Chapter 3: The Strongest Enemy
For a moment there was quiet, no one said a word as all but one of those gathered stood there in stunned silence, shocked by the information that been revealed to them.

"…Kamen…Rider…" Saber said, finally finding her voice.

"Emiya…that was you back of the school, not a ghost or a Servant." Rin muttered. "That's why Lancer came all the way to your home, he was looking to finish you off."

Across from the small party Illya was also stunned. Before coming to Fuyuki she'd made a point to investigate her adopted brother, wanting to know every facet of his life. And in all of that research none of it had mentioned that this usurper had this ability.

Slowly her look of confusion shifted into a scowl. "I don't know what game you're playing, but I'm going to make you suffer." She declared, her voice full of venom. "Get him Berserker."

Hearing his Master's orders the behemoth of a man let out a fear inducing roar as his body tensed up before launching himself forward with a speed many would believe impossible for his class, his large weapon at the ready to cut down all who would stand between himself and his tiny Master.

Seeing this Ghost gripped the handle of the Gan Gun Saber as he readied himself. 'Ok, here we go…' Leaning forward he as charged towards Berserker, the two of them running towards one another.

Seeing the black and orange clad Rider charging towards him Berserker let out a low growl as he swung his large sword Ghost in turn dodged this by leaping into the air, swinging his own sword at Berserker's head only to be backhanded away by the dark skinned giant.

Flipping in midair Ghost managed to land on his feet and skidded backwards along the ground, looking up he was just in time to see Berserker appear before him ready to swing his weapon at him again. Beneath his helmet Shirou frowned at his raised his weapon in an attempt to block the behemoths larger sword.

The two blades met one another, Berserker bearing down on Ghost who could only curse at himself for his current predicament, even with the armors augmented strength he was nowhere near this beast's level.

'Damn, fighting this thing head on is getting me nowhere.' He cursed. 'But if I use that then maybe…'

A sudden cry filled the air, looking round both Ghost and Berserker saw Saber come charging towards them, the blond woman having discarded the yellow raincoat, her invisible sword at the ready as she unleashed her own blow on the giant of a Servant.

Seeing this new threat heading his way Berserker shifted his attention away from Ghost to Saber, raising his axe/sword he was able to block several of the slashes delivered to him by the blond swordswoman, even the ones that did manage to connect he simply shrugged off.

"S…Saber…" Ghost stammered, surprised by the blond woman's sudden appearance as she was currently holding back Berserker's weapon with her own.

"I take that this is what you wished to speak to me about when we got home." The sword wielding Servant said, her voice slightly strained.

"Uhh, yeah." Ghost replied. "It's a long story."

"I see. Whilst I admit I am curious, right now is hardly the time to discuss this." Saber said firmly. "Once Berserker is dealt with I will expect a full explanation."

"Right." Ghost replied, taking out a new Eyecon as he did so. Clicking the button he then loaded it into the Ghost Driver and pulled the handle.

KAIGAN: NEWTON (Cartoonish fall and clonk) RINGO GA RAKKA, HIKIYOSE MAKKA~!

The Pantheon Reflector vanished from Ghost's shoulders as a new one, the Discovery Hood emerged from the Ghost Driver and took its place, this having the appearance of a blue parka with silver shoulders. Two large orbs appearing on his hands and the new faceplate, the Face Fall Apple, with a blue arrow pointing down towards an apple below it.

Already feeling his newest power, Ghost stepped forward and thrust his right hand covered by the Repulsion Glove, towards Berserker. Seconds later, to everyone else's surprise, Berserker was sent flying into the air.

"S…Shirou…" Saber gasped. "H…how…?"

Ghost raised his left hand covered by the Attraction Glove, before pointing it towards the ground, moments later Berserker was sent slamming into the ground. Not relenting Ghost quickly sent Berserker flying again, having him hover in midair for several seconds before smashing him once more into the ground.

Off to the side Illya watched on as these events played out, a look of frustration and confusion on her face. "W…what's going on, how is this even possible?" She muttered. "My Berserker is the strongest, so how is that usurper able to toss him around like this?"

Saber meanwhile was in a similar state to Illya, moments ago Berserker had them on the defensive and now Shirou was able to toss him around like a ragdoll. Just what kind of power did her Master have that would allow him to do this to Berserker?

"Shirou, there are woods nearby." Saber ordered, quickly recovering her wits. "Send him there. A more enclosed space will make it harder for him to fully utilize that weapon of his and the trees will provide cover for us."

"Right." Ghost replied. Once more he used his Eyecon's power to launch Berserker into the air before using his Repulsion Glove to launch himself high into the air, once he was above Berserker he used the Attraction Glove to launch himself at the mountain of a man, slamming his foot into the muscular Servants face and forced him back down towards the location Saber had told him about.

From the ground the other gathered Masters and Servants watched as Ghost and Berserker fell from the sky towards an area located a short distance away. Quickly regaining her composure Saber gathered what Mana she had and leapt into the air, headed towards the woods that surrounded the nearby graveyard.

Meanwhile Illya had also begun moving towards the woods, she may not know what was going on but she was not going to appear weak in front of the usurper and his blond Servant. She was an Enizbern, one of the three families responsible for the Holy Grail ritual; she would not allow her Hercules to fall to some nobody fake Magus with some unexplained power.

From her position Rin had watched as the 'battle' between Ghost, Saber and Berserker played out. Emiya Shirou, the unofficial janitor of Homurahra Academy, a boy who seemingly could never say no to anyone, and before today someone she'd never even suspected him of having any kind of magical ability. It just went to show her just how little she actually knew about him.

"Let's go Archer. There's no way we're letting Emiya and Saber take all the credit for this." She told her Servant. "I realize that you're not happy about Emiya being the Ghost but you have to know that Berserker is the bigger threat right now."

"Very well." He replied. "However don't complain if he gets hit by one or two stray shots."

Kotomine Church wasn't the only place in Fuyuki that was the scene of activity that evening. Elsewhere in the city one of its residence, an unassuming man by the name of Humogaki Jiro, had left one of the cities many bars after a night of drinking his work friends and was currently staggering his way towards the cities residential area.

As he stumbled along a thought occurred to him and looking down at him watch and after several seconds his vision came into focus letting him know just how late he was, frowning a single thought permeated his alcohol hazed mind: his wife was going to kill him.

Looking around him he noticed an ally that cut into the next street over, with the recent string of murders having taken place recently any sound minded individual knew better to avoid places such as these. However such thoughts were far from Jiro's mind, all he could think about was the ear full he'd get from his wife at getting home at nearly 3:00 am.

Blissfully unaware that several pairs of eyes were on him as he entered the alleyway, glancing at one another the gang of three rough looking young men, one of them carrying a baseball bat and another of the holding a heavy looking chain, quickly followed after their prey.

His senses so dulled by the effects of the alcohol that Jiro didn't notice he was being followed until it was too late, two of the gang members approached him holding the chain between them that they then threw over him before wrapping around his arms, pinning them to his sides, and torso.

Their prey now secure the two thugs tossed him into a nearby wall whilst the third member, the one with the bat, approached.

"Well, what do we have here?" he said as her approached the bound man, lightly slapping the bat into the palm of one of his hands as he approached. "Hey Takashi Geki, this guy look a little lost to you."

"I think his is Dumon." One of the other thugs replied. "Y'know he's lucky, a lot of bad stuff has been going on in this town lately. Who knows what could have happened to him."

"No joke. Guy like this wouldn't last a second against the sick bastard who's goin around carvin up people." The third added. "Maybe we should be nice and make sure he gets home safe."

The thug with the bat chuckled menacingly. "Great idea." He replied as he stood over the bound man and poked him with the bat. "How about it sir, you want me and the boys to make sure you get home nice and safe?"

"Wh…what do you want?" Jiro stammered, suddenly feeling a lot more sober then he had 10 seconds ago.

"Hey hey, we're just bein charitable my friend. Course we're expectin a small fee for our trouble." The thug with the bat replied. "Come on, you look like the type of guy whose got a wife and maybe a couple of kids at home waitin for you. I sure they'd be super thrilled to know you got home all safe and shit."

"L…let me go…" Jiro whimpered. "I don't have any money, I…I spent it all at the bar…"

"Well ain't that sad." One of the thugs who'd wrapped the chain around him replied. "I'm sure we can find something of value on ya, I think you need some convincin first."

"I think you might be right Geki." Dumon replied as he raised the bat above his head before bringing it down on one Jiro's knees filing the air with a resounding crack followed by a cry out in agony.

Not relenting Dumon raised the bat again and delivered a second strike to the cowering Jiro, resulting in another cry of pain to fill the evening air. Just as the thug raised the bat when a strange noise was heard, moments later Dumin let out a cry at the sudden pain coming from his hand causing him to drop his bat. Grunting in pain he looked at the back of his hand and discovered a bleeding wound running across.

"D…Dumon, the ground…" hearing the voice of one of his fellow thugs Dumon turned his attention to the floor of the alleyway to find an arrow sticking out of it.

"Y'know, I'm all for taking money away from those who have more than enough and give it to those in need. However I must say I believe that you three fellows may have an unfair advantage here." A voice was heard.

Looking around the four men tried to find the source of the voice, after scanning the area they looked up and standing on the roofs of the one the buildings stood a cloaked figure, their features obscured by a green hood, a bow in one hand and a quiver of arrows hanging off one shoulder.

"Wha…who is that?" One of the thugs managed to say. "Is…is that the guy who's been going around killing people?"

"Me, perish the thought." The hooded figure replied as they removed two more arrows from their quiver and knocked them into the bow and pulled the string back. "I'm a champion of the people, not some deranged serial killer." They then fired both arrows at the men below, intentionally missing them, just.

"Dumon, this guy might be crazy." The thug identified as Takashi told his injured cohort, panic creeping into his voice as the hooded figure readied another arrow. "Let's get out of here man."

"Fine, we're outta here." Dumon replied as he cradled his bleeding hand, he then glared down at the man bound by the chain. "You lucked out on this one." With that said he and the two other made a quick retreat, heading back the way they came as quick as they could.

With his harassers now gone Jiro looked up at his hooded savior, just as scared as he's been when he was being beaten by Dumon and his two cohorts. "P…please, don't hurt me…" he pleaded.

"You have the wrong impression friend, I'm not here to harm you. Quite the opposite in fact." The hooded archer replied before firing their arrow, the projectile sliced through the air and struck the chains that bound Jiro with somehow enough force to break them.

"You're free to go, I suggest that you not keep your family waiting any longer." The archer told the shocked man. "Oh, if you're going to spend your evening drinking I suggest you try to be more mindful of your surroundings." With that the hooded figure turned on their heel and disappeared into the night.

Jiro stared at the now empty spot where the archer had been only seconds before, his brain trying to process what had just happened to him. Getting to his feet and, after making sure his leg would be able to support him, ran in the opposite direction of the men who had assaulted him, the only thing he wanted to do was get home as soon as possible.

As for Dumon, Takashi and Geki, these three would meet a different fate. Perched above on the roof of one of the buildings a woman with long lavender hair watched as they ran for their lives.

The woods that surrounded Kotomine Church was still and silent, that all changed when the large body of Berserker smashed into the ground, the impact kicking up a sizable amount of dirt and debris as he slid short distance along the ground before coming to a halt.

Moments later Ghost landed a few meters away from where the large Servant had hit the ground. Both teen and Servants eyes met and they glared at one another for several seconds before Berserker let out a growl that quickly transformed into a roar.

Grabbing his axe/sword Berserker was quickly back on his feet and charged at Ghost. Seeing this Ghost grabbed the handle of the Ghost Driver and quickly pulled it and pushed it back in.

DAI KAIGAN: NEWTON OMEGA DRIVE!

Pointing the Repulsion Glove at Berserker the ghostly Rider unleashed a powerful pulse of gravity that engulfed the large Servant, as well as a large proportion of the area around him, forcing him to his knees.

Despite this Berserker did not relent, gritting his teeth he fought against the force baring down on him causing the ground beneath him to crack open and contort as it could not hold up against the two opposing forces that were working against it.

It was this scene that greeted Saber as she appeared at Ghost's side, Rin following not long after. Nearby Illya had also arrived in the area, not wanting to leave herself vulnerable she made sure to arrive at the spot from a different direction.

"Amazing." Saber said, more to herself then to her companions. "What Magecraft is this, what kind of spell could halt the likes of Berserker?"

Rin said nothing at first, like Saber she too was stunned by what she was seeing. What magic could bring the seemingly unstoppable force that was Berserker to his knees; reaching out with her Mana she tried to get an idea of spell was being cast only to her surprise she could find not even the smallest no trace of Magecraft being used to create this effect. If that was the case what was causing it, being the smart girl that she it didn't take her long to reach a conclusion.

"That's not Magecraft. Its…gravity," She told the blond haired Servant, "Emiya, he's somehow created an area of super intense gravity. He's somehow harnessed a fundamental element of the universe to take on one of the most powerful Servant's."

From his position atop the roof of Kotomine Church Archer observed what was going on in the clearing. He had no memory of these events. Emiya Shirou was supposed to have died at the hand of Lancer only to be revived by Tohsaka Rin and during Lancer's second attempt on his life summon Saber. There had been no Ghost, no strange power that allowed him to compete with Heroic Spirits.

Conjuring a sword he knocked the weapon into his bow where it took on the appearance of an arrow and took aim, the shot lined up perfectly with the back of Ghost's head, it would be so easy to simply unleash the projectile and kill him right here and now. However whatever power Ghost seemed to have was currently being used to hold Berserker in place.

Muttering a curse the tanned skinned man switched targets to the muscular Servant that was being pinned in place and fired, the sword splitting into a dozen streaks of red light as they flew through the air, raining down on Berserker who howled in anger.

Berserker was angry, not unusual given his class, the small ones that he'd been ordered to kill were proving to be far more persistent then he'd first thought. Particularly the strange one that seemed to be able to change his appearance. Regardless his Master had given him a command and he would do everything in his immense power to fulfill that command.

Snarling he focused every ounce of his strength he possessed into fighting against the forces that was holding him in place, in life he had held up the sky in place of Atlas, he would not let these small annoyances get the better of him

A short distance away Ghost and his allies watched as Berserker struggled against the gravity pinning it to the ground, the earth beneath him straining further as he forced himself to rise back up to his full height.

"N…no way…" Ghost exclaimed as he watched Berserker slowly begin to advance towards him, staining against the gravity with every step.

Off to the side Illya watched this, a satisfied smile on her face. "Nice try but did you really think a weak trick like that was going to be enough?" She said, chuckling to herself. "My Berserker is the strongest Servant there is, he's not going to lose to some wannabe Magus like you."

Slowly but steadily Berserker made his way towards Ghost, not even acknowledging the shots fired at him by Archer, and soon found himself a short distance away from where the Rider was standing, raising his blade above his head before unleashing a devastating swing at him.

Letting out a muttered curse Ghost dodged out of the way of Berserker's swing, doing so also cancelling the effects of the gravity field that had pinned down the large Servant briefly. In an instant Saber was before her Master, her sword colliding with Berserker's.

The weapons of both Heroic Spirits connected with one another over and over again, neither seeming to be able to gain a significant advantage over the other. In terms of their skill with their respective weapons both seemed to be evenly matched.

Once again Berserker slashed at Saber, instead of blocking the King of Knights instead choosing to dodge it by backing out of the way. This however proved to be an error on her part.

Before the blade of Berserker's sword made contact with the ground Berserker stopped, flipping the blade he suddenly raised it so the flat of his weapon knocked against the pommel of Saber's sword causing her to raise her arms and leaving her torso exposed. Seeing an opening Berserker lash out and slammed his foot into Saber's exposed chest sending her flying into a nearby tree.

"SABER…" Ghost cried out, seeing his dazed Servant half buried in the trunk. He wasn't given any time to react as Berserker once more turned his attention to him, with a snarl the muscular Servant swung his large axe/sword in the Rider's direction.

Seeing the large blade coming towards him Ghost had to act quickly, pointing the Repulsion Glove at the ground he launched himself into the air, twisting as he did so to avoid being slashed, and up over Berserker's head before he dived towards the ground.

Far from being slow or dimwitted Berserker made to grab at Ghost as he passed over head but fell short in his attempt, watching as the armored figure fell towards the earth below he made to swing at him again. Ghost continued his decent towards the ground rather than connect with it he instead phased through it. Moments later Berserker's made contact, splitting the ground open but no trace of the Rider could be found.

Seeing that the tricky one was nowhere to be seen and the blond wielding swordswoman was still half embedded in a tree temporarily out action Berserker turned his attention to the only target he had left: Rin.

Seeing the hulking mass of muscle coming towards her Rin, doing her best to not allow her fear to show, raising her hand she fired several Gandr Shots at the large Servant, she knew that it would do no good but she was not about to die without putting up some kind of resistance.

Where was Archer? With Emiya gone and Saber temporarily unable to aid her the tanned skinned bowman was her only hope but he was nowhere to be found.

From her position Saber finally managed to gather herself when she noticed that her Master was missing and Berserker was approaching the unprotected form of Rin. Summoning up her strength she managed to free herself from her prison of wood. Free once more the former King of Britain raised her sword and prepared to charge at her enemy.

Before either Rin or Saber could react however Ghost suddenly erupted from the ground in the space between Berserker and the Tohsaka heir, now clad in the Hood of Twin Heavens and face covered by the Face Dual Wield granted to him by the Musashi Damashii, the Gan Gun Saber now split into its Nitouryu Mode.

KAIGAN: MUSASHI! (Biwa Cord) KETTŌ ZUBATTO! CHŌ KENGŌ! (Biwa chords and slashing SFX)

Raising both blades Ghost slashed both of them at Berserker's head, his sudden reappearance having caught the large Servant off guard, slicing the dark skinned Servant across his face.

Not hesitating for a second Ghost continued his assault on Berserker, slicing his blades at the large Servant, not allowing it a chance to respond or counter, whilst hovering in midair as if suspended like a fighter from an old school wire-fu movie.

After slashing at Berserker a few more times Ghost flipped in midair and planted his feet in the dark skinned Servant's face off of which he pushed himself, launching himself backwards several meters before his feet touched the ground a short distance from where Rin was standing, taking up a defensive stance the moment he did so.

Off to the side Illya watched as this exchange took place, things were not playing out as she had wished. Time and again the usurper seemed to be able to gain a momentary advantage over her Servant. "What's wrong with you Berserker?" She muttered sternly. "You're supposed to be the strongest Servant, so why is this thief giving you so much trouble?"

Under the small girl's critical gaze both Ghost and Berserker hadn't moved from their position both of whom glaring at one another, gripping their weapons was they watched for the other to make even the slightest movement as a sign to reengage one other. It was then in that moment a change in the atmosphere was felt and they weren't the only ones to notice.

From their positions both Illya and Rin felt a sudden feeling of dread wash over them, as if what little warmth in the air around them had been sucked away. "Wh…what…is this?" Illya muttered to herself, looked down at her small hands and found that they were shaking.

Rin meanwhile was looking around her, desperately trying to locate the source of this disturbance. She couldn't put it into words, but she felt a sudden sense of…wrongness. "E…Emiya…what's happening?" Rin stuttered as her body began to break out a cold sweat.

Ghost didn't reply, instead his attention was focused on his surroundings as from out of the mist and the trees at least a dozen dark forms of Gamma Commando's along with 3 Gamma Superiors emerged from multiple directions surrounding them. "No no no no." He muttered. "Not now."

"Shirou," The sound Saber's voice caught his attention. Looking round he saw his Servant standing a few feet away, her sword held in a defensive manner as she looked around her. "These creatures, what are they?"

"Wait," Ghost exclaimed. "You can see them?" He then turned his attention to Berserker who was looking around him, a low growl passing his lips as if acknowledging the presence of this new enemy.

"What are you two talking about?" Rin spoke up as she continued to look around her. "I don't see anything."

"They're called Gamma." Ghost replied. "And the reason you can't see them is because they're invisible to the living."

Before Rin could respond to their attention was grabbed by the sound of a snarl coming from Berserker, the large Servant raised his sword before charging at a nearby group of Gamma Commandos. From there all hell broke loose, the Gamma moved into to engage Ghost and his companions with their bone white blades.

Rin watched as Ghost, Saber and Berserker were engaged the enemy that they said surrounding them but to were invisible to her eyes, from her perception the three were fighting against empty air. As such she couldn't see several of the Gamma Commando's moving towards her.

When they were only a short distance away from the Tohsaka heir a flash of red rained down from the sky and moments later Archer appeared before Rin, Kanshou and Bakuya in hand that he used to slash at a pair of invisible enemies.

"Rin, stay behind me." The tanned skinned Servant ordered her.

"A…Archer..." Rin exclaimed. "If you're here then that means that there really is an invisible enemy here."

"I'm afraid so." Archer replied, his tone serious. "Don't worry, I won't let them harm you."

Rin didn't reply, stunned by her Servants words she looked away from him hope that he wouldn't see the blush on her face.

Meanwhile Ghost was too busy dealing with the Gamma Commando's as well as one of the Superior's, using both of his blades to block those belonging to his opponents. One by one he cut down the Commando's, their bodies dissolving into an ink like substance that quickly dissolved away. The Superior however proved to be a more formidable then the Commando's had been.

A short distance away Saber was also engaged with the second Superior along with a large number of Commando's, this however was not a problem for her as they proved no match for her Holy sword.

As for Berserker, despite their number the Gamma foot soldiers were little more than ants before the giant Servant's weapons and monstrous strength.

As the fight with the Gamma soldiers played itself out Illya watched from her position, both annoyed and confused by what was going on. For some reason Berserker refused to listen to her orders, rather than deal with the usurper like she wanted him the large Servant was now swinging his fists and weapon at the empty air along with Ghost and the two other Servants.

To make matters worse the sudden coldness in the air around her was doing little to help her current mood, it felt…unnatural. Despite the short amount of time she'd been in Japan she could tell that it had nothing to do with the time of year, it was as if something was very wrong. Damnit, all she wanted was for Berserker was to use his might to reduce the son of the man who had betrayed her to a smear on the ground and go home.

As the young looking Master was contemplating whether or not to use a Command Seal to force her Servant to return his attention back dealing with Ghost, unbeknownst her a small squad of Gamma Commando's as well as the third Gamma Superior was approaching her, she remained blissfully unaware of this right up until the turquoise and silver figure kicked her in the chest and sent her sprawling to the ground.

With one final swing of his swords Ghost managed to defeat the Gamma Superior, the turquoise and silver creature falling to the ground before him, dissolving away moments later like the Commando's had before it.

None of the others, Berserker included, seemed to have noticed that the small girl was in danger. Making quick work of the final Commando he began to run towards where Illya was, his swords held out on either side of him as he did so. The moment he saw the Superior kick Illya to the ground he launched himself into the air and used his momentum to sail through the air towards the spot where the Superior was now holding Illya up with one hand.

The moment that she hit ground Illya let out a gasp of pain, opening one of her red eyes she looked for any sign of her assailant only to find empty space before her. What she did notice a good distance away and drawing closer was Ghost charging in her direction, swords held at his sides.

She wasn't given a chance to make sense of this however as she felt something grab her by the collar and hoist her into the air, holding her at what seemed to be an arm's length. It was then another odd sensation washed over her; all of a sudden it felt as if all the warmth and strength was being sucked out of her small frame.

As he sailed through the air Ghost cursed at himself as he quickly realized what the Superior was up to: it was in the process of sucking out the small girls soul.

The moment his feet touched the ground he was on the move again, utilizing his swords swinging he cut down several of the Commando's that got in way as he ran his focus fixed solely on the Superior who didn't seem to notice him approaching, it attention focused on draining the life out of its captive.

Illya struggled against the unseen foe, desperately trying to free herself from its grip; at the same time she could feel herself grow weaker by the second. As more and more of her strength seemed to be drained along with her vision growing blurry. Squinting the blurry image of a shadowy figure appeared before her, an out stretched hand hovering an inch away from her chest that was absorbing a white mist that was being drawn out of her.

Inches away from his target Ghost slashed at the Superior across its back quickly followed up by a second swing, his attacks being enough to break its attention on the small girl that it was holding at arm's length.

Not hesitating for a second Ghost moved past the Superior, wrapping an arm around Illya's body before delivering a third slash to the Superior, this time across its chest causing it to release its grip on the Master of Berserker before kicking the Gamma in the chest knocking it backwards.

Placing a still stunned Illya on the ground Ghost then got between her at the Superior as well as the remaining Commando's, lowering the Gan Gun Saber in front of the Ghost Driver a laser beam shot out of its 'eye' and scanned an eye symbol located on the cross guard of the weapon.

DAI KAIGAN: MUSASHI OMEGA DRIVE! OMEGA SLASH!

Moments later a large intricate looking eye symbol, this one being red, appeared behind him and the blades of his swords began to glow with red energy. Stepping forward Ghost slashed at the Gamma with his glowing blades several times before raising both weapons towards the sky.

Pressed down on the trigger of the Gan Gun Saber Ghost delivered one final slash on the group of Gamma, discharging the energy contained within the weapons resulting in a large explosion that consumed the remaining Gamma, Saber, Archer and Berserker having dealt with the others.

With the Gamma defeated the feeling of unease in the air quickly vanished, with the coldness gone Illya snapped out of her stupefied state, whilst she was no longer having her life drained she did however feel very weak.

"Hey, are you alright?" Hearing a voice the Enizbern Magus found the armored form of Ghost crouched down before her, if not for his helmeted she would see the concerned look on his face.

"Don't worry, we took care of the bad guys." Ghost assured her, offering his hand to her. "You're safe now."

Illya stared back at him, eyes wide with confusion, her mind abuzz with questions. What was all this, what was the creature that had gotten ahold of her and reduced her to state she currently found herself in, why couldn't she see it until it felt like she was seconds away from dying?

And what of the figure in front of her, why did he sound like a he was concerned about her? No it had to be some kind of trick, to get her to lower her guard so he could hurt her just like his betrayer of a father had.

Her features twisting into a scowl Illya slapped Ghost's hand away. "Get away from me." She retorted as she tried in vain to get back to her feet, her body now too weak to support itself. "I'm not stupid."

Before Ghost could say anything else a large shadow fell over him and glancing over his shoulder he was met by the sight of Berserker looming over him, the large Servant glaring at him with murderous intent just waiting for the order for to crush the armored figure that was crouching down before his Master.

Illya took in the sight before her, Berserker had the usurper cornered and all she had to do was give the order and she would have accomplished her reason for coming all the way out her to Japan. So why was she hesitating?

Before her eyes visions of moments ago flashed before her, recalling how he'd come to her aid, defeating the creature that had threatened her as well as inquiring if she was alright, sounding genuinely concerned for her.

"Berserker, we're done here." She told her Servant, her words surprising everyone. "Take me home."

Shooting Ghost one last mean glare Berserker walked past the ghostly Rider and scooped up the silver haired Magus before leaping into the air, the pair sailing over the tops of the trees before disappearing from sight.

From the ground Shirou got to his feet as he watched the pair depart, reaching into the Ghost Driver he removed the Muashi Damashii and moments later the armor disintegrated from his body.

As he looked up he noticed the sound of footsteps and looking round saw Saber approaching him, despite her cool demeanor he could tell she had questions for him. "Shioru, you are unharmed?" she asked.

"Yeah. I'm fine." He replied.

Just then the sound of straining leather was heard and looking over both Master and Servant saw Archer standing a few meters away, a stern look on his face as he glared at the red haired teen, in his hand a bow had appeared and was aiming an arrow at Shirou.

Without a moment's hesitation Saber positioned herself in front of him, raising her sword in a defensive manner. "Hold it Archer." Rin's voice was heard and moments later the pigtailed teen appeared in front of the tanned skinned Servant, her arms outstretched blocking his shot. "He can't answer questions if he's dead."

She then turned to look at Shirou, a stern look on her face. "You've got a lot of explaining to do Emiya."

"I concur." Saber added as she too turned to look at him. "I too would like an explanation Shirou, what was all that?"

Shirou sighed. He knew from the moment he'd transformed into Ghost in front of them that this was coming, however that didn't make this any of this easier. "Your right, after all that I owe you some answers." He replied. "Let me tell you a story, let me tell you about the day I died."

"I will use all my power to see that your wish comes true."

AN And with that we're done for this one.

So yeah, quite a bit happened this time. Picking up from the previous one left off where Saber, Rin and EMIYA learned about Shirou being Ghost now they've been made aware of the existence of the Gamma. Also Shirou got to show off a couple more of the Eyecons to them as well as rescue Illya from getting her soul sucked out, something that seems to have left a bit of an impression on our favorite pint sized snow fairy, enough of one where she let Shirou off with his life (not that he can die but still...).

Also yeah, the Servants are able to see the Gamma. I think that it make sense that they'd be able to since Heroic Spirits are essentially ghosts that are given form by the Holy Grail as well as being able to inhabit both spirit and material plane.

Also case anyone is confused about the part in the middle with the guy being attacked and then rescued by a mysterious cloaked figure with a bow and arrow, that's set up for later.

But yeah, once again not a whole lot to talk about. Whilst the last chapter was pretty expression heavy this one is pretty much one big fight scene.

Before I sign off the chapter based on OOO is finished, I actually managed to finish the same day the last chapter was posted, and is uploaded and ready to be published. Also I've been working on the chapters based on Decade and Gaim. I reckon I'm about 70% though the Decade chapter whilst the Gaim chapter is mostly on the backburner right now but I reckon I'm 50% through it.

Now with OOO completion I've got 3 completed chapter in the queue along with the last 2 Ghost chapter, which means I can now start alternating between them so next chapter and chapter 9 will be one the other 2 completed chapter I've got written before posting the next instalment of my Fate/Ghost story for chapters 8 and 10, I figure we could use a little break before you get to see how Shirou became Ghost.

With that I'm done, feel free to leave feedback and tell me what you thought about this one. As always I appreciate anyone who takes the time to leave reviews as I love reading them and knowing your thoughts on my work.

Till next time, peace out y'all.
