Our first stop in our group outing was Florean Fortesque's ice cream parlour.
After ordering our ice cream, we sat on the steps outside the store, waiting for Leo to arrive.
"It's not like him to be late." Peter fretted, but Lily only shrugged.
"He's probably just busy with training and all that." Remus and I shared a look.
"Probably." A few minutes later, we spotted him approaching.
"Boy ho!" Sirius exclaimed, and Leo gave him a mocking bow before taking a seat on the step beside me.
"So?" He quirked an eyebrow shrugging.
"So, what?" I rolled my eyes at him, glaring.
"So, what's the thing you did over the summer that none of us will believe?" Leo remained straight-faced, and someone plopped down onto the steps behind him.
"Guess who no longer lives with their parents?" My eyebrows shot up, and I looked to Leo for confirmation.
"I went over there, grappled with my mother for a bit, then got her out of there." He furrowed his eyebrows. "Just before I went and saw you, actually." I frowned, watching him carefully.
"Did she say something? Is that why you were upset?" He shook his head, cringing a little.
"She was fine. No worse than normal, anyway." I bit my lip, not wanting to push it.
"So why were you upset?" James asked and Mia opened her mouth to respond but Leo cut her off with a look.
"It doesn't matter, it's nothing." I noticed the way Mia was watching Leo, the concern in her eyes.
She knew what it was.
And it was definitely worrying...
