A frozen throne lay inside the frosted halls of Sir Fangar's Ice Fortress, atop a stone stairway. Great icicles of dark ice line the floor, illuminated by the eerie blue veins in the ice. Sitting on this throne, Sir Fangar looked down at his men, his spear clutched tightly in his hands as he glared at them with disappointment.

"So, you're telling me that your combined forces couldn't even deal with the measly forces of these pathetic little tribes and some rocks! And you dare call yourselves hunters!" he scolds with a growl, slamming his spear down, causing the ice veins to glow.

"I have half a mind to return you lot back to your dreamless sleep if you..." he began, until a burst of energy crossed through the place, stopping him in his tracks. His eyes glowing blue, the room seemed to get even chillier, and his mind was in deep contemplation.

"They've returned." He finally says, all knowing exactly what he meant, as an unspoken sense of dread lingered in the room. "We have no more time for games, we march onwards before they even have a chance to stop us!" Fangar declared, the ice spreading at an even more rapid and aggressive rate, as his forces moved on to attack.

While back at the Phoenix temple, the young group of adventurers are still in shock with what transpired. "What do you mean you've been expecting us?" Laval asks the still-unknown figure before them.

"Actually, I wasn't expecting you three, only the eagle," the enigmatic figure said, the red avian pointing towards Eris with his staff, who gasped as tiger guards surrounded the group. They separate Eris away from the others and guide her towards their leader.

"I am Fluminox, sovereign of the phoenix, the ancient tribe of the fire wings," he says, spreading his wings, which become ignited with flames. "Relax, the phoenix won't hurt us, they called me here," Eris assured her friends, looking back at them from her spot.

"You mean, you know these guys?!" Cragger asked with concern, still surrounded by the tigers. "Well... Only in my dreams." Eris admitted embarrassed, much to the bewilderment of the others.

Back on the ground, the hunters spread their ice around Chima, almost having a whole forest infected into a cold icicle wasteland. Moving forward with the aid of the Mammoth's Walkers, the Ice Fortress glides across the land, crushing everything in its path.

With the stakes ever higher, Lagravis travels to the Beaver Lodge, desperate to find a solution. "The ice tribes have frozen a huge part of Chima. The Fangs, the croc swamp, and now, the Falling Jungle," he tells the beaver leader Bezar, as he shows him a map of the land.

"Hey! There's our village!" Bezar points to their village on a paper map and sees the hunters coming their way. "Right in their path? Well... We'll fix them!" he declares confidently, "Fix them! Fix them! Fix them!" the other beavers chant alongside them.

"But like the croc swamp, your entire village is built on water, which the enemy will turn to ice, giving them all the advantage." Lagravis pointed out, gesturing to the land around them, as the Beavers shook in fear. "Can we stop them? I don't know, but we can slow them significantly." He continued to say, hints of determination in his voice, while the remaining beaver sighed.

"It will, however, require a lot of work," Lagravis said, knowing his audience well, as the beavers gasped in anticipation. "Did you say work?" Bezar asked with eagerness, as the other beavers cheered with excitement to work.

While back inside the Phoenix temple, before a grand model of Chima, Fluminox told his story to the others. "Mount Cavora wasn't always up here, it used to be down there." he began to explain, thinking back to times long forgotten.

"Many centuries ago, Mount Cavora was just like any other mountain, the tallest peak in all of Chima, this is where we built our city, and this is where we hoped to bless our primitive brethren below. Thus, we graced the simple ground born with our glorious institutions, early and improving," he told them, thinking back to the beginning, to a far simpler time.

"But our efforts to elevate the lowly may have worked too well. An ambitious young sabertooth cat named Fangar was one of our best students, he became so full of knowledge and achievement that he felt the only thing left for him to accomplish, was complete domination of Chima." he retold, remembering Fangar's rise to power, his time as a student, his collaborations with other promising students, and the rallying of his followers.

"Sir Fangar as he now called himself, sought to conquer all. None of the ground born could slow him, his merciless attacks left behind a lifeless wasteland. We protected those we could and then stopped the hunters the only way we knew how." he said, his voice switching to one of remembrance, as he thought back to the terrible events leading up to the Hunter's defeat.

"Imagine, the essence of all creation, the ultimate power contained in a single item. Now imagine eight of these items worn by our eight phoenix elders. This is the great illumination; its power can restore existence to its purest imaginable state." He informed them with reverence, showing them a portrait of eight phoenixes wearing brilliant golden armor.

"The world renewed, its creatures thrived, and paradise was embraced by all, except for, the hunters. They fought the great illumination with an unrelenting fury, and the great illumination fought back." Memories of the Hunter's struggles, as the land itself fought against them, casting into the depths replayed in his mind.

"The same power that pulled down the mighty gorge, pushed up Mount Cavora! The illumination pulled so much heat from the Fangs that nothing had grown there since, and the hunters were left frozen in ice, deep inside the gorge." he now said soberly, as images of their icy prison played in his mind, their anguished and hatred forever frozen.

"The great illumination left a powerful energy field, keeping us skyward and safe from intrusion. The mountain breathed in the moist breath of the sky, water now blessed by Cavora's illumination energy brought forth the chi, and the phoenix shared it with all." he informed them, remembering how after all the animals drank from the chi water and transformed, they watched as Mount Cavora rose.

"Everything changed once again. We carved the rocks above our falls in honor of these new tribes." Fluminox said, remembering how he and the remaining phoenix had marked this new era of their history. "This is the story before the great story." He concluded, now outside the temple's halls, standing at the summit of Cavora.

"Wow!" Cragger, Eris, Laval, and Junior exclaimed in utter awe. "We lions hold the great story sacred, and now... Oh no! What's my dad gonna think?" Laval told him before his mind raced to worried thoughts of his father, unsure how he would handle all of this.

While back at Beaver Lodge, Lagravis admires his allies' defense efforts. "Impressive. This new dam they're building will drain all the water before the hunters can freeze it." he said impressed, witnessing the beavers work firsthand.

"DRAIN IT! DRAIN IT! DRAIN IT!" the beavers for their part chant, carrying pieces of wood to reinforce their dam.

"They can certainly toss up a dam Lagravis, but can they fight?" LongTooth wonders aloud, only for his question to be immediately answered by a passing Bezar. "No, but our dam will fight for us!" the beaver says proudly, as he shows them a blueprint, showing they had built catapults into the dam's structure.

"Huh?" Lagravis wonders aloud, taking a closer look at the dam, uncertain of their likelihood for success.

While back in the Phoenix temple, Fluminox guides the group back through the building halls. "That's an amazing story before the great story, but these hunters are back! And they're trying to destroy Chima again!" Eris informs him, desperation strong in her voice.

"Yes, the ice that trapped the hunters held its own energy from the illumination, this gave the hunters incredible new powers," Fluminox told them, making it clear that he already knew the severity of the situation. "Tell me about it. They can freeze almost anything." Laval said, a feeling of hopelessness starting to form.

"Indeed." the Phoenix King said simply, knowing that that'll be a problem for the tribes to fight against, Fluminox took them to see a small pile of NEW chi. "To fight them, you will need fire chi!" he says, showing them an orb that's glowing orange, like fire instead of blue.

"Woah!" the young group of heroes exclaimed in awe and amazement, moving closer for a better look. "Rally your fears noble eagle, the fire chi shall not burn you!" Fluminox declares, holding the orb aloft, before handing the fire chi to Eris.

"Great! Grab as many as you can!" Cragger buds in, before he goes to grab some fire chi and laughs at its glorious sight, but by the time he grabs it he drops it and screams, with his hands burning. "HOT! I THOUGHT YOU SAID IT WOULDN'T BURN US!" he yelled out in pain and indignation.

"I said it would not burn her." Fluminox points out mater-of-factly, ever so slightly smug with his words. "You want me to try it? For real?" Eris asks with apprehension, unsure if she should do it, as Fluminox gives her a nod of assurance.

"Go for it, Eris! It's sort of what you've been dreaming about, right?" Laval encourages her, excited on her behalf. "Uh-huh." she manages to say nervously, as Cragger encourages Eris by screaming, which probably represents the cry they do whenever plugging an orb.

Gathering her nerves, Eris plugs the fire chi and screams out power, a new orange light coming from her energy with her spirit screeching, and she then is equipped with a new fiery armour. Enjoying this new power, she laughs while flying out to Chima's skies and going for a little trip.

"Woah! Gotta get me some of that!" Laval says excitedly, unable to believe what his eyes had just witnessed. "Never! Not for you, ground born! Especially the belly dragger!" Fluminox said harshly, referring to Junior, his mind wandering to another former student of his. At his command, the tigers get in the two hero's way of getting any fire chi.

"What?! But we're heroes!" Cragger cried outraged, "Yeah, and that was uncalled for!" Junior added offended; he wasn't a belly dragger! Noting the young ones' determination and relating to their blight, one of the tigers spoke up.

"Your majesty, why not let them prove themselves worthy as I, a ground born once did for you?" he said, walking towards Fluminox. "But Tormak! They will never survive the trial by fire." said the phoenix king with concern, he might not like the ground born, but he wasn't about to let them kill themselves.

"Sure, we will. Did I mention we were heroes?" Cragger budded in once again, not really knowing what he was getting himself into. With a hearty sigh, Fluminox relents, "Commence the trial!" he commands, as all the guards quickly swift away to the side so they don't fall into a hole in the floor that opens beneath Cragger and Laval.

Cragger, Laval, and Junior scream as they fall into the hole of fire. Luckily, they have been saved by a pillar that's a little high up from the flames, and they have others they could hop on on their way to the end.

"What'd you get us into?!" Junior cried out, in fear and annoyance, as he tried to get away from the flames. "I didn't think he literally meant trial by FIRE! sometimes people just say that and there's no fire involved whatsoever!" Cragger defends, to no avail, desperately trying to keep his balance.

They scream because the flames almost get them, Laval thinks for a moment and then jumps to another pillar. "HOT! HOT! HOT! HOT!" Cragger cries, hopping from side to side as he burns his feet, while Junior stares at him unamused.

Meanwhile, Laval grunts while he jumps from pillar to pillar, followed by Junior. The young Hypnobrai surprisingly nimble on his feet. Eventually, Cragger growls up some encouragement and jumps to a pillar, screaming a bit when he almost falls off into the fire.

"Ages have passed since a ground-born braved the trial, and survived!" Fluminox mentioned as he and Tormak looked on from atop the pit. "These three have great spirit. They will make us proud!" Tormak assured him confidently, as both Laval and Junior continued jumping from pillar to pillar. Cragger tries to not fall into the fire but eventually, his tail catches on fire, so he screams and runs around in circles on the same pillar.

"They will probably make us proud." Tormak said less confident than before, while Fluminox sighed as Cragger put out the fire by putting it into his mouth.

"Hey, are you coming or what?" Skales Jr. cried back to Cragger, meanspirited as he watched the croc with amusement. "Yeah!" Cragger cried back annoyed, before he suddenly started to breathe fire.

In the meantime, back at the Beaver Lodge, Longtooth and Lagravis continue to examine the beaver's plans. "I see how the dam drains all their ponds Lagravis, but I still don't get what the big poles are for!" LongTooth exclaims with confusion and exasperation.

"I'm not entirely sure myself..." Lagravis replies as he glances back down to the plans before a shrill screech from a beaver catches his attention. "Huh?" Lagravis wonders as he looks up to see a very panicked sentry. "They're coming... They're coming..." the beaver cries out before he suddenly freezes solid.

Lagravis roars and goes up the dam to see that the hunters are almost there. "Huh?" he exclaims surprised as the hunters march towards the lodge with their giant fortress. "I didn't expect them so soon, " he says in disbelief as the wood around him begins to freeze over.

"We need to call for more lions!" LongTooth suggests in a panic, worriedly watching as the ice creeps in. "No time! We'll just have to depend on the troops we have here." Lagravis said resolutely, determined to fight back no matter the cause. "You mean... THE BEAVERS?!" he cries in disbelief, as behind them the beavers shriek in fear.

Not long after, atop one of the dam's wooden towers, Bezar puts on a wooden helmet, "Battle helmet, on!" he commands confidently, while LongTooth sighs in disappointment from afar.

"Release the dam!" Bezar commands once more, as the beavers begin to move about. "What?!" LongTooth cries out in confusion, as Lagravis pulls him away. "Come on!" he says as they move away from the dam, sliding down the ramps, before making a run for it.

"Reverse, down! Ice, up!" Bezar commands, as the beavers release the dam, gears turning as large boulders lower slowly towards large polls that end near the now frozen river. From that the frozen river is lifted from one end and the hunters go down the other end.

"What is this?" Sir Fangar ponders aloud, as the ice shakes beneath him, some hunters scream while they fall down the ice. "Rise above the ice my flying minions!" Fangar ordered, unfaced by the chaos around him, as the vultures headed up the ice and towards the lodge.

"Let them feel. Our. Freeze!" he declares, the Vultures crowing while flying towards the beavers.

"Launch the log!" Bezar cries out, as a beaver pulls a lever that shoots a sharpened log towards the sky like a ballista arrow. VoomVoom screams once he's hit with the log and is forced to crash land onto the ice, pushing back the giant mammoth war machines.

The beavers reload their ballistae, and soon more logs are shot at the vultures; but this time the log takes out the jets, leaving the vultures frozen in the air. The Vultures scream as they fall, while the Beavers cheer excitedly, and even Lagravis and LongTooth roar in celebration.

Meanwhile, back in the Phoenix temple, Eris had returned from her flight only to be met by her friends undertaking the Trial by Fire. "Is this really necessary?" Eris asks with great concern, watching her friends surrounded by the fire.

In the Pit, Laval and Junior are busy helping Cragger pass the trial, the sluggish crocodile finding it harder to get across. Cragger jumps across a pillar, grunting before being grabbed by Laval to stop him from falling into the fire.

"It is a test, not just of physical skill, but honor and trust as well," Fluminox explains, watching the trial intensely. Below them, Laval jumps from pillar to pillar swiftly, Junior not far behind him. The years of training for the Slither Pits have come in handy for the young snake.

"Come on, Cragger! One more to go!" Laval calls out to his best friend, nearing the other side of the pit. "HOT! HOT! HOT! HOT!" Cragger cried out, his feet steaming with every step.

"HELP!" a mysterious voice suddenly cries from below the flames, making Laval pause. Cragger grunts while jumping pillar to pillar, all the way to Laval; almost making them both fall, but fortunately, they land on their bottom instead.

"Someone's down there!" Laval tells them, as they peer down to the fiery abyss, unsure of what to do. "We can't help! We'll get burnt! Let's just get this over with!" Cragger said exasperatedly, just wanting to get out of the frying pan, much to his companion's displeasure.

"HELP ME!" the voice said again, sounding more distressed than before. "IT SOUNDS LIKE A LITTLE KID! We can't just leave them there!" Junior says concerned, as he and Laval share a look.

"Junior, Laval! What are you two doing?!" Cragger asks with trepidation, as Junior and Laval suddenly jump in. "THE FIRE! IT'S EVERYWHERE!" the voice cries again, as the duo dives into the sea of flames. "Why, Laval?! Why do you have to be such a hero?!" Cragger questions with frustration, before he screams as he jumps in after them.

"LAVAL! CRAGGER!" Eris yells in fear, as she flies into the flames. "No! You mustn't help them!" Fluminox tries to warn her, but is too late, she's already dived after her friends.

Outside, night had fallen on the Beaver Lodge, as the inhabitants walked around carrying wooden logs and other tools. The celebrated their victory the best way they knew how, by fixing all that was damaged in their village, regardless of how little that was.

"Ugh, if only we didn't beat them so quickly there'd be more to fix!" Bezar complained, disappointed by the lack of collateral until he tripped on a seesaw that tossed up a rock that fell onto a house of sticks and broke it apart. "FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT!" the beavers cheer eagerly, as Bezar puts back his helmet, only to trip again.

"This victory was a little too easy. Something does not seem right." Lagravis wonders aloud, watching the beaver's antics while pondering on this dilemma. "Brr... Little chill from the woods, sir." LongTooth comments with a shiver, while behind him beavers scream, running away from the ice that has somehow gotten in.

"I feel it too, but from over there," Lagravis says worried, as he logs to the other side of the woods, which were also slowly being covered by ice. "And all over there too?!" LongTooth added, pointing to the far side of the village, the area also freezing over.

"They're everywhere!" Lagravis cries out in a panic, as the ice begins surrounding the lodge, the hunters striking from all sides. Bezar shrieks in fear as the hunters arrive and start blasting immediately.

"The river was only the first part of their attack. Battle stations!" Lagravis realizes too late, as the beavers start screaming, desperately rushing to their stations as the hunters laid waste to their village.

Back at the Phoenix temple, Eris flies through the fire, desperately looking for her friends. "Guys? Are you okay?" she calls out, landing once she finds Cragger and Laval safe by a young phoenix child.

"Names Flinx, please to meet ya." the young phoenix says nonchalantly, unfaced by the fiery inferno around him, seemingly immune to fire as it goes right through him. "Woah." The ground-born trio exclaims in amassment, hardly believing what they are witnessing.

"Oops! Gotta put some tame in that flame, it's a phoenix thing." Flinx said jokingly, as he commanded the fire to go down in intensity. "Hey, if you can stop the fire, why'd you call for our help?" Junior questioned, slightly annoyed by the deception, but glad his fellow kid was okay.

"Sorry about that, it's Dad's idea. Part of your trial to see if you had enough honor to risk yourself for someone you didn't know." Flix explained apologetically, not wanting to be rude to the challengers who had risked themselves for him, even if it was just a trick.

"The phoenix king is your father?" Laval said with surprise, not expecting the commanding Fluminox to be a family man. "I thought this was a trial by fire, not a trial by practical joke!" Cragger complained with annoyance, having had to jump through fire for nothing!

"The joke part was all my idea. My dad has no sense of humour." Flinx explained proudly, taking great joy in his idea. "Well, either way, nice to meet you Flinx! Any chance you can help us with the rest of this trial?" Laval asked kindly, properly greeting the prince with a friendly tone.

Flix easily blows away the fire, showing the next part of the trial up ahead with a giant pool full of lava and a torch at the end. "You just have to light that torch," Flinx explains as they all walk up to the lava. "After crossing this canal of liquid fire." he added, referring to the lava, "On that." he continued, as a single pedestal rose from the lava to help Junior, Cragger, and Laval get across.

"What?" Laval exclaimed in disbelief, as one by one they stepped onto the platform. Laval got on first, followed by Junior and Cragger next, making it a little bit shaky. "Woah!" Laval cried out as he maintained balance, before looking around for something to propel them forwards. Eris hands Laval a stick to paddle with but it burns instantly.

"That won't work." Flinx says, as he pulls out two golden shields, "You'll need these!" he says, as he hands them to Laval and Cragger. "Huh?" Laval mumbles, as he figures out how to use them, before dipping the edge of the metal into the lava and using it like a paddle. With that question out of the way, together they start to paddle with the shields, with Junior safe between them as their guide.

"And you'll need help, from some old friends." Flinx quickly added before they got too far, as doors began to open from around the corridor. "Legend Beasts!" Laval greets with excitement, as the beasts arrive from the side, each standing on a platform in front of the lava and greeting the adventurers as they pass by.

"This should be easy with those guys helping us," Laval says confidently, before suddenly, the wolf and eagle legend beast shoot their fiery spirits at the heroes, and they block it with their shields.

"AH!" Cragger grunts out, as he and Laval struggle to block the fire in confusion. "This is helping?!" he asks annoyed, struggling even more to keep the fiery spirits away. "Uh... Yeah. I think it is." Laval says, noting that the ire streams were slowly propelling them closer to the end of the channel.

Back at the entrance of the pull, Fluminox and Tormak arrive, standing next to Eris and Flinx. "Okay, I get the honour part of the trial before, but this is just a flame boil freak out!" Eris complains, concerned for her friend's safety and unable to comprehend the purpose of the trials.

"The flame burns, but they also help. One must never doubt a friend, trust them always." Fluminox explains, sparing a glance at Tormak, before staring back at the trail. "We never betray our friends, ever," Tormak reassures her, unaware of the cruel twist fate had upon him.

"And you never shall, Tormak, of this I am certain," Fluminox said confidently, glad to still have one pupil who would never turn against him. Memories of his past failures briefly pass through his mind, before Cragger's shrill screams divert his attention back to the participants.

On the other side, the trio had reached the next point on their trail. The bear and rhino legend beasts where the second groups to fire breathe at Cragger and Laval, followed by the lion and crocodile. Finally, they reached the end and ignited the torch with the fiery spirits of all the Legend Beasts.

"Hahaha! Nice job!" Flix said, suddenly appearing before them and roasting marshmallows on a stick, "Marshmallows? he asks nonchalantly, much to the trio's surprise.

"Congratulations, ground born! You have proven yourselves and your tribes worthy of our fire chi!" Fluminox said, walking in with Eris and Tormak in tow, as he congratulated the trio.

"YES!" Cragger, Laval, and Junior cried as they high-fived each other, so caught up in their celebrating that they failed to note the apprehension Fluminox still showed toward Junior.

Later, at the Beaver Lodge, the hunters absolutely massacre the beavers and their lodge, rapidly shooting everywhere. The beavers tried desperately to flee, but one by one they were frozen on the spot.

Amid the chaos, Lagravis holds on with the last line of defense, "Surrounded, can't retreat, can't keep fighting! Chi up, LongTooth!" he orders, holding out an orb of Chi, before LongTooth gets iced. "LONGTOOTH?!" he cries shocked before he growls and plugs the chi.

The hunters grunted to a stop as they turned to see the lion king chi up, "Now that's just what I need." Fangars says smugly, grinning as Lagravis roars. Before all of a sudden, Bezar grunts while stumbling towards the ice, "Huh?" Lagravis wonders, as Bezar almost throws his hat at the hunters before being iced instantly.

"Perfect! An action pose. Put this one with the others!" Sir Fangar commented, before commanding one of his sabretooths to grab his new trophy. "Follow me, we are not beaten yet," Lagravis says before he and the beavers retreat towards the lodge.

Unfaced, Fangar walks over to the frozen LongTooth and takes his orb. "Well, if you insist," he says jokingly, as he laughs and gulps the chi, his power overflowing as the spear freezes over his hand.

Making it to the Lodge, Lagravis and the beavers are confronted by VoomVoom, who laughs as he corners the lion and his scared friends. Fangar joins in the laughter, as the ice slowly roams toward the defenseless fighters.

"AH!" Lagravis cries out defiantly, unwilling to go down without a fight. Fangar just keeps laughing, marching forward undeterred, until he is caught off guard when a fiery shot blocks his way.

"Huh?" Lagravis wonders, only to look up happily as Eris comes to the rescue by shooting down multiple hunters. "Yes!" she cries excitedly, as the hunters scream while running away when Cragger and Laval arrive in their tanks.

"Yeah!" Laval cries out, not decked out in new fire armor, while Cragger responds with a war cry as the hunters growl and march toward them. "Ice them down! Let them feel. Our. FREEZE!" Fangar commands, having had enough of their interference.

"How about, feel. Our. FIRE CHI!" Laval cries out in mockery of Fangar's own command, as he upgrades his tank with the fire chi that shoots fire at the hunters and does some damage. Cragger does the same, sending the hunters screaming and ducking at the fire.

Eris herself gets an upgrade with the new orbs, and with all that power they send the hunters running with their ice running alongside them. "Huh?" Fangar said incredibly, recognizing the warmth of his old master as his prisoners were let free.

The Beavers cheer as they're all free, some sending their logs to take down the mammoth machines. And together with their new power, they take down the hunters, Laval even turning one of their tanks to ashes.

Eris laughs with joy, as she sends the vultures crashing with her newfound firepower. LongTooth grunts in confusion as he's melted by Craggers tank, while Laval rolls up to his father. "Chi up with this, Dad!" he cries out as he passes Lagravis a fire chi.

"Huh?" he ponders for a moment, before taking out his original orb and replacing it with his new fire chi, getting his new armour and everything, pulling out his sword, the Beavers cheering behind him.

VoomVoom tries to run away but falls into the water, Lagravis roars as he chases away the hunters and their ice, catching up to the mammoth family and hitting away Maula's weapon. "Run Mungus, run!" she cries out, climbing up to her son's shoulders. "Okay, mama! Mungus make the running!" Mungus cries out, as he retreats with the hunters.

"This isn't over yet!" Fangar declares, before deflecting a blast with his spear and joining the rest of his hunters, glaring toward the heroes with cold hatred. The scroll glowing a harsher blue, as his eyes glowed more intensely.

The beavers cheer as Laval, Cragger, and Eris power their weapons down, jumping off to join the others. "Yeah! So much to fix..." Bezar exclaims with excitement, "FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT!" his beavers cheer alongside him.

"Laval! We actually beat them! For the first time! And we owe it all to this!" Lagravis said, gratefully towards the fire orb on his chest with gratitude. "You can thank the phoenix up at Mount Cavora for the fire chi!" Laval replied truthfully, much to his surprise. "What?! But how? A-And-" he stuttered, at a loss for words.

"Ah, it's a long story. In fact, it's a long story called, The Story Before the Great Story." Laval says bashfully, walking over to him. "Huh?" Lagravis exclaimed in other bafflement.

"Haha, I'll explain it later, Dad. Now it's time to turn up the heat on these cold creeps! FOR CHIMA!" Laval exclaims excitedly, as up above the Pheonix Temples glows intently, Chima's protectors rising up once again!

While in the distance, reptilian yellow eyes watch the distant light show with intrigue. She had felt the pulse of power pass through them, seen the temple shed its guise, and felt the familiar warmth enveloping the land.

"So, you've finally awoken my old masters! Took you long enough, but don't worry. We'll be seeing each other again real soon!" the ancient sorceress said maliciously, as her forces gathered in the night.

Aspheera smiled deviously, her gaze narrowing as thoughts of vengeance raced across her mind.

Author's Notes:

The power of the flame has been revealed, secrets of the past unveiled, but more lay in wait. The forbidden power digs itself deeper within Fangar's being, and big changes are coming.

Now that the Phoenix are finally involved, Aspheera's time is coming. For those who know what comes next and remember Aspheera's current objective might have an idea of the next chapter. I hope you enjoy Junior's portrayal, it wasn't much but he will have a bigger role in the future, Flinx needs a friend his age after all!

As a reminder, I'm still open to putting fan characters in the story, but only for bit parts, and worldbuilding. Remember to leave a small description in the comments and not to make them too OP, nor hybrids, or anything else that would take too much to explain in the story. As always, thank you for reading, and until next time!
