Yuuki made his way into a restaurant that he would go into to meet up with his friends and in-game team twinkle wish, but this time around he wasn't meeting up with them. No, Yuuki was trying to find some peace and quiet to do homework for school.

Home wasn't the best option at the moment as Miyako was throwing a fit over the lack of pudding in his home and Eriko and Shizuru have been finding their way into his home a little too much lately, in spite of the security measures that Yuuki had taken.

Having said all that, Yuuki wasn't thrilled to do this assignment either. 3 to 5 pages to summarize a book he had to read for science. He'd rather put up with the anitics of Miyako, Eriko, and Shizuru all at once at this point. Yuuki found himself a place to sit and began to read as best as he could.

It was at this moment that Yuuki felt as though someone was watching him. At first, Yuuki thought that it was Miyako either Eriko or Shizuru, but when he slowly lowered the book to look in front of him, he found a small girl with green hair staring back at him.

"Oh…I'm sorry. I was just interested in the book you were reading." she said, stumbling over her words a bit.

"I too am reading that book." she said in a quiet voice. "By any chance do you happen to like the author?"

"Not really. I mean I don't know, I'm just reading this book for a school project."

"A school project huh?"

"Yeah, and a not very fun one at that…"

"I understand. My apologies for interrupting you, bye bye for now."

As strange as the encounter was, Yuuki didn't want to be too harsh to the girl. It was clear that she was very shy, giving even more reason for Yuuki to find her very cute. Alas, the talk with the girl was over, and Yuuki had to stuff his face in the book once more in order to get everything he needed for the essay.

As Yuuki was reading however, he felt as though someone was watching him over his shoulder. To add to this, he would hear faint sounds of "ooos" and "ahs" as he continued to read the book in front of him. Eventually, Yuuki turned his head to face the girl once more, who was still looking at the pages in front of him with much more interest than he had ever shown the book.

"Um…hey, do you need something?" Yuuki asked, trying to sound as polite as possible, though he was getting creeped out by the girl standing behind him.

"Wah!" the girl said, jumping a bit as Yuuki brought his eyes to her.

"I'm terribly sorry, it's just that you weren't making much progress and it was bugging me. That book is a…bit difficult if you're not used to it. It might be hard to get into." the girl said.

"Yeah. I know it's for a school project but it is kind of hard to even start." Yuuki said, making small talk with the cute girl. "It just comes out of the gate throwing large words at you."

"Agreed. But, hey, I know a trick to make the book easier to digest if you don't mind me sharing it with you."

As cute as the girl before him was, Yuuki was a bit hesitant to take advice from her. Having said that however, he couldn't deny to himself that he was desperate to figure a way into understanding this book as soon as possible, so he could get the report out of the way and continue to help out his friends in twinkle wish.

"Alright, I'm all ears."

"Right, so the first trick is skipping chapter 1."

"Skipping chapter 1?" Yuuki said in a skeptical tone.

"Of course, it is the trickiest one of them all, however, he doesn't really say anything that important. It's like, what are you saying, gramps? I mean, don't get me wrong, he's a good guy, he loves to play with his grandkids and all that, but when it comes to being a scholar. He's the type of guy who likes the sound of his own voice."

"Um…if you don't mind me asking what's your name?" Yuuki asked out of curiosity, as the girl before him seemed to know a lot about the author in question.

"Oh, my name. My name is Yuni Shingyoiji, the grand daughter of Prof. Shingyoji."

Yuuki wasn't quite sure if he should be surprised at this point anymore. No matter what he did or where he went, he would always bump into interesting girls in both his real life and virtual one.

"My name is Yuuki Naoto." he said with a smile.

"Yuuki, nice to meet you. And you're a student at a high school right?"

Yuuki nodded.

"I see, so I'm older than you then."

Yuuki was a bit surprised by this as Yuni didn't seem older than him, but at the same time he was glad. The rumors of him hanging out with younger girls were making their way to his school after all…

"If you don't mind me continuing then, you skip the first chapter, then go onto number two. For the third and fourth chapters, well, you can probably skim those."

"I see…and that should help me with the essay?"

"Ah that's right, this is a school project. Well here, let me bookmark some key points in the book. Do you mind if I sit here?"

Yuuki allowed Yuni to take the seat right next to him. From there the girl started to bookmark the pages using yellow sticky notes she had in her pocket.

"There…that should do it!" she said proudly.

Yuuki took a look at the sticky notes that Yuni had placed in his book. Almost half the book was covered in sticky notes.

"Oh, my bad. I sticky noted half the pages huh? I'm sorry."

"It's ok. I appreciate you trying to help me out."

"In turn, I'm glad I could chat with you. You see, I'm a bit of a shut-in who doesn't have any friends or talk to people, and when I do talk to them, I usually talk their ear off. Especially if it's a favorite topic of mine. Today for example, on lunch break, this really cute girl began to talk to me, and I went on and on about this book. I think she was trying to talk to me about her little brother."

"I'm sorry again if I creeped you out. Offline and online I seem to have trouble making friends. Just the other day I screwed up in this game I play called Legends of Astrum. My friends said it was no big deal, but it's still hard for me to try and log in after that." Yuni said, her head facing down at the table in front of her.

"Say Yuni, do you know your user ID?"

"Um, yeah. I can tell you but…wait, does this mean in like layfolk's terms you want to befriend me?"

Yuuki nodded.

"Have a piece of paper and pen then?" she asked with a smile. It may not have seemed like much, but Yuuki made Yuni's day by befriending her on Legends of Astrum.
