Part 1:

Yuuki let out a loud yawn as he finally awoke from his slumber. He turned to look at the clock by his bed to see what time it was.

"Huh, only 10? I thought I'd sleep in later than that."

Sleeping in was a rare phenomena for Yuuki, as he was either going to school, or going to work. This time was different though, as he had off from work, and school. He also had the whole house to himself, as his parents were on a business trip.

Yuuki slowly got out of bed and headed downstairs to see what there was to eat. While the fridge wasn't empty, there wasn't exactly a whole lot in there.

"Huh, looks like I need to go shopping today." he said to himself. While not something he hadn't done before, Yuuki was hoping that he didn't have to go out today. Alas, if he wanted something to eat for dinner tonight, he needed to head out to the store and get something.

After getting some breakfast, fixing himself up and getting dressed, Yuuki headed out the door to the market.

"Big Broooo!"

Yuuki turned to find Rino running towards him. Though the two weren't blood related, Rino still treated Yuuki as a big bro, with Yuuki playing along. At least with Rino she was much sweeter and less scarier than Shizuru.

"What a coincidence meeting you hear big bro. What're you up to?"

"Just getting some food for dinner tonight." Yuuki stated.

"Is that so? Are you sure you'll be able to cook the meal though big bro?"

"...yes…" Yuuki said. He tried to sound convincing, but Rino saw right through him.

"That didn't sound very convincing, big bro."

"Alright, so I could maybe use some help getting something cooked up tonight."

"Alrighty then. Have no fear, your little sister is here to help! Come on!" Rino said, gesturing for Yuuki to follow her.

"Yes! This is all going according to plan. Being able to shop with my big bro." Rino thought to herself.

"I'm so glad mom informed me that you're mom and dad were gone on a business trip. Now I get to finally spend some time with you. Hehe~"

Part 2:

Rino and Yuuki entered the store, the cold air from inside hitting their faces and giving them some relief from the heat outside.

"No parents to tell you what to eat, it's tempting to let yourself go, but you need to eat responsibly big bro."

"I know Rino." Yuuki said, patting her on the head.

"Well then big bro, what's something good you'd like to eat."

"Anything's good."

"Oh…that's not a very helpful answer you know."

"I'm sorry…I just don't quite know what I want to eat tonight." Yuuki said, scratching the back of his head nervously.

"Well have no fear, I know your taste like the back of my hand. I haven't spent years being your little sis for nothing after all!" Rino said, picking up a basket.

"Now then, the food that you like, is it solid?"

Yuuki thought for a minute, putting his hand under his chin.

"Yeah…it's a bit of a solid dish."

"I see! Is this food in question an occasional dinnertime treat?"

"Yes."

"Alright! Now we're getting there. Final question, is it one of your favorites?"

"Yeah…it's up there as one of my favorites."

"Right then, I've got it. The answer is Curry right?"

To Yuuki's surprise, Rino was actually correct. He didn't exactly know why he was craving curry at the moment though, but he let Rino know that she was right.

"Yep, I knew it the whole time! I'm your sister after all!" Rino said proudly.

"I knew it would be curry, and if not that, potato stew." Rino thought to herself. "Like I told you Yuuki, I know your tastes like the back of my hand."

"Well then Yuuki, with that settled, let's go ahead and get some veggies."

As Rino and Yuuki were walking towards the vegetable section, Yuuki stopped at one point.

"Big bro? Why'd you stop?"

Yuuki pointed out the lady who was giving out free samples over at a table she set up.

"Free samples!" she said in a kind voice.

"Ooh, don't mind if we do!"

"They're mini hamburger stakes." Yuuki commented.

"I see, so this is what caught your eye huh?"

Rino went up and took a bite out of the mini hamburger steak.

"Mmm, this is pretty good. Why don't you try one oni-chan?"

"I'd love to, but my hands are kind of full…" Yuuki said. Indeed that was the case, as Yuuki was carrying the groceries that Rino and him had picked out.

"Here, let me help you out. Say "ah""

Yuuki opened his mouth, allowing the mini hamburger steak to go into his mouth.

"Pretty good right?"

Yuuki nodded in agreement.

"Aww, you two are so cute. If it wasn't for the fact that you're siblings I'd mistake you for a husband and wife." the women with the mini-hamburger steaks said. This comment caused Rinio to blush.

"Me? As Yuuki's wife? I mean…that would be nice but…wait, what am I saying? I'm his little sister!"

"You OK Rino?" Yuuki asked, noticing how red Rino's face was.

"Oh! Yeah, I'm fine. Say Oni-chan, do you think this would be a good curry topping?"

Yuuki nodded.

"Alright, well, we're well within budget, so let's go for it!"

The lady handed Yuuki and Rino two packs of the mini-hamburger steaks.

"Thank you." Rino and Yuuki said at the same time.

"You're welcome. You two be careful now, the sale is almost about to start."

"A sale? Well that's perfect! We still need onions and carrots."

Just as Yuuki and Rino started walking, an announcement came on the loudspeaker.

"We will now begin a special limited-time sale!" the male voice said. Suddenly, Rino and Yuuki were swept up by a crowd of people.

"W-what a crowd? I'm gonna get crushed!"

Luckily for Rino, Yuuki wasn't going to let that happen, and shielded her from the large crowd of people, keeping her very close-by to him.

"This is perfect, now we just need to make our escape somehow."

"At this point, I think it's faster if we keep going…" Yuuki said. "Plus if we keep going this way we can grab the sale items."

"A-all right then! "No adventures, no video games" like they say! That said, I wish there weren't so many people squeezing us from every side."

Part 3:

Yuuki and Rino were able to make it out of the grocery store with all the items needed to make curry that night.

"Thank you for protecting me from the crowd." Rino said.

"It was nothing. I just hope you didn't mind being that close to me."

"I didn't…I mean it was actually kind of nice…feeling your warmth and scent…" Rino said, trailing off. "Anyway, let's get home so I can cook you a nice hamburger steak curry!"
