We have a look back in the past, many years ago. We look into Hollow Bastion where Ansem the Wise has successfully created a new kind of life, a digital life. It was while he doing his research on the darkness in the hearts of people, and he managed to artificially create these creatures. The days has turned into weeks as he had already decided to name these new creatures "Digimon". It would be short for "Digital Monster", but they were not as monstrous as they appear to be. He continued to look into this new world and he noticed something he has not expected.
"Incredible. The Digimon has developed their own hearts. Their own unique personalities and their own will. I fear that the darkness will eventually spread into the Digital World, and they would also cause all sorts of chaos upon countless worlds. Their existence must be kept secret," Ansem the Wise said. Just then, Dilan has entered the computer room.
"Master Ansem," Dilan said.
"What is it, Dilan? Can't you see that I am busy?" Ansem the Wise asked.
"I apologize, sire, but Braig said that he has come across a stranger who is laying unconscious," Dilan said.
"A stranger, you say?" Ansem the Wise asked.
"Yes, sir. Braig has sent me to you because he wishes to lead you to him," Dilan said.
"Very well. Take me to him," Ansem the Wise said.
"As you wish," Dilan said.
Much time later, Ansem the Wise along with Braig and Dilan has found the young stranger, laying unconscious in the Central Square. It was Gaianort after the fight against Cascade and when she sacrificed herself to save Gaia from sinking into the realm of darkness.
"Right this way," Braig said. He leads Ansem the Wise to Gaianort and Cascade's armor. He picks him up.
"Young man, what ails you?" Ansem the Wise asked. Gaianort opens his eyes. "Can you speak? Tell me your name."
"Xeha...nort…" Gaianort weakly replied.
"Xehanort?" Ansem the Wise asked. Braig grinned. "Quickly, get him to the castle!"
"You can count on me," Briag complied. He picks Gaianort up. He turns to his fellow guard. "Dilan, get those for me." Dilan turned to the armor and the Keyblade. He walked up to the armor and Keyblade, and picked them up.
Not long after that, but Ansem the Wise has taken Xehanort in as an apprentice. During his stay with Ansem the Wise, Xehanort has gotten wind of the Digimon, and he began to peek into the Digital World, and he saw how much they were like human beings in some way, but he decided to have a touch in it.
And not too long, darkness began to spread throughout the Digital World, creating Digimon whom are pure evil.
Unfortunately, this has not escaped Ansem's notice.
"Xehanort! Explain this to me!" Ansem the Wise demanded.
"My apologies, Master Ansem, but I simply don't know what could have happened," Xehanort lied.
"Because of you, my Digital World is compromised. How can I undo the damage that is done to it?!" Ansem exclaimed. He sighed. "What I fear would happen has happened. What hope could there be?"
In the Digital World, several monstrous creatures wreck havoc on the Digital World as many Digimon were destroyed, and all hope was dwindling fast, but that is until several Digimon warriors appeared and quelled the chaos that has spread and peace the Digital World was restored...for now. Evil still existed.
Many years has passed as Ansem the Wise was banished to the realm of darkness as Xehanort has taken Ansem's name and research, so he and his fellow apprentices has created purely evil Digimon known as the Dark Masters and the Demon Lords.
Different Digimon warriors appeared and saved the Digital World from harm, but evil kept finding a way back and the Digimon were becoming limited from undergoing a process that is known as Digivolution. That is until a group of human children known as the DigiDestined were chosen. The Crests and Digivices were created to help the Digimon Digivolve.
The DigiDestined lived in a world that is inhabited by creatures known as Pokémon. There so many, counting them all would be the same as counting the grains of sand on a beach.
There were different DigiDestined teams that arrived to the Digital World on separate occasions, but they managed to meet their goals.
The DigiDestined bonded with the Digimon, becoming fast friends, but there was a time that they had to say goodbye to their friends, but they vowed that they would meet again.
But it may come sooner than anyone would think.
