It had been a few days since the encounter with the Guardians, which has also started to become a solo act group. And rescuing Peter and Sabine from the Hutts. Since then, there haven't been any prices on their heads, so it seems none either connected it to them or just didn't care enough to come for them.
Right now, Kanan and Ezra were currently under Jedi training whilst Peter and Sabine were also training. With the systems of the suit finally unlocked, they wanted to learn more about what the suit has to offer.
Peter was currently dodging an attack from Zeb, who offered to help fight Peter in the suit. He used his tazing setting to attack Peter, whose suit only absorbed the energy and changed a repulser. The blast was set to stun and forced the Lasat back but didn't knock him out. BD was watching the whole thing from a nearby rock and watched Peter fight back.
"That suit is a lot stronger than the other one," Sabine commented as Peter was capable of taking multiple shots, without being thrown around. "But...it does make you slower."
"Yeah, guess that's because it's so clunky." Peter guessed as he lifted his leg and looked over the layer of armor he was wearing. Then he removed his mask, which moved similarly to an Iron Man helmet that collapsed in on itself. "The other one was like clothing, so I'm faster and can move a lot quicker. But in this armor, it's more on the defensive than the attack."
"That would be correct, Peter," Karen confirmed to him. "Mr. Stark designed each suit for multiple scenarios. Both to make sure that it was capable of protecting the wearer."
"Would have been useful to have this against Thanos," Peter commented and looked over the arms. "But I guess Tony couldn't unlock it from deep space. You can switch me back, Karen."
Then they watched as the suit started to morph into itself and returned to its nanotech design so that he could move easily. He sighed and stretched his arms and retracted the suit the rest of the way so that it was placed into its container.
"It seriously gets spiffy in there," Peter commented as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Well, it's good that I don't ever have to worry about that," Loki said as he exited the Ghost with his clothes morphing into more traditional civilian clothes rather than the Asgardian leather it once was. "My powers allow me to disguise my clothes into anything I wish."
Sabine removed her helmet to talk with Loki face-to-face. "So, what exactly are you? Like...specifically."
"Well, on Midgard, Earth, I was hailed as a God. Appropriately." Loki wore that title with pride. "Loki Odinson, God of Mischief."
"Odinson?" Zeb questioned and put his gun away.
"He is literally Odin's son. King of Asgard." Peter quickly recapped it for them.
"How do you know so much?" Sabine was a little curious to know.
"I was a big fan of learning more about them when they first arrived on earth," Peter said with a shrug. "Of course, went down after the New York invasion."
Loki munched his face in a sorry manner. "Yes, I apologize for that."
"Anyway, I read all of Jane Foster's work on Asgardians," Peter admitted as he walked around. "Actually, I read most of her work altogether. Black holes. The Bifrost." He then looked out to Old Jho's Pit Stop where the others were taking a bit of a break. "If only we knew parallel realities...they were real. All this time, they were a concept we couldn't even possibly imagine."
"And now you get to experience it first hand." Sabine joked as she walked up and pat him on the shoulder.
Then when two TIE Fighters flew overhead, it spooked them as they were worried that they were coming for them. But to their surprise, they seemed to be ignoring the rebels and moving towards the Pit Stop to land.
"What are those Imperials doing out here?" Loki was curious to know as he walked up to the kids.
"Why don't we go find out?" Sabine asks as she knew Hera was already over there.
"BD, stay with the ship," Peter asked of his new friend and walked off.
BD was more than willing to stay behind rather than tangle with the Empire. He jumped off the rock he used as a perch and raced inside the Ghost.
By the time they made it to the Pit Stop, they saw Ezra and Kanan were already at the bar and Hera was in one of the boots. The others split so as not to make it look like they come in one large group. Thanks to the helmets and armor, Sabine and Peter blended in like civilians, and Loki had not yet tangled with the Empire so he was unrecognizable.
They then noticed that it seemed like they were looking for a Rodian, due to what they could see on their tablets. Or whatever they call those small computers that resemble tablets. And also because they went to harass the only Rodian in the Pit Stop.
But Ezra seemed to recognize the Rodian. "Tseebo?"
When they noticed nobody else was around, the head pilot marched over to the bar and seemed angered by something. "The Imperial HoloNew broadcast should play here at all times!"
"Nobody has requested it for...ever." Jho proclaimed.
"It's the law!" The TIE Pilot proclaimed.
Jho didn't have much to say anymore and ended up turning it on. There was no need to get involved in a quarrel with the Empire over something this small. "...because today is Empire Day, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the galaxy's salvation when our great Emperor Palpatine ended the Clone Wars and founded our glorious Empire."
This was the first time that the Outsider members of the group got their first look at the Emporer. He wasn't exactly what Peter or Loki expected him to look like. He actually gave off kind and calm grandfather looks. But even from here... Peter could feel something was completely off about him. Loki on the other hand easily knew that man was hiding something, knowing what a face like that can hide easily.
"On Lothal, Governor Pryce has commissioned a parade."
"You heard the man!" The TIE Pilot proclaimed and aimed his gun at the people. "Raise your cups to the Emperor!"
But that was when the screen glitched and the face of Galla Trayvis, the same one from the prison incident, became clear on the screens. "Citizens, this is Senator in Exile Gall Trayvis. I bring you more news that the Empire doesn't want you to hear. I urge you to boycott all Empire Day celebrations to protest the ongoing injustice..."
"Turn this off!" The TIE Pilot demanded Jho.
"Can't. It's the law." Jho snarked back at him.
Seemed the pilots already had enough and growled. "We're done here."
Everyone was standing on eggshells as they were waiting for the TIEs to take off. But as soon as they left the port, Jho was quick to turn off the Empire Day celebration news.
"TIE Pilots on search patrols?" Kanan was quick to question. "What's going on?"
"Imperials have locked down the ports and put Destroyers in orbit," Jho explained to them the situation. "It's a full planetary blockade."
"And they're after a Rodian," Kanan commented and looked at the Rodian they were harassing.
"I'm just happy they aren't after us for a change," Sabine replied.
"After what we have planned for the celebrations, they will be after us again tomorrow," Kanan said with pride.
"Well, you're gonna have to do it without me," Ezra said as he got up and seemed a bit upset.
"Where are you going?" Kanan was a little confused.
"I just need to be alone," Ezra explained and walked out of the bar.
Peter was going to see if he could talk to him when he felt something off. He was starting to feel light-headed and had to catch himself. "Whoa..."
"You okay?" Sabine asks him in worry.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Peter promised and grabbed his head. "Felt a little lightheaded for a second." He then shook it off as it was most likely nothing. "But we've got work to do. You contacted T'Challa and Shuri?"
"They are gonna meet us at the parade," Hera confirmed as he was in contact with them already.
Back across the galaxy in a faraway hidden world, Stephen Strange was staring into the eyes of the creature that made himself known to the man. They were eye to eye, which was a little difficult due to the fact Strange had to raise his neck. Then again, the creature had to bend down and lower to try and come face with Strange.
"Your arrival onto my world has upset a delicate balance within the universe, Stephen Strange." The creature who has made himself known as Bendu informed the Sorcerer.
"Well, I wasn't given much of a choice as to where I landed," Strange replied snarkily and looked around. "Is there any way I can get out of here? I need to locate the others that came with me."
"There are no ships. No transports of any kind on this world." Bendu informed the Sorcerer Supreme.
Strange sighed as he looked out into the distance. "Wait...Wanda. If I can get into contact with her, she could find a way to send help here."
"And do you know exactly where here is?" Bendu asks him.
Strange sighed as he realized that he had a point. "Well, you got me there. But I still need to at least make sure she's okay." But before he started to do that, he looked over to Bendu. "What exactly are you?"
"I am the one in the middle. The Bendu." Bendu proclaimed. "I can sense you carry conflict with you."
"Well, let's see, I might have inadvertently gotten half of the galaxy killed, and abandoned my duty as Sorcerer Supreme to protect the Time Stone in a one-over-a-million shot." Strange proclaimed in annoyance and anger. "I...I had to make Wanda kill the man she loves." He then dropped to his knees after he realized what he put everyone through. They gave their all for a battle they could never win because he gave up the Time Stone. "All because of me."
"Ah, so the conflict isn't with the safety of the others. It's the means of how they arrived here." Bendu was starting to see through Strange.
"I should have just destroyed that Stone and have been done with it," Strange muttered to himself in anger. "We might have lost Stark, but at least the universe had a chance of surviving. Vision might have stood a chance." He then closed his eyes and started to try and spiritually locate the others. "Wanda...I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry..."
Across the galaxy, Wanda felt Strange's sorrow and apologies. But she seemed to have swatted it away as she was walking down the hallway of the Republic Executive Building. She noticed she was getting stares from the other people walking down the halls.
She was walking until she reached the Chancellor's (Emperor) Office on the farthest side of the building. She walked into the office and looked as if the Emperor was looking out at the celebrations Coruscant was having for Empire Day.
"Fifteen years ago, I single-handedly ended the Clone Wars that was raging over the galaxy over three years," Palpatine informed Wanda who walked and stood by his side. "The ternary of the Jedi came to an end, and peace was restored."
Wanda didn't have much to say as she just wondered why she was summoned.
"I believe you grew up in a war zone yourself," Palpatine said as she stood and watched as he spun to face her. "As you are made aware, there are still those who wish to return the galaxy to times of war."
"And what do you think I can do about it?" Wanda wonders.
Palpatine then dimmed the lights and the windows of the room to not let the word leak. "We have discovered the old Jedi archives that spoke of the...Stones."
"Infinity Stones," Wanda replied. "Mind, Soul, Power, Reality, Space, and Time."
"There are, however...problications when we searched for the specifics." Palpatine pulled up holograms of what Wanda considered to be the stones. But instead of the stone-like physique of the originals, these look more like oval shapes. "They have gone through many names that have been spread through the galaxy."
Then the stones started to change color and gave Wanda a brief flashback to Thanos. They all looked like the same stone coloring that she once dealt with trying to fend off Thanos.
"And none of them could do as you said," Palpatine said as names started to come with the stones. "They go by a different set of names."
Wanda walked around and started to try and read the names of the Stones. "Chaos. War. Evolution. Death. Nightmare. Genesis."
"We are having problems working on where in the galaxy they have been located." Palpatine was starting to get to why she was there. "I request your help to retrieve these stones. With them, we can crush this rebellion and restore peace to the galaxy."
"And what will I have to gain for this?" Wanda questions.
"A path home," Palpatine said as he placed a hand on her and walked to the windows as they opened. "You and your friends will be given passage back to your reality with the help of these stones. Will you not?"
Wanda was starting to understand that he needed the stones to not only make the galaxy safer but to bring her home. It was a way that she and the others could all go home. Get back to the lives that they lost.
"What do you need from me?" Wanda wonders.
"I have a request for one of our dire projects that has an...energy problem. Project Stardust could also use your assistance in the building process." Palpatine tells her as he put a comforting arm around her. "But before we get into that. There is a legend of the Jedi that I think you'll find most interesting. Have you ever heard of the legend of the Scarlet Witch?"
Back on Lothal, the group was quick to work on their next hit against the Empire and we're going to blow up their new line of TIE Fighters coming out of the factories. Peter was on the lookout for the group to make sure things went smoothly, especially since the Inquisitor and Kallus were there.
T'Challa and Kanan were getting their part of the job done with planting the bombs, and Shuri and Sabine were helping with distractions by shooting fireworks into the air. Ezra also made a return appearance just in time to save Kanan from a scuffle with the Stormtroopers. By the time the bombs went off, the group was quick to get back and start to make their getaway. The Wakandan Royals went their separate ways to blend into the night and stay hidden in the crowd as nobody's gotten a too good look at their faces.
"Hey, where were you?" Sabine was curious to know where he went to.
"Why, did you miss me?" Ezra asks back.
"Yeah right." Zeb scoffed.
But as they were running, Peter was starting to fall back as he started to slow down. A few blocks away, Mara Jade was standing on top of the rooftops and was waiting for her prey to strike. She knew that Empire Day on Lothal would be the perfect day and during the parade was the perfect time to locate him. She knew Spider-Man wouldn't resist quite the easiest of targets to hit.
And she didn't have faith in the Inquisitor being able to stop him.
Watching the explosions from a distance, she closed her eyes and started to use the Force to guide her to Spider-Man. She knew that there would be a disturbance of the force around him, and that would be where to find him. Peter however felt a feeling deep within his spider senses and knew something was wrong. Something was trying to track him, and his senses worked similarly to the Force precognition.
"Peter?" Sabine was the first to notice he was falling behind.
Kanan was starting to become worried when he started to feel something wrong. "What is it?"
"I'm being hunted," Peter said in worry.
Mara Jade dropped from her roof and slid down the sleek building and started to run from rooftop to rooftop to track him. She was racing to make sure she didn't miss her window of opportunity to capture and bring him to the Emperor and as a chance to rub it in the Grand Inquisitor's face.
"We gotta separate." Peter was sorry to tell them and backed away. "I'll meet with you guys at the Ghost!"
"Wait!" The group tried to stop him, but Peter already made up his mind and leaped onto a building where he started to climb and run.
He wasn't going to allow whoever it was coming for him to come after his friends. He needed to get somewhere secure where there wasn't bound to be anyone around to be hurt or attacked.
"Spector-2 were en route to the rendezvous." Kanan contacted Hera as they just ran, hoping Peter could make it to the ship.
"Negative, Spector-1, the streets are blocked." Hera was sorry to say. "I cannot repeat, cannot reach rendezvous."
"I know a place we can hole up till things calm down." Ezra offered. "And we can send the location to Peter when he can." But he had to relay the bad news to Zeb. "But shoulders here might have a problem taking my route."
"Then we need another option." Kanan proclaimed. "I already lost one of my squad."
"Nah, it's fine," Zeb promised and took his comm. "Spector-2, can you make it to the market?"
"Affirmative," Hera confirmed.
"On my way," Zeb then started to climb the building and went his way.
"Get back to the Ghost, we'll signal a new rendezvous point when we get Peter," Kanan says as Ezra started to lead the way.
Mara Jade was still tracking Spider-Man and had just made her way to an old abandoned apartment building. She leaped through a boarded-up window and drew her lightsaber, ready for a fight with the Spider-Man. But when she realized there was nobody around, she was confused and ignited the saber to get a look around.
There wasn't much to look at since it was just a normal complex in the district, but there was nowhere for Spider-Man to hide. All her instincts were telling her that he was there, she just couldn't seem to notice where he was. She started to circle the apartment to see if there were any hidden rooms she didn't know about that he must have known about.
In reality, Peter was on the ceiling, watching this girl he figured was another Inquisitor (the red blade gave it away) search for him. But the suit was something new that looked more...personalized. She didn't really scream "Inquisitor" with the outfit she wore. It looked more like Jedi robes with alternate colors rather than the armored evil dark robes he saw the Grand Inquisitor wear. He had stealth mode activated on his suit, which basically reflected the area he was in similar to the Helicarrier. That would have been a useful skill for the fight against Thanos. But it doesn't work for a long time, otherwise, it would drain too much energy from the arc.
Peter then started to slowly and carefully try to crawl away from the girl. He didn't want to get into a confrontation with another Inquisitor, especially since he couldn't fight the one on that prison planet. And something told him that this girl was stronger than she made herself out to look. But he didn't realize how unstable the building was and ended up pulling a portion of the ceiling down.
Mara Jade turned to face the rubble falling and noticed a small portion of dust cloud surrounding Peter. Realizing she was being fooled, she used the Force and slammed the ceiling and sending Peter falling to the floor.
"Hey!" Peter cried as his suit cloaking needed to cool down and unveiled him. "That's just cheating."
"So..." Mara Jade got into a ready stance and eyed the Spider-Man. "You're the infamous Spider-Man who has been making a mockery of the Empire."
"Well, in my defense, it doesn't take a lot of work." Peter mocked with a shrug. "So, what do you want with me?"
"Oh, it's not me. It's my Emperor that wished to meet you." Mara Jade tells him. "Come willingly, and we might spare your life."
"Yeah, I've seen enough spy and even superhero movies to know better than trust evil people to keep their word," Peter commented and started to slowly back away. "So..."
Mara saw he was trying to get away and ran over to then swing her lightsaber and Peter immediately flipped to the side to dodge it. Mara had to admit she was a little impressed, but not enough to lower her guard, and just went to try and strike him again. But Peter was able to just dodge and flip to avoid the swings.
"Da-na-na-na-na, can't touch this!" Peter was mocking the girl as he then flipped and shot webbing at her face. "Wow, they just don't train assassins like they used to."
"Assassins?" Mara Jade asks in anger as she ripped the webbing off her face. She then used Force in anger and shoved Peter still on the wall. He tried to push his way off, but he just couldn't get free of her power. "I'm no assassin. I'm no Inquisitor either."
"Then what exactly are you?" Peter asks as he was able to at least move his hands to aim across the room. "Bargain bin Jedi?"
Then Peter began to feel a weight crushing down on his neck and choking him. He tried to reach his throat, but his hands could only reach to his chest.
"I am the apprentice to the Lord of the Sith." Mara Jade stated as she marched closer to Peter. "I am the Emperor's Hand. I am Mara Jade!"
"Mara Jade? Are you serious?" Peter couldn't believe that was her actual name. But he was also still being choked. "Well, Mara Jade. I'm Spider-Man. Shooter of Webs."
Then to demonstrate that, he used his crossed arms to shoot two webs and hit the walls, and yanked the webs back. The drywalls came falling and crumbed the ceiling around Mara Jade and causing her to use one hand on the ceiling, keeping one on Spider-Man. Seemed that only angered her as she strengthened her hold on his throat.
For good measure, Mara raised his fists and started to crush the gauntlets, causing Peter to cry in pain as his bones were feeling the weight. His shooters were then crushed and he was shocked as he see his shooters were damaged.
Peter was starting to get afraid for his life and went with the only thing he had left. "A...activate Red Mode!"
"Red Mode activating."
Red Mode was a code word that Peter and Karen worked out for the time when Peter wanted to use the stronger version of the suit. It wouldn't help him against the Force, but it would help what he's about to do. Setting his repulsers to fire, he blasted the floor and wall, sending a ton of rubble to fall and the ground below them, and the two ended up rolling out of the building and onto the street.
"Ow." Peter groaned as he climbed to his knees. "Karen. Status on shooters."
"Your web shooters were severely damaged," Karen reported as Peter saw how crushed the circuitry of them was. "Repairs are severe, and most of the energy is being focused on the armor."
Seems there were a few other downsides to the Red Mode with it draining the suit's energy faster. Which does make sense if it was designed to be made end battles quicker.
Peter then sensed that Mara Jade was coming back and heard her lightsaber light up and was quick to spin and grabbed her by the helm of the saber. She was going for a jump attack, so it left her vulnerable to Peter's quick reflexes. The two of them were left there, fighting between the helm of the saber and them trying to get rid of the other by pushing the other around.
"My Emperor said alive, but he never said in one peace," Mara commented, warning Peter about the lengths she is willing to go to end this confrontation.
But then Peter's senses went off to alert him something was coming. But it wasn't heading toward him, which confused Peter about what was coming. But then his unasked questions were answered when out of nowhere, a hammer came flying and knocked Mara Jade out cold. She didn't even have the time to process the eerie noise that was flying through the air before whatever it was came in hit her in the head and sent her falling. It wasn't going fast enough for it to kill her, but Peter wasn't focusing on her anymore rather than the projectile.
He recognized that hammer.
It was Mjølnir.
"No." Peter was amazed when he saw the weapon used only by the God of Thunder himself. "But..."
Then the Hammer started to make its way backward and Peter needed to move to dodge it. He was amazed when he watched Mjølnir fly through the air and return to the hand for wince threw it.
But instead of the God of Thunder he was expecting, he was met with an oddly familiar figure with a mask similar to Thor's, but...bigger. She started to walk toward Peter and spin her Hammer around and started to worry him. But then his senses alerted him of a dozen Stormtroopers that were coming around the corner. They started to run around and spotted the hero and tried to quickly react.
Except before most of them could have even gotten the time to raise their weapons in time, the Thor lookalike started to spin the hammer faster and tossed it in his direction. Peter quickly ducked just as the Hammer flew past his head, wondering what the plan was. Then he watched as the Hammer split off into dozens of pieces and even impaled straight through the armor of the Trooper like it was nothing. Then on the way back, they took out a dozen other troops before clearing everyone and coming back. The Thor then grabbed the handle and the pieces of Mjølnir started to come together like puzzle pieces.
"Uh...thanks." Peter wasn't quite sure how to react to this and watched the troops collapse. "Not to sound rude or anything, but who the hell are you? Because you certainly are not Thor. At least not the Thor I know."
Then the Mighty Thor retracted her mask to reveal her face to be Jane Foster to the boy. Peter was immediately shocked when he saw this since he was familiar with Jane. He was even more shocked since he was just talking about her a while ago.
"Dr. Foster?!" Peter was shocked to see her.
"Hey, Spider-Man." Jane greeted with a giant grin. "Great to meet you in person."
"But..." Peter was still completely lost to see Doctor Jane Foster was there and was somehow the Mighty Thor. "You're...how?"
But then there were a few other troopers that came and Peter was even more shocked to see someone else coming. A Trooper was flung down the street towards them and they were amazed to watch Lady Sif come through with her sword and impaled the nearby troop. Peter wasn't entirely sure how many more of these Asgardians he could take in the last few days.
"We need to move. Now" Lady Sif warns them and swung her sword around. "More troops are coming."
"We should get away and discuss this later," Jane said to Peter and smacked another incoming Troop. "Nice to meet you."
Peter was still lost when he watched Jane fly and attacked the troops with lighting. "Yeah...okay. She... but...I need to talk to Loki."
"About what?" A trooper asks, shocking Peter. "Whoops, sorry." He then turned off his mirage and revealed himself to be Loki. "Just me."
"You?" Sif called in shock, causing Loki to look in surprise.
"Sif?" Loki was shocked to see she was there. "You're alive!"
"You!" Sif cried in anger as she marched up to him.
"What did you do to her?" Peter was worried to ask.
"I...might have banished her from Asgard shortly before Ragnarok." Loki was sorry to admit it.
"You lying, thieving, pathetic son of a..." Sif growled as she approached him.
"Sif, Sif, wait, let me-" Loki tried to defend himself when she kicked him in the legs and brought him down. "Gah!" He then stayed down for a moment and Sif eyed Spider-Man. "Ugh, I didn't miss this."
"Uh, hi." Peter greeted Sif. "I'm Spider-Man."
Sif nodded in confirmation. "Lady Sif, warrior of Asgard."
Then Jane returned and landed aside them. "Okay, we got a small window, so we should get out of here."
"Peter, your friends have sent us a ping location," Karen reported.
Peter was surprised and knew that they could be safe there. "I might have somewhere."
Loki groaned out and Jane didn't even notice he was there. "Loki?"
"Oh, great, the ex." Loki groaned as he wheezed out.
"Wasn't he supposed to be dead?" Jane was a little confused about that part.
"Which time?" Sif asks sarcastically. "I am starting to lose count of the times he has died."
But they decided to catch up on the way as they knew there was an urgency to run and escape from the Empire before they came with backup. Then there was Mara Jade, who groaned as she started to wake up and wondered what had happened to her.
"What...flying hammer..." Mara then held her head in pain. "Everything hurts." She then stood up and looked around to see all of her fallen troops. She was shocked to see just how many of them had fallen to the hands of Spider-Man (it was the only logical conclusion she could make). "Oh, I'm gonna hear about it now."
Sneaking their way through the city, the Outsiders were trying their best to not draw attention to their path. None of them were familiar with the planet, but Karen already had a chart plotting a course for them to take. When Peter reached the location, he found it was an abandoned building of sorts.
"Hang back, let me introduce you guys to them," Peter explains and jumped downward. When he landed on the ground, the three of them aimed their weapons but calmed when they saw him. "Sorry for the scare, but I ran into another Force wielder."
"And you survived?" Sabine was a little impressed.
"Not alone," Peter confessed and looked above, gesturing for them to join him. "You can come on down." Then the Asgardian heroes, and Loki, made their way down, surprising the rebels to see his friends. "Guys, meet the gang. That's Kanan, Ezra, and Sabine. Guys, meet the Asgardians. Kinda." He then gestured to Sif. "That's Lady Sif, and that's...Doctor Jane Foster. She's a scientist from Earth. Now she's...Thor."
"Thor is my brother, the God of Thunder," Loki explains it best to them.
"She's your brother?" Sabine didn't seem to follow.
"No." Jane and Loki quickly added.
"It's...it's a strange story," Jane admitted.
"So, what is this place?" Peter asks and eyed the building.
Ezra was in front of the door and pulled out what looked to be a keycard of sorts and swiped it. Peter retracted his mask, surprising Jane and Sif at how young he was, yet didn't think much of it since the height and difference between him and the girl weren't much different. The doors then opened and Kanan was starting to put it together.
"This was where you were going. This is your home, where you grew up." Kanan put it together.
"I grew up on the streets," Ezra stated as he opened the door. "Alone."
They all then walked inside so they could stay off the streets. "Then why did we come here? Why now?"
"I had this feeling," Ezra said as he walked over and pushed a small table. When he looked down, he noticed the Rodian that the Imperials were looking for with a device around his head. "Tseebo. It's me, Ezra Bridger?"
The next thing they know, the Rodian made his way up the stairway and into the room and spooked the Asgardian members. They weren't expecting anyone and were worried about if he was imperial. But that was crushed as they watched him wander and smacked into the window.
"Isn't that the alien the bucket heads are looking for?" Jane asks Sif.
"Looks like it," Sif admitted.
"His name is Tseebo. A friend of my parents." Ezra explains as he took a seat. "But something's wrong."
"What's that thing on his head for?" Peter was curious about it, waving his hand in front of Tseebo and getting no reaction.
"Empire has been known to implant lower-level technicians with cybernetic circuits," Sabine explains and looked over the circuit. "Personality sacrificed for productivity."
"Yeesh, they couldn't get robots, so they turn people into robots?" Jane asks in disgust. "That's a sick use for science like that."
"Tseebo's productivity is 19% higher than the average Imperial data worker." Tseebo started to call off random facts in English.
"Tseebo went to work for the Imperial information office after the Empire took my parents away," Ezra explains to them, sounding angry with every word.
"Your parents?" Kanan was surprised to hear. "You never told us-"
"What's there to tell? They died when I was seven." Ezra said as Tseebo walked around.
"Seven." Then he went into some babble none of them could understand.
"Uh, what is he saying?" Jane wonders.
"He's debriefing Imperial fighter deployments on Lothal." Sabine was able to translate.
"That must be it. Tseebo has intel the Empire doesn't want getting out." Kanan was able to understand. "Sabine, Peter, think either of you can access it?"
"Maybe." Peter shrugged and walked over to Tseebo.
"Give us a few minutes," Sabine asks as she walked up to Peter to help.
Loki was however a little confused as he looked over at Jane. "Well, now that we have a moment, how did...this happen?" He gestured to Jane and the Hammer. "Last I saw of that Hammer, my sister Hela destroyed it."
"Well, it's a bit of a long story," Jane admitted as she placed the hammer down. "I was at the hospital when suddenly I started to turn into dust. Then I was rescued by this woman who said she was named Madame Web." Then she gestured to the hammer. "The next thing I know, the pieces of Mjølnir appear and start to bond. She said that I would know how it worked when I arrived. And...well, I just did."
"I happened to be near when she was brought to this world," Sif explains as she gestured to the hammer. "Since I watched Thor over the years, I gave her a few pointers she was never given."
"Whoa! We got something!" Peter interrupted their chat when they hacked Tseebo's head device.
"What is it?" Kanan asks when Sabine went to get Ezra from below.
"It's...everything," Peter admitted he wasn't quite sure what was left out. "Specs, TIE defenses, rotation transports, tactics, strategies."
"It seems they have a five-year plan for Lothal and other planets in the Outer Rim," Sabine said as she kept looking through the plans.
"No wonder his brain is shorting out," Ezra commented. "That much information would fry anyone."
"This information could be severely damaging to the Empire," Kanan said in amazement, seeing this as a huge win for them. "We need to smuggle him off Lothal."
"We would need to smuggle him out of this town first," Sif commented as she gestured outside. "All of their reinforcements would be on top of us within minutes."
"And one of the few reasons they haven't found him yet was because they were preoccupied with Empire Day," Peter added on. "We're gonna need quite the distraction to smuggle him to even our own ship."
"Well, if it's a distraction we need..." Jane held her hand out and summoned the Hammer to her. "Let's bring the thunder."
And with that, she was the first to leave the building, followed by Loki and Sif. Peter was a little confused with what she said and caught up with Sif. "Bring the thunder? Is that her catchphrase or something?"
"She's only been the new Thor for a moment." Sif defended as she drew her sword again. "Saving people she's got the hang of, but the catchphrases are unbearable."
"How many of those have there been?" Loki wonders.
"A lot." Sif sighed in exasperation.
A troop carrier was parked just in the downtown district and was on the lookout for both the Rodian and the Rebels. Mara Jade already filed a report on the new warriors after their appearance and attack that killed an entire squad in seconds. There were two Stormtroopers and a driver within the vehicle that was looking out for anyone to approach the vehicle.
But that was when one of the troopers started to circle around the shuttle when he came across the Rodian standing there. "Hey!"
But on the other side of the shuttle, the Trooper who was waiting was shocked when he noticed the Rodian walk around the shuttle. "Hey!"
"Hands up!" Both of the troops commanded the Rodian, and when it didn't comply, they opened fire and ended up shooting each other. Then the driver ran out to see what was happening, only to get knocked over the head by Jane and her hammer. He collapsed onto the ground and she whistled out to the others to join them.
Then they heard laughter and looked upward to the top of the transport where they saw Loki. "Oh, I love these Troops. They're so easy to mess with."
"Figured you'd prefer a more challenging trick," Peter commented as they all entered the transport.
"I take what I can." Loki shrugged and jumped down to enter.
Tseebo was a little harder as he was still rambling and Ezra pushing him towards the transport. "Come on."
They got into the shuttle and were all a little cramped, as the only free space was in the front and it wasn't exactly designed for so many. But despite they didn't have much elbow room, they pushed forward as Sabine took the driver controls and sped off.
"Well, it doesn't seem like we will have many other problems," Jane commented with a smile.
And that was when Peter felt his head buzzing, warning him someone was trying to find him. "Uh-oh."
"Uh-oh? Why uh-oh?" Kanan asks in worry.
"She found me," Peter said in fear and worry.
Mara Jade was quick to try and get back into locating the Spider-Man, and she was feeling the Force for the disturbance. That disturbance would be what Peter has known to call his Spider-Sense. It leaves a disturbance that if close enough, Mara Jade could use to track him, almost like an animal picking up on a scent. Once she loses it (or gets knocked out by a flying hammer) then she needs to pick up on his sense again before she can locate him.
"Found you." Mara Jade said with determination.
"And what does that mean?" Jane was a little confused.
"That redhead you saved me from earlier?" Peter tried to explain it to her. "She was somehow tracking me. I don't know how, I just know that I can sense when she finds out how."
"So, we got some Inquisitor on our backs now?" Ezra asked with an annoyed tone. "Great! This can't get any better!"
That was when they were making their way towards a checkpoint, which had another transport, a handful of Troopers, as well as two Walkers. But it seems they realized the transport shouldn't be moving towards them and opened fire.
"Well, this is gonna be fun," Loki said with a sigh.
"I have no plans on stopping," Sabine assured them.
"That's good to know!" Ezra said in worry.
And that's when Mara Jade made it across and landed on their roof. They wondered what it was, but were distracted when they were immediately fired upon. Then that only caused more concern when Sabine rammed them and even tripped Walker's leg.
"Well, that was easy." Jane had to admit she expected more resistance.
That was when Mara Jade activated her saber and was cutting into the ceiling. Peter smacked himself and exhaled in anger. "You just had to say something, didn't you?"
That was also when the door was blown open, and troops tried to enter. But before they could get too far in, Sif came charging and drew her sword, and embedded it into him. She then took her sword out and tossed him onto a Speeder.
"Okay, one problem down, one to go." Peter gestured to the ceiling with Mara Jade.
"Okay, what do you plan to do?" Jane wonders.
Peter was wondering the same thing if there was anything that he could do. Then he got an idea and looked to Loki. "Loki, my friend, I got something to ask something of you."
"And what's that?" Loki questions.
"How good are your illusions?" Peter was a little curious.
When Mara Jade managed to cut through the ceiling of the transport, Peter came leaping and shot out a web that embedded into her face. "Aw, did you miss me?" Mara snarled as she swung her saber to hit him while being rendered blind. Peter just ducked and was able to dodge it with ease. "Looks like you still did."
Mara then ripped the webbing off her face and she snarled, pointing her blade at him. "You are coming with me! And so are your new friends."
"Yeah, you couldn't even take me." Peter reminded her and crossed his arms. "What makes you think you can take them?"
"I am not known to quit," Mara stated as she started to circle the hole she made, as did Peter. "Especially when it comes to my Emperor."
"Well, tell your Emperor he needs a new groove." Peter tried to think of some clever comeback. "Wow, that was bad even for me."
That's when the Ghost started to come down and Zeb was waiting on the opened hanger door. He came down at the ledge and aimed his gun at Agent Kallus, who had another transport on their tale.
"Remember me?" Zeb asks as he started to open fire, trying to take the man down.
Peter sees he was distracted and went right back into his fight against Mara Jade. As they were fighting left from right, Jane saw that the path was clear for them to escape.
"Alright. Let's get out of here." Jane started to spin her hammer and grabbed onto Sabine first. "Hang on."
Jane then left and brought Sabine to the platform. "You guys better hurry. Multiple TIEs are coming in fast."
"TIE Fighters will begin mass production on Lothal in the next six weeks," Tseebo informed them.
"You're just full of fun facts." Ezra joked as he walked over to the doors.
Jane then flew and grabbed onto them and made her way back up. Sabine and Kanan made their way upward to the roof. Mara watched the trying to escape and every time she tried to intervene, Peter would jump in and attack her.
"Looks like we will meet again, Mara Jade," Peter said and pointed behind her.
Jade was a little confused about what he meant and looked behind her. And that's when she realized Spider-Man was flying from the transport and landed on the platform. He then looked at her and gave a mocking wave to show he wasn't ever really fighting her.
Looking back at the Spider-Man in front of her, she was only getting more confused. Until the Spider-Man in front of her disappeared and was revealed to be a Loki illusion. Loki ended up laughing as he appeared on the platform.
"Lady...you will always remember this as the day that you almost caught Spider-Man!" Peter finally mocked as he got himself and Loki inside. "I finally said it!"
BD chirped in confusion as Peter walked inside the ship.
"Yeah, well, it makes more sense if you've seen the movies," Peter admitted.
Mara cried in anger as she couldn't believe she fell for a mirage and lost his trace. She had the Spider-Man in her clutches and just missed him. She should have realized the mirage was a fake when he was shooting her with webs even after she broke his shooters. Then she watched several TIE Fighters along with the Inquisitor as he led them into the battle.
They were out of the planet's surface but were now in the middle of a space confrontation with three Star Destroyers.
