haru's hand.

"We will talk about that only if it comes to it."

"Thank you."

Author's Note: And that's a wrap! So with the Tarot Card reading I did my best, I'm no expert on Tarot Cards, but I used their base definitions and read a few ways to read them so if they are wrong please give me a heads up.

;.;

Maybe Persona 6 could have the 'Fortune Teller' character as a Teammate? So the games could delve deeper into their meaning with the whole Persona stuff, I think it would be cool, maybe be their Navigator?

Anyways, that's all I got for this chapter.

Oh, I am working on another story now, its another Hakuno story about her in the Johto Region of Pokémon! It's a bit of a side story i intend to, once she starts exploring, to have it one week while this fiction is on the other week. If I have the motivation to keep writing it, I will finish this story.
