I love Janto: Yeah, poor Jack. Hopefully he can get his head together enough in the hours before he catches up with his team, but what he really needs is Ianto. Once Ianto knows a bit about what happened, he'll look after Jack.
Nigel is actually a friend's garden ornament. She's taking him with her when she moves house soon and I joked that I hoped he didn't get lost en route; the journey is around 4000 miles by road and will take a couple of weeks because of her pets. Then this idea popped into my head, so I asked if she'd mind me writing it. There's a link to a picture of Nigel in the comments for the story over on my journal.
Ianto has seen it all, nothing really bothers him these days. Besides, he's Welsh and Nigel is a Dragon of sorts, so they were bound to get along, lol! And of course, they both have very good manners! Thank you.

Down in the archives, Ianto looked about cautiously, checking the coast was clear, before opening the secret panel and pulling a tin from its hiding place. Setting it on his desk, he opened it and selected two homemade gingerbread cookies shaped like Christmas trees, decorated with green and red glitter.
He'd just hidden the tin again and settled down to enjoy his cookies and coffee when Jack appeared.
"Oooh, cookies!"
Jack reached for one, only to have his hand slapped away.
"Hands off my cookies!"
"Sorry!" Jack retreated rapidly, chastened.
Ianto huffed.
No one came between him and his gingerbread!
