Tommy gasped as his senses returned to him. He looked around and knew something was off. He wasn't outside of The Youth Center where he and his fellow rangers had been fighting against Goldar, Zedd's putties, and then the surprise attack by Zedd's newest monster. Now he stood in a field of grass near a large tree on a hill overlooking a gently flowing river below.
"Hello there," he heard a voice with a familiar English-sounding accent. He turned and saw the translucent form of an old man. It took Tommy a second to recognize the withered face.
"Master, Obi-wan?" Tommy asked in shock. The Force Ghost of the elder Jedi smiled and gave a slight nod. "Am I dead?"
"No my young friend, The Force has not willed your death this day," the familiar voice of Jedi Master, Qui-Gon Jinn said just before his own Force Ghost appeared next to that of his former padawan.
"Master, Qui-Gon," Tommy said giving a slight bow.
"And two other Master's whose essence I have worked to help reconvene into a conscious form," Qui-Gon said before two more Force Ghosts appeared. the first was an African-American looking man. He was tall with a bald head and a stern expression on his face. The second was a thin elderly woman, her white hair done in a bun. The look on her face was just as stern, if not more so, than that of the man. "Tommy Oliver, may I introduce Jedi Master and Master of The Order, Mace Windu," Qui-Gon said before the man gave a nod.
"Master Windu, it's an honor," Tommy said bowing to the man, "Master Yoda told me a lot about you."
"Tommy," the man said in a surprisingly warm tone as he gave a slight bow of his own, a smile ever so slightly pulling at the corners of his mouth.
"And, Jedi Master and Chief Librarian and Archivist, Jocosta Nu."
"Master, Nu," Tommy said as he turned to the elderly woman and bowed.
"Greetings, young Jedi," Jocosta said returning Tommy's bow with one of her own.
"To what do I owe the honor of your visit?" Tommy asked.
"After much deliberation with Masters Qui-Gon, Yoda, and Kenobi, I have come to inform you that we agree to the reformation of The Jedi Order as proposed by yourself and Master Yoda during your training."
"Thank you, Masters," Tommy said giving a nod.
"I also came to formally pass the mantle of Master of The Order on to you, May The Force guide you as you establish and lead a new Jedi Order."
"Thank you, Master Windu."
"And I have two sets of coordinates for you," Jocosta said as she touched Tommy's forehead. When he did, two sets of coordinates were transferred, or maybe more accurately burned into his mind.
"Master Nu, may I ask what these coorinates are?"
"The first is to a long-hidden word called Verosis, in The Eastern Expance of The Outer Rim. Go to The Vale Sector and the Indris System. Verosis is the third planet. The planet it self is primitive, at least by the standards of our own galaxy, and consists of one large continent surrounded by a massive ocean. In the mountainous West of this continent, you will find an ancient castle that long ago was converted into an emergency temple with complete backups of every Holocron and Holobook in the archives."
"Wha...what?" Tommy asked dumbfounded.
"A contingency plan it was," Yoda's disembodied voice said as the ancient Jedi Master joined the conversation through meditation. "Created long ago during The High Republic. Known only to The Masters of The High Council of The Jedi Order and to the Chief Librarian and Archivist, it was."
"Wait, does Sidious know about this place, Vader could have..." Tommy began.
"Calm yourself, young Jedi," Jocosta said in a calm but assertive tone. "When the clones began to march on The Temple, I severed the link to the backup archive."
"Even so, Master Nu, before falling to The Dark Side, Anakin Skywalker sat on The High Council," Tommy said looking between the assembled Forst Ghosts.
"Skywalker, Vader sat on The Council, but he was not a master," Mace said firmly.
"So, it's likely that The Empire doesn't know this place exists," Tommy said rubbing his chin in thought.
"Yes," Obi-Wan agreed, It will be the perfect place for you to continue Leia's training," he added with a smile.
"Master Obi-Wan, continue to guide young Skywalker you will, until right the time is, for him to come to Dagobah."
Tommy couldn't help but smile before looking at Master Nu once more. "Master Nu, what about the second location?"
"It is on the opposite side of the galaxy. In the Western reaches of The Outer Rim go to Tha Anoat Sector. There you will find The Hoth System, Hoth itself is the fourth planet of the system. I would suggest dressing warmly. it is very cold there."
"Thank you, Masters," Tommy said as he bowed to the collective Force Ghosts again.
"Tommy, healed you The Force and Power have, join your friends in battle you must," Yoda said before Tommy began to wake.
In The Command Center, the ranger's parents watched on the viewing globe as Doom Bringer and The Thunder Megazord clashed. He could sense their worry and guessed that the fight was not going as well as he might have hoped. "Aya aye aye aye aye Zordon! If the battle keeps going like this, the rangers will surely be destroyed!" Alpha said.
"Calm down Alpha, our rangers are not out of this fight yet," the wise sage said. Tommy stood from the cot going unnoticed by everyone else.
"That's right, I'm ready to get back in the fight," Tommy said in a determined tone that caught the attention of everyone.
"Tommy! You're alright!" Alpha said excitedly. "You've been out for hours.
"And getting useful information, but, it's time I joined the others."
"Tommy no! You could still be hurt," Monica protested as she got closer to her son.
"I'm fine, Mom. The Force and The Power have seen to that," He said as a look of stoic determination came to his face. "It's Morphin' Time! Dragonzord!" In a bright green flash, Tommy transformed into the green ranger. Before saying anything else he teleported to the sight of the battle, landing on top of a nearby skyscraper.
"Guys look," Kat said pointing at the building as she caught sight of the green streak of light that faded away revealing the green ranger.
"Alright, Tommy!" Jason yelled.
"He's okay," Trini said the relief more than apparent in her voice.
"Now we can send this goon packing," Zack laughed.
"Affirmative," Billy said, exchanging a quick high-five with Zack.
"Dragonzord Thunderzord Power!" Tommy called out before raising The Dragon Dagger to his lips and playing the summoning tune. The Dragonzord rose from the ocean and roared before being struck by a green lightning bolt and transforming into its upgraded form. Tommy lept to the cockpit and took the controls. He hit the throttle and charged at Doom Bringer. The monster was surprised by the sudden appearance of the other Zord and was knocked off balance by a powerful punch from The Thunder Megazord. Tommy took advantage of this and let loose a torrent of fire from his Zord, that knocked the monster to the ground and badly burnt it. "I call on the power of Tor and The Thunder Ultrazord!"
The massive turtle-like Zord appeared in a flash of green light and the rangers quickly formed their new ultimate weapon. Tommy launched the Zord into the air and lined up on Doom Bringer for an attack run. "All weapons fire!" the rangers called out together as every weapon on The Thunderultrazord came to life, pulverizing Doom Bringer. The Monster howled in pain before exploding. Tommy Flew overhead and doused the flames.
A short time later, the rangers and their parents stood in The Command Center. Tommy had just finished telling them of his experience after being knocked out by Doom Bringer. He was met with awe-struck looks. "Man," Zack said shaking his head. Am I ever glad I'm not the one who turned out to be a Jedi, this is too strange for me," Zack said shaking his head. Both of his parents laughed in response and pat him on the back.
"Believe me man, it's a strange experience for me too," Tommy said with a slight laugh. "Listen, guys, I think we should go to the other dimension and follow up on this."
"I agree," Zordon said with a thoughtful look on his face. "Our friends in The Rebellion will need a new base of operations, and all of the information stored at the converted castle could prove invaluable should Darth Vader or his master mount an attack here."
"I must agree as well," Billy said with a nod.
"I'll contact Leia, and let her know we're coming," Tini said as she stepped away from the group. Before Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, and the droids had left they were all given communicators in case the rangers were ever needed in their dimension.
Leia sat in her quarters on Home One. She was irritated having just had yet another verbal sparing match with Han. The smuggler could get under her skin like few people ever could, still, there was something that drew her to the man. Even if she hated to admit it. The wrist device that Billy had given her beeped and she set the report she had been reading on the results of one of the strike groups latest raids.
"I read you," Leia said into the device after pressing a small button on the device.
"Hello Leia, it's Trini. We've had a development here, and we'll be visiting shortly," Trini's voice replied.
"Has The Empire attacked your world again?"
"Not directly no. But Tommy has been given two locations one could function as a base for The Rebels, the other could be key to rebuilding The Jedi.
"I see," Leia said thoughtfully.
"See you soon," Trini said before closing the channel.
"Alright guys let's get going," Tommy said with a look of determination.
"Tommy, please be careful," Monica said looking at her son with concern. She understood now that her son had been called to a higher purpose, but, she hated that it was such a dangerous calling. Looking around the room she could see the same look of concern on the face of every other parent. Even Zordon's face. Her mind flashed back to a conversation the old sage had with all of the parents shortly after they had all found out about their children. He empathized with their feelings over having their children fight first against Rita, and now against Zedd because to him, they were as good as his own children.
"We will," the rangers said together.
"Ready guys?" Tommy asked.
"Yeah, let's do it," Kat said with a smirk. She was excited to see more of the other dimension and of The Jedi Order.
"It's Morphin Time! Dragonzord!"
"Mastadon!"
"Pterodactyl!"
"Triceratops!"
"Sabertooth Tiger!"
"Tyranasorus!"
Once morphed, the rangers made their way outside and once again called on their Zords and formed The Thunder Ultrazord. Once they were free of Earth's gravitational pull, Billy activated the Zord's dimensional gate allowing it to pass into the other dimension. "Locater beacon activated," Zack said, "It should only take a few seconds to lock in on Home One."
"I've got it, the destination is set, calculating hyperspace route," Jason said.
"Prepare for hyperspace jump," Tommy said reaching for the T-bar that would activate the hyperdrive. He pulled it back the engines of the Zord whined as the stars began to streak, eventually giving way to a blue tunnel-like field.
"We've got a couple of hours until we reach the fleet, we might as well check this thing out," Kat suggested.
"Agreed," Tommy said as he and the others stood and left the cock pit. After taking an elevator down from the body of The Dragonzord to Tor they discovered the inside of the massive Carrier Zord contained a training area, kitchen and dining area, private living quarters for each of the rangers, access to a cargo hold, the engine room, and the life support systems.
Two hours later, the rangers dropped out of hyperspace with the Rebel Fleet ahead of them. Almost instantly a group of X-wings flew to meet them. "This is Commander Tommy Oliver requesting permission to dock with Home One. Transmitting authorization code now," Tommy said as he glanced over at Kat as she sent the code to Home One.
"Code authenticated," one of the X-wing pilots said. Tommy recognized the voice of the pilot as that of Wedge Antillies, one of the few pilots who had survived the attack on The Death Star. "Welcome back rangers, you may dock at docking clamp C.
"Thanks, Wedge, docking clamp C confirmed," Tommy said as the location of the clamp came up on the nav computer. Tommy followed the path displayed until he approached the docking clamp and skillfully docked The Ultrazord to Home One.
When they emerged from the cramped docking tunnel, they were greeted by Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, R2-D2, C-3PO, and Admiral Akbar. "Welcome back everyone," Admiral Akbar said in a welcoming tone. "Commander Oliver, I'm told you have information for us."
"I do," Tommy said with a nod, "Two sets of coordinates. One to a planet that could serve as a base for The Alliance, the other is a place of more personal interest to me."
"I see, how do you propose we handle this?"
"Admiral, I'd like to take Leia along with my team and investigate the second set of coordinates."
"Very well, Captain Solo, would you and Lieutenant Skywalker mind investigating the planet that could serve as a base for us?"
"Why not, the smuggler said with a shrug.
"Pack cold weather gear, from what I gather, Hoth is very cold."
"Alright, come on Chewie. Let's get The Falcon prepped. You coming kid?"
"Yeah," Luke said with a nod.
"Come on Leia, we're off to a planet called Verosis," Tommy said as he led the rangers and his apprentice back into the docking tunnel.
