Chapter 52 Re-Animator

At New York Mitsuki was working at the hospital and he was checking a board with Valentine following him since she's his assistant.

"It's been a long night." Valentine said.

"Yes, but that's to be expected." Mitsuki said.

The Administrator of the hospital goes up to them. "Ah Mitsuki, glad to catch up to you, I would like to meet a new member."

They saw a man wearing a doctor's coat looking around, he has black hair and glasses.

"This Herbert West our newest member, Herbert meet Dr. Mitsuki one of my fine members." The Administrator said.

Herbert goes up to Mitsuki. "So your the one that's the star around here."

"Well you can say that?" Mitsuki said.

Herbert looks at Valentine. "And she is?"

"I'm his assistant nurse." Valentine said. "I'm also enjoy seeing all the stiches." She smiles.

"Oh, then we can get along." He shakes her hand.

"Yes, hope you all can al get along." Administrator said. "Also I have to go and see Dr. Carl Hill."

Mitsuki saw Carl Hill pass by and said: "Speak of the devil."

"Ah, Mitsuki, still doing your little video games?" Carl said.

"Hey, it's a hobby." Mitsuki frowns.

"I also know your work." Herbert said. "Your theory on the location of the will in the brain is... interesting... though derivative of Dr. Gruber's research in the early '70s."

"So derivative, in fact, that in Europe it's considered plagiarized." Carl said.

"And your support of the 12-minute limit on the life of the brain stem after death..."

"Six to 12 minutes, Mr..." Carl asked.

"Herbert West." He said.

Mitsuki whispers to Herbert. "Don't bother talking to him."

"Well hope you can all work together." They're boss goes away.

Carl goes off too and Mitsuki said: "Nobody around likes Carl, he's always arrogant."

"Well his theory is outdated." Herbert said.

"Really?" Mitsuki looks at him. "Well it's nice meeting your Herbert."

"Well you too... It seems your quite popular here." Herbert said.

"I'm a good doctor." Mitsuki said as he goes off with Valentine with Herbert watching them.

Later

Mitsuki was at the house he and April have since they had to get a new place after April's old house was destroyed.

"So how was work?" April asked.

"It was good, I just met a new doctor." He said. "His name is-"

The door bell rang.

"Who could that be?" He goes to answer it.

He saw Herbert there. "Herbert?"

"Is this the one?" April asked.

"So is this your girlfriend?" Herbert said.

"Yes." Mitsuki nodded. "Also what are you doing here?"

Herbert shows a paper telling about a room for rent. "I came for the room."

"Oh I see." Mitsuki said.

"Well I think we can show you around." April said.

They went inside and showed him around including the basement.

"Yes, this will do nicely." He said checking the table.

"So what brings you here to move from another country?" April asked.

"There was nothing more that I could learn there." Herbert said.

"I see." April said.

"Also..." Herbert takes wad of cash for Mitsuki. "Your payment for my stay."

"Thanks." Mitsuki said.

"So is there anyone that lives here?" Herbert asked.

"Just two more one being Valentine." Mitsuki said.

"Oh good." Herbert said. "Also April o'Neil."

"Yes that's my name." She said.

"I heard you once worked for Baxter Stockman." He said.

"Yes." April said.

"I found his research interesting but he has flaws, but some fall for the greatness of others to expand." Herbert said. "I'll go unpack." He goes out.

"He's a strange man." April said.

"Well we did post that to get a bit more money." Mitsuki said.

Mitsuki goes to his room to rest and saw Herbert there checking it out. "Hey!"

"Excuse me, it seems your interested in games." Herbert said.

"Well yeah, I always have something else to do." Mitsuki said.

"We all do." Herbert goes out as Mitsuki goes inside and closes the door.

Next day

Mitsuki was working checking on the patients before he goes out to see Herbert comes out of a office.

"So your done?" Mitsuki asked.

"Yes but..." Herbert saw Carl look at them and frowns before going back to work. "I loath him."

"Many do, he hates me more because i'm one of the most known doctors, yet I play video games that makes him think i'm some kid." Mitsuki said.

"Maybe he should get a different hobby instead of his failed theories." Herbert said as he goes off.

Mitsuki goes to see Valentine and the said women was walking down before Carl sees her.

"Oh, hi." She frowns.

"Miss Valentine, I wonder why would someone of your skills be partnered up with a buffoon like Kira?" He said.

"We work well together." She said.

"But someone of your skills and knowledge would work better with someone more impressive." He touches her arm and she slaps it away.

"Good day to you!" She walks away.

Mitsuki found her. "What happened?"

"Let's go back home!" She said and they went out of the hospital.

Back home Mitsuki was watching TV before heard a scream at the basement and he runs down to see Herbert run as a cat was screaming and trying to kill him but Mitsuki picks up a bat hitting it and it falls down dead.

He saw that it was feral with sharp teeth and tire mark on it and Herbert said: "You got it."

"What happened?" Mitsuki looks back at him.

"What out?" Herbert said making Mitsuki look back but he laughs at him making him frown.

Herbert then shows the roadkill cat. "It seems it worked."

"What did you do?" Mitsuki said.

"I have managed to defeat the time of death, I was able to bring life to it." Herbert said.

"That's impossible." Mitsuki said.

"Okay, it's dead look." Herbert shows it. "Now..." He takes out a green liquid and injects the cat making it start to grunt. "It has a broken back so it won't move."

Mitsuki was amazed seeing a dead cat come back to life." "I can't believe it."

"What?!" April was behind them.

"Look April come with me." Mitsuki takes her with him. "Herbert just found a way to bring the dead back to life."

"Mitsuki this is crazy." She said.

"I know, but it's something amazing that we gotta keep secret." He said.

"Okay." She said.

Later

Herbert and Mitsuki go down a morgue and Mitsuki said: "Are you crazy?!"

"Look we need to test it out on a human body." He said.

"But we would get caught." Mitsuki said.

"Just trust me." Herbert said.

He goes to check the bodies and finds one. "This one has less tissue damage." He takes out his reagent and injects it on the back of the head with Mitsuki watching.

Then the guy stands up screaming reavling rags that he's wearing.

He starts to fight them making the two get attacked as they get thrown around.

Mitsuki takes out a chair and hits the guy over the head knocking him down and Herbert restrains the guy.

A security officer came in and said: "What happened?!"

"It seems this man wasn't dead. So we had to restrain him from his crazy episode." Herbert told him.

"I'll call the rest." The security goes to make a call as Mitsuki was still in shock to what just happened.

The guy was put in a straight jacket and Carl Hill was watching him through a window. "I wonder what brought this change to a person from the reports given to me. I'll have to make a little surgery to see."

At the house

Mitsuki was thinking and April was watching him. "Are you okay?"

"It happened, Herbert West brought the dead back to life. It was crazy!" He said.

"It's okay Mitsuki, we all have our times." She said.

Valentine came. "But I found the way he did it very interesting."

They saw a car of Carl come up to the entrance.

"Go up." He said.

They went up to the room and Mitsuki goes to the door as Carl comes in.

"What are you doing here Carl?" Mitsuki said.

"Just came to see Herbert West." He said.

He goes down the basement making Mitsuki worried.

Herbert was working hard and he saw Carl. "What are you doing here?"

"I know what you did." He smirks. "I found that you managed to bring the dead to life. So i'll be taking your research and use it for me."

Herbert frowns and hits him with a bat before a laser turns on making Carl scream seeing it.

Then Carl's head was seperated with a metal piece to cover the bottom part of the neck.

"Stockman's parts are veru helpful." He said. "And I never tried with parts." Herbert uses his juice on the body and the head.

Then the head wakes up looking at him. "Herbert West."

"Looks like it worked." Herbert smirks.

The body stands up and knocks him down.

Mitsuki was with the girls talking to them before they heard a noise. "Herbert!"

He goes to check on him and found him knocked out with the place ransacked.

"What happened here?!" Mitsuki said.

Herbert woke up. "That doctor stole my reagent."

"We gotta stop him!" Mitsuki said.

"I will make him pay!" Herbert said.

They went out and headed towards the hospital, and April goes to make a call. "I hope they can help."

The duo went to the morgue and saw the body and head as Carl laughs. "Your too late."

The bodies rise up as they come up only wearing the clothes they had in life before, the two take out any blunk items to hit them back.

Valentine came and saw them.

"Oh good Valentine, now you can be mine!" Carl said.

"I don't think so." She takes out scalpels and throws at the the zombies pinning them to the wall.

Many came before the turtles came down hitting many of the undead back.

"Hey zombies!" Mikey said.

"Not now Mikey!" Raph hits one away.

Carl growls seeing them while Herbert was impressed.

"Impressive, mutant turtles." He said.

Don hits many with his staff and Venus spin kicks the zombies away.

Mitsuki takes out his driver and Gashat. "Henshin!"

MIGHTY ACTION X!

GASHAT! GACHAN! LEVEL UP! MIGHTY JUMP! MIGHTY KICK! MIGHTY MIGHTY ACTION X!

He goes to Level 2 Ex-aid right away and hits many of the zombies as Carl got mad. "Childish!"

"For you!" Ex-Aid takes out his hammer and hits him away.

He hits against a wall making it crack as the ceiling starts to break.

"Let's get out of here." Don said.

The ceiling down as the zombie were being burried and Carl screams. "I will return!"

They went out and the place was locked away.

"Well that's a way to stop them." Herbert said.

"Well sorry for your Reagent." Ex-aid said.

"I can always make more, I wanted to stop him. But you are interesting Mitsuki and I am looking foward working with you." He smiles and walks away.

"He's a weirdo." Raph said.

"At least he's better than Carl." Ex-aid said.

They went out as the turtles managing to escape the hospital unseen and Mitsuki now has to deal with his new housemate for a long time.

Note: Ex-aid's Halloween chapter is Re-Animator, only I had to censor a lot of it to fit here, no blood as the decapitated head is more similar to what happened with Stockman with a metal plate on the bottom of the head.
