I'd given plenty of thought to how I would die.
More often than not my scenarios depicted death by my own hand.
But never had I imagined a fate where I would die in place of someone I loved — an honorable way to go, noble even.
I knew that if I'd never moved to Forks, I wouldn't be facing death now.
But no matter what had led me up to this moment, I wouldn't feel regret. How could I? When life offers you a dream so far beyond any of your expectations, it's not reasonable to grieve when it comes to an end.
