Chapter 16: Fun at the Waterfront
The next day, we all met up at the Waterfront for a day of fun with brunch at Eat n' Park followed by fun at Dave and Buster's. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. While jamming out to NSYNC and 98 Degrees, we composed a Childhood Chat in which Isabella Black discussed talking in silly accents in kindergarten in Hampton Township, Kaitlyn and Colleen Marioni discussed drinking lemonade in 2nd grade in the western suburbs, Natalie Bay discussed staying comfy in 10th grade in Ross Township, Abigail Mifflin discussed sporting her new nightgown in 10th grade in McCandless, Lauren Bennett discussed eating bagels for breakfast in 4th grade in the northern suburbs, Nicole Ellis discussed arranging her sleeping bag line her freshman year at Pitt in Westmoreland County, and Victoria Spurnick discussed pulling pranks her sophomore year at Carlow University in the southern suburbs. "Lemonade is one of my favorite drinks along with strawberry parfaits," Carly stated. "I especially love lemonade with strawberries in it!" "I remember when you tried to sell lemonade back in March of your 8th grade year, but it was too cold," Mr. Benson pointed out. "That must have been why Kaitlyn and Colleen never sold lemonade since Other Areas was on this date," Spencer stated. "Yay, one of my clarinet players, Lauren was involved in this Childhood Chat again," Alex happily stated. "It is always nice to see a band member participate," Max stated. "It's still too bad that none of my brass players Juliet, Billie, Roman, and Milo never get interviewed for Pittsburgh's Perfect Parties," Justin stated. "But again, Roman and Milo are guys, and I have a lot of guys in the brass section! Juliet and Billie are the only female brass students that I know really well." "Bagels are a pretty good thing to eat for breakfast as long as you stay away from butter and cream cheese," Alex stated. "And, always opt for whole wheat bagels!" "What did you think of the brunch buffet at Eat n' Park?" I asked. "It reminded me of the breakfast buffet at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida from our 11th grade year," Alex stated. "Did you guys have fun there last year?" I asked. "Back in the fall during Senior Night, a lot of the seniors have stated that the Disney World trip was their favorite memory." "I enjoyed going there last year, and I will enjoy going to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina this year in May," Alex happily stated. Then, while jamming out to Kate Bush and Lizzo, we composed another Childhood Chat in which Emily Grey discussed doing different activities in the spring and summer of 2011 at 2 and 3 years old in the city of Pittsburgh, Hannah Mifflin discussed doing different activities in the spring and summer of 2012 at 6 years old in the eastern suburbs, Emma Wallace discussed doing different activities in the spring and summer of 2014 at 13 years old in the western suburbs, Kayla Jennis discussed doing different activities in the spring and summer of 2016 at 14 years old in the southern suburbs, and Sophia Cleng discussed doing different activities in the spring and summer of 2018 at 11 years old in the northern suburbs. "Hannah got to play video games on her 7th birthday in 2012," I stated. "Isn't that cool, or what?" "Yes, definitely," Sarah agreed. "And, your video game is a trivia game! My video game is a dance game, Carly's video game is a karaoke game, and Alex's video game is a race-car game," I stated. "Is it just me, or are there a lot of birthday parties today?" I asked my female friend. "I loved celebrating my 15th birthday in 2004 best," Sarah stated. "Do people drink here?" "Sometimes, they do if they are over 21 years old," Henri stated. "I felt bad for Sarah when she dealt with her boyfriend, Benedict getting suspended for drinking too much alcohol," James stated. "You helped me when Sarah was going through a lot of problems and she did not feel like talking to anyone," I remembered. "Aren't we all glad that we at least got a glimpse of the spring and summer schedule, although nothing is set in stone just yet?" "Yes, it looks pretty good," Sarah agreed with me. "I am looking forward to the opening cooking activity in Bloomfield, going to the mall in Brighton Heights, the photo shoot at Robert Morris University in Moon Township, writing and acting out a play in Peters Township, and doing the pre-winter activities in Zelienople." "So, towards the very end of the summer, huh?" I asked. "Yep," Sarah agreed with me. Pretty soon, it was time for all of us to go home. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
