(A/N): Hey Guys! So, I'm in History at the moment, and I decided to write, because it's either this or write some essay about foreign countries and charity things... which I don't really understand because the teacher just talked shit for an hour and then left it to us last lesson. -_-

After I had managed to calm Elaine down, somewhat, I dropped her off to Remus and the others before returning to my dorm room.

Fishing for some parchment, I collected a quill and an ink pot and set them up on my bedside cupboard to write a letter.

Dad,

Something has come up, and I need a favour.

Elaine recently received a letter from her father, and I wanted to ask you whether you could keep an eye on her mother and brother for a while, until we know they're safe. He threatened to pay them a visit, and I'm concerned for their safety if he does.

I'll take care of Elaine, don't worry, just keep them safe.

And if you do, I'll promise to keep out of trouble.

As I reread the letter again, I frowned, and quickly scrunched up the piece of parchment.

Dear Shari,

Elaine's father has threatened to pay her, and her family, a visit.

If you could, can you watch over them, at least for a little while? It could mean the difference between life and death for them, and for her.

Please Shari.

And in return, I promise to TRY and keep out of trouble.

I blew on the ink a little bit to dry it before hurriedly rolling up the small piece of parchment and attaching it to the leg of Elaine's owl.

"Ellwood Estate." He blinked at me with sharp, coldly intelligent eyes and bobbed his head a little bit, and, as if knowing the importance of the letter, took wing and soon disappeared out the window.

"God speed, Lawrence."

(A/N): I know it's short, but there's more to come.
