Diamond shuffled around.

One of the bunk beds were destroyed today—it got destroyed from a couple of the kids fighting and fucking around—so a couple of them had to share their beds.

Specifically, Diamond and Marino had to share with Astral and Magma respectively.

That was until Otto could get to repairing the bed in the morning. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long for it to get fixed, or even a new one to be made.

Diamond didn't want to share her bed with anyone.

She was close to drifting to sleep until her eyes popped wide open. She looked down at the placement of Astral's hand.

Oh.

Oh hell no he didn't.

Diamond elbowed Astral in the face. She hit him hard enough he flew back and onto the floor. Blood came out of his nose and went down the side of his face.

He lightly snored, like he was asleep the whole time. His eyes weren't even open.

The sound of him hitting the floor was loud enough to wake some of the others up. The decuplets who woke up looked at Astral. Marino got up from the bed.

"Astral, are you okay?" he asked.

The door whooshed open. The lights turned on.

"What happened?!"

Diamond got up with her blanket and pillow in hand. She stomped over and passed their parents.

"That bloody pervert touched me. I'll be in my study if anybody needs me."

She stopped walking. She turned back.

"Don't need me."

Everyone looked at her confused as she stomped away.

They looked back at the kids, who were just as confused.

"I do not know what she's talking about." Marino answered. "Astral is sound asleep, even with her hitting him."

Marino lifted his face. The blood stained his left cheek the most out of everywhere on his face. Astral moaned in his sleep.

Gibson went over to Astral. He examined the injuries before he picked Astral up into his arms.

He looked at the other kids. "Go back to bed. We'll get everything figured out, don't worry."

They looked at each other, still worried, but they knew there wasn't much that could be done. All of them did what they were told.

Gibson walked up to the others.

"Antauri, go make sure Diamond is okay. Somebody here is going to need to clean up the blood, even if it's very little." Gibson looked at Astral. "I believe I have an idea about what's going on, but I'll need to watch over him."

Everyone nodded.

Antauri floated over to Diamond's study. Chiro and Nova cleaned up the blood. Otto and Sprx went to help Gibson with anything he'd need help with.

Once they got to medbay, Gibson got to work.

All throughout the night, Gibson noticed a few things.

Astral's scent fluctuated between being very strong and being normal, there was nothing that he did in his sleep in terms of actions, and any words that left his lips didn't match everything else. It sounded like he was dreaming of things he usually did, but his body reacted differently and moans left him.

He didn't seem to have woken up at any point either. Astral was deep into NREM sleep.

During this time, Gibson also looked back at everything the team knew about his sleeping habits. He knew it wasn't anything drug related because Astral didn't take anything to help him sleep, and there was nothing to be stressed about either as far as he was aware of.

No alcohol consumption either because he didn't drink any. The only time he did so was during the decuplets' birthday last year since that was when they were able to legally drink in private.

That was about it.

So Gibson decided to revisit everything about his sleep talking. It was part of his medical files that Gibson might need to change upon this new information. Not only that, but he looked something up again to refresh his memory and make sure it was actually correct.

It wasn't the first time he'd seen such a thing happen. Unfortunately, it wasn't the last time he would either, if this wasn't any indication of that.

He looked over to Sprx and Otto, who fell asleep in the middle of this. He would have to get them to bed so they didn't sleep like this.

Gibson got up and carried them to bed before he went back to medbay and kept a close eye on Astral.

Astral woke up in pain.

He groaned as he sat up, putting his hand on his head. He questioned why the fuck was his head throbbing, not to mention his nose feeling sore as hell too.

Then Astral realized he wasn't in the bedroom anymore. His eyes wandered around only to realize that he was in medbay. Gibson fell asleep at his desk as well.

He felt really confused as to what happened. Worried, even, that he didn't wake up from whatever happened to his head.

He slowly got up and walked over to Gibson. He gently shook him.

"Hey, pops?" He called out.

Gibson's eyes slowly opened. He yawned before he looked at Astral.

"Oh, good, you're awake." He stretched out. "We need to talk."

"What happened?" Astral asked.

His lips pursed together. "Do you remember anything from last night? Anything at all after bedtime?"

Astral shook his head, becoming more confused.

"No. I just laid down next to Diamond, fell asleep, and next thing I know, I woke up in here."

"I figured as much." Gibson crossed his arms, but he wasn't mad. "I have reason to believe you might have sexsomnia."

Astral's eyebrows furrowed together. His eyes slightly squinted at him.

"…Sex what?"

"Sexsomnia," Gibson repeated. "Essentially, doing sexual acts in your sleep like if you talked, walked, or ate in your sleep. Rare condition, but it exists."

At that point, Astral's stomach began to twist and turn. He started to feel sick at the thought. It was so bad that he wanted to vomit.

There was no way he could've reached that conclusion without something happening.

Just what the fuck did he do?

Gibson grabbed Astral's tail with his own.

"Don't worry, you haven't really hurt anyone. The last I've checked, though, Diamond's pissed off at you. You almost touched her in a very… not good manner, I'll say."

Astral looked down, ashamed and disgusted of himself. His fists clenched up. His gaze became unsteady. His lips pursed together.

How could he not have woken up from any of this?

Was Gibson simply trying to make sure he wasn't upset, or was it really the truth?

"Hey," Gibson interrupted his thoughts, "don't have that look on your face. None of us knew this was going to happen. You just need to sleep alone from now on, no more sleeping next to people in the same bed."

Astral looked at him. He simply nodded.

The door to medbay opened.

Diamond stood on the other side. She was looking away and her arms were crossed.

"Diamond, I'm- I'm really sorry!" Astral started. "Please, believe me when I say that I didn't mean to do anything of the sorts and- and I was completely asleep so I didn't have any control over my actions, and-"

Diamond held her hand up. She looked at him. She looked serious, but she wasn't… pissed off?

"I'm aware." she responded. "I shouldn't have elbowed you as hard as I did when it happened. I could've killed you feeling that pissed off."

She walked over to him and patted his back. She moved that hand to his shoulder. Diamond pulled him closer with a tight grip. Her face darkened with murderous intent.

"However, do that shit again with the knowledge you have now, and I'll do more than just elbow you in the face. Don't ever sleep next to me or anybody else again, Astral."

Gibson grabbed her arm and pulled her away.

"Diamond, what did we say about threats to your siblings?" Gibson scowled at her.

Her eyes rolled. "Don't threaten my siblings, no matter the reason for it, yeah yeah."

Gibson sighed. Astral simply gulped in silence.

He wasn't surprised she brushed it off like that. There wasn't a time that she didn't.

She looked at him again. "Still, it's in everybody's best interest if you don't."

Gibson held up a hand. "Diamond, love, I'm already telling him that he needs to sleep strictly alone. Don't worry."

She glanced at Gibson for a moment in acknowledgement.

When she returned her gaze to Astral, she grabbed his arm. She pulled him into a hug. She felt stiff, like the hug was forced, more so than it usually did. It felt awkward, but Astral hesitantly hugged back.

Gibson got up. "I'll let the others know, then I'm going back to sleep. Astral, we'll talk about making sure this doesn't happen again later." He yawned.

He left the medbay.

Diamond pulled back. She smiled at him, albeit it was unnatural and unsettling.

Astral knew she was getting better at smiling, but there were times like this where it felt kinda… creepy. It was unintentional, he knew that, but it didn't send chills down his spine any less.

"…Dia. I get what you're tryna do but you're, uh, creeping me out."

That smile dissipated. "Well, sor-ry for not being good at comforting people."

"Hey!" He threw up his hands. "I'm- I'm not saying I'm not grateful! I'm just glad that you don't even hate me right now!"

Diamond snorted and smirked. She playfully punched Astral's arm, who grabbed it and feigned pain.

"You know how I get. I might get pissed off at first, but sometimes it's just that." She put her hand on his face. "You get on my nerves at times, but I can't really stay mad at you."

Astral smiled and softly sighed through his nostrils. The tip of his tail wagged.

She patted his cheek.

"Now rest up. You can work on that shit later, your nose needs healing."

He chuckled. "Yeah, will do, Dia."

Diamond left the room. Astral left and went to get breakfast, since he knew it was about time to eat.

It felt kinda awkward though, at least for Astral it did. Nobody said anything, but it was on their minds.

It was silent at the kids table, though Kaminari didn't know what was going on. She was confused as to why nobody could sleep next to Astral anymore.

The adults, on the other hand, quietly spoke about Astral's sleep disorder. They wondered what they should do about it, what to keep in mind, and if they'd have to make a new room just for him. Anything they talked about, they caught Gibson up on later.

Gibson talked to Astral on what to work on later that day.
