I love Janto: There will always be more pigeons and honestly, most of them get themselves killed through sheer stupidity anyway. They sit in the road outside our house and don't even try to get out of the way of cars, flat pigeons are not an uncommon sight around here.

Ianto is definitely not keeping a seagull! They're massive and probably not as easy to housetrain as Myf. It would no doubt attack the team to steal their lunch. Ianto will find an effective solution even if he has to lure it out through the garage with a trail of food. They're a lot smarter than pigeons.

Over a century on earth, waiting for his Doctor and it never occurred to Jack that he wasn't really living, just marking time.

Oh, there were moments he felt alive, like when Lucia told him she was pregnant, or the first time he held their daughter in his arms, but they were like flickers of lightning, there and gone almost before he could register them. A match struck in the night, giving a moment of light before the darkness rushed in again.

Day after day he drifted, merely existing, until an unassuming Welshman brought him to life with a kiss.
