(A/N): Hey Guys! So, this was originally supposed to be part of the last chapter, but after I uploaded the first half, I was like... oh, I forget. And then I thought about it, and surprisingly, not out of laziness, decided that it was better on it's own. This is the one with one of my favourite bits in it, the one I mentioned earlier.

Disclaimer: I own nothing you recognise.

Lily

I followed the boys as they followed Leo, Elaine and Remus from a distance, hesitating as they entered the forbidden forest.

I put it off, pacing in front of the trees.

The forbidden forest freaked me out a little, ever since I had learned of the acromantulas that called it home.

Spiders and Lily don't mix, I repeat, Spiders and Lily don't mix.

Eventually, upon taking a deep breath, I sucked it up, charging into the fire, metaphorically at least.

This is for Leo. I forced myself to think, pushing further into the trees even though my entire being was screaming at me not to, and for me to turn back and run away as fast as I could.

When I eventually reached the group, I didn't feel the instant relaxation I expected to feel upon not being alone, the sensation of danger only intensifying as I entered the somewhat clearing.

The others looked to me, except for Leo, and the older man I was only just now noticing.

When my eyes fell on him, my fear flared, but I pushed it down, knowing it was irrational to fear this man. But who was he?

"Lily..." Elaine greeted, trailing off as her eyes drifted back to where Leo sat cross-legged across from the man.

"Evans." I quirked an eyebrow at the rather harsh, formal tone in James's voice.

"What's up your butt?" I inquired, and James scowled.

"Leo." Sirius burst out laughing, before sobering slightly as James glared at him.

"They had another row." Remus explained.

"And James is in a strop because Leo said he wasn't his friend anymore." Elaine finished for him.

"I'm not 'in a strop'! After all, who'd want to be friends with a selfish, low-life, va-" Remus and Elaine jumped up, but James had already been silenced as he was pinned to the trunk of the tree, two feet off the ground, by the mysterious new man.

"You forget that there are other, 'selfish low-lifes' here, Mr Potter." He growled, and I saw him give James's throat a little squeeze before Leo's hand came down on his shoulder.

"Greygorry..." He said warningly, and the man didn't move for a second before releasing James, letting him drop to the ground, gasping for air.

"Let's continue training, Leo."

(A/N): So, what did you think?

BAM! James gets strangled!

Also, did anyone notice?

'...charging into the fire, metaphorically at least.'

Ha!
