God of Wind 200: There's a short conversation between Kohaku and Sesshomaru's mother that states otherwise. After learning that Kohaku was revived by the Jewel, Sesshomaru's mom tells him that Tenseiga cannot revive him. This implies that Tenseiga cannot resurrect someone if they've already been revived by someone/something else.

Chapter 10 – Team 7 vs. Zabuza!

Team 7 was quiet as the boat they occupied departed the mainland and brought them swiftly and silently to the island that comprised the Land of Waves. Learning the reason why Tazuna had lied about how much danger he was in, that one of the wealthiest men in all the Elemental Nations had a stranglehold on the Land of Wave's economy and would stop at nothing to ensure that Tazuna's bridge – the country's sole hope of economic freedom – would never be completed, had doused much of the enthusiasm the three Genin had for their first mission outside of Konoha.

As their Sensei had stated, the presence of Chuunin-level assassins meant this mission was now B-Rank. Given his opulence, the trio held no doubts that Gatou had more ex-Shinobi of at least similar, and likely superior, prowess on his payroll. Tazuna truly had no choice but to lie to Konoha while submitting his mission request. Thanks to Gatou bleeding the country dry, there was barely enough money in the entire Land of Waves to pay for a C-Rank mission. Submitting a request, and reward, for a B-Rank mission was impossible given the circumstances.

'Thank Kami I'm not the Hokage.' Kakashi sighed as the boat neared the island's shoreline. 'Typically, if a client lies about a mission's danger and the mission still proceeds, the difference in payment between the mission's false rank and its true rank would be collected instantly upon the mission's completion. That clearly won't be possible given the current circumstances. In deference to the Land of Wave's plight, Lord Hokage could choose to allow Tazuna to remit the remainder of what he owes at a later time; he could also reduce or even eliminate the payment total.

All three options have drawbacks. Delaying the payment to a later time introduces the problem of interest and would further ruin the Land of Waves in the long run, but discounting or waiving the mission fee could make Konoha look weak in the eyes of future clients. On the other hand, showing generosity to the Land of Waves now could benefit Konoha in the future. The power of goodwill is not to be underestimated.'

"We're here." The boat's pilot grunted. Tazuna thanked him as he and Team 7 disembarked.

"All right, everyone, full combat readiness from this point onwards." Kakashi ordered. "Our next enemy will almost certainly be Jonin level."

Hinata activated her Byakugan while Naruto expanded his superhuman senses of hearing and smell to their maximum effective range. He was still adapting to his augmented senses; filtering out unwanted noises and scents demanded more concentration at the moment than he would like given how dangerous this mission was. Only Hinata's Byakugan prevented him from needing to expand his supernatural vision to its full range as well, which would have demanded even more concentration.

Sasuke considered activating his Sharingan – the Kekkei Genkai had awakened during a particularly brutal sparring session that Naruto had insisted on near the end of their time off – but decided against it. When used for reconnaissance, the Byakugan's visual prowess was vastly superior to the Sharingan. While Sasuke had more Chakra than Hinata and could theoretically maintain the Sharingan for a longer period of time, his inexperience with it inevitably caused him to waste Chakra while using it. Hinata had been training in the Juuken, which all but necessitated the use of the Byakugan, for nearly her whole life. Though she had not yet mastered the use of the Hyuuga Dojutsu, the amount of Chakra she wasted was negligible when compared to Sasuke's.

"Kakashi-sensei, I smell steel, but it's off, almost like there's a scent of blood mixed into it!" Naruto said just loudly enough for the five of them to hear as they entered a wooded area with a lake just ahead of them.

"There's something coming! I'm not sure wha- oh, Kami, GET DOWN!" Hinata shrieked as she swiftly dragged Tazuna to the ground. Kakashi, Naruto, and Sasuke were only half a second behind her, barely avoiding the gigantic sword flying through the air like a buzzsaw. After narrowly missing its targets, the blade defied gravity and assumed an upwards arc, embedding itself in a nearby tree. A shirtless man whose muscles seemed to overflow from his torso and arms appeared before them, landing from his unknown leaping point onto the exceptionally long hilt of his weapon.

"Kakashi Hatake of the Sharingan and a Hyuuga brat, looks like I'll have some fun on this job after all!" The assassin growled through a set of bandages that covered his lower face like a mask. A Kiri headband adorned the man's face.

"Zabuza Momochi, Devil of the Hidden Mist. You three, defensive positions around the VIP; do NOT engage the enemy." Kakashi ordered as he lifted his headband to rest above both of his eyes, exposing his Sharingan.

"Using that legendary eye already, Kakashi-san? I'm honored to see the Copy Ninja fight at his best!" Zabuza dropped off the hilt of his sword, grabbing it on his way down before kicking off the tree to free his blade from it. Kakashi expected Zabuza's target to be either himself or Tazuna, but the ex-Kiri Jonin surprised him by catapulting himself towards the lake. Landing on the water's surface as if it were solid, Zabuza raised his hand above his head and a thick mist manifested from his position, concealing him from sight completely before spreading out in all directions.

"Kirigakure no Jutsu!" (Hiding in Mist Technique)

"Kakashi-sensei, this mist is composed entirely of Chakra; my Byakugan can't see through it!" Hinata panicked.

"Calm down, Hinata; Zabuza-san will aim for Kakashi-sensei first. He's the biggest threat here." Naruto dared not move from his position but did his best to calm his fiancé with only his voice.

"Eight choices: the liver, the lungs, the spine, either clavicle vein, either neck vein, the brain, the kidneys, or the heart. The destruction of any of these vital areas guarantees a kill; which one shall I go after this time? So hard to choose!" Zabuza's menacing voice echoed in the surrounding mist.

Hinata's Byakugan was effectively blinded due to the mist being made of Chakra; Naruto was similarly handicapped. The forest clearing they were in was a natural echo chamber, making it very difficult to discern Zabuza's location by sound. Furthermore, the mist created by Zabuza's Jutsu functioned exactly like natural mist. The immense amount of water vapor in the air cleansed Zabuza's body and erased his scent. Though Naruto's enhanced physique granted him much better night vision than most humans, a perk that was quickly becoming relevant as the mist surrounding them blotted out the sun, he had not felt the need to cultivate that sense given his other superhuman senses and the Dojutsu wielded by his teammates.

'If we survive this, I'm adding vision training to my regimen." Naruto thought grimly.

Sasuke had activated his Sharingan, but he was currently convinced it was doing him more harm than good. His enhanced vision enabled him to see every minute shift in the mist surrounding them, but the accursed fog was far too thick for Sasuke to discern Zabuza's position. Every time the mist shifted towards them he panicked, unable to effectively resist the killing intent exuded by the Devil of the Hidden Mist. Though he could no longer see his friends, Sasuke knew they had to be suffering as well.

'Damn it! The bastard wants us too scared to properly react, and there's not a damn thing we can do to stop him!' The last Uchiha cursed.

"Team 7, calm yourselves! I will not allow you to die." Kakashi spoke softly, yet firmly.

"You shouldn't lie to children!" Zabuza sneered as he emerged from the mist, right in the middle of the three Genin! "Game over!" Zabuza spun on his heel, intending to cut all three of Kakashi's students in half with one motion, but he underestimated Kakashi's speed and was impaled by a kunai as the Copy Ninja tackled him to the ground. However, the body Kakashi struck dissolved into water, leaving him barely enough time to turn his head and look behind himself before another Zabuza sliced him two!

Gatou's assassin had to eat his unspoken taunt as Kakashi's body also dissolved into water. 'Very impressive, he managed to copy my Mizu Bushin no Jutsu even in this mist!'

"I believe you said 'game over' earlier? I'd have to agree at this point. Don't move." Kakashi held a kunai against Zabuza's neck.

"Heh, you're damn right!" Another Zabuza – the real one – appeared behind Kakashi and kicked him into the lake. As Kakashi broke the water's surface, Zabuza closed the distance and weaved a series of hand seals before stretching out his right hand in a grasping motion.

"Suirou no Jutsu!" (Water Prison Technique) An immense amount of lake water encircled Kakashi before condensing into a sphere. The water's pressure was not enough to crush him but severely slowed his movements, making it nearly impossible for Kakashi to weave hand seals. Luckily, enough air from just above the lake had been trapped with him to form an air pocket, enabling Kakashi to breathe despite being completely submerged.

"Kakashi-san, we'll finish our playtime in a bit. First, I need to eliminate both my target and three brats playing at being Shinobi!" With his free hand, Zabuza dispelled the mist he created earlier and conjured another Mizu Bushin. The freshly spawned water clone ran towards Tazuna and the Genin guarding him.

"Raiton: Denshuriken no Jutsu!" Hinata's electric shuriken caught Zabuza, and his clone, by surprise. The Mizu Bushin was decimated. The Hyuuga heiress could see with her Byakugan that Zabuza was utilizing nearly all of his Chakra to keep Kakashi restrained. Additionally, the assassin would not be able to move from his position since he had to keep in constant physical contact with his prison to maintain its integrity.

"You're mine!" Hinata declared as she repeated her Jutsu, pouring nearly a third of her remaining Chakra into it.

"Pathetic!" The ex-Kiri Jonin didn't even bother forming a proper defensive Jutsu; he simply channeled Suiton Chakra into the water in front of him and willed it to rise up. The swell of water absorbed the lightning shuriken completely, leaving Zabuza unharmed.

"That's impossible! Even if his defense blocked the shuriken themselves, the water should have conducted the electricity into him!" Hinata yelled.

"It is possible, if he created pure water just now." Naruto growled.

"Pure water?" Sasuke echoed.

"Water isn't inherently conductive; as it dissolves or moves through other substances it picks up countless mineral and ionic impurities. These impurities are what conduct electricity through water; if you remove them, water stops being a conductor and becomes an insulator. Kiri and Kumo are almost right next to each other, so I'd bet it's a fucking Academy graduation requirement for Kiri Shinobi to be able to purify water in their sleep!" The Namikaze lord spat.

"Very good, brat, full marks! If you weren't doomed to die in the next minute or so I'd say you have a bright future as a scholar!" Zabuza praised Naruto as he formed several more Mizu Bushin. They moved towards their targets with more care this time, clearly ready to block more electric shuriken.

"Katon: Gokakyu no Jutsu!"

"Futon: Daitoppa!" Sasuke and Naruto repeated the tactic that earned them their true graduation, creating a massive blast of wind-fanned flames. Zabuza's Mizu Bushin were consumed by the sheer heat of the blaze, but the man himself only had to exert slightly more effort to block the fire blast than what was needed against the earlier lightning shuriken.

"I see the game you're playing, brats! You're strong enough to kill my Mizu Bushin, so you're trying to see which of us can outlast the other given that I'm using most of my Chakra to seal your precious Sensei! But have you three stopped to consider that it's only due to sheer, dumb luck that he even has air to breathe inside that prison?! How much time do you think he has left?" Zabuza jerked his head towards Kakashi.

Kakashi's movements within the prison had come to an almost total stop compared to the flailing he exhibited immediately after he was trapped. The trio saw this and realized that, for the moment, this was a good thing. If Kakashi was out of breath, then he would be instinctively thrashing about within the prison in search of fresh air. If he had already drowned, then he would not be moving at all. However, the solace granted by this observation was fleeting, at best. The minimal movements also indicated that Kakashi was restraining himself to make his limited air supply last as long as possible.

No doubt the Copy Ninja had desperately wanted to scream a warning or order to his students, but he couldn't risk wasting the precious little air he had because he had no way of knowing if his voice could penetrate the highly condensed water forming the walls of his prison. Normally, sound travels much better through water than it does through air, but Zabuza had already demonstrated the capacity to alter the composition of the water he manipulates. All of Team 7 suspected that the Devil of the Hidden Mist could also ensure that no sound escaped a water prison of his own design.

"All-or-nothing time, guys!" Naruto shouted as Zabuza created a new batch of Mizu Bushin that had double the numbers of the previous batch. You two, Twin Tortoise Formation! I'm going to free our Sensei!" Naruto's Youki produced a flash of jade-green light as he shifted into his Daiyoukai form, momentarily blinding everyone else present. The Namikaze lord seized the opportunity to rush past Zabuza's Mizu Bushin. As he reached the edge of the lake, he utilized an application of his Youki that he had discovered during his vacation – telekinesis – to levitate over the water. He stopped after getting within a few feet of Zabuza and drew Tenseiga.

'Why have you drawn me? I am of no help to you against this foe!' The heavenly blade hissed.

'You can injure him, just not in the way you're thinking of. I swear, every one of my ancestors after Lord Sesshomaru must have had rocks for brains if none of them thought of what I'm about to do.' Naruto chided.

'I assure you, Lord Naruto, every conceivable method of circumventing my inability to kill mortals has been attempted. Countless Chakra applications and Youki spells have been utilized, yet my nature remains unchanged.' Tenseiga rebuked.

'Exactly. Everyone else tried so hard to think of a way to alter you that they overlooked the obvious. It just goes to show you that there are times when a Shinobi shouldn't look beneath the underneath.'

'What obvious truth have your predecessors missed?' Tenseiga inquired as Zabuza formed twenty Mizu Bushin around Naruto. Since Zabuza was running low on spare Chakra, this newest batch of clones formed much more slowly.

'Are you familiar with a series of physical principles often referred to as the Three Laws of Motion?' Naruto answered Tenseiga's query with a question of his own as the Mizu Bushin started to stabilize.

'How could I not be aware of them? The Laws of Motion are a fundamental aspect of nearly every – ' Tenseiga's voice cut out as she realized what Naruto was implying, and the young Daiyoukai got the distinct impression that the blade was flabbergasted.

'I'll admit that it's a very crude way to use a weapon as beautiful as you, but it would work, wouldn't it?' Naruto asked rhetorically as Zabuza's Mizu Bushin surrounded him.

'Yes, my lord, it most certainly would!' Tenseiga answered the rhetorical question in the most giddy tone Naruto had ever heard.

Sasuke wasted no time preparing his portion of the Twin Tortoise Formation. Deactivating his Sharingan was the first step; he would not need to track the enemy's movements once the formation was complete and could not spare the Chakra wasted due to his amateur use of the Sharingan. He cut open his left forefinger using one of his shuriken, ensuring that the cut was just deep enough to guarantee a small, steady flow of blood without causing severe injury. Once the desired effect was achieved, the Last Uchiha quickly smeared blood on one point of four shuriken and laid them in a circular formation around himself, Hinata, and Tazuna. The bloodied tips of each shuriken pointed towards the next shuriken in the circle.

Hinata's contribution to this formation did not require her blood but did require eight of her kunai to lie in a larger circle around the circle Sasuke created with his four shuriken, requiring her to move even faster to complete her part before Zabuza's Mizu Bushin were upon them.

Both Genin finished their preparations with mere seconds to spare and flashed through the hand seals required to activate the formation.

"Katon: Shuuenrou!" (Fire Release: Unyielding Flame Cage) Sasuke breathed a small, but immensely hot, stream of fire onto one of his blood-smeared shuriken. The miniature inferno was redirected towards the next shuriken in the circular formation as soon as it touched the blood. This process repeated itself twice more until a circle of condensed flames surrounded the two Genin and Tazuna. Immediately after the circle was complete, flames erupted from it and coalesced into a fiery dome. The three people inside the barrier were spared from the heat, but the grass just outside of it was incinerated almost instantaneously.

"Raiton: Shuurairou!" (Lightning Release: Unyielding Lightning Cage) Hinata's portion of the formation, activated at the same time as Sasuke's, involved utilizing the Raiton-imbued kunai she had prepared specifically for this purpose. Lightning arced between the eight kunai she laid out before rising to form a cage of electricity nearly identical to Sasuke's firewall.

A pair of Zabuza's Mizu Bushin learned the hard way that these twin barriers were too powerful for them to pierce. The remainder chose to wait. A Jutsu this powerful was brutal on the user's Chakra reserves. At best, Hinata and Sasuke had bought themselves a couple minutes, and they would be helpless afterwards.

"The First Law: Objects at rest and objects in motion remain perpetually in said states until acted upon by an external force!" Naruto shouted as he used his telekinesis to spin himself rapidly in place. His left arm, fully outstretched, held Tenseiga, and the blade cleaved the air at a speed rivaling that of a jet engine's maximum thrust. The immense centrifugal force produced an artificial waterspout that flung Zabuza's Mizu Bushin hundreds of feet into the air; they did not survive their ascension.

'The Second Law: The force exerted by an object in motion is equivalent to the mass of said object, multiplied by its current acceleration!' Tenseiga continued as Naruto halved the speed of his spin before flying straight at Zabuza. Unable to dodge, the ex-Kiri Jonin attempted to counter Naruto's corkscrew thrust with an uppercut slash. Naruto managed to catch the counterattack on Tenseiga but was forced even higher into the air than Zabuza's Mizu Bushin had been.

"Damn, he must have been desperate just now!" Naruto yelled as he halted his ascent and hovered in midair. "Now we'll have all the potential energy we need to finish the job!"

'Indeed, this ends now!' Tenseiga agreed as Naruto fell towards Zabuza, using his telekinesis to accelerate his descent far past terminal velocity.

"The Third Law!" Naruto and Tenseiga said in unison.

"All actions – " Naruto began as he streaked towards Zabuza.

'are opposed by equal reactions!' Tenseiga finished as she crashed into Zabuza's blade.

Were they present, observers from another world or a different age would not be faulted for assuming that the shockwave produced by the impact was caused by several dozen simultaneous C4 detonations. Naruto's life was saved by Tenseiga's barrier; Kakashi's prison became his lifeline as it retained its extreme density even as Zabuza released his hold upon it. Both had several minor injuries, and Kakashi was wheezing terribly, but they were, otherwise, unharmed.

The Devil of the Hidden Mist was not so fortunate. He'd barely had enough time to use the Kawarimi no Jutsu to switch places with one of his Mizu Bushin. The switch occurred in the instant the two blades collided. Even though his body was only subjected to that shockwave for milliseconds, the damage inflicted in that minuscule amount of time nearly defied belief. His beloved sword, Kubikiribocho, retained only an inch of its original blade, and the arm that held it was mangled into a grotesque parody of its former self. Only Kami's divine grace kept the pitiful limb attached to its master's body at all.

Ironically, Tazuna was now defenseless with Naruto and Kakashi still recuperating on the lake. Sasuke and Hinata were nearly out of Chakra, and their barriers had been dispersed by the shockwave, but the shockwave had also destroyed Zabuza's remaining Mizu Bushin. The assassin himself was in so much agony that merely staying conscious was an act of extreme willpower.

"Naruto, NEVER, EVER AGAIN!" How Kakashi managed to shout while nearly out of breath, as well as how he managed to be more intimidating while coughing up blood than Zabuza was while hiding in his mist, were mysteries that Naruto was not destined to solve.

"KAAKAAASHHHIIIIIIIII! BRRAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT!" Zabuza roared, and the lake reacted to his wrath as he channeled Suiton Chakra into it again. The lake seemed to devour itself as the surface churned and boiled, seeking to kill Naruto and Kakashi.

Naruto had used most of his Youki already and the remainder of his reservoir was nearly drained as levitated himself and Kakashi to the opposite side of the lake. While they were retreating, Kakashi started executing the longest series of hand seals Naruto had ever seen. The Ex-Anbu Commander was going through them with surgical precision, sacrificing speed for technique and potency, to ensure that this Jutsu ended the fight before things could get any worse.

"Suiton: Suiryuudan no Jutsu!" (Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique) Kakashi's draconic attack was formed from the very water that was assaulting him. Zabuza's raw application of Suiton Chakra was powerful, but it was spread thinly across the entire lake to ensure maximum area of effect. Conversely, Kakashi's Jutsu affected a much lower volume of water, and the Chakra used for it was far denser, allowing him to easily usurp Zabuza's control.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Zabuza saw his doom and attempted to reassert his control over the water rocketing towards him. He succeeded only in weakening Kakashi's Jutsu to half its original strength. The water dragon slammed into Zabuza and claimed what was left of his shattered arm, tearing it from its socket. The man was still alive but, given how quickly he was bleeding out, it was safe to say his life was now measured in minutes.

Team 7 surrounded the fallen assassin, each preparing to end their enemy's misery. Hinata's Byakugan sought the Tenketsu that would stop the heart when struck, Sasuke held a kunai superheated with Katon, Kakashi used the last of his Chakra to ready a Raikiri, while Naruto channeled the last of his Youki into the claws on his right hand and sharpened them to the point that they could slice through tempered steel.

"Hyouton: Hyouyari!" (Ice Release: Ice Spears) Before any of Team 7's deathblows could be struck, four spears of ice slammed down from the trees above them; each one landed where a human had been half a second before. As the four Konoha Shinobi leaped away, a masked individual wearing the garb of a Kiri Hunter-Nin appeared between them and Zabuza. The newcomer quickly threw a smoke bomb toward Zabuza's enemies before weaving hand seals for another Jutsu.

"Hyouton: Hyousanagi!" (Ice Release: Ice Chrysalis) The ice spears formed earlier bloated in size and merged to form an ice oval large enough to contain Zabuza. As the smoke cleared, Zabuza's savior levitated the mass of ice into the air and fled. A lesser variant of Zabuza's mist technique spread out behind the flying ice construct and defeated any attempt to discern the intruder's destination.

"Well, that complicates things." Kakashi said before fainting due to a combination of Chakra exhaustion from overusing his Sharingan and hypoxia from nearly drowning in Zabuza's water prison.

Chapter End

This fight was a joy to write. Having Naruto and Kakashi share the role of MVP, each doing their own part to take Zabuza down while Hinata and Sasuke worked together to keep Tazuna safe, felt much more plausible here than it would have ever been in canon. Naruto is well on his way to mastering the various powers Sesshomaru wielded throughout Inuyasha, though he's still nowhere close to equaling Sesshomaru's maximum output, and Sasuke/Hinata already have the benefit of a training arc. Canon-Sasuke was able to deal with Zabuza's Mizu Bushin during the fight on the bridge due to the extra stamina/Chakra control he got from mastering the tree-climbing exercise, so there's no reason he couldn't do the same in this fight. Especially since Hinata went through the same training arc and was helping him.

Kakashi may not have used the Sharingan here to copy Zabuza's Jutsu/movements or put him under a Genjutsu but he still had it open/active for the whole time he was in the water prison. He was in it longer here than in canon (due to Zabuza sending a bunch of Mizu Bushin after the Genin instead of just one), so Chakra exhaustion still being one of the main reasons he passed out makes sense. While in canon he learned the Water Dragon Jutsu during this fight, here he already knew it. He's said to have copied 1,000 Jutsu and Kiri and Konoha in this fanfic are, if not allies, then definitely not enemies given how badly they punished Kumo for invading Konoha. So Kakashi could easily have had a mission in or near Kiri that granted him an opportunity to learn the Water Dragon Jutsu.

I know not everyone will like that Naruto is able to use Tenseiga to injure and potentially kill mortal beings. Thing is, there's a scene that justifies it. Jaken once asked Sesshomaru why he never uses his own sword; Sesshomaru responds by slashing him with Tenseiga, showing him - and the audience/readers - that Tenseiga cannot kill. The caveat is that while the sword slash didn't injure Jaken it still knocked him to the ground, so the force behind the strike was not nullified by Tenseiga's anti-killing property.

Does this mean that Sesshomaru could have used Tenseiga to kill, or at least wound, mortal enemies in canon before he had access to Meidou Zangetsuha? On paper, yes IMO, but he never would have for a few reasons. Brute force was always Inuyasha's style of fighting; Sesshomaru's swordsmanship certainly incorporated his immense strength but it always emphasized speed and precision over raw power. Using Tenseiga to kill in this manner would require Sesshomaru to treat the sword, which he believed for most of the series (until he was told/shown otherwise) was created from one of his father's fangs, as a club instead of a proper blade. Given how much respect Sesshomaru has for his father, he'd never treat one of the last things he has to remember Toga by with such disrespect. Furthermore, being able to kill with Tenseiga before getting Meidou Zangetsuha defeats the purpose of Sesshomaru's character arc, so it wouldn't have worked from a narrative standpoint either.

Given Kakashi's order of "never again", Naruto won't be putting so much strength/speed behind Tenseiga that he effectively becomes a human meteor any time soon, but he will be using Tenseiga to inflict injuries upon mortal beings in the future.

Hyouton: Hyousanagi: Ice Release: Ice Chrysalis (B-Rank): a hollow mass of ice large enough to contain a person is generated around a target the user wants to protect. Once generated, the target is placed into cryostasis, vastly slowing their metabolism with the hope of delaying the progress of any life-threatening conditions long enough to save the target. The "chrysalis" is capable of levitation and can be moved at will by its creator. While in motion, the chrysalis releases a moderately potent variant of the Kirigakure no Jutsu, making it difficult to track the user's current position or intended destination.

Hyouton: Hyouyari: Ice Release: Ice Spears (C-Rank) – At least 4 spears composed of ice are created and launched towards a target. These spears can be used as mediums for other Hyouton Jutsu.

Katon: Shuuenrou: Fire Release: Unyielding Flame Cage (B or C-Rank) – The user breathes highly concentrated fire in a circle, which quickly rises to form a dome of flames. The outer side of the dome is extremely hot, incinerating almost anything that touches it. The inner side of the fire dome does not emit heat, allowing the user to protect both themselves and anyone else inside the cage. The Chakra used for the Jutsu must be very well controlled to maintain both the structural integrity and potency of the cage. However, this requirement can be somewhat mitigated by arranging shuriken coated in the user's blood in a circular formation before activating the Jutsu. If this method is used to perform the Jutsu, it becomes substantially less potent but much easier to control and maintain, lowering its Rank to C.

Raiton: Shuurairou: Lightning Release: Unyielding Lightning Cage (B or C-Rank) – Raiton variant of the above Katon: Shuurairou Jutsu. Almost everything stated for Katon: Shuuenrou applies to Raiton: Shuurairou; the only difference (aside from this Jutsu shocking anything that touches the outer side instead of burning it) is that the method of turning it into a C-Rank Jutsu does not involve the user's blood. Instead, they must use kunai imbued with Raiton via the Raiton: Denshuriken no Jutsu.
