(A/N): Hey Guys! So, I'm typing these up on an ipad, which means there'll be a bit between them uploading. More Eleo fluff, plus back to some somewhat serious stuff, yay!

Disclaimer: I own nothing you recognise.

Elaine

It was easy to tell something was wrong with Leo. We caught him not paying attention at times he really should have been, or randomly clenching his fists, and once or twice I had seen him accidentally rip the front cover off one of his spell books.

All in two short days.

It was driving us crazy, worrying about him, but by now, we knew better than to ask about it- obviously it was a sensitive subject, and I didn't particularly feel like being called 'selfish' again.

"So, you gave Vex to Mia, then?" He didn't bother looking up from trying to spellotape his cover back onto the book, simply choosing to nod.

"It's better for both of us, really. He hates me, and I hate being scratched, so it's win-win." My eyebrows furrowed, and I reached over, gripping his hand.

"Other than the violence towards you, I liked that cat... You have the same hair." I mused, running my free hand through his fluffed up locks. "Except his is black." Leo tilted his head back, meeting my eyes with his bright blue ones.

"Does this mean I have to get you a blonde poodle?" He asked quietly, and I couldn't help but snort in amusement.

"My hair is not that curly." He grinned, twirling a ringlet around his forefinger.

"You know, it kind of is." I rolled my eyes, and he leaned up, kissing me under the chin.

"Dork." I shot at him, unable to keep the smile off my face.

"Dweeb." He retorted, beaming back at me.

"You know you can just reparo that, right?" I asked softly, and he shrugged.

"This is kind of me trying to learn from my mistakes." He explained, gesturing to his tape bound book.

"And what would those mistakes be?" I inquired, and he was quiet for a second.

"I let bad people get the best of me."

Brooke

To say it was awkward for me to be around Leo's friends wouldn't exactly be true, but it was definitely at least a little awkward around Elaine, seeing as my boyfriend was in love with her.

Then again, I had known what I was getting into.

"So, Brooke, anything you want to tell us?" Sirius Black asked, him and the rest of Leo's friends surrounding me in one of the deserted corridors.

"Want to, but I can't." I told them with a shrug, and Lily rolled her eyes.

"Is this about that big secret of Leo's? Is that why he won't tell us?" I hesitated for a second.

"It has something to do with it, yeah." I agreed vaguely, and James scratched his chin thoughtfully.

"So it has something to do with..." He glanced at Lily. "Did someone try to kill him again?" I hesitated again.

"Someone's always trying to kill Leo." I murmured, fiddling with one of my belt loops.

"So, his uncle tried to kill him." Peter said, and we all turned to look at him.

"How'd you know that?" I asked, and he shrugged.

"He said it a while ago, remember? 'Kill on sight' and all that?" I winced at the thought.

"Yeah, he's being a bit... Literal, about that?" Elaine cocked an eyebrow.

"So, what, Leo's planning to kill his uncle?" She said it like she didn't believe it.

"That's exactly what he's planning to do." I registered the looks of shock they displayed. "And what with the war coming..." I shrugged weakly.

"He might have to kill more people."

(A/N): So, what did you think?

Please review and/or check out my other stories!

This chapter has had minor edits made to it on 31/12/22 - Changed labradoodle to poodle, because even though the term labradoodle has apparently existed since the 1950's, and they were used in the entertainment industry in the US in the 1960's, I figured they probably weren't super widespread to the point where Leo would casually mention them like that.
