Erin's pov
As soon as I reached my office, I got an email and screamed. A bloodcurdling scream. The scream of an anguished mother. Storm Slayer had my Peter, and if I did not exonerate him, or if I got the cops involved, Peter would be shot dead, not that he did not have poison in his veins already, with 48 hours to live without the exoneration and antidote. And I could not even trace the video location, due to the signal being bounced off cell towers worldwide. This was bad. Really bad.I told my family, and they had been as distraught as me. Danny was the first to speak
"We'll find him. We always do. What about TARU?"
He was referring to the unit in the NYPD for video and footage analysis."
Wringing my hands nervously, I reiterated from the video
"No cops..."
Jamie piped up
"I could try to get him to recruit me as his lawyer and have him give me intel, or I could go undercover again as Jimmy Riordan and get the scoop bad guy to pretend bad guy..."
Those were ideas to consider. Either way, Storm Slayer wouldn't associate Jamie with the cops. He knew the law frontwards and backwards due to Harvard, so he could pass as an attorney, being that he was one once upon a time. And he'd infiltrated a mob family as Riordan, with great success. We had 47 hours at the moment.
