Leaning against the wall out side of my father's old office I hear Tye talking through the open door.

"Mason, it's Tyler again. Look, your cell's voice mail is full. I need to talk to you. It's a full moon tomorrow and... I found your recording and I'm freaking out over here. So, just call me back, please."

Shit tomorrow is his first transition.

Waiting for a brief moment I then knock and make my presence known.

"Hey Tye, you okay?"

Watching Tye's response, I see him jump and slam his laptop shut, "What are you doing here Annie?"

"Nothing I just heard your voice and wanted to check in. This office usually brings out some bad memories."

Standing up Tye starts to pack up his laptop, "I am fine Annie just… go away it is none of your business."

I let out a deep sigh and watch him for a moment. "Okay. But if you need anything just know I am here for you."

Without waiting for a response, I turn and leave the office heading towards my room.

Why won't he tell me that he triggered his curse? I told him about being a witch. God everything is so messed up.

A few hours later Carol and I are chatting about an upcoming event when Tye makes his way downstairs and towards the door.

"Heading out?" asks Carol as he passes up in the living room.

Nodding Tye says "Yeah...lunch at the Grill, I've got practice and I'll probably go out after. I'll be late."

As he finishes a knock sound son the door. Tye goes to answer the door as Carol and I follow behind him.

"Sorry. Rude. You have no idea who I am. I'm Jules, a friend of Mason's from Florida. You must be Tyler."

"Yeah. Nice to meet you."

"So, I know it's weird for me to just stop by but I'm trying to track down Mason." Announces the woman, Jules.

Looking at the woman in confusion Carol steps into the conversation "Mason's back in Florida. He has been for a while now."

Shaking her head in disagreement the woman says "See...that's the thing...he's not."

After the startling revelation that Mason might be missing, Tye left the house to continue with his plans while I went upstairs and Carol continued to chat with Jules. Picking up my phone I debate who to call.

Bonnie? No, she is probably with Luka. Elena? Most likely pouting after Stefan. Caroline? My guess with Tye. Matt? Yes!

Using my phone, I call Matt only to be met by voicemail.

I guess not. Homework it is.

A few hours into the slow torture known as homework my phone rings. Elena.

"Hey Elena what's up?" I ask as I answer the phone.

"Elijah and I made a deal. He is going to get his witches to help and get Stefan out of the tomb."

"That is amazing Elena!"

"It is but I am worried abut Katherine and what she will do"

"That is fair Elena but we will always be here to help you."

"I know and thank you Annie" she responds

"Hey before you have to go and see Stefan, A woman named Jules came by looking for Mason apparently he is missing or something."

"Missing? Don't you know what happened Annie?" Elena says to me with confusion lacing her voice.

"Now it is my turn to be confused Elena. What are you talking about?"

"Annie. Mason is dead. He attacked Damon and Damon killed him"

"WHAT! I-I have to go."

"Wai-" Elena gets out before I hang up on her.

Masons dead. Damon killed him. My friend knew and didn't tell me. I am going to kill Damon Salvatore.

That night I get a text from Tyler asking me to meet him and Jules at the grill.

Now this could be interesting.

After making my way into the grill I spot Tye standing by the front door, seemingly waiting for me.

"Hey, Jules is over there let's go" he says as he nods in her direction.

Agreeing with him we head over to her booth and we both sit across from her.

"Thank you for coming." Say Jules as we sit down.

"So, what do you want from us?" Asks Tye once fully seated.

Nodding in agreement I turn to Jules as she responds "Just to be your friend. Mason would have wanted that. I know about Mason and you two."

Glancing towards Tye I see a lash of panic wash over his face, "You know what?" he asks.

Leaning slightly forwards Jules tells us "I know you're a werewolf, Annie is a witch with an inactivated wolf gene, and I know your little friend Caroline is a vampire."

"How do you know all that?" I quickly ask.

"I can smell it, can't you Tyler?" Tye looks around, clearly uncomfortable and Jules says "Oh my god. You're brand new. How many times have you turned?"

Rather than let Tye respond I let out a short laugh "Once, he has turned once."

Ignoring me Tye says "Do you know where Mason is?" siting back in her seat Jules shakes her head "He's dead, Tyler. He was murdered."

Shaking his head Tye disagrees.

"She is right Tye. Damon killed him."

"Him and his little blonde friend."

"No, Caroline would never do this."

"Maybe not but her and her little vampire friends were behind it."

"So Caroline is not the only vampire in town."

I let out a scoff and tell him "Tyler there are several vampires in town."

He shoots me a look and asks Jules "Who are you?"

"I'm your friend. There are others like us and they're on their way."

The next day I find myself thinking about the conversation with Jules and Tye.

Why didn't she believe me when I told her Caroline did not have anything to do with it. What is she going to have Tye do. And why did Tye still ignore the fact that I knew about him triggering his curse. I have a feeling things are about to get worse… If that is even possible at this point.

"HELP" a yell interrupts my thoughts.

Tyler.

Running downstairs, I hear a commotion in my father office. Rushing in I find Stefan pinning Tyler against the wall.

"Let him go Stefan" I announce. Shaking his head at me, I pull and focus on giving him an aneurism. Success! Stopping after a moment I hear Stefan's phone ringing.

"Who is it" I ask him.

"Caroline. Can I answer."

"Fine, put it on speaker."

As he puts his phone on speaker he asks, "Hey. Is everything okay?"

Rather than Caroline's voice coming through the phone it is Jules. "That depends. How badly do you want to keep her alive?"

"Who is this?"

"Ask your brother. Where's Tyler?"

"Jules? Where's Caroline?"

"You made a mistake, Stefan. I'm gonna give you a chance to fix it."

"Where is she?"

"Right here. Want proof?" Through the phone we hear a gun shoot and the sound of Caroline screaming.

"What's happening?" whispers Tye tome.

Shaking my head Stefan says into the phone "Hurt her again and you're dead."

"I hurt her again, and she's dead. Bring Tyler to me, the clearing by Wickery Falls. You have 20 minutes until she dies."

Well things got worse… again.

After convincing Stefan and Tyler to let me go, the three of us plus Damon make our way into the woods to save Caroline.

I will let him live to help us get Caroline but after that he is dead.

As we make our way towards the clearing, we all hide behind different trees.

"I know you're out there." Calls out Jules from the distance where she is standing alone.

Stefan and Tyler walk towards her as Stefan asks "Where's Caroline?"

"Locked up tight."

"Let her go, and I'll release Tyler. It doesn't have to get any messier than it already has. I'm not your enemy, Jules."

Tilting her head at Stefan, Jules responds, "It's a little late to be waving the white flag, don't you think?"

"You need to leave town. No one else has to get hurt."

"I'm not leaving without Tyler."

"Tyler is free to make his own decisions, as soon as you release Caroline."

From beside me I see Damon step out of trees and announces himself to Jules "My brother the peacemaker. Since Stefan got here before me, I'm gonna let him try it his way before I resort to my way, which is a little bloodier. So, give us Caroline."

"Let go of Tyler." Responds Jules with aggression slipping into her tone.

"Give us Caroline. Without a full moon it's not an even fight and you know it. We will take you."

"I'm not so sure about that, tough guy." Jules lets out a whistle and group of people walk out of the trees and surround the brothers. All hold various weapons.

Is that a flame thrower?

"Let's try this again. Give us Tyler." Announces Jules.

Looking towards Tyler, Damon says "You heard her. Go. Get over there."

Slowly, Tyler walks towards Jules, knowing she won't hurt him.

From the other group a man steps forward and yells "Which one of you killed Mason?"

Without a care in the world Damon responds "Uh, that'd be me."

"Boys, make sure that one suffers." The same man says. As they begin to fight, I watch Tyler go towards the RV behind Jules.

That's my cue.

Quickly and without being noticed I make my way towards the RV and climb inside.

"Tyler, please! Tyler?" I hear Caroline beg.

Stepping towards them I give Tye a light shove and say "What are you waiting for Tye?"

As I open the cage door holding Caroline. I am suddenly pushed aside and Jules has pulled Caroline out side and has her pinned to the side of the RV with a gun to her head. Just as I am about to give Jules an aneurism the wolves drop to their knees awhile groaning in pain. Looking around to see find the source of the magic I hear Tyler and Caroline ask what is happening.

From the slight distance I see Jonas, one of Elijah's witches or so I am told, casting a spell and walking towards us.

"Elijah made a promise to Elena. I'm here to see it's upheld. You need to go. Get out of here. Now." Stefan rushes towards me and grabs me while running away from the group.

After fleeing Stefan drops me off at Caroline's house. Stefan meets Caroline at her doorstep, Caroline lets me in but after a short conversation she asks Stefan to leave. As she closes the door I lean against the wall.

"You can pretend that you are okay with Stefan all you want but I know different. What do you need Care?" As I speak Caroline falls to her knees crying as she holds herself and rocks slightly.

Rushing towards her I wrap my arms around her and hug for what seems like forever, or at least util we notice the darts sticking out of her. Going into her bedroom we start pulling various darts from her when her phone rings.

"Its Matt, can you give me a minute?" Caroline asks me.

Giving her a nod I make my way to her kitchen to find a snack and make some tea. While I am waiting for the water to boil, I hear a knock on the door. As Caroline answers I can see Tyler on the other side.

Well, they might need a moment too.

I move so that I can not be seen from the kitchen and busy myself with a game on my phone. A

s I am playing a game, I hear Caroline start to yell "No, it's too late, because we're not friends anymore. And what happened to me tonight, that will never happen again. So, you take that back to your little werewolf pack, and you get the hell out of my house!" then a door slamming shut.

With a sigh I stand and make my way over to her "is something stronger than tea needed for tonight?" I ask her.

Laughing she rushes towards me and hugs me. "Thank you for being her Annie."

It is not her fault Annie. It is Damon's. Remember that.

Another knock on the door breaks us from our hug. Giving each other a look of confusion, Caroline answers the door to find Stefan.

"What's going on?" Asks Caroline.

"I was a bit worried about you, after everything you went through tonight."

"I'm fine. Annie is here."

"Good. But, just in case, I brought some back up."

From behind him out pop Bonnie and Elena with pillows and bags.

"We're gonna slumber it!" Announces Elena as the two make their way inside "

We haven't done it in ages." Says Bonnie. In that moment I see Caroline break. As she cries the three of us rush over and have a group hug.

It will all be okay.
