(A/N): Hey Guys! So, I'm currently in English, and yes, I know I'm like, three weeks behind in my work, but I literally can't do the assignment seeing as we would have to watch a movie on racism and then write an essay about it - a movie I haven't seen. So, instead, I'm writing. And yes, the teacher knows, and is okay with this.

Disclaimer: I own nothing you recognise.

Leo

Soon after Jerremyah left, Shari and my father set to work on training Jo and Danniel. They started off slowly, getting them to throw punches at them; Shari with Danniel, and Jo with my father. "Very nice, Jo," My father praised, but Shari was going for a slightly different approach.

"Danniel, if you're going to throw a punch, throw it like you have balls!" I watched on with a small smirk curving my lips as they gradually sped up; eventually, they reached the point where their speed and strength were exactly the same as the younger vampires, keeping them at their top for a minute or two before quickly overpowering them in a display of ability and experience. The two lay on the ground for a second, stunned, before Jo came up first, coughing dust.

"How did you handle this?" She asked me in a groan, and I shrugged, letting my father answering for me.

"Leo usually lasts longer. Son, care to show them?" Of course, being my father, he was not going to allow himself to be made the punching bag; he knew that I had learnt a lot, and was fairly capable of holding my own while giving him a few bruises, so he put Shari against me- not that he knew that I had been training with Greygorry during the school year.

"Long time no fight," Shari teased as she took her spot in the circle across from me, staring me down.

"Who knows, I might actually beat you this time." She scoffed, and my father gave us permission to start; we both immediately began to circle each other, half-crouched in a defensive stance.

Suddenly, Shari threw a punch that I ducked, grabbing her wrist with one hand and her upper arm with the other as I slid across the ground. I shot my leg out, hitting her squarely in the ribs as I kept ahold of her arm, holding it as the force caused her to spin, pushing it up behind her back and forcing her to her knees.

"Wow," I heard Danniel utter, but Shari chuckled.

"He hasn't won yet, dumpling; he may have beaten me in technique, but I win in strength." She tried to to pull out of the hold using her sheer strength but I managed, just about, to keep her arm secure, and her knees on the ground. "What?" She whispered, and I grinned.

"I may have developed a bit of strength over the school year, Shars." My father stared at me, his expression showing shock, but almost certainly only in a way that was noticeable to me- or maybe Shari. I released her and she quickly spun, clearly aiming to headbutt me, but I sprung into the air and out of her reach.

"Shari!" My father growled, clamping her shoulder in his hand as though to keep her in place.

"I'm sorry, Nicholai," She murmured, still staring up at me with narrowed eyes- not glaring, but not particularly happy, either.

"No hurting Leo just because he actually beat you for once."

I frowned. "To be fair, I have been training all year." Shari furrowed her eyebrows at me.

"That doesn't answer how much stronger you've gotten."

I winced, rubbing the back of my neck sheepishly. "Actually, it kind of does." My father raised an eyebrow at me. "I've been training with a vampire."

(A/N): So, what did you think?

This chapter has had edits made to it on 5/2/25 - formatting and reconfiguring of sentences. I didn't change much about this one, just phrasing.
