Chapter 49 Dirty Laundry
After getting off the phone with Sam, Dean hopped right on the back of the motorcycle with Jen in front as the driver. Soon they were off on the road riding pretty fast in the night. Dean had to admit it, that he had a bit of a fantasy of riding a motorcycle dressing as a biker but the idea of riding in the back with a hot biker chick driving had also been a bit of turn on the past and still is. Under different circumstances this would normally end with them having hot passionate sex after their ordeal but now he's a one-woman man totally devoted to Ava. It didn't take them too long to get the Country Line bar, since it's a small town. Once inside, the place didn't seem to be packing like it usually does at night.
There were not that many people at the bar, just some locals and of course all of the bikers were there as a couple of them were now at the pool table playing a game of pool while the other three were sitting down at the table near the big wide television in an upper corner and seemed to be enjoying watching what was on. As Dean and Ava walked in together, the three bikers at the table all turned towards there direction and glared at them.
Then one of them got up and went over to the two bikers at the pool table and said something to them and soon the two bikers looked in their direction. It was clear to Dean that these bikers are aware of them and sensed that may not be a good thing since they might know who they are and their purpose of them being there and if that is the case, both he and Jen could be in big trouble.
"Wow, doesn't seem like the place is packing tonight" Jen said looking around.
"Yeah, I suppose those three murders that happened may have something to do it. Nobody wants to go at the night with the boogeyman or I say boogeymen is out lurking about" Dean said.
"Okay what's the plan, Sherlock?" Jen asked.
"You're asking me?, I thought you were the Lone Hunter, who came to town on a vendetta, figured you had come up with a plan once you got here" Dean told her.
"I was just going to come down here and keep an eye on them all night if I had too but maybe figured you something better" Jen told him.
"No, I was pretty much going to do the same thing and then trail any of them if they left" Dean said.
"Look, I could use a beer, let's just order some drinks and sit down somewhere and keep an eye on them while we wait until your sidekick brother gets here" Jen said.
"That's sound like a good idea, I could use drink too" Dean told her.
They both went up to the counter where the bartender was and each ordered a beer and then after bartender served them, they took their drinks, found an empty table and sat down as they occasionally glanced over at the bikers. Dean noticed Jen looking glaring sternly at the bikers as if she knew them and suddenly remembered her telling him that this case was personal to her.
"Okay, while we wait her you might as well tell me why this is so personal to you" Dean told her.
"Huh?" Jen asked had been distracted by staring at the bikers.
"You told me back at the motel that this case is personal to you and from the way you're looking at these bikers I would say you had beef with them so, you want to tell me why, I mean we got some hours to kill" Dean said as he drank his beer.
Jen just sighed and took another drink of her beer and then faced him.
"Alright, here it goes. About three years ago, I used to hang out with this crew, in fact, the leader was my boyfriend, and they were into some shady things, no selling dope or guns or anything like that but kind of not necessarily legal. Anyway, one night while we were in Idaho, we were just chilling outside in the woods having more than a few drinks and some were even smoking a bit of weed, when this biker gang showed up to hang out with us. They were friendly enough brought more vodka and beer, so my boyfriend Zap just welcomed them, and we all partied with each other. Some of chicks in our crew hooked up with some of the bikers, we shared our weed with them, and it was all good for a while. Then maybe about almost two hours passed when all chaos went loose.
All of the sudden, out of nowhere, those bikers turned into freaks, monsters with teeth and claws and they soon attacked members of our crew and started killing them I mean ripping their throats or whatever and offing them one by one. Me and Zap tried to hightail it out of there, but their leader blocked us, Zap tried to protect me, and that freak pounced on him and tore out his throat and chest. I can still remember the last time I saw him, on the ground dead while that S.O.B. just ate his heart. That haunts me to this day" she explained as she stopped a bit to take a breath and had a sad look on her face.
Then she went on with her story. "The only reason I got of there was because of this hunter showed up and killed off some of those freaks with a gun using silver bullets. Some tried to jump him, but he was too fast for them and wasted their asses you might say. He was able to get plenty of them but some of them including that leader were able to hop on their bikes and get away" she finished.
"So, this hunter came of nowhere and saved your life?" Dean asked.
Jen nodded. "Basically" she said. Then she sighed and went on again with her story. "He was some old dude who had been tracking them for a quite some time and to arrive just as those werewolves were killing our crew. I ended up being the only one to survive that blood bath. Anyway, this was the first time I learned about monsters existing in the world and about hunters and what they do. That hunter, Wayne was his name told me all about it right down to demons and that he had been doing hunting these monsters most of his life and those creatures that killed my crew were werewolves.
Anyway, I was hell bent on revenge on those werewolves and begged Wayne to teach me everything he knows about hunting so I could kill him, I even wanted him to take me on as his protégé or something like that but he out right turned me down. He said he was a loner and couldn't be having some young thing like me tagging along and end up in danger" she explained.
"Sounds like a smart dude" Dean replied.
"Well, when he saw that I wasn't going to let my need for revenge go, hell I would have gone on my own to hunt those murdering freaks down as soon as I got my hands on some silver bullets, he I guess feared I put myself in danger if I wasn't trained so he took me along with him and sent me all the way down to Nevada to an old hunting acquaintance, Lou who had retired and lived alone some cabin out in the country and Wayne urged Lou to train me teaching me all there is to know about hunting. He claimed Lou owed him a favor though personally, I thought those two had a thing going on in the past" she finished.
Dean's eyes lit after hearing her last part of the sentence. "You mean this Wayne dude and this old hunting pal Lou were…" before he could finish his sentence, Jen interrupted really quick.
"Hold your horses there, Lou is an old broad, with tits and all, Lou is short for Louise" she told him.
"Oh" Dean said even though he himself personally had no problem if two male hunters were gay, but he just felt a bit taken aback.
"Not that there anything wrong with two men being into each other, hell I'm into both dudes and chicks myself and been with both" she said with a smirk on her face and for a moment Dean felt a bit turned on by her comment.
Jen to another sip of her beer then continued. "Anyway, Lou basically showed me the ropes, taught me everything about hunting monsters, devil traps, exorcising demons and all of that stuff. She also taught me how to use a firearm and how to fight, although I already knew how to fight some, she taught me extra skills so I could be a better fighter and really defend myself and she didn't hold back. I ended up with bruises more than I could count. She sure was tough for an old broad" Jen said then she paused a bit to take another drink of her beer and went on.
"She trained me for a long while until I finally felt confident that I could go out and hunt and I took everything I needed and just one day left to go out and do what I was trained to do, and I manage to hunt down plenty of monsters and do what had to do and survive and I saved some lives along the way, and it felt good. But I was still intent on finding those biker freaks and hunt them down and kill them all for what they did to my boyfriend and our crew but for the longest time I had trouble finding those bastards.
Whenever I thought I found a lead on them it ended up being another pack of werewolves, although I got to kill some more monsters anyway and it felt like I was avenging Zap and the gang. Then after all this time, I finally found a lead on them when I learned about the killings in this town, I thought it could be them, so I arrived to check it out and sure enough, it was them, those freaks that killed my boyfriend and his gang. I definitely recognize their leader over their" Jen said and turned and glanced at the leader who was now at the pool table having his turn while some of the other bikers where still occasionally glancing their way.
"Okay, but the thing is if you recognize them, what if they recognize you?" Dean asked her.
"I don't think they did. You see back then when I first encountered them, I looked rather different. I mean, my hair was much shorter, and it was black with some purple and blue streaks, dark makeup, I looked like some freaking goth chick" she told him.
"Are you sure?" Dean asked her.
"Yeah, besides if they recognized me, they would have done something by now. I guess it wasn't very important to be familiar with all their victims," Jen told him.
"Well, I get your determination, and I don't blame you; I would have done the same thing if I was in your shoes" Dean told her.
"Yeah, and I assume your partner in all of this are here too and we're all after the same thing, we could work together on this, so we all get what we want. Like I said before, I'm usually a loner, but I don't mind working with another hunter to get the job done, I've done it before" she told him.
"Hey, I'm with you there, we just have to wait now for my brother to get here and come up with a plan" Dean told her. "The only thing, that leader over there is all mine once we bump off those freaks, I have personal score to settle with him" Jen said as she briefly glanced at the leader who wasn't paying attention now then back at Dean.
"Sure, thing I get it, me and Sam will take out the others and we'll leave the boss man all to you to do whatever you want" Dean told her.
Jen then finished her drink and just sighed. "You know since we're here, I don't see why we can't have a little fun until your bro gets here that is" she said.
"What do you have in mind?" Dean asked curiously.
Jen just gave a little smirk. "I mean, right now they're playing my jam, so let's get that dancing floor and do some foot work right now" she told him.
Dean just had of a puzzled look on his face. "You want us to get up and dance together?" he asked her.
"That's the idea" she said slyly.
"You mean right now with those bikers here and all that's been going on, you want us to dance like it's a party?" Dean said wondering this this chick is for real.
"Hey, just because we're out on a stakeout doesn't mean we can have a little fun too while we're at it. Look, I'm getting restless just sitting here to watch those bastards. I need something to unload, and a little dancing won't hurt besides, we can keep our eyes on them the whole time and I think it would take them off guard since, if they think we're a couple of lovebirds just having a good time, they won't so suspicious if you haven't noticed them eyeing us occasionally since we got here" Jen said.
Dean had noticed that too and it made him worry if they were on to them somehow. "Look, I'm not really in the mood to be two-stepping right at this moment" he replied.
"Well, I can get you in the mood and if you don't know how I'll show you" she said slyly.
"I also didn't mention I have a girlfriend back home that I'm very committed to" he said as he started to think about Ava and worry about what she would think and to cover up the fact that a part of him was beginning to feel tempted by Jen.
"Dammit why did she have to be so hot" he thought to himself.
"Hey, I'm not suggesting we have a love affair or even a random hookup, unless you want that is" she said slyly making Dean even more uncomfortable.
"Oh, for heaven's sake, I was just kidding there, don't be so sensitive. Seriously, the only thing we'll do is dance nothing else, I promise I won't try anything, cross my heart and hope to die" she told him as she gave a cross sign on her chest and then gave him a little another sly grin".
Dean was still hesitant not wanting to do this, but she was getting persistent which only reminded him of Ava who could be that way.
"You know if you don't want to, I could just dance by myself or better yet, I may ask any of these dudes or chicks to dance, maybe even those bikers, maybe they wouldn't mind getting their groove on before we ice them that is" she said.
"Jen come on" Dean said even though he didn't believe her however, a part of worried that she would do just that.
"I won't have a choice if you won't" Jen said teasingly.
Dean finally just sighed. "Alright, one dance and that's all okay" he said.
"Fine" Jen told him and then she got up and grabbed his wrist and pulled him up off his chair and as he got up, she led him to the middle of the dance floor.
Only a few other people were now slow dancing to a now slow-paced song. Soon, Dean and Jen started slow dancing. Dean was quite awkward, so Jen pulled him closer to her, so their bodies were touching.
"Hey, we got to at least make this look real for our audience out there, come on don't be so stiff" she told him.
Dean just had his arms around her but feeling bit awkward dancing so close with another woman feeling like he was being unfaithful somehow.
"Hey, if it would make you loosen up a bit, you can pretend that I'm your girlfriend" she murmured to him as they just slow danced to the music.
This just made Dean feel a bit more awkward. They continued to dance to the music as Jen made a quick glance at some of the bikers to see what they were doing.
"Hey, I just noticed something interesting" she told Dean.
"What?" Dean asked her trying to keep up with the dancing.
"The head honcho seems to be engaging in some kind of conversation with the bartender over there" she said as she directed Dean with her head to where the biker was.
Dean turned his head a bit and also noticed that the leader of the bikers was now talking to the bartender, and they appeared to be engaging in some heavy conversation not at all like a customer who sometimes engages with the bartender. In fact, their conversation seemed to be quite long and serious from their mannerisms.
"Wonder what he could be talking about with the bartender?" Dean asked.
"Beats me, but it seems to be serious, don't know what to make of it though" Jen answered.
"Me neither, could be nothing though" Dean said.
"Probably, I mean what does the leader of the pack need to discuss with the bartender anyway" Jen said.
"I get what you're saying" Dean replied.
"I just have a funny feeling though, especially the way they were engaging with each other that something is up" Jen said.
"Yeah, you read my mind exactly" Dean told her.
The music was over, and the other couples stopped dancing including Dean and Jen. They noticed that some of the bikers were no longer playing pool but now at the tables engaging in conversation with each other although they couldn't make out what they were saying.
"Well, since the gang is still here, I don't see there isn't any reason to play a little pool" Jen said.
"What now, but what if we get so distracted, we don't see them leave?" Dean asked her.
"Don't worry, we can take turns keeping tabs on them while playing, when we take our turn the other can just glance their way without being obvious" she told him.
Dean paused for a moment, but he realized he couldn't think of anything better.
"Okay" he said nodding his head.
"Good because I'm so going to wipe the floor with you" Jen told him slyly.
"Now that is a challenge" Dean replied.
Soon they both headed to the pool table and started playing and Jen went first while Dean slowly glanced in the direction of the five bikers who were still near the bar talking to having their drinks and talking among themselves. After Jen's turn, Dean took his while Jen briefly glanced at the bikers.
"So far those guys haven't budge, just appears to be having a good time" she told Dean.
"Yeah, I bet they here for a while, this seems to be their regular hangout since arriving in this town" Dean said as he continued on with is shot.
They continued on with their pool game and started to unwind and enjoy themselves too but not too much that they forgot about the bikers which they took turns eyeing every now and then. After about over five minutes into their pool game, Sam and Becky finally showed up. Neither Dean nor Jen noticed them coming in, but the bikers spotted them and glanced their way for while Becky looked a bit uncomfortable inside the bar as she looked around her surroundings. Sam looks around as he and Becky enter the bar hoping to find Dean and then Sam notices him and Jen at the pool table.
"Hey, look I see Dean, come on" he told her and urged to follow him.
Becky obeyed and they both went over to the pool table where Dean and Jen were laughing as they were playing pool together trying to one up each other. Dean then noticed Sam and Becky as they headed over to them.
"Well finally, took you long enough" Dean said with a sigh.
"Hey, don't you start, I came over here expecting you to be keeping tabs on those bikers and you over here playing pool instead" Sam said.
"Relax, we just needed to unload a bit, being stuck in this place on a stakeout and besides, we were keeping tabs on those bikers the whole time" Dean said.
He then noticed Becky was with him which left him confused.
"Hey, what the heck is she doing here?" he asked her.
"Yeah, nice to see you too Dean" Becky said sarcastic.
"Look, I didn't have a choice, she refuses to stay at the motel, didn't want to be alone" Sam explained.
"So, you brought her here?" Dean said in an impatient tone.
"Like I said, there was no other option. After the trouble, we had back at her place she was too scared to be left alone at the motel, said she felt safer with me and she refused to stay there and insisted on coming along, even said she would just follow me to the this place, if I just dumped her there and after what happened, I didn't want to risk her walking alone at night, so I figure it would be better she be here with us so we can keep her safe" Sam told him.
Dean just looked annoyed and not wanting to draw attention, he walked over to Sam to and lowered his voice so nobody else could here. "Are you nuts Sam, safe here with those you know who right here too" he told him.
"Hey, it's not like they are going to do anything in public and if they leave maybe we can follow them and just leave Becky here with your new hunter gal pal to take her back to the motel and keep her company" Sam told him glancing at Jen briefly.
Dean turned to Jen and realized he hadn't made a proper introduction, so he went back over to Jen.
"Oh, I forgot, Sam this is Jen, she's one of us as I told you and she's here for the same reason we are, it's a long story that I'll tell you later and Jen this my brother Sam" he replied.
"Hello, nice to meet you" Sam said, however Jen didn't respond because she was too busy locking eyes with Becky who was also locking eyes with her and neither of them moved both of them just staring at one another in shock.
It appeared like they were old friends that hadn't seen each other in a long time.
Both Sam and Dean noticed this as they just glanced back in forth between Jen and Becky.
"Jenny?" Becky cried out still looking shocked.
"Becs, what sand blaze hell are you doing here!" cried out Jen forgetting that others can hear her.
"Me, well what are you doing here!" Becky fired back.
"I asked first" cried out Jen as neither of the women looked too thrilled seeing each other.
"I happened to live here now" Becky said in an angry tone.
Jen's eyes just lit up in shock.
"You live here, in this tiny hick town!" Jen cried out as onlookers kept turning around glaring at them.
"Of course, you wouldn't know that I haven't seen and heard from you and how many years now" Becky fired back.
Jen just sighed looking annoyed. "Wow, of all the dumb luck of finding you here of all places" she said.
"I could say the same about you but more like bad luck" Becky fired back still looking angry.
Both Dean and Sam just stood there looking confused.
"Hey, look is somebody going to tell us what the heck is going on, I mean we take it that you two know each other" Dean replied.
"You can say that" Jen replied.
"You can say that is an understatement" Becky fired back. "
Hey, well why don't you clue us" Dean replied.
Sam then turned to Becky. "Becky, how do you know her?" he asked eagerly.
"Yeah, Becs, aren't you going to tell you pals here who I am?" Jen replied.
"Well, both of you brace yourselves, this my big sister Jenny" Becky told them.
Both Sam and Dean just stood there with their mouths open not knowing what to say next.
