Jiminy's Journal I
The Story So Far:
Twilight Town:
My, oh my! It's hard to know where to begin. We all woke up together in the strangest of places—an old, abandoned mansion right on the outskirts of a place called Twilight Town. And what a sight we were! Sora has grown so much while we were asleep that his clothes barely fit him anymore. How long were we asleep, anyway? It's a mystery I sure hope we solve.
The only thing in my journal said, 'Thank Naminé'. How mysterious. Another mystery needing to be solved.
We left that dusty mansion and headed into town, hoping to find some answers. Twilight Town had a pleasant, almost dreamy quality to it, with cobblestone streets and warm sunlight. Our first stop brought us face-to-face with a pair of adventurers named Ratchet and Clank. They seemed nice enough, though Ratchet did tell us to look out for a man named "Captain Qwark" and send him their way if we saw him. Quite the character, from what we gathered!
We continued our search and found ourselves in a hangout spot belonging to three friendly kids: Hayner, Pence, and Olette. They were helpful and revealed that the King—yes, King Mickey—was in town and looking for us! Well, that got our hearts racing. If the King was here, we had to find him, and fast!
We made our way toward the station but ended up in a place called the Sandlot, and wouldn't you know it, we found Captain Qwark himself. He made quite the impression, but not necessarily a good one. He got Sora and Donald's names completely wrong, which really got under Donald's feathers. Fortunately, Ratchet and Clank appeared just in time to defuse the situation, and Ratchet mentioned that someone else was looking for us—Silver the Hedgehog! Now, that was a shocker! Silver, who helped us seal the Door to Darkness, was supposed to be trapped in the dark or at least back in his own time. What on earth was he doing here?
Puzzled but determined, we headed to the station. That's when things took a turn for the worse. We were ambushed by strange, slithery creatures! Sora, Donald, and Goofy tried their best, but they were still regaining their strength after our long slumber and struggled to fend them off. It was looking grim until—whoosh!—the King and Silver appeared and took care of those monsters with ease. They told us to board the train and leave, but before we could ask any more questions, they were gone in a flash!
With no other options, we said our goodbyes to Hayner, Pence, Olette, Ratchet, Clank, and even Captain Qwark, who was still hopelessly mixing up names. Then we boarded the train, not quite sure where it would take us, but with hope in our hearts and a sense of adventure stirring. Where we're headed, I don't know, but I have a feeling we're about to find out!
Yen Sid's Mysterious Tower:
After arriving at Master Yen Sid's Mysterious Tower aboard that strange blue and gold train from Twilight Town (I'm still getting used to these magical rides!), our heroes stumbled right into trouble. We ran into none other than that old rascal Pete! How he escaped his banishment is still a head-scratcher, but he was certainly up to no good, blabbering about Maleficent and building an army of Heartless. Thankfully, he and his Heartless were no real trouble—though something tells me we haven't seen the last of him.
Once Pete was out of the picture, we made our way up the tower to meet the wise and powerful Master Yen Sid. It was Sora's first time meeting him, and let me tell you, Yen Sid's presence is something else! He explained that while our previous efforts had restored the worlds, new threats had emerged: beings called Nobodies and a mysterious group called Organization XIII. According to Yen Sid, these Nobodies are empty shells left behind when strong-willed people become Heartless. Creepy, right?
The surprises didn't end there. Turns out our old friend Silver the Hedgehog is still stuck in the past! After helping us close the Door to Darkness, he couldn't return to his future. He's been lending a hand where he can, but it sure is a shame he can't find his way home yet. Still, he's determined to keep fighting alongside us, and we're mighty grateful for that!
Next up, Sora got some new duds from the three fairies—Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. Let's just say there was quite the magical fashion show! His new outfit isn't just stylish; it's packed with magical abilities that'll help on our journey. Oh, and the best part? Sora can now wield two Keyblades at once! Talk about impressive!
Before we set off, Master Yen Sid also gave us our new Gummi Ship, fully equipped and ready to explore new pathways between worlds. With Heartless, Nobodies, and Organization XIII lurking around every corner, we're in for quite the adventure. But with Sora, Donald, and Goofy sticking together, I'm sure we can handle whatever comes our way!
Until next time, stay brave and keep your hearts full of light!
Hollow Bastion:
Gosh, it sure has been a whirlwind of events here in Hollow Bastion! Where do I even begin?
Our adventure kicked off in the bustling Market Place, where Sora, Donald, and Goofy ran into none other than Rouge the Bat and E-123 Omega. Turns out, they're here on official G.U.N. business, investigating the increased Heartless and Nobody activity. Rouge was as sharp as ever, and Omega was... well, Omega—blunt and to the point! They mentioned that Shadow the Hedgehog had gone AWOL after chasing Pete into the castle, and, to our surprise, a new recruit was tagging along with him. More on that later!
From there, we moved on to the Borough and bumped into Donald's Uncle Scrooge, who was trying (and failing) to recreate his favorite Ice Cream flavor. Omega didn't seem too pleased about Scrooge's past financial activities—apparently, G.U.N.'s got a file on the old duck! Boy, that made for a funny little scene. But soon enough, things took a serious turn when we met Yuffie and were nearly ambushed by Dusks. Thankfully, just in the nick of time, Sonic came zooming in to save the day. The Blue Blur hasn't lost a step, and it was great to have him back on our side!
We all made our way to Merlin's place, where more reunions awaited us. There were Leon and Aerith, looking well as ever. Over at the computer, Tails and Cid were hard at work trying to repair the world's defense system. But it was also in Merlin's study that we got a bit of a shock. See, everyone in Hollow Bastion, including Sonic and Tails, had forgotten about Sora, Donald, and Goofy until recently. (Gee, I wonder if they forgot me too!) Thankfully, they remembered us, but the whole thing remains a mystery.
Rouge and Omega filled us in on Shadow and his unexpected partner: Aqua. It seems Aqua is a Keyblade Master who's now working with G.U.N. while also dealing with some important mission of her own. More Keyblade wielders! Who knew there were so many of them?
Sadly, no signs of Riku, The King or Silver on this world. The search continues.
Then came the introduction of a new ally: Captain Marvel! Carol Danvers made quite the entrance, bringing Sonic the blue Chaos Emerald she'd tracked down. Her powers and confidence left Sora, Donald and Goofy in awe, and she seems like quite the force to be reckoned with! But soon enough, we were off to the Bailey, where Leon showed us the Nobodies and Heartless gathering around the castle. Things got even more intense when we had a cryptic encounter with some Organization XIII members, and Carol was taunted about her home world, Earth, being in danger. It really rattled her, but the gang helped remind her to stay strong. In the end, Carol decided to fly back home and check on her world. We all wished her well, and Leon even joked about sending her a bill for the wall she blasted!
And last but not least, Tails presented Sonic with a Wisp Bangle, a gadget he created using his tech skills and Merlin's magic. It lets Sonic channel Wisp energy, starting with the Rocket Wisp, to help him on our adventure. We'll have to keep our eyes out for more Wisps along the way!
With new allies, old friends, and a mission to save the worlds once again, we're ready for whatever comes next. Let's see what adventure has in store!
Until next time, Journal!
Character Files:
Sonic the Hedgehog
Voiced by: Roger Craig Smith
First Appearance: Sonic the Hedgehog (1991)
The fastest thing alive and an adventurer at heart, Sonic is always ready to defend his world and any others that need help. With his signature cocky attitude and fierce loyalty, he's the ultimate hero, known for blazing across landscapes with incredible speed and munching on his favorite snack: chili dogs. Sonic is on the hunt for the Chaos Emeralds, as the Master Emerald back on Mobius has been acting erratically. Now reunited with Sora, Donald, and Goofy, the Blue Blur is set for more high-speed adventures and to protect the balance between worlds once again.
Likes: Chili dogs, running, freedom, exploring new places and protecting his friends.
Dislikes: Doctor Eggman, enclosed spaces, going slow and water.
Fun Fact: Sonic humorously admitted that even he can get a little nervous about how fast he runs, especially if he's pushing himself to the limit. He's also revealed his love for a good pun, showing off his playful side beyond his heroics.
Sora
Voiced by: Haley Joel Osment
First Appearance: Kingdom Hearts (2002)
A boy chosen by the Keyblade, Sora stands out for his boundless optimism, unwavering courage, and a heart as strong as his resolve. The Keyblade is a mysterious weapon said to choose only those with the purest of hearts, and Sora has proven time and again that he is worthy of this great responsibility. Not long ago, he journeyed alongside Donald, Goofy, and Sonic in search of his dear friend Kairi, who had been lost to the darkness, all while aiding Sonic in restoring his world, Mobius. Together, they fought back the looming shadows and saved the universe from impending doom.
Following these adventures, Sora set off on a mission to find his best friend, Riku, who had sacrificed himself to help seal the door to darkness. Unfortunately, in his quest, Sora fell into a deep slumber. Now, with a new outfit and even greater determination, Sora has awakened and is once more ready to face whatever trials await him, with the promise of reuniting with his friends driving him forward.
Likes: Making new friends, exploring worlds full of mystery and adventure, sharing simple moments with Kairi and Riku, and being a source of hope for those in need.
Dislikes: The pain of losing someone close, being unable to protect those he loves, the emptiness of separation, and witnessing friends fall into darkness.
Fun Fact: Despite his grand adventures, Sora remains a simple island boy at heart. He treasures the mundane joys of his childhood, like racing Riku or relaxing on Destiny Islands with Kairi and Riku. Even when traveling across worlds, his heart often longs for the peaceful life he once knew, showcasing his grounding in love and friendship.
Donald Duck
Voiced by: Tony Anselmo
First Appearance: The Wise Little Hen (1934)
The Royal Court Magician of Disney Castle and a loyal attendant to King Mickey, Donald is as dedicated as he is temperamental. Not long ago, he left his home alongside Goofy to search for their missing king, and on this journey, they befriended Sora and Sonic. Together, the duo helped Sora and Sonic save multiple worlds from the encroaching darkness. After their triumphant efforts, they resumed their search for King Mickey, who had remained in the Realm of Darkness with Shadow, Silver, and Riku. Unfortunately, before finding him, the three friends fell into a deep, mysterious slumber. Now awake, Donald continues to wield his powerful magic, albeit with a tendency for dramatic outbursts and humorous misadventures.
Likes: Learning powerful spells, proving his skills, taking pride in his position as the Royal Magician, and sharing quiet moments with Daisy when he's not out adventuring.
Dislikes: Losing his temper, being underestimated by others, being caught off-guard or ambushed, and seeing his friends put themselves in danger without thinking.
Fun Fact: Donald has an infamous reputation for getting knocked out in battle more than any other party member, often to comedic effect. He has been told to prioritize defensive magic and potions to keep him standing longer, but even then, it's a running joke that Donald ends up taking the most hits .
Goofy
Voiced by: Bill Farmer
First Appearance: Mickey's Revue (1932)
Not long ago, Goofy left Disney Castle with Donald in search of King Mickey. Along the way, they joined Sora, obeying the King's command to "follow the Keybearer." He also became good friends with Sonic the Hedgehog. After helping save the worlds from darkness, Goofy continued on his quest to find the King. But like Donald and Sora, he fell into a deep slumber before he could finish the quest. Wonder what Goofy was doing just before he fell asleep?
Likes: Spending time with his son, Max; protecting his friends with his trusty shield; telling stories that lift everyone's spirits; and enjoying a hearty laugh, especially with his pals Donald, Sora and Sonic.
Dislikes: Unnecessary conflict, seeing friends get hurt, being rushed into making decisions, and anything that puts his loved ones in harm's way.
Fun Fact: Despite being Captain of the Royal Knights of Disney Castle, Goofy famously avoids traditional weapons, preferring to fight with his shield. His knack for improvisation in battle, such as using his shield to deflect powerful spells or protect his friends from harm, often saves the day in unexpected ways.
Miles "Tails" Prower
Voiced by: Colleen O'Shaughnessey
First Appearance: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (1992)
Tails is a brilliant young fox with two distinct twin-tails, which he uses to fly by rotating them like helicopter rotors. As Sonic's loyal sidekick and a mechanical prodigy, Tails has saved Mobius numerous times, both alongside Sonic and on his own. Notably, a few years ago, he thwarted Dr. Eggman's plans in Station Square, showcasing his bravery and combat skills when necessary. Recently, Tails joined Sonic and Captain Marvel on their journey to Hollow Bastion to locate the Chaos Emeralds. Currently, he's collaborating with Cid and the Restoration Committee to enhance the world's defense system, 'Claymore'.
Likes: Inventing new gadgets, flying his plane, reading technical manuals, and enjoying mint candies.
Dislikes: Being underestimated, seeing machines mistreated, thunderstorms, and being left out of adventures.
Fun Fact: Tails has an insatiable sweet tooth for mint candies. According to Sonic, his fondness for them can be a bit overwhelming at times.
Knuckles the Echidna
Voiced by: Dave B. Mitchell
First Appearance: Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (1994)
Knuckles is the last of his kind, a red echidna dedicated to guarding the Master Emerald on Angel Island. In our recent adventures, he sought the shattered pieces of the Master Emerald and aided Silver in defeating Maleficent's dragon form, alongside our friends Moegi, Rika, Tyris, and Blaze. Currently, Knuckles remains on Mobius, vigilantly watching over the Master Emerald on Angel Island, which has been exhibiting unusual behavior lately. With Sonic off-world collecting the Chaos Emeralds and Shadow's whereabouts unknown, Knuckles has taken on the role of Mobius's protector as well.
Likes: Solitude, treasure hunting, digging, and the tranquility of nature.
Dislikes: Being deceived, having his duty questioned, unnecessary conflicts, and disruptions to his island's peace.
Fun Fact: Despite his tough exterior, Knuckles has a soft spot for grapes and enjoys them as a favorite snack.
Ratchet
Voiced by: James Arnold Taylor
First Appearance: Ratchet & Clank (2002)
Ratchet is an intergalactic hero and skilled mechanic, one of the last known Lombaxes in the universe. Originally from Fastoon in the Polaris Galaxy, he grew up as an orphan on Veldin, where his life took a dramatic turn after meeting his robotic companion, Clank. Together, they've embarked on countless adventures, saving worlds and even joining forces with the ever-egotistical Captain Qwark (though that partnership often came with its own set of headaches). Ratchet and Clank crossed paths with Sora, Donald, and Goofy in Twilight Town, leaving quite the impression. Something tells me we haven't seen the last of Ratchet, Clank, and, perhaps unfortunately, Captain Qwark!
Likes: Crafting new gadgets from spare parts, exploring uncharted worlds, and piloting high-speed spacecraft with precision and style.
Dislikes: Injustice in any form, technology that refuses to work right when needed most, and egotistical allies (like Captain Qwark) who cause more problems than they solve.
Fun Fact: Ratchet's trusty OmniWrench isn't just for combat! It's also a multipurpose tool for repairing ships, opening locked hatches, and even fine-tuning Clank's gears. Though I'm not entirely sure how it all works, I'd wager that Ratchet's resourcefulness makes him ready for just about any challenge. Here's hoping our paths cross again—preferably without a malfunction or Qwark-induced chaos!
Clank
Voiced by: David Kaye
First Appearance: Ratchet & Clank (2002)
Now, Clank is one fascinating fellow! This polite, highly intelligent robot has been Ratchet's guiding light on countless adventures, serving as the voice of reason and often the strategist when things get dicey. I remember when Sora, Donald, and Goofy had a brief encounter with Ratchet and Clank in Twilight Town. Clank struck me as a gentle and thoughtful sort, always eager to lend a gear or two when needed.
Likes: Enjoys working through puzzles, delving into new technologies, and cherishing moments of peace amidst the chaos of his travels.
Dislikes: Senseless violence, poorly maintained machinery, and having to patch up Ratchet's hasty mechanical fixes.
Fun Fact: Did you know that Clank can transform into "Giant Clank" when the need arises? I've heard it's a sight to see! Sadly, I'm not entirely sure of all the incredible things this resourceful robot can do. It makes me wish we'll cross paths again—I'd love to jot down more notes about his adventures and learn just how far his robotic abilities can go.
Captain Qwark
Voiced by: Jim Ward
First Appearance: Ratchet & Clank (2002)
Where do we even begin with Captain Qwark? A self-proclaimed "Hero of the Galaxy," Qwark is as egotistical as they come, often exaggerating his accomplishments to maintain his fame. Yet beneath his flamboyant and boastful exterior lies a character who occasionally steps up to do the right thing (usually by accident). When Sora, Donald, and Goofy ran into him in Twilight Town, he was proudly wielding his green Struggle hammer, though he had trouble getting names right… just ask Donald!
Likes: Basking in fame, writing (or embellishing) his heroic memoirs, Struggle matches, and finding new ways to be the center of attention.
Dislikes: Being exposed as a fraud, serious threats that put him at risk, and anything that could damage his superhero image.
Fun Fact: Despite his ego, Qwark has surprising moments of bravery when the chips are down. However, he's notorious for getting names mixed up and has even called Sora, Donald and Goofy by the wrong names multiple times, much to their annoyance. I suspects that Qwark may need a refresher on remembering friends and foes alike!
Silver the Hedgehog
Voiced by: Bryce Papenbrook
First Appearance: Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)
Silver is a time-traveling hedgehog from the future who lent a hand in our last adventure, helping to take down Maleficent and the Heartless, and aiding Sora, Sonic, and the team in closing the Door to Darkness. It seems Silver is currently stuck in the past and hasn't returned to his time. But it was good to see our friend well and out of the darkness, even though we saw him briefly with the King.
Silver possesses remarkable psychokinetic abilities, allowing him to manipulate objects and even levitate himself with his mind. His heart of gold drives him to fight for justice and protect those in need. However, Sonic has mentioned that Silver can be a bit gullible at times, often trusting others too easily.
Likes: A peaceful world, blue skies, seeing happy people, and serving the greater good.
Dislikes: Injustice, evil, being interrupted en route to his goal, and seeing people brought down in any way.
Fun Fact: Despite his sometimes serious demeanour, Silver has a soft spot for apples and enjoys the simple pleasure of eating them.
King Mickey
Voiced by: Bret Iwan
First Appearance: Steamboat Willie (1928)
King Mickey, the benevolent ruler of Disney Castle, is more than a monarch—he's also a skilled Keyblade wielder. He was last seen sealing the Door to Darkness alongside Sora and Super Shadow, heroically staying behind to keep the darkness at bay. Recently, he appeared in Twilight Town with Silver the Hedgehog, and I can only hope we cross paths with him again soon.
Likes: Exploring new worlds, forging friendships, studying ancient lore, and spending quality time with Queen Minnie.
Dislikes: Injustice, the spread of darkness, seeing his friends in danger, and neglecting his royal duties.
Fun Fact: King Mickey wields a powerful Keyblade called the "Kingdom Key D." It's almost identical to Sora's, but with inverted colors—silver on the handle and gold on the blade. This unique Keyblade was indeed discovered in the Realm of Darkness, a testament to Mickey's unwavering bravery and commitment to the light.
Hayner
Voiced by: Justin Cowden
First Appearance: Kingdom Hearts II (2005)
Hayner is the unofficial leader of the Twilight Town gang, known for his fierce determination and strong sense of justice. He often takes charge in planning adventures or standing up against the likes of Seifer and his crew, whom he can't stand. Competitive and brave, Hayner is always ready for a Struggle match, whether it's for fun or to defend his friends.
Likes: Struggle matches, hanging out with his friends, adventure, and winning.
Dislikes: Seifer and his crew, being outsmarted, boring days, and losing (especially in Struggle).
Fun Fact: Hayner holds the record for the longest unbroken winning streak in Twilight Town's Struggle matches. He's convinced that one more win will make him a legend—if only Seifer would stop challenging him at every turn!
Pence
Voiced by: Sean Marquette
First Appearance: Kingdom Hearts II (2005)
Pence is the laid-back, tech-savvy member of the group, with a love for all things digital and a particular talent for photography. He has a knack for solving puzzles and collecting data, often assisting his friends with useful information. When not investigating mysteries around Twilight Town, he's usually found trying to beat the latest video game, especially his nemesis, Mr. Needlemouse 3.
Likes: Technology, video games, photography, unsolved mysteries, and eating sea-salt ice cream.
Dislikes: Losing at games, low battery warnings, mysteries left unsolved, and bugs in software.
Fun Fact: Pence has been on a mission to defeat the boss battle with Brick in Mr. Needlemouse 3. He curses that it's nearly impossible to dodge Brick's spinning punch attack, but he's determined to win… someday!
Olette
Voiced by: Jessica DiCicco
First Appearance: Kingdom Hearts II (2005)
Olette is the thoughtful and caring member of the Twilight Town trio. She keeps her friends grounded and often takes the role of organizing their outings and keeping everyone on schedule. Despite her maturity, she loves a good adventure and enjoys shopping for new accessories or gifts to share with her friends.
Likes: Shopping, making plans, spending time with her friends, and keeping a tidy room.
Dislikes: Messes, being late, people arguing, and losing her shopping list.
Fun Fact: Olette has a secret goal of visiting every shop in Twilight Town at least once and sampling their best items. She even keeps a little notebook to rate each one, but only Hayner and Pence know about her quirky little hobby!
Master Yen Sid
Voiced by: Corey Burton
First Appearance: Fantasia (1940)
Master Yen Sid is a wise and powerful sorcerer, known for his vast knowledge of magic and the Keyblade. Once a Keyblade Master himself, Yen Sid chose to lay down his weapon and dedicate his life to teaching and guiding others. He served as King Mickey's mentor and continues to advise the King and his allies. When Sora, Donald, and Goofy set out on their newest adventure, it was Yen Sid who prepared them and provided the necessary wisdom to face the darkness.
Likes: Teaching young Keyblade wielders, studying magical lore, and preserving the balance between light and darkness.
Dislikes: Recklessness, misuse of magic, the spread of darkness, and unnecessary interruptions when he's deep in thought.
Fun Fact: While Master Yen Sid rarely jokes, he's been known to remind others—especially when they're not paying attention—that his name spelled backward is "Disney." Whether it's a magical coincidence or just a playful quirk, Yen Sid always finds a way to keep even the most serious situations a little mystical!
Pete
Voiced by: Jim Cummings
First Appearance: Steamboat Willie (1928)
Pete, self-proclaimed as "mighty," is a bumbling yet persistent lackey of the (recently defeated) Maleficent. Despite his clumsy ways and often misguided schemes, Pete has a knack for causing trouble wherever he goes. His main mission is to create an army of Heartless to serve Maleficent, though she was recently bested by Silver, Knuckles, and their allies. How Pete escaped his banishment to another dimension remains a mystery, but you can bet he's up to no good and still plotting to unleash chaos.
Likes: Bossing Heartless around, causing mayhem, bragging about his strength, and coming up with over-the-top evil plans (even if they always backfire).
Dislikes: Being banished to other dimensions, losing to meddling heroes, being scolded by Maleficent, and when his plans are foiled by the good guys.
Fun Fact: Pete insists that he's the brains of the operation, but the truth is, he's more of a bumbling buffoon than a mastermind. Rumor has it that he once tried to give a rousing speech to the Heartless, only to realize he was talking to a pile of shadows and his own echo. Some say he's still embarrassed about that incident!
Maleficent
Voiced by: Susanne Blakeslee
First Appearance: Sleeping Beauty (1959)
Maleficent, the dark and powerful sorceress, once led a crusade to plunge the worlds into darkness. She is infamous for kidnapping the Princesses of Heart, aiming to use their light to unlock Kingdom Hearts and wield ultimate power. Despite her terrifying magic and cunning, Maleficent was ultimately defeated by Silver, Knuckles, Rika, Tyris, and Blaze Fielding in an intense showdown. Yet, Pete thinks she is still around, though it seems like wishful thinking (or delusion) on his part. Still, I can't help but keep a watchful eye… just in case.
Likes: Manipulating others, wielding dark magic, commanding Heartless, and the thrill of conquest.
Dislikes: Being outwitted, failure, the power of true light, and anyone who dares oppose her.
Fun Fact (or rather, a chilling thought): I've heard that Maleficent has a knack for coming back from the brink of defeat, almost as if darkness itself refuses to let her vanish for good. Could it be that she still lurks in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike again? Well, I certainly hope not… but you never know.
Doctor Eggman
Voiced by: Mike Pollock
First Appearance: Sonic the Hedgehog (1991)
Doctor Eggman, also known as Dr. Ivo Robotnik, is a brilliant yet diabolical scientist whose rivalry with Sonic is the stuff of legends. His plans are as grandiose as his ego, and he'll stop at nothing to achieve world domination. From capturing animals and placing them in his badniks to building mechanical doppelgangers of Sonic, stealing the Master Emerald, attempting to control the water deity Chaos, threatening Mobius with the Eclipse Cannon, and even cracking the planet to awaken Dark Gaia—Eggman's schemes are as varied as they are destructive.
Recently, we thought he was trapped in the Realm of Darkness, but Sonic, Tails, and Captain Marvel claim they saw the Doctor alive and well at his latest creation: the Interstellar Amusement Park. It's advertised as "5 worlds for the price of one," but with Heartless security guards lurking around, it hardly sounds like fun! According to some intel from Rouge, Eggman may have been floating through space, but she's been cryptic about the details. Omega, for some reason, refuses to comment. What exactly is Eggman up to this time?
Likes: Building high-tech contraptions, hatching elaborate schemes, bossing his minions around, and proving his intellect.
Dislikes: Being outsmarted by Sonic, the sight of his robots being destroyed, natural beauty (which he loves to industrialise), and anyone who calls him "bald."
Fun Fact: Despite his villainous persona, Doctor Eggman has a surprising fondness for Chao, the small, adorable creatures inhabiting Sonic's world. According to Rouge, The Doctor admitted to having a soft spot for them, even though he tries to keep this affection under wraps to maintain his evil image.
Rouge the Bat
Voiced by: Karen Strassman
First Appearance: Sonic Adventure 2 (2001)
Rouge the Bat is a skilled treasure hunter and top-tier spy, often operating under the Guardian Units of Nations (G.U.N.). Her expertise in espionage and combat makes her an invaluable asset in intelligence-gathering missions. Currently, she and her partner, E-123 Omega, are stationed in Hollow Bastion, investigating the influx of Nobodies and Heartless threatening the world.
Likes: Collecting rare jewels, engaging in high-stakes missions, and maintaining her independence.
Dislikes: Being outsmarted, losing valuable treasures, and unnecessary conflicts that hinder her objectives.
Fun Fact: Despite her tough exterior, Rouge has a soft spot for her friends and allies. According to Sonic, she admitted to having a crush on Knuckles the Echidna, though she would never openly confess it.
E-123 Omega
Voiced by: Roger Craig Smith
First Appearance: Sonic Heroes (2003)
E-123 Omega is the last and most powerful of Dr. Eggman's E-Series robots, designed with advanced combat capabilities and an arsenal of heavy weaponry. After being abandoned by Eggman, Omega developed a vendetta against his creator, seeking revenge by destroying Eggman's creations and foiling his plans. Now allied with Shadow the Hedgehog and Rouge the Bat as part of Team Dark, Omega has proven to be a formidable ally. Currently, he is stationed in Hollow Bastion alongside Rouge, tasked with gathering intel on the Nobodies and Heartless that have overrun the area.
Likes: Engaging in combat, obliterating Eggman's robots, executing strategic missions, and proving his superiority over lesser machines.
Dislikes: Dr. Eggman, any form of malfunction, being left idle for too long, and missions that lack action.
Fun Fact: Despite his mechanical nature and combat-oriented personality, Omega has developed a surprisingly dry sense of humor. The robot declared his "favorite pastime" was counting how many Eggman robots he could obliterate in one day, a statement made with a hint of what might be considered robotic glee.
Shadow the Hedgehog
Voiced by: Kirk Thornton
First Appearance: Sonic Adventure 2 (2001)
Shadow the Hedgehog, often referred to as the Ultimate Lifeform, was created over 50 years ago by Professor Gerald Robotnik aboard the Space Colony ARK. His creation was part of Project Shadow, an initiative aimed at curing incurable diseases and achieving immortality. During his time on the ARK, Shadow formed a deep bond with Maria Robotnik, the professor's granddaughter. Tragically, Maria was killed during a military raid on the ARK, a loss that profoundly impacted Shadow's outlook on humanity. Initially seeking vengeance upon awakening from stasis, he ultimately chose to honor Maria's final wish to protect humanity.
Shadow's origins are also linked to Black Doom, the leader of the Black Arms alien race, who provided his own blood for Shadow's creation, intending to use him to conquer Mobius. However, Shadow defied Black Doom, choosing to protect humanity instead. Throughout his journey, Shadow has played a crucial role in saving Mobius on multiple occasions, utilizing abilities such as Chaos Control—a technique that allows him to manipulate time and space.
The last sighting of Shadow was in his Super form, using Chaos Control to send the Door to Darkness away, preventing the darkness from invading the many worlds. Currently, he has partnered with Aqua, and together they are pursuing Pete off-world, aiming to thwart his latest schemes.
Likes: Solitude, training to enhance his abilities, memories of Maria, and fulfilling promises made to those he cares about.
Dislikes: Deception, betrayal, unnecessary conflict, and those who threaten the safety of the world.
Fun Fact: Despite his stoic demeanor, Shadow has a unique approach to coffee—he prefers to eat coffee beans whole, stating that brewing them turns coffee into "coffee-flavored water."
Aqua
Voiced by: Willa Holland
First Appearance: Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (2010)
Well, Aqua is a bit of a mystery to me! From what I've gathered, she's a Keyblade Master who hails from a place called The Land of Departure—wherever that is or was. According to Sonic, Aqua was encountered in the Realm of Darkness during our last adventure, struggling with severe memory issues. He mentioned something peculiar: Aqua had "split" into two beings, with her darker half called Oscura. That's all Sonic managed to grasp before losing sight of her. Rouge and Omega, who seem to know a thing or two, claim Aqua and Shadow have a strong connection and often work together, though the details remain hazy. I sure hope I get to meet her soon to clear up some of these puzzles!
Likes: According to Rouge and Omega, Aqua finds solace in serene places, values the bonds of friendship deeply, and has a soft spot for beautiful night skies.
Dislikes: From what I hear, she despises the corruption of light by darkness, feels burdened by her past mistakes, and is wary of those who manipulate others.
Fun Fact: It's a little sketchy, but Rouge once mentioned that Aqua has a habit of staring at the stars as if they hold the answers she's looking for. Omega then chimed in, claiming she's been known to teach Shadow a few meditative techniques to calm his rage. Imagine that—Shadow meditating! Now, that's something I'd pay to see.
Leon

First Appearance: Final Fantasy VIII (1999)
A skilled fighter and natural leader, Leon is the cornerstone of the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee. After losing his home to the Heartless, he dedicated himself to defending others from the darkness, even adopting the name "Leon" to put the past behind him. Despite his tough exterior, Leon cares deeply about his friends and the worlds he protects. Together with Sora, Donald, Goofy, Sonic, and their other friends, he's fighting to rebuild Hollow Bastion and ensure its people can finally live in peace.
Likes: Strategy, training, reading, and protecting his friends.
Dislikes: The Heartless, losing people he cares about, and opening up about his past.
Fun Fact: Leon's gunblade, the Lion Heart, is one of a kind, combining elements of a sword and gun in a style that only a warrior like Leon could master.

Likes: Flowers, helping others, and bringing peace to the worlds.
Dislikes: The darkness, cruelty, and seeing others suffer.

Cid Highwind
Voiced by: Chris Edgerly
First Appearance: Final Fantasy VII (1997)
A gruff but brilliant engineer, Cid is the mastermind behind much of the technology keeping Hollow Bastion safe. With a love for machines and a short temper to match, he might seem rough around the edges, but his loyalty and courage are unmatched. From airships to defensive systems, Cid keeps the Restoration Committee's equipment in top shape, ensuring they're always ready for battle.
Likes: Engineering, fixing things, and a strong cup of tea.
Dislikes: The Heartless, wasted potential, and being told to slow down.
Fun Fact: Cid's fascination with airships started when he was young, and he's always dreamed of finding a way to soar to new worlds. His knowledge of technology rivals even that of some of the greatest inventors in Mobius and Hollow Bastion.
Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel)
Voiced by: Grey DeLisle
First Appearance: Marvel Super-Heroes #13 (1968) as Carol Danvers; Ms. Marvel #1 (1977) as Ms. Marvel
Carol Danvers, known as Captain Marvel, is a formidable superheroine. Originally a decorated officer in the United States Air Force, Carol's life took a dramatic turn when she was caught in the explosion of an alien device, the Psyche-Magnitron. This incident imbued her with superhuman abilities, including flight, super strength, and energy projection. Initially adopting the moniker Ms. Marvel, she later took on the mantle of Captain Marvel to honor her fallen mentor, Mar-Vell.
In a recent adventure, Carol crossed paths with Sonic and Tails at Dr. Eggman's Interstellar Amusement Park. The trio teamed up to rescue the Wisps and thwart Eggman's nefarious plans. Following this, Carol provided Sonic and Tails with transportation from Mobius to Hollow Bastion, with Sonic mentioning that "she owed us a favor." During their time in Hollow Bastion, Carol assisted in defending the Bailey from Dusks and Heartless before departing to ensure the safety of her home world.
Likes: Her cat (or rather, Flerken) named Chewie, flying at supersonic speeds, pushing her limits, and advocating for justice across the universe.
Dislikes: Oppression, injustice, being underestimated due to her past or gender, and some of Sonic's puns (she's still not sure if he's trying to be funny or just annoying).
Fun Fact: Carol is exceptionally proud of her time as an officer in the Air Force. One unique accomplishment she boasts about is being one of the few heroes who has flown a jet while simultaneously fending off an alien attack—because multitasking is just another day for Captain Marvel!
Merlin
Voiced by: Jeff Bennett
First Appearance: The Sword in the Stone (1963)
Merlin is a legendary wizard known for his vast magical knowledge and quirky demeanor. He resides in Hollow Bastion, where he acts as an advisor and magical mentor to those in need. Merlin has a peculiar knack for appearing just when he's needed most, often bringing wisdom, enchantments, or even a touch of humor to lighten a tense situation. In his spare time, Merlin studies ancient texts and experiments with new spells, often with unpredictable results.
Likes: Studying magic, teaching eager learners, sipping tea, and reminiscing about his adventures in Camelot.
Dislikes: Disorganization, being disturbed while casting spells, and when things don't go according to his carefully planned enchantments.
Fun Fact: Merlin's house is enchanted to pack itself into a small bag whenever he travels. It's said that even Merlin sometimes forgets where he put the bag, leading to a magical scavenger hunt around Hollow Bastion! He claims that it's good exercise for his memory.
The Orange Wisp
First Appearance: Sonic Colors (2010)
The Orange Wisp is one of the many colorful and helpful creatures known as Wisps, originating from Planet Wisp. This particular Wisp grants Sonic the ability to transform into the "Orange Rocket," launching him high into the air with incredible speed and power. When using this form, Sonic can reach heights that are otherwise impossible, blasting through obstacles and discovering new paths.
The Orange Wisp communicates in a series of cheerful yet incomprehensible gibberish, which only Tails can understand—well, most of the time. Tails uses his Tails Translator to convert the Wisp's binary-like language into English, though the gadget has a habit of malfunctioning when it's needed most. Still, Tails, Sonic and Carol have formed a special bond with the Wisps, and they're always happy to lend their power when the world needs saving.
Likes: Soaring through the sky, helping Sonic, and the lush greenery of Planet Wisp.
Dislikes: Being confined or trapped, seeing nature destroyed, and Tails's gadget breaking down at the wrong moment.
Fun Fact: The Orange Wisp gets particularly excited whenever it sees wide-open spaces. Tails once translated that it loves "feeling the wind as it rockets up, up, and away!" Whether or not that's exactly what it said is up for debate, but it sounds right to me!
Jiminy Cricket
Voiced by: Joseph Gordon-Levitt
First Appearance: Pinocchio (1940)
Well, here I am, Jiminy Cricket, your trusty guide and journal keeper! I started my journey as the official conscience of Pinocchio, but I've found myself in quite a few adventures since then. I've been lucky enough to accompany some incredible heroes, including Sora, Sonic, Donald, and Goofy, as they travel through various worlds, battling darkness and protecting the light.
As a small, but determined cricket, I carry this journal to document our adventures and to remind my friends of the importance of making good choices. With every page, I strive to capture the essence of friendship, bravery, and the lessons learned along the way. My motto is: "A little conscience goes a long way!"
Likes: Writing in my journal, sharing stories with friends, exploring new worlds, and the thrill of a well-timed pun.
Dislikes: Darkness creeping into hearts, being ignored, losing my journal, and when folks forget to listen to their consciences!
Fun Fact: I've been known to act as a guide for lost souls, offering wisdom (or at least trying to!). And while I might be small, I have a big heart—so big that I once convinced a stubborn heartless to reconsider its life choices! Now that's a story worth writing down!
This was a fun write!
I thought it would be fun to write some pages from Jiminy's Journal. It helps to understand where we are in the story and some fun character files.
Roxas has not been added (sorry), but this is something that will be added later in other Journal entries. It's all the main characters from Sora's story, from when he woke up in Twilight Town.
Any facts you liked? Some are false and made up, whilst some are accurate and true. Others, are shout outs and trivia. Can you guess the ones which are the nods to pop culture?
A big thanks to Aragorn II Elessar for helping with this. Aragorn wrote the character files for the Final Fantasty charatcers!
Please enjoy and thanks for reading!
