Chapter 46 Off To Becky's House

The Winchesters waited in their motel room for a while watching TV to pass the time and Dean decided give Ava and Charlie a call to check on them, but they couldn't talk for long as they were in a middle of their investigation. Sam thought about calling Gwen again, but she figured she was still at the movies with Adam, and he didn't want to pester her, so he just sent a text asking her call him when they're done. Around two hours since the bikers left, Sam read Gwen's text saying the movie was over and they're going to a diner to get something to eat and that he could phone her once he gets the text. Sam phoned Gwen up right away and she said they had just finished watching a great action flick that was so good she even enjoyed it despite not being a fan of those genres.

Adam had insisted they get something to eat after the movie since they didn't get popcorn and afterwards, he wanted to head back to town to play pool at the bar and unload. They mainly talked about how they what they were doing and how they missed each other before Gwen put Adam on the phone and both Dean and Sam talked to him. Just then they heard the sound of motorcycles outside and knew the bikers had returned so they said their goodbyes to promising to return to the bunker hopefully sooner. Then Sam and Gwen exchanged their love for one another before hanging up.

"Okay lover boy, back to business, those bikers are now back, and we need to keep an eye of them watch their every move and follow them when they leave. It's not a stretch to figure out where they would be going at night, which is usually to the Country Line Bar, that seems to be their M.O." Dean said.

"Or at least some of them head to the bar, I noticed that while some of them be at the bar the others will be back at the motel in their rooms as witnesses had said. Or I speculate that's what they want witnesses to see so maybe they leave the motel room while their buddies are in the bar and head out on the night to hunt and I'm sure their fellow crew at the bar tips them off when their victims leave and where they're heading to which is how they know where to find them" Sam said.

"And they leave their motorcycles behind to make it look like they never left the motel and just sneak off I mean the bar isn't too far from the motel, good thinking there Sherlock" Dean replied.

"So, I figure one of us trails the bikers that head for the bar it he Impala while the other stays here to watch the other bikers that remain behind and follow them on foot when they leave" Sam said.

"Sounds good to me, think I trail the ones that got the bar, and you remain behind just in case they leave" said Dean.

"You know there is still a chance they won't hunt anybody tonight not shortly after the death another victim, they might wait a week or something to commit their next kill" said Sam.

"Well, then I guess we have to keep this up until we catch them in the act even if we have to wait a whole week or longer" said Dean.

Dean and Sam continued to wait as they looked out the window now and then to see when the bikers will leave again. Hours have passed as it soon starts to get dark as it's about 7:00pm and both Sam and Dean's stomach's start to growl from hunger.

"We have been waiting for those bikers to leave for how many hours and now I'm starving as heck. I'm so hungry I could do out and eat a deer or something" Sam complains.

"Relax, I about to take care of that" as Dean pulls out his phone and calls local pizza delivery and then hangs up.

"That's great, but what if those bikers leave before the delivery guy gets here?" Sam asked.

"Then you will just have to save some" Dean told him.

"Will do" Sam replied.

Around fifteen minutes, the pizza delivery person arrives who turns out to be a delivery girl. She also had a pack of coke cola along with large box of pepperoni pizza. They paid for the food and even gave her a twenty-dollar tip then they sat down near the window they could still look outside and munched on their pizza and a can of coke to drink. By the time they finished their pizza, they were really full. Time continued to pass by fast and soon it was dark outside, and it was almost 8:30 and the bikers still hadn't left their motel room yet. The brothers were getting frustrated and were about to give up.

"You know, I they might not leave their rooms tonight, I mean those biker freaks haven't budged yet" Sam said a bit frustrated.

"Hey, we will have to be on the stakeout no matter how long and if not to tonight maybe the tomorrow night or the night after that, no matter who long it takes" said Dean.

"I know, it' just I wish the how long would be right now" Sam said.

"Hey, I don't like this either, I certainly have better things I rather do then stakeout a pack werewolf biker gang but we don't have a choice here, I tell you after this is all over and we can go out to wherever you want, just the two of us, since it's been a while and it will be my treat, I promise you" Dean told him.

"Deal and I will hold you to that" said Sam.

"Okay, now can you stake out alone for while, I have to go take a leak" said Dean.

"Sure thing" said Sam.

Dean then left hand headed for a the bathroom while Sam continued peeping out the window but still nothing and he was convinced nothing was going to happen that night when his iPhone starting ringing and he pulled it out of his pocket and answered it not knowing who could possibly be calling so late at night, it wasn't Gwen, Adam or Charlie since the message on his phone would say they were calling but the caller seemed unknown. He answered his phone and heard that it was Becky who sounded frantic. Becky got his number from him giving her his card earlier that day which had his cell phone number on it. Upon hearing her voice, he knew she was in trouble.

"Becky what's happened, are you okay?" Sam asked now concerned.

"Sam, I think somebody is outside my house, I can hear them!" Becky cried out still sounding frantic.

"Oh, Becky are you sure about that?" Sam asked her a bit confused.

"Yes, Sam I am, I wouldn't be calling you if I wasn't scared out of my wits, but I even heard them outside at my window. I even thought I saw a figure outside but when I went to the window to look outside, it was gone. But Sam, I swear, I think someone or something is outside my house trying to get in. Look, I don't mean to be a bother, but I'm scared here" Becky said her tone hadn't changed.

Sam just sighed. Of all the things, they had to deal with now Becky's calling because she's scared over sounds outie her home. "Hey look Becky, if you are really scared, you can leave your house and head overhear to the motel again" he told her.

"And, I would normally do that, but I don't know what is outside and I'm afraid to leave the house and find out. After the killings that have been going on, I just can't bring myself to step outside this house and like I said before, I can't be here alone. I may be overacting but after everything that is going on, I don't want to take any chances. Please Sam, I would feel much safer if you or even Dean or the both of you guys came over. At least you will be armed and could defend me and yourselves if necessary.

Sam still felt confused as the bikers hadn't left since heading back inside their motel rooms so it couldn't be any of them, but at the same time he was worried about Becky as she really sounded like she was in trouble and even if it wasn't really anything he didn't want to take that chance having learned from past experience working cases. Realizing he didn't really have any other option he decided he had to act on this.

"Okay, Becky just wait there, make sure your door and windows are locked and do go outside for anything nor let anybody in. I'll be over there was soon as possible" he told her.

"Oh, thanks Sam but you don't know where I live" she told him.

"Just give me your address and directions on how to get there and I'll be there within minutes" Sam told her.

"Okay" she told him as Sam looked went to desk where he found a notepad and soon Becky gave him address as he wrote them down and then the directions on how to get there from the motel.

As he was writing this all down, Sam heard the toilet flush in the bathroom and soon heard the water from the bathroom sink start running and several seconds later the water stops, and Dean comes out of the bathroom. Sam finished up writing down the directions Becky gives him.

"Okay, Becky just hold on, I will be right over there" he told her.

"Thank you, Sam, once again and Please hurray" she told him.

"Hey, what's going on?" Dean asks curiously.

Sam ignores him. "I will, Becky I promise" he told her.

He then hung up and put his phone away.

"Hey, what's going on, I go in to use the toilet and for a couple minutes and there is already excitement. That was Becky; what did your ex want anyway, what's the matter?" Dean asked.

"I think Becky is in trouble" Sam told him.

"What kind of mess did Miss Nancy Drew wannabe get into?" Dean asked.

"She said she thinks there is someone or something outside her home and scared that it might be trying to get in and she's so freaked out about and wants my help" Sam told him.

"Woah, but it can't be any of our werewolf posse here, none of them left their motel rooms at all tonight and we have known if one of them did" Dean said.

"I don't know Dean, but Becky sounded really frantic, and I don't want to take in chances not with this case" Sam said.

"You don't think it's a possibly that she's panicking over nothing. Maybe it's just a squirrel or something and she would love nothing more than for you to come over and be her hero" Dean said have teasingly.

"Seriously Dean?" Sam said although he wasn't too surprised at what Dean is implying.

"I hardly think that's the case right now plus Becky said she saw a figure outside her window although she couldn't make it out what it was, I doubt it would be squirrel, she is really freaked out about that she's too scared to even leave her house to get into her car and I told her stay in her home no matter what and I would be right over there" Sam said.

"But what about the bikers?" Dean asked.

"While I go and check on Becky you can stay behind and watch for the bikers. I'll bring Becky back here if she doesn't feel safe alone at the house, she probably be safer here anyway" Sam said. "Oh perfect, that means we have to deal with your former missus again, this time Ms. Sleuth in training will want to get in on the case, and we have to listen to her nonstop yapping" Dean replied not to thrilled of Becky being with them.

"Hey Dean, look…."Sam was about to say but Dean cut him off "I know, I know, Becky could be in trouble and yeah, I get it and if that's the case go on help her, I'll stay here to keep an eye on things" Dean told him.

"Thanks Dean, I'll text you once I get there and I might have to bring Becky back here if it's something serious, but if any of those bikers leave before I get back just call or text me to let me know and I'll head back there possibly with Becky, so you can take the car and trail them at the bar where they'll be, then I'll wait here for the remaining bikers to see if they leave or not and I'll just follow them" Sam said.

"What if the remaining bikers leave before you get back here?' Dean asked.

"Then just go and trail them, don't wait for me. If I bring Becky back here, I'll just head for the bar instead" Sam said.

"You're sure, you would want to leave your motormouth ex here at the motel alone?" Dean asked.

"She'll be safer here if anything and stop calling her my ex already" Sam replied half laughing.

"Oh Sam, so nice that you're still protective of the former missus there" Dean said teasingly.

"Shut up" Sam said partly amused.

Dean just lightly laughed.

"Anyway, I better get over there quick, you got the keys?" Sam asked.

Dean pulled the keys from his pants pocket and handed them over to Sam.

"You'll just take care of her you hear" Dean told him.

"Don't worry, I always do" Sam told him although Dean looked a bit skeptical for a brief moment.

Sam then headed out the door as Dean stood at the doorway.

"Hey Sam, please look out for yourself too" Dean told him.

Sam just smiled "I aways do" he replied and then he headed for the Impala in the parking lot and got into the car and moments later he drove off.

Meanwhile, Dean just went inside and kept looking out the window using the binoculars waiting for any of those bikers to go out their doors to leave in the night. It didn't take Sam too long to find the address where Becky is staying having read over the directions since it was a very small town anyway. He arrived at his destination as he was parked outside a small one-story old looking house and parked nearby was the yellow Buggie Becky was driving. He really didn't feel like driving out here especially if it turned out to be a false alarm, but he couldn't dismiss Becky's concerns no matter what. He had to take this seriously despite the fact the main suspects were still at the motel where he and Dean are staying at.

Could it be possible that he and Dean missed something and now Becky's life could be in danger. She was so scared to even go outside and drive to their motel room and he didn't blame her as it could be too risky for her to leave her home. Anyway, once he got out of the car, he headed to the house and rang the doorbell at the front door. Becky opened the do within seconds as if she had been waiting by the door the whole time. She still looked quite frantic when he saw her.

"Oh, Sam you got here, please hurry get inside" she told him anxiously as she practically pulled him inside and closed the door really quick. Sam couldn't help feeling nervous himself as the way Becky was acting there must be something wrong.

"Okay Becky, I got here as soon as I could, please tell me what's going on, I mean are you okay, did someone or something try to attack you" Sam asked as he just looked around the house.

"Sam, I knew I just had to call you and I was right, since once I got off the phone it only got worse" she said as she frantically pulled him from the hall into the living room.

Sam looked around and noticed that his was quite a homey place few pictures around the house some of an older woman mature average looking woman whom Sam assumed was Becky's Aunt Doris.

"What do you mean it got worse?" Sam asked her.

"I mean I started to hear even more noise outside the house and banging on the windows and door like someone or something was trying to break in. I even peeped out the window and saw a dark figure for a moment although I couldn't make its face but I swore whatever it was looked like it had fur on them. Once I looked outside it would quickly duck and disappear" Becky finished.

"How long did you hear something outside your home?" Sam asked.

"Well, it stopped about less than five minutes before you drove up here" Becky told him.

Sam just paused and didn't say a word as he looked around the house.

"Oh, Sam what if whatever that was still outside the house?" Becky asked now looking about the room more frantically.

"Becky, when I got up here, I didn't see or hear anything, so my guess is that whatever was here has probably left by now" Sam said.

Becky sighed out of relief, "I hope so" she said.

Then Sam started looking out the window in the living room and saw nothing usual but night sky and other homes. Then he turned around to Becky.

"You know, just to be on the safe side, we 're going to wait here for a while make sure everything is locked and then if nothing happens, I'm going to drive you back to our motel room as you will be safe there" Sam told her.

"Okay, that sounds like a great idea, to tell you the truth, I don't want be alone at all tonight, I would just freak out not knowing what to expect" Becky told him.

Sam wanted to tell her that she would have to alone at the motel room for a while if Dean had already left to follow any bikers who stayed behind at the motel room while some of the others left for the bar. Sam will just head to the bar to the other bikers. Of course, Becky might freak out since she seems adamant of not being left alone for tonight but before getting into it more with her, he decided he had to call Dean like he said he would and let him know he's at her place. So, he pulled out his phone from his pocket and to phone Dean.

"Hey, I got to call Dean to let him know where I am right now okay" he told her.

"Oh sure, of course do your brother thing" Becky told him as she paused for a while but then interrupted, "By the way, want me to get your something to drink while you're here, I don't have any beer, but I can have some coffee myself to calm my nerves, what about you?" she said.

"No thanks, don't want anything" Sam told her.

"Okay, I'll just fix myself some while you talk to your brother" Becky told him and Sam just nodded as she left the room.

Soon Dean answered his phone. "Okay Sam, what's going on is everything okay there?" he asked worried.

"Yeah, everything is fine now but Becky said she heard more banging sounds outside her house after I got off the phone and, on the door and windows and she even thought she saw a figure, although she couldn't make out a face, she said she thought she it had fur all over. Of course, when I got here there was nothing. Everything has been quiet at least for now" Sam explained.

"Yeah, same here, none of those bikers has stepped out of their rooms at all tonight. I'm started to really think this is pointless" Dean said.

"Maybe, but just hang in there, at least until me and Becky get there and if those bikers leave on their bikes before I arrive let me know as planned" Sam told him.

"Fine, but how is holding up with motormouth Becky, your one-time number one fan, is she driving you batty yet with her endless yapping?" Dean asked sarcastically.

"Oh, come one Dean, Becky is okay, and she's been through a lot. From what she told me, I think they maybe another werewolf out there other than those bikers and it tried to get into Becky's home or at least scare here" Sam said.

"Another, werewolf, who could it be, it's not that biker chick since she is also still at the motel room" Dean said.

"But how do you really know that Dean, she could have slipped away without her motorcycle because that would attract to much attention" Sam said.

"Because we never saw her leave her room either Sam" Dean told him.

"I don't know, maybe she's not the one or maybe she slipped out without us noticing, anyway I'm sure that another werewolf was here terrorizing Becky and even though they stopped, I don't know if they are really gone yet" Sam said.

"Look just be careful you got the silver bullets and all. I'll text you when or if any of those bikers leave before you and Becky get here" Dean said.

"I will and you be careful too, I'm just gonna wait it out here for a while in case that thing or whatever is still out there and then we will head for back to the motel. Still wonder who this extra werewolf is and maybe was it the one that was killing the victims" Sam said.

"That's good theory, wouldn't surprise me none if half the town as werewolves, you never know what to expect" Dean said.

"Half the town, huh, that means we have to stay here until we wiped half the population" Sam said anxiously.

"Hey, relax there, I was just kidding, I doubt it's half the town anyway" Dean reassured him.

"I know, I was joking too" Sam said smirking.

"I knew that" said Dean even though both him and Sam knew that wasn't true. "Anyway, you do what you got do to get you and Becky out of there safe" he added.

"I will and same goes for you take care for now" Sam said and after he and Dean exchanged goodbyes, he was off the phone and put it back into his pocket.

By this time Becky was back with some hot coffee on a saucer and she began sipping her drink.

"You sure you don't want one?" Becky asked about the coffee.

"Yeah, I'm good" Sam said. Becky then sat down on the couch.

"So how is things with Dean?" Becky asked as she kept sipping her coffee.

"He's back at the motel on a stakeout keeping an eye on those bikers waiting for them to leave their rooms" Sam said.

"Really how exciting, still don't know how they did it since they all have alibis?" Becky asked as she sat down on the chair and soon Sam also sat down on the other chair.

"We think they have a routine where some of them go the bar while the others remain behind and sneak out of the motel room leaving without their bikes and track down victims. That their fellow crew at the bar tips them off when their victims are leaving, and they knew where to arrive and attack. After all the guys that remained behind don't really have solid alibis only to each other and the fact that their motorcycles are still seen at the parking lot" Sam explained.

"Wow, Sam that was such a clever theory almost like a true detective" Becky said impressed as she took another sip of her coffee. "But what about what was banging on my door and windows, that had to have been another werewolf?" she went on as she put her coffee on the coffee table nearby.

"I figured that too, that maybe another werewolf other than the five bikers is on the loose only we don't know who it could be. It may be the biker chick that is also staying at the motel, we at first thought she was part of the crew until you said there was only five bikers all dudes that arrived in this town" Sam said.

"So, if there is another werewolf other than those biker gang who do you think it its?" Becky asked.

"We don't know but we will figure it out, I promise" Sam said.

"I know you will" Becky said with a sigh.

"You know I feel safe with you here, and I'm not trying to be mushy or anything, I sincerely mean that, I really scared here. My life kind of normal for a while and now I'm dealing with werewolves and people are dying" Becky said feeling real scared again.

"Don't worry, Becky I won't let anything happen to you" Sam assured her.

"I know you won't" Becky said with a smile.

"You know right now we're going to wait for while to make sure that whatever was outside your home is gone and then we are heading out and I'm driving you back to the motel room" Sam said.

"So Dean is really keeping a watch on those bikers at the motel room?" asked Becky.

Sam just nodded.

"And you are now know 100% for sure that they are the werewolves?" Becky asked.

"Yes, we searched their motel rooms when they were going and we some clues that pretty much point to them" he told her.

"So, what is the plan just stake them out all night and follow them around?" Becky asked.

"Well, we plan to trail them around before they have a chance to hunt down their next snack and then of course kill them before they have a chance" said Sam.

"Well, that's good if anybody can do that it's you guys" Becky said happily then changed her expression looking a bit gloomy. "You know right now I really need to take my mind off of werewolves, Billy and whole thing all together, could we just sit here and talk about something else" she told him.

"Sure, anything that make you more comfortable" Sam said as both of them just sat there in silence for a brief moment, neither knew what to talk about but Sam feeling awkward broke the silence.

"So, you been staying here with you aunt for a while?" he asked her awkwardly.

"Yeah, this is or was her place" Becky said.

"Can I ask what happened to her if I'm not overstepping a bit here?" Sam asked her.

"No, you're not, I don't mind talking about her" Becky said then paused for a few seconds then went on.

"She welcomed me with opens arms as they say when I first arrived here. She was very friendly, the friendliest person the folks around here knew, always saying hello, always smiling even when there wasn't a reason to be happy. She called me her favorite niece and that I reminded her so much of herself when she was around my age, I guess we were kind of similar. She didn't have that many friends mainly just Myra whom she would go and play bingo with. In fact, some folks thought she was a bit of an oddball for whatever reason maybe it's because she did love to feed the stray cats that always came around and she would even name them and talk to them like they were her kids. And she also like to talk to her plants since they were living creatures as she would tell me" Becky said almost in one sentence as she tended to talk pretty fast when having conversations.

"How did she die, was there accident or illness?" Sam asked hoping he wasn't prying too much.

Becky paused a bit making Sam believe she didn't want to talk about it, and he was going to back off until she started talking again. First, she let out a sigh.

"It happened during that Darkness when the sky as still all dark and no daylight or anything. Folks were pretty scared already because of that, everything changed. Even the stray cats stopped coming around but the worst thing that happened was sort of epidemic we had here" Becky said.

"What, epidemic?" Sam asked anxiously as this really peaked his interests.

"Like I said, an epidemic where there was a virus going around affecting folks, making sick and eventually die. Plenty of people in this town was infected by it, to the point the town had a lockdown and quarantine. Nobody was allowed to leave or arrive in town and those infected was sent to the hospital which was quarantined. Nobody was allowed to visit them not even close relatives" Becky said.

"Oh snap, Becky were you infected by any chance?" Sam asked concerned. Becky just shook her head.

"No, I was one of the lucky ones, I was given instructions on how to avoid being infected which was to wear plastic gloves so as not make contact with anybody who was infected and to not touch our faces once he had made contact with others even with the gloves on. Instead, we were to wash our hands with the gloves on and sanitize it, then replace it with new gloves. I was so extra cautious, I started wearing gloves even before it was announced and wouldn't be near anybody not even my own aunt Doris. Unfortunately, Aunt Doris wasn't so lucky. She wasn't as cautious as I was and soon enough, she caught the virus and had to be taken to the hospital. I couldn't even visit her. I also washed and sanitized almost everything she had made contact with" Becky explained talking really fast as she usually did when she was excited or really into her story.

"And that is how she died?" Sam asked.

Becky nodded with a sad look on her face.

"Everybody who was infected died" she told him.

"They never found a cure?" Sam asked.

"No, they didn't, just gave instructions on how to avoid being infected and then then the Darkness ended, and daylight appeared again the virus was gone, no more people got infected. They still quarantined the ones that were though and the whole town is still reeling for all of that. Nothing else exciting happened since until these recent killings" Becky told him.

"I guess the Darkness was the result for all of the events then" Sam said.

"I figured as much. I thought after what happened in New York, arriving in Pleasantville was going to be more normal maybe even boring and just simple. I didn't realize I was going from what rollercoaster to another" Becky said.

Sam now felt some guilt for Becky remembering that it was because of him and Dean that Darkness was released and was the reason for a lot of chaos even deaths in the world and now he learns it was the reason Becky lost her aunt, the only other relative Becky chose to reach out too and now she's dead and he knows he played a role in costing her that. Now it makes him think that despite all the things she put him through with the love potion then the marriage thing followed by her being under the influence of a cursed ring, it now didn't compare to what he cost her with him being part of the reason she lost her aunt after reconnecting with her.

"I'm so sorry about your aunt, were the two of you close?" Sam replied a bit remorsefully.

"Yeah, I say we were. We were kind of similar, like me she didn't have many friends only a couple and always felt like freak, a loser and failure like because she was so different and when she was kid, she got picked on too a lot by the other kids. Plus, she never married and had a family of her own while she watched other women, she knew getting married and having kids and she was quite lonely. Well let's say we could relate to each other. But she wasn't as bad as any of them think, we did enjoy the time we had together and then she got infected and died less than two weeks before Darkness finally ended. Hardly anybody came to her funeral just me, Myra and a few others. And she left me this house and her car and all her money and I've just been sticking around figuring out what to do next, find a job or just sell the place and move on" she said.

Sam just sat there and listened and really just felt nothing but sympathy and empathy for Becky and what she's been through.

"Wow, I didn't have any idea, I'm still sorry you want through all that" he told her.

"That's alright Sam, it seems like this is one of the few things we do have in common, we both understand losing a loved one especially in the family and feeling alone in the world, only you have Dean of course" she told him.

"Don't you have any other relatives you can reach out to?" Sam asked her.

Becky thought a bit and seemed like she was going to name someone but then just backtracked.

"Nobody I really want to or hardly know" she told him.

Sam was curious about that remark but decided not to push it.

"Okay, that's enough discussing my family besides I also wanted to take this time to make a confession to you, an important confession that I need to get off my chest right now or I never will" Becky told him.

Sam was curious about this confession and wondered if it had anything to do their encounter in New York. Maybe she wanted to give him a long do apology which she never got the chance to do even though he never held it against her or maybe it's about the love potion and wedding thing all those years back. He had long ago forgiven her about that, but he was willing to listen.

"What is it?" he asked her.

Becky just swallowed and after pausing a bit spoke up.

"Well, you see, I'm the reason you and Dean are here in the first place" she told him.

Update: I'm sorry I took to long to post again. I will try to post chapters sooner but I can't make any promises but keep reading and please give more reviews.
