(A/N): Hey Guys! So, this chapter is pretty short, but it comes with a plot twist, ooh la la! This is not the last of the prewritten chapters from today, but I'm gonna let this stew with you guys for a while and go to bed. I'll update in the morning, hopefully.

Also, Sirius's PoV!

Disclaimer: I own nothing you recognise!

Sirius

We arrived at Hogwarts sometime later, and sat down to a rather informal feast in the Great Hall, loud as it was with friends chatting with newly returned friends.

None of us had mentioned the fact that the cut on Leo's forehead showed no signs of healing, and I knew, by the look on Elaine and Remus's faces, that such a small injury (in comparison to the usual) should have healed by now if it were inflicted by anyone other than Cipicia 'I take evil to a new level' Joannis.

After the feast, I caught Leo outside the doors to the Great Hall and guided him away. He let me do it, but seemed vaguely annoyed by it in a way I didn't think was entirely warranted.

"So, what actually happened?" He looked surprised, but quickly hid it, the corner of his lips twisting in a way that didn't look particularly bad, but put me on edge nonetheless.

"What do you mean?" I rolled my eyes at him, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Leo, a cut like that should have healed by now, even I know that. Plus, you were almost late for the train." I cocked an eyebrow at him. "You usually get to station early, which means, the whole altercation with your mother lasted longer than you led on." Leo stared at me for a minute before sighing, and a smile bloomed on his face.

It wasn't a good smile. In fact, it was a very bad smile. The kind of smile that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up, and everything inside me scream at me to run. Leo had never made me feel like that before, not even when I had seen him fully vamped out, but I stood my ground. This was Leo after all, he would never actually hurt me-

"You know, sometimes you little miscreants are too smart for your own good." I barely had time to register it as he moved.

A sudden pain burst across my face as his fist struck it, and then disappeared as I promptly blacked out.

This chapter has had substantial edits made to it on 31/12/22 - To make it more obvious upon rereading that Leo is acting weird, and making Sirius feel 'irrationally' afraid of Leo.
