Chapter 5: Bullseye! Bow and Arrow of Justice!
The sun rose on the city of Fuyuki bringing with it that start of a new day, the chill of the previous night still hanging in the air. In the kitchen of his home Shirou was already at work preparing the morning meal for himself and his guests, both of whom had yet to join him so he assumed that the two of them were still sleeping.
Not that he could blame them, the previous evening had been a long and tiring one for everyone involved so he wouldn't be surprised if the two girls needed more rest, his ability to fully function on little sleep didn't necessarily apply to them.
As for Archer he'd not seen any trace of the tanned Servant. Well whatever, not like he cared. As far as Shioru was concerned that guy could go sit on the roof and brood as much as he liked.
Just as he was about done preparing the morning meal the sound of his front door being opened was heard and seconds later his ever energetic guardian, Fujimura Taiga, appeared in the doorway of the kitchen.
"Morning Shirou." She said, announcing her presence in her usual cheerful manner. "Mmmmm…I smell something yummy…"
"F…Fuji-nee…" Shioru hissed in response, "Do you have to be so loud?"
The brown haired stared at her charge/student, puffing her cheeks out. "Mou…Shirou's all grumpy…" She pouted. "Taking that tone with his kind, wonderful, and stunning Onee-san."
"S…sorry…" Shioru replied. "It…it's just I have guests over and your gonna wake them up."
"That's ok." Tiga replied, instantly reverting back to her happy self at breakneck speed. "I can never stay mad at you Shioru."
Shioru couldn't help but roll his eyes at his 'big sister' as she ran over and took her place at the table, a large grin spread across her face as she eagerly awaited whatever he'd cooked up for her.
No sooner had she done so the sound of footsteps from the other direction was heard and seconds later Saber entered the room, a stern look on her face. "Shirou, what's with all the noise?" The blond Servant said, her eyes then fell on Tiga who stared back at her. "Shirou, who is this person and why is she seated at you table?"
"Who am I, who are you?" Tiga retorted before glaring at Shioru as he placed plates on the table. "Shirou, explain. Who is this woman and what's she doing here?"
"Like I said Fuji-nee, I had guests over. This is Saber, she's an old friend of dad's whose here on business." Shirou replied, he then looked up at Saber who was still standing in the doorway. "Saber, this is my guardian, Fujimura Tiga."
"I see. Greetings Ms. Fujimura, as Shioru said I'm an old acquaintance of Kiritsugu." Saber said, bowing her head slightly. "Shirou was kind enough to provide me with lodgings for the duration of my stay."
"Really, how come I wasn't told about this?" Tiga demanded.
"My visit was very last minute, I actually didn't arrive till very late last night." Saber said as she walked over and took her at the table. "Fortunately Shirou was able to accommodate me at short notice."
"Hmmmm, that sounds like him." Tiga commented, narrowing her eyes. "He's too kind for his own good. Say Shirou, is Sakura joining us?"
"I don't think so." Shirou replied as he began placing various dishes of steaming food on the table. "She said she has some kind of family issue that she needs to take care of so she might not be joining us for a while."
"Oh, that's too bad." Taiga said. "Oh well, more for me."
"Shirou, should we not wait for Rin to join us?" Saber asked as the rust haired teen began serving up rice.
No sooner had the Servant of the Sword uttered these words a still tired looking Rin half stumbled into the room. "Good…(yawn)…morning…" She half mumbled as she made her way to the table and sat down next to a stunned looking Tiga who was staring wide eyed at the Homurahra Academy idol. "Emiya…tea…"
"S…Shirou…what…what's she doing here?" The shorthaired brunette demanded, pointing at the zombie like girl. "She was supposed to be home sick last I heard, so what's she doing in your house?"
Shirou frowned; he'd not thought how to explain Rin's presence in his home to anyone. As he brewed the Tohsaka heir her hot drink he tried to quickly think of a story.
"I…I found her on the way back from the store last night, apparently she lost her keys and got locked out of her home." He told his teacher/guardian as he approached the table and set the steaming cup in front of Rin. "With all the murders and gas leaks that have happened lately I couldn't let her just wander the streets."
Tiga shifted her gaze to Rin who was sipping down her beverage. "Oh my god…" She squeed before wrapping her arms around the girl's neck and pressed her head against her chest. "You are so lucky that Shioru found you, I don't think my heart could take it if something were to happen to one of my cute little students."
"Wh…whaa…" Rin managed say, suddenly feeling a lot more awake as her head was pressed against the older woman's bust.
After managing to calm the short haired woman down the foursome dug into their morning meal whilst having the TV on for background noise, at that moment it showing a news report about an incident that happened the previous evening. Another sighting of the mysterious bowman, a hooded figure that had been running around the city for nearly two weeks targeting the likes of muggers and other small time criminals.
Shirou's eyes narrowed as he took in this information, he'd been keeping an eye on the subject of this bowman, whoever it was they'd appeared within the last month meaning that there could be an Eyecon involved. However dealing with the Gamma had left him unable to look into the matter further.
A few days ago he'd happen on a scene of fresh activity, the bowman having departed only moments before his arrival. What he'd discovered at the scene was one of the mysterious figures arrows, the same kind used by the Archery club at Homurahra Academy.
"Can you believe this?" Tiga said in a disapproving tone. "It's bad enough that there's some psycho murderer on the loose in the city, now we have some wannabe vigilante as well. Whoever they are they needs to be caught quickly so things can go back to normal."
"Hey Fuji-nee, shouldn't you get moving already?" Shirou told the shorthaired woman. "It doesn't look good for a teacher to arrive later then her students."
Tiga glared at her charge and complained about how mean he was to her, still she quickly finished her meal and departed.
Once Tiga was gone, Shirou looked over at Rin who was also finishing up her food. "Say Tohsaka, in the last few days have you seen anyone acting…weird?" He asked.
"You mean other then you." Rin replied coldly, she was clearly not happy about being made to look like a total airhead in the story he'd spun for Tiga to explain her presence in his home.
"That's an odd question for you to ask Shirou." Saber spoke up.
"I'm serious." Shioru replied. "Can you think of anyone who's been acting…out of character as of late?"
Rin frowned. "Not that I can think of, then again I've been kinda preoccupied lately." She told him. "Why do you ask?"
"I'm asking because I think someone at school is possessed by an Eyecon, possibly a member of the Archery Club." Shioru said, his tone serious. "That's what I was doing at school last night, I was hoping that maybe I could find it but no luck. That can only mean that somebody has it, maybe not of their own volition."
"I think I see where this is going." Saber said firmly. "You believe there is a connection between this vigilante and the Eyecon at your school."
"Yeah. I've done my best to look into this however other matters always seem to come up." Shirou replied.
"I see, then our course of action is quite clear." Saber said. "We will investigate your school, if this vigilante is indeed a students possessed by an Eyecon it makes sense to begin there."
"You'll help me Saber?" Shirou asked.
"Of course, did I not swear last night that I would aid you in this matter." She replied. "Besides, your school has also been the sight of Servant activity and it has been ten years since I was last in your city, it would be prudent to reacquaint myself with it."
Once breakfast had been consumed, the dishes washed and put away both Shirou and Rin headed out, Saber following close behind, making their way to school, making two detours along the way. First to Rin's house so the dark haired Magus could pick up the school supplies that she'd need for the day and then to the parking lot where Shioru had parked his bike the day before.
As Shirou checked the bike Saber watched him as he worked, the sight of the machine filled her with a sense of nostalgia, memories from the last time she'd been summoned. Recalling riding the machine to chase after Iskandar and his Gordius Wheel when she'd believed that he'd kidnapped Irisviel.
"Saber, we're done here." Shirou said, his voice snapping her out of her memories. "You ok, you looked a little out of it for a second."
"I…I am fine." She assured him. "I was just…its nothing."
After making sure his bike was still where he'd parked it Shirou and Saber made their way towards his school, Shirou doing his best to ignore all the looks he was getting due to the presence of the blond haired Servant of the Sword at his side.
He'd just entered the school grounds when that strange sensation from yesterday washed over him again. 'There it is again…'
"Shirou…" Saber said firmly, "You felt that right? What do you think that was?"
"Not sure, but I felt it yesterday as well. Tohsaka might have an idea." He replied. "Whatever, I've got classes to get to, if you want to have a look around the school we'd better not dawdle."
"Indeed," Saber replied, nodding her head. "Once we're finished I shall take the opportunity to have a look around and familiarize myself with the surrounding area."
Having arrived at the school the pair began their search, deciding that the Archery Club was the best place to begin their investigation, entering both Master and Servant were met by the sight of several of the club members firing at the targets that were lined a fair distance away.
"Senpei." Hearing a voice Shirou noticed Sakura standing a short distance away, the violet haired girl was clad in the clubs uniforms.
"Oh hey Sakura." Shirou replied. "Working hard?"
"H…Hai…" Sakura replied, it was then she notice the blond foreigner at his side. "W…who's this?"
"Oh yeah, Sakura this is Saber. She's an old acquaintance of my dad's who's in town for business." Shirou told her before turning to the blond Servant at his side. "Saber this is Matou Sakura, she's a friend of mine. She sometimes drops by the house so don't be surprise if she's shows up in the morning."
"Matou…" Saber muttered under her breath, she then bowed her head slightly. "Nice to meet you Ms. Matou, I hope we can get along."
"I…I see…" Sakura managed to say. "So, umm, what brings you here Senpei?"
"I'm just showing Saber around." Shirou replied. "Hey Sakura, this might sound a little weird but, uhhh, have you noticed anything odd recently? Like anything out of the ordinary or someone acting out of character?"
"Strange? Hmmm not that I can think of." Sakura said, surprised by Shirou's question. "Although I have noticed that some of the club members have been making some real strides in their archery lately, much faster than you'd think would be possible."
Shirou glanced around and noticed a group of female members huddled together off to one side, something that under normal circumstances he'd not concern him with. "I see." He replied. "Well I need to be going, I still need to show Saber the rest of the school. Thanks Sakura, work hard ok."
Their business concluded for the time being Shirou and Saber parted ways, the rest of the day proceeding by with little to no incident, soon enough classes finished for the day and the students who didn't have reasons to stay behind began filing their way off the premises, Shirou amongst them.
Outside the gate the rust haired Master found Saber waiting for him, the two of them quickly set about finding spots where they could observe the Archery Club, Saber showing no reaction to Shirou's ability to make himself invisible.
Time crept by and soon one by one the club members exited the building having finished for the day until only one was left unaccounted for: Mitsuzuri Ayako. From his hiding spot Shirou frowned, he knew that it was Shinji's job to make sure the clubs room was clean and instead had dumped his responsibility on Mitsuzuri.
Before long, just as the sun had finished setting Mitsuzuri emerged from the building clad in a green cloak, a quiver of arrows slung over one shoulder and holding a bow in one of her hands, her eyes glowing a faint green.
'I hate it when I'm right…' Shioru inwardly groaned.
Still invisible Shirou began approaching, after a few steps. Mitsuzuri suddenly stopped in her tracks. "Well well, what do we have here?" The brown haired teen said in a voice that was clearly not hers, one that sounded distinctly male. "It seems that I have company. I know you're there my friend, why not show yourself."
Shirou stopped. Given the nature of the Eyecons as well as his status as a ghost it shouldn't surprise him that someone possessed by one would be able to pick on him even in his presence, even if he was invisible.
Letting out a sigh he dropped his invisibility and revealed himself, the sight of him bringing a smile to Mitszuri's lips. "There you are my friend, nice of you to make yourself known." She said, "Hmmm, although looking at you I can see that you and I seem quite similar, not alive and yet we still remain in this world, more or less. I wonder what business you could have with me."
"I have no issue with you personally," Shirou replied, doing his best to keep his voice even. "However that body you're inhabiting is not yours to toy around with."
"Oh, you know this one?" 'Mitsuzuiri' asked. "Tell me, are the two of you…close?"
The question caused Shirou to shift awkwardly. "Mitsuzuiri and I are friends." He replied "And the longer you inhabit her the more danger you put her it."
"Danger?" 'Mitsuzuri' said before she began laughing jovially. "My friend I live for danger, there is no greater thrill then a death defying escape from seemingly impossible odds."
Hearing this caused Shirou to frown. "Stop messing around, let Mitsuzuiri go now." He said sternly before he pulled out the Ore Damashii. "Surrender her body willingly or I'll force you to do it."
"Ohh what's this, a challenge?" 'Mitsuzuri' said, with a flourish she pointed her bow in Shirou's direction and knocked an arrow. "I should warn you my friend, if there's one thing I never do its back down from a challenge."
The two teens glared at one another when suddenly the air around them grew cold and from out of thin air a swarm of Gamma appeared surrounding them, one of them clad in brown leather cloak, a red wig on its head with a horsehead combined with a large axe blade protruding from it, a large axe in both hands.
'Damnit, why now…' Shirou gritted his teeth as his looked at the swarm of enemies that surrounded him, with a wave of his hand the Ghost Driver appearing around his waist as he appeared, inserting his Ore Damashii into it.
EYE! BATCHIRIMINA…BATCHIRIMINA…
"Henshin…" Shirou yelled as he charged forward, the familiar black and orange armor appearing on his body and the Pantheon Reflector draping itself over his shoulders.
KAIGAN: ORE LETS GO! KAKUGO! GHO-GHO-GHO-GHOST! GO! GO! GO! GO!
In a flash Saber was at his side, the clothes that Rin had provided for her vanishing and her blue battle dress and armor appearing in its place, her wind cloaked sword in hand.
In an instant battle was joined, the Rider and Servant engaging the ghostly creatures, Saber rushing towards the Empowered Gamma whilst Ghost was engaged with the Commando's. With a cry the Servant of the sword swung her weapon at the Ono Gamma who used its own weapons to block the blond woman's sword.
As the blade of her sword collided with the creatures axe Saber analyzed her opponent, whilst she was doing her best to keep her expression unreadable the blond was actually surprised by the creature that she was engaged with as it seemed more then capable of keeping up with her. It was quite clear that this one was quite a bit stronger than the ones that she has fought with the previous evening.
Worst of all she could feel her strength slowly starting to fade, whatever prana she'd managed to regain from resting and the meal that she'd eaten that morning was being burned through faster then she'd like and given her Master's condition she was unable to acquire more from him
As if being able to sense its opponent's thoughts the Ono Gamma backed off, putting some distance between itself and Saber, as it did so it threw a second axe appeared in its hands and tossed them both at Saber.
Seeing the incoming projectiles coming towards her Saber readied her sword and swung it, catching one of them and causing it to shatter as if it were made of glass, the other however managed to slip past her guard and catch the former king in the shoulder causing her to grunt in pain.
"Saber!" Ghost cried out as he watched at the Ono Gamma summoned more axes and tossed them in the direction of his Servant, kicking aside the Commando that he'd been engaged with and dashed over towards Saber to try and support her only to have several more Commando's get in his way forcing him to deal with them instead.
Saber meanwhile swung her invisible weapon creating a strong burst of wind, one strong enough to knock the two large weapons that had been tossed at her aside before moving in to engage the Ono Gamma, the poncho clad spirit using the blade protruding from its chest to intercept her sword before summoning another pair of tomahawks and tossed them at Saber who avoided them by quickly leaping backwards, landing a few meters away.
Despite the look of determination on her face Saber knew that she was in a less than ideal situation.
'Damn, I'm getting weaker with each passing moment and these stronger Gammna are proving to be quite formable, certainly more than the ones I encountered last night.' She inwardly cursed. 'I can't let this drag on but what should I do to combat them? My Noble Phantasm would make short work of this opponent but I cannot use it unless ordered to and even if I did it would more than likely do me more harm than good in my current condition, not to mention the amount of property damage it would cause.'
Seeing the blond woman's moment of hesitation the Ono Gamma was quick to seize on this opportunity, summoning more oversized tomahawks at her, seeing this Saber that it then used to engage her hurled at the Servant of the Sword who did her best to block the incoming projectiles.
Despite her best efforts and quick reflexes one of the projectiles managed to slip past Saber, catching her in the shoulder, a grunt of pain escaping from her lips moments before another projectile made contact, this one catching her in the knee knocking her off balance.
Seeing that she was knocked off balance The Ono Gamma was quick to engage the Blond Servant, creating another tomahawk that it used to slash her across the chest, sending Saber sprawling to the ground.
"SABER!" Ghost cried out as his Servant went down, however he wasn't given a chance to dwell on this as the Commandoes were quick to remind him of their presence.
"Damnit, I don't have time to mess around with you…" Ghost growled as he ducked out of the way as one of the Commander took a swing at him, as he did so he lashed out with his foot, catching his opponent in the chest and knocked it backwards.
Seeing an opening Ghost jumped upwards and planted one of his foot on the shoulder of the Commander that he used to launch himself upwards into the air, as he did so his body emitted a faint glow and orange energy swirled around him allowing him to hover high above the ground.
Not wasting a second Ghost quickly changed the Gan Gun Saber into its gun mode and opened fire on the Gamma Commander from his position above, making quick work of them.
He wasn't given a chance to savor his victory however as the Ono Gamma, having witnessed the defeat of the Commando's, summoned a pair of axes and hurled them at Ghost and knocked him out of the air and resulting in him falling to the ground.
Letting out a small groan Ghost pushed himself up off of the ground, turning to glare at the Ono Gamma from underneath his helmet, from what he could see this this Gamma's weapons made it capable of fighting at both close and long range meaning liked to fight at which meant that dealing with it was going to be a challenge.
Deciding not to get too close Ghost decided to change his approach and pulled out the yellow and white Edison Eyecon and swapped out the Ore Damashii in the Ghost Driver for it and pulled the handle.
KAIGAN: EDISON! (Electrical Voltage Crackle) EREKI! HIRAMEKI! HATSUMEI-Ō~! (Electricity Buzzing)
The Pantheon Reflector vanished and the Sparking Hood took its place, the silver open and yellow hoodie settling on his shoulders.
Feeling the power of the new Eyecon in his belt Ghost unleashed another barrage of shots from his weapon at the Ono Gamma, this time firing small balls of electricity instead of laser bolts, who responded by throwing more axes at Ghost only for them to be knocked out of the air and pelted by a series of shots that knocked it back and away from Saber.
"Saber, are you alright?" Ghost asked his Servant as she shakily got back to her feet.
"I…I am fine Shirou." The blond woman replied, "Don't concern yourself with me, concentrate on the enemy in front of you."
'Damnit, Saber's starting to run low on prana already and since I'm dead I can't resupply her with more…' Ghost inwardly cursed, 'I need to finish this quickly…'
Positioning the Gan Gan Saber in front of the Ghost Driver Ghost scanned the eye symbol that was engraved there and the muzzle of gun began to spark with energy. "Alright, let's burn you up."
DAI KAIGAN: OMEGA SHOOT!
Just as Ghost pressed down on the trigger and fired a powerful burst of energy, dozens of red arrows rained down from above, striking down and dispatching the remaining Commander Gamma whilst the Ono Gamma was knocked off of its feet and sent flying a few meters to the ground, causing the powerful burst of energy from Ghost's weapon to miss its target.
No sooner had they been dispatched a flash of red was seen and Archer was standing there, his signature swords in each hand who was soon joined by Tohsaka Rin, the Second Owner of Fuyuki still unable to see any of them enemies that were present.
"A…Archer, Tohsaka…" Ghost exclaimed at the dark haired girl's arrival. "What are you two doing here?"
"What's with that tone Emiya? I was just about to head home for the evening when Archer informed me of the disturbance that was going on over here so I decided to investigate in case it was the work of an enemy Servant. Given that you're suited up and I can't see an enemy I can only guess it's those Gamma things again."
"I have to agree with my Master." The Servant of the Bow spoke up, a wry smile gracing his lips, one that only served to irk both Ghost and Saber. "And from the looks of things the both of you should be grateful that we decided to intervene as you seem to be in need of our assistance."
"Bravo, bravo," A voice spoke up along with the sound slow clapping caught the attention of both Masters and their respective Servants, looking over they were greeted by the sight of the cloaked form of Mitsuzuiri Ayako leaning against a nearby wall. "A most entertaining performance from all of you, bravo bravo."
"Mitsuzuiri?" Rin said, a little surprised to see the brunette. "What's with that getup?"
"Ms. Mitsuzuri is currently in possession of the Eyecon that we seek." Saber informed the dark haired Mage. "Or rather the Eyecon seems to be possessing her."
"Possessed?" Rin replied, "You mean to tell me that these Eyecons can take over people?"
"Yeah, they seem to attach themselves to people that are highly compatible." Ghost informed her. "However doing so puts them in the crosshairs of the Gamma."
Archer however was studying the figure before him before letting put a small chuckle that caught the attention of everyone. "Well well, this is quite the chance meeting." He said to himself. "Out of everyone I could have run into during this Holy Grail War I never imagined that I'd get the chance to meet you."
"Ah, you know of me," 'Mitsuzuiri' said, clearly amused by this. "It seems my reputation proceeds me."
"But of course." Archer replied. "I am quite familiar with both your legend and your accomplishments."
"Archer, what are you talking about?" Rin asked the red clad Servant. "Do you know who this is?"
"But of course, as an Archer myself I'd be foolish to not be familiar with one of the most famous historical figures to ever pick up a bow." Archer replied. "Tohsaka Rin, allow me to introduce the legendary bowman and outlaw, Robin Hood."
"Robin Hood?" Rin exclaimed, "The guy that wore green and hung out in tree's, isn't he just a story."
"Oh ho ho, and what do we have here?" 'Robin' said, a smirk spreading across the possessed girls lips at the sight of the Tohsaka Magus. "Greetings my dear, I feel quite honored to find myself in the presence of one as fair as you. I can assure you that I am quite real."
Hearing this made Rin shift awkwardly, unsure of how feel about this situation. "D…don't try it pal." She retorted. "I'm not into girls or whatever the heck you are."
"You wound me my dear," 'Robin' said in a tone of mock hurt, "For shame, for your beauty rivals that of even the fair Lady Marian."
"We're getting off topic." Ghost spoke up, his tone firm. "Robin-san, I ask you again to surrender and give up Mitsuzuiri's body. Those Gamma are hunting for the Heroic Eyecons and the longer you inhabit her the more danger you put her in"
As if on que the sound of the Ono Gamma getting caught everyone's attention, looking over they were just in time to see it conjure up several axes that were launched in their direction. Archer
Begrudgingly acknowledging that both she and Rin were a liability at this moment due to her low prana supply and the dark haired girl's inability to see the enemy and leaving vulnerable, Saber took up a defensive stance in front of Rin whilst Archer engaged the enemy.
Ghost meanwhile placed himself in front of the possessed Mitsuzuri where he opened fire at the Ono Gamma who was rushing towards him and Mitsuzuri/Robin, the empowered Gamma using its own weapons to deflect his shots before slashing at the black and orange Rider who used his gun to block its axe.
The sound of footsteps from nearby was heard and from around a corner Matou Sakura, the purple haired teen greeted by the sight of Ghost, Saber, Rin and Archer along with the possessed Mitsuzuri.
"S…Sakura…" Ghost exclaimed.
"Hmmm, it appears an opportunity has presented itself." Robin said before 'he' then looked over at Ghost. "Take care of this one, her ability with the bow shows promise. I'd hate to see it go to waste."
Before anyone could do or say anything a glowing orb emerged from Mitsuzuri's chest who seconds later slumped unconscious towards Ghost who wrapped an arm around her to keep her from falling to the ground.
At the same time the orb flew towards Sakura, sinking into her chest. In flash the purple haired teen's eyes glowed green and the green cloak appearing along with a bow and a quiver of arrows.
"No, Sakura…" Ghost cried out as he did his best to fend off the Gamma whilst also support Mitsuzuri's weight.
"Hmmm, this one's is also skilled with a bow. Perhaps more so then the others were." Robin said. "Farewell all, mayhaps next time we meet it will be a more pleasant encounter."
And with a swish of her newly acquired cloak the new host of Robin Hood made a quick exit and vanished from view. Seeing that its target had gotten away the Ono Gamma also vanished leaving Ghost and his companions behind.
"Ok, what just happened?" A confused sounding Rin asked.
"It seems that Robin has abandoned its host in favor of a new one." Archer said as he dismissed his twin swords.
It was then that a groaning sound was heard and looking over saw that Mitsuzuri was starting to come around. "W…wha…whatz goin on…" A somewhat groggy Ayako asked.
She wouldn't get an answer however, with a quick incantation Rin placed her into a dreamless sleep.
"Don't worry Shirou, I will take care of Ms. Mitsuzuri," Saber assured her Master. "The rest of you should go locate Ms. Matou before the Gamma find her."
For the next hour Shirou and Rin searched the local area looking for any sign of Robin, despite their best efforts Sakura had managed allude them, with nothing else they returned to entrance of the archery range where they found Saber waiting for them who informed them that she'd taken Mitsuzuri to the nurses office where she was currently resting.
"This is bad." Shirou groaned after he and Rin reported their lack of findings. "With Robin possessing her, Sakura's in danger as long as she's in possession of that Eycon. Unless we get it away from her the Gamma will just keep targeting her."
"I agree, she's just an innocent bystander who's found themselves wrapped up in this mess." Saber added, sounding firm. "We need to get that Eyecon away from her as soon as possible."
"That's all well and good but to do that we first need to find her." Rin added, resting her hands on her hips. "So unless anyone's got any ideas it looks like that's gonna be easier said than done."
"We need to find Sakura so we can exorcise the Eyecon from her, however the Gamma are also going to be looking for her meaning we'd have to fight them off to do it. But if we focus on them Robin will probably just take off again." Shirou groaned. "No matter what we do it looks like we're back to square one."
"Maybe not." The sound of Archer's voice was heard moments before he materialized before the group. "It just so happens that I may have a solution to this."
"You have a plan Archer?" Rin asked.
"As you say Emiya Shirou, Ms. Matou will be a target of the Gamma so long as she has the Eyecon you need and you need to defeat the Gamma to keep them from going after her." The red clad Servant in a matter-o-fact way. "If that's the case I suggest we use situation this to our advantage."
"What do you suggest?" Saber asked.
"Easy, tomorrow Emiya Shirou will approach Matou-san and convince her come to a place and time of our choosing where I submit a challenge to Robin Hood, wagering the Eyecon." Archer informed them. "Of course being in one place will attract the attention of the Gamma, so it will be yours and Emiya Shirou's role to keep them busy."
"No way," Shioru snapped. "There's no way in hell I'm not letting you use Sakura as bait?"
"Like you said, these creatures will keep coming after her as long as she's in possession of the Eyecon." Archer said firmly. "If you have another suggestion I'd like to hear it."
Shirou said nothing, instead he simply glared at the tanned Servant. It was then he felt a hand on his shoulder where he was met by the green eyes of his Servant was fixing him with a firm look.
"Shirou, I agree that his plan is far from agreeable." Saber told him. "However it is only strategy we have right now."
Shirou looked over in Rin's direction, looking for any sign that the Tohsaka heiress would say something to shoot down her Servant's proposal.
"I don't like this, but Saber's right. We have no other plan and time isn't exactly something we have on our side." Rin sighed said before looking over at her Servant. "Very well Archer. You and I will focus on getting this Eyecon from Matou-san whilst Emiya and Saber deal with the Gamma."
Archer shifted his gaze in Shirou's direction. "What do you say Emiya Shirou, you're the only one who's yet to agree to the plan." He said, a satisfied look on his face. "Although it seems that you are very much outnumbered on this one."
Shirou glared at the tanned skinned man, frustration burning within him. He wanted to argue, to stubbornly refuse to go along with the tanned Servant's plan. However he knew that it would pointless now that both Tohsaka and Saber had agreed to it.
"Fine." He said in a frustrated tone. "However I just want it to be known how much I hate this."
The next day Shirou made his way through the halls of Homurahra Academy, a frown on his face as he scanned the student body for a familiar face. He knew his role in Archer's plan and, no matter how much he hated it, the course of action had been decided upon. Best just to get it over with.
Making his way toward one of the schools several stairwells the familiar figure of Sakura came into view, the violet haired girl carrying a stack of papers in her arms. "O…oh Senpai," She said upon seeing him. "Good morning."
"Good morning Sakura," Shirou replied, trying his best to come off as if nothing was bothering him, "You doing alright?"
"I…I'm fine." Sakura told him, "I'm feeling a little tired, I can't explain why thought."
"Is that right, that's kind of weird." Shirou said as he rubbed the back of his head nervously. "Actually its lucky I ran into you cos there's something I wanted to talk to you about, you don't mind do you?"
"Y…you…you want my help." Sakura exclaimed, her heart thumping faster in her chest. "Of…of course Senpai. What do you need me to do?"
"Um, not here. It's a kinda something I'd rather to talk to you about in private." Shirou told her. "Meet me after school at the Archery Club, we can talk about it there."
"After school at the Archery Club." Sakura replied. "Ok, I'll see you there Senpai."
"Great, looking forward to it." Shirou said, inside however he felt nauseous at having just lied to one of his closest friends.
The rest of school day passed by in a blur. Whilst the rest of the student body departed for the evening Matou Sakura made her way towards the club house where she'd agreed to meet up with Shirou after school.
In light of the string of seemingly random murders that had taken place recently it was deemed unsafe for anyone to stay out after dark unless absolutely necessary, as such all of the schools clubs and sports teams evening activities had been cancelled until further notice.
Yet despite knowing this her Senpai had said that he wanted her to meet with him in privet, just the thought of made her heart beat a little bit faster and a warm feeling to spread through her.
Before she knew it she arrived at the building that housed the Archery Club however instead of out of the front of the building instead of her Senpai the red coated form of Tohsaka Rin was leaning against the wall beside the door.
"T…Tohsaka-Senpai…" The violet haired girl stammered, surprised at seeing the dark haired teen. "G…good evening."
"Good evening Matou-san." Rin replied as she pushed herself off of the wall, as she did a noise from behind her saw heard and turning round Sakura was met by the sight of a tall whiter haired man with tanned skin that was clad in red standing there. Despite her shock there was something about him that seemed…familiar.
"I'm sorry to say it but I'm afraid Emiya won't be coming." Rin continued as she slowly approached, taking a moment she offered Sakura an apologetic look before quickly composing herself. "That being said there's something I need from you. Well not you specifically but rather that smug bastard who thinks it can take you for a joy ride."
Before Sakura could even begin to make sense of what the school's idol was saying a strange sensation overcame her and her eyes changing from violet to glowing green as the spirit of Robin Hood once more took control of her.
"Ah, the fair maiden from last night." The renowned archer said in a gleeful tone at seeing Rin standing a short distance away from 'her'. "Good evening my dear, have you perhaps reconsidered my offer and allow me the honor of your company."
"As if you old perv," Rin snorted. "I'm only here because my Servant has something he wants to say to you."
"Is that right." Robin replied as he turned to face the red clad Archer, "Well then good sir, what is it I can do for you?"
"It's quite simple." Archer replied, he then extending his hand and in a swirl of blue whips a large black bow appeared. "Robin of Locksley, I submit to you a challenge, your bow against mine."
"You wish to challenge my skill with a bow?" Robin said, momentarily taken aback by Archers challenge only for a gleeful spread across 'his' lips. "Ha ha, how thrilling."
"An archery contest. That's your big plan Archer." Rin said sounding rather incredulous.
"Of course, a chance to compare my skills against one of the greatest archers that has ever lived, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity." Archer replied before turning his attention back to Robin. "So what do you say Robin, do you accept my challenge?"
"I must say I'm intrigued, however a challenge is all the sweeter when there's a prize at stake." Robin said jovially. "Tell me Archer, what do I get if I win?"
"If you win I'll permit you the company of my Master." Archer replied, his words catching the attention of both Rin and Robin.
"WHAT!" Rin exclaimed.
"Oh ho, that is quite the prize." Robin said, rubbing 'his'' chin. "But what of you, what if you were to emerge victorious?"
"If I win you will release your hold on that body and surrender yourself to me." Archer said plainly. "Is that acceptable?"
"A challenge of great risk and reward." 'Robin' said as 'he' once again rubbed 'his' chin. "Very well my friend I shall accept. I take it that a proper setting for this little game has been prepared?"
"Of course."
"Well then, lead on." Nodding Archer walked past 'Robin' and headed towards the building that housed the Archery Club. Rin joining him at his side as he reached her.
"Archer," Rin muttered sternly as she shot the man a stern look as they entered the building. "You'd better win."
Elsewhere Saber and Shirou were standing on the Roof of a nearby building, it had been several minutes since both Archer and Rin had entered the building along with the possessed Matou Sakura where their half of the red bowman's scheme was no doubt underway. The only thing left for them to do their part.
And they wouldn't the Ono Gamma accompanied by a squad of Commando Gamma appeared and were approaching the Archery Club.
"It appears that Archer's assumption was indeed correct." Saber said to the rust haired ghost.
"Yeah." Shirou replied, sounding stern as he clicked the button of the Ore Eyecon and placed inside the Ghost Driver. "Well, looks like we're up Saber."
EYE! BATCHIRIMINA…BATCHIRIMINA…
"Indeed." The Knight of the Sword replied as her battle dress and invisible sword appeared on her person.
"Henshin…" Shirou announced as he pulled the handle of the Ghost Driver, his black and orange armor appearing on his body and the Pantheon Reflector draping itself over his shoulders.
KAIGAN: ORE LETS GO! KAKUGO! GHO-GHO-GHO-GHOST! GO! GO! GO! GO!
Now battle ready both Ghost and Saber jumped off of the roof and landed in front of the approaching Gamma.
Rin watched as both Archer and Robin, for the past twenty minutes both Archer and the possessed body of Matou Sakura fired arrow after arrow at a target that was located 100 feet away from them, matching each other shot for shot.
Whilst she wouldn't call herself an expert when it came to the subject of archery from her somewhat limited knowledge on the subject both appeared to be evenly matched in terms of their skill as they matched one another shot for shot.
Whoever Archer was during his life his affinity with the weapon couldn't be denied, he would not have found a place in the Throne of Heroes if he hadn't, each shot fired with precision and perfect aim without a hint of doubt or hesitation.
Sakura however, she couldn't tell if the lavender haired girl was naturally talented with a bow or if it was the presence of the Eyecon that was allowing her to keep up with a Heroic Spirit, whatever the case it was impressive to watch.
"I commend you my friend, your skill with a bow is indeed impressive to see." 'Robin' said to the tanned skinned man.
"You as well, I feel honored to be able to see you shoot with my own eyes." Archer replied.
"Yeah, that's great and all however that still doesn't change the fact that we're no closer to either of you winning." Rin spoke up sounding both irritated and bored. "I really don't want to be stuck here all night waiting for one of you to miss."
Archer sighed at this. "Some people have no appreciation. However my Master does have a point." He said to his opponent. "Very well then, if it's alright with you Robin-san I propose an alternative win condition."
"Hmmm, alright then." 'Robin' rubbed 'his' chin. "Tell me Archer, what do you have in mind?"
Arche looked over at the rather bored looking Rin who was sitting a short distance away from him. "Tell me Rin, do you know what Robin Hood is most famous for?"
"Uhhhh…wearing a lot of green?" Rin replied.
Archer sighed once more. "During a shooting match with the Sheriff of Nottingham he fired a perfect shot that not only successfully hit the bullseye but also split the arrow of his opponent to win the hand of Lady Marian." Archer answered before turning back to his opponent. "Robin-san, to end this stalemate I will not only split your arrow with my own but I will do so whilst it is in flight."
"That is quite the bold statement of you Archer, even I have never split an arrow whilst it was in flight." Robin replied. "Are you really confident enough in your skills to accomplish such a feat?"
"All I ask is for a single opportunity to try." The red clad Servant replied.
"Alright then my friend, let us proceed." Robin said before knocking another arrow into his bow before firing it, the piece of ammunition flying true towards the bullseye.
As the projectile flew through the air Archer held out his hand from which a flash of red energy erupted from his the palm that took on the form of a sword, its blade twisted into a drill like shape, appeared before he knocked it into his too own as it were an arrow.
Pulling back the string the sword began to change shape, the hilt vanishing and handle merging with the blade as it elongated and taking on the appearance of an arrow with a twisted head, this action that caused Robin raised an eyebrow.
Taking a deep breath the world around Archer faded away and time seemed to slow to a crawl as he fixated on the arrow faired off by Robin, blocking out all other stimuli as he narrowed his gaze.
Releasing his grip on the string he let loose his own arrow, the metal projectile cutting through the air at velocity beyond that of a normal arrow, easily catching up with the one fired by Robin and sliced through it as were made of paper before continuing on its trajectory making contact with the target, not only hitting the bullseye but punching through it and embedding itself in the back wall whilst creating a small creator.
"Well, I believe that I win." Archer said nonchalantly as he dismissed his bow.
"Indeed, that was an impressive shot. One that should not be possible for even for someone who has dedicated their life to the bow." Robin replied. "Tell me Archer, just who are you?"
"That I'm afraid is a secret." Archer replied as he held his hand out palm side up towards his opponent. "Now, since I am the victor of our little contest I will take my prize as we agreed."
Robin sighed. "Very well, you have bested me and I am a man of word." He said before he turned to look over at Rin. "Farewell fair lady, perhaps someday I will have the pleasure of your company once again."
Turning back to face Archer, Sakura's body momentarily glowed green and a white orb housed in a green case emerged from her chest and landed in Archer's palm. No longer under the possession of the rogue Eyecon Sakura lost balance and fell forward, the tanned skinned man wrapping his arms around her to catch her, her head coming to rest on his chest.
Letting out a small moan the violet haired teen's eyes fluttered open and looked up into the face of the man that was holding her. "S…sen…pei…" She said, her voice barely a whisper.
"Shhhh." Archer replied before he leaned in a whispered a string of words into her ear, moments later the Matou girl fell into unconsciousness.
"Not bad Archer. Although I must say that last shot was kind of showy, if I didn't know any better I'd say that you were showing off." Rin spoke up as she got to her feet and walked over. "Look at you, having bested one of the most famous people ever to shoot a bow and now here are with a cute girl in your arms. I think you might be enjoying yourself just a little."
"I assure you I have no idea what you're talking about." Archer replied before showing her the Robin Hood Eyecon. "As you can see I have secured the Eyecon that was controlling Matou-san here."
Rin nodded before wrapped her arms around Sakura's unconscious body and pulled her out of Archer's grip. "You better go and get that thing to Emiya." She told him. "I'll take care of things here and make sure that Matou-san is taken care of."
"Very well Master." Archer replied before walking off at a brisk pace.
Meanwhile Ghost, currently donned in clad in the Hood of Twin Heavens granted to him by the Musashi Damashii, had been busy holding off the Ono Gamma whilst Saber had taken it upon herself to deal with the squad of Commando's that had accompanied it.
Despite the amount of Prana that she'd gained regain from a combination of a full night's rest along with several large meals Saber was far from being 100%, as such she'd taken to guarding the entrance of the dojo leaving the bulk of the Gamma forces to Ghost whilst she dealt with anything that managed to slip passed him.
Whilst the blond haired swordswoman unleashed a powerful burst of wind with a swing of her invisible sword, Ghost had his sword locked against weapon wielded by the Ono Gamma as both tried to gain an advantage over the other.
As much as he wanted to defeat the enemy in front of him Ghost knew that his and Saber's job was to keep the Gamma occupied as long as possible to allow Rin and Archer enough time to follow through on their end of the plan. Barging in now without recovering the Eyecon from Sakura would most likely result in Robin getting away again which in turn would result in more Gamma going after her.
So focused on the opponent that Ghost did notice as the Ono Gamma to it free hand and slashed the Ghostly Rider and knocked him back slightly, the otherworldly monster then hurled both of its weapons at Ghost, catching him in the chest and knocking him to the ground.
Groaning Ghost looked up to see the Ono Gamma looming over him, a tomahawk in each hand, when suddenly a pair of familiar appeared and struck the Gamma in the chest and knocked it back. Seconds later the familiar form of Archer appeared between him and the Ono Gamma.
"Well, it seems that you once again require my assistance Emiya Shirou." The tanned skinned man commented. "Given your current state I am baffled to how you have managed for this long by yourself up to this point."
"Shut up." Ghost retorted as he got to his feet. "If you're here that must mean that you were able to get the Eyecon from Sakura. Is she alright?"
"Indeed." Archer replied as he conjured a new pair of sword into his hands. "As for Matou-san she is fine, she is currently in the care of my Master."
"That's good." Shirou said sounding relived before sifting his gaze to the Ono Gamma. "So all that's left is to deal with this guy."
"Indeed." Saber spoke up as she slashed at and dispatching a pair of Gamma Commanders. "Archer, I request that you assist Shirou. I will keep the small fry at bay."
Archer sighed. "Very well, but only because you asked me too Saber." He replied.
His piece said both Archer and Ghost charged towards the Ono Gamma charged, slicing at the otherworldly kaijin with their respective weapons. Their movements almost perfectly in synch with one another. From the corner of her eyes Saber caught this, she couldn't help but be impressed at just how in synch the two of them were. Perhaps more than she and Shirou were.
The Ono Gamma refused to give up, slashing at both Ghost and Archer with its tomahawks only for its attacks to be blocked by one giving the other the chance the opportunity to attack at it with their respective weapon.
"Hmmm, this Empowered Gamma is proving to be quite stubborn." Archer said as he observed as the Ono Gamma stubborn refusal to give up, he then haphazardly tossed the Robin Hood Eyecon to Ghost who fumbled it a few time before catching it. "Here, maybe you should try using it. You should be able to finish this quickly."
Ghost glared over at the tan skinned man but quickly acquiesced, removing the Musashi Eyecon from the Ghost Driver, switching it out for the Robin Hood and pulled the handle of the belt. From the front of the Ghost Driver a green Parka ghost, the hood sporting a yellow feather emerged, flowing around Ghost.
KAIGAN: ROBIN HOOD! (Arrow flying) HELLO! ARROW! MORI DE AOU (Dramatic brass along with arrows flying)!
The Red and silver Hood of Twin Heavens vanished, allowing for the new green hood, the Verdant Hood, to take its place. A new face plate, the Face Shoot faceplate, featuring an upside down green bow and arrow, appearing on the front of his helmet.
A shrill cry and then heard and looking over both Ghost and Archer saw a strange looking black, green, orange and silver bird flying towards them, the distinct dial of a rotary phone in its chest.
Before Ghost could question this he felt the Gan Gun Saber pulled out of his grip, the 'bird' flattening itself before attaching itself to the weapon, giving it the appearance of a bow and arrow.
Taking a moment to inspect his weapon's new configuration, the arrow mode, Ghost turned his attention back to the Ono Gamma, he pointed it a green energy string forming that he pulled back and fired a bolt of green energy at the Gamma who threw a newly conjured tomahawk at him only for it to be shot out of the air.
Not letting up Ghost unleashed another barrage of energy arrows at the Ono Gamma, shattering any more tomahawks that it was able to conjure and continued to hammer away at it before it could create more.
"This is the end for you." Ghost said firmly seeing that his opponent was on the ropes, his eyes narrowing beneath his helmet, as he scanned his weapon with the Ghost Driver. "I won't let you hurt Sakura or anyone else."
DAI KAIGAN: ROBIN HOOD OMEGA DRIVE! OMEGA STRIKE!
Ghost's body then began to shimmer before duplicates of the Rider appeared, spreading out and surrounding the Ono Gamma. Pulling back the bow string of their respective weapon, the squad of Ghost's conjured another energy arrow, this one sparking with power, and fired it at the Ono Gamma. Their projectiles knocking the hood off of its shoulders before it was consumed in a large explosion, the creature letting out a cry moments before it was consumed. Their task done the duplicates of Ghost vanished leaving only the original behind.
No sooner had their when a strange almost transparent energy emerged from the spot in which the Ono Gamma had been moments before, the energy hovering there for a few moments before it found itself being drawn towards Saber, wrapped itself around the blond Servants form and was absorbed into her body.
"Saber," Ghost cried out, shocked by what had just happened. "Saber, are you alright?"
"I…I feel fine Shirou," The blond woman replied. "In fact my prana level is almost back to where it was when I was first summoned."
"Hmm, it appears that Saber has absorbed the essence of that Gamma that was just defeated." Archer said, rubbing his chin as he spoke. "Well it seems Emiya Shirou that you've stumbled across an alternative means to supply Saber with prana."
"Huh, that's pretty convenient. Guess it's just another reason to go after them." Ghost said before he removed his newly acquired Eyecon from the Ghost Driver, seconds later the armor disintegrated away. "Hey Archer, thanks. Much as I didn't agree with your plan I can admit that it all worked out. I appreciate your help."
"Your thanks is unnecessary, I only assisted you because it was in mine and my Master's best interest to do so. It's quite clear to me how woefully inept you are." The tanned skinned Servant replied before turning on heel and began walking off. "I suggest that you get stronger Emiya Shirou, I will not always be around to save you. Oh, and consider my Master's debt to you paid now in full."
With that the red clad Servant vanished, leaving behind a fuming Shirou. "Asshole…" He muttered as he glared at the spot Archer had been seconds ago. "You try to be nice…"
"Shirou," Saber said as she approached her Master. "You look troubled."
Shirou sighed. "It's nothing." He replied before presenting the newly acquired Robin Hood Eyecon to her. "Anyway I say we did good today Saber. Sakura's now safe, there's one less Gamma running around. And with another Eyecon collected I am one step closer to my wish. Plus finding out that you can absorb energy from defeated Gamma is pretty handy to know."
"Indeed, this new method of gathering prana only gives us more incentive to oppose these Gamma and could be tactical advantage for the Grail War." The blond Servant nodded in agreement. "Thanks to this I should now be able to sustain myself without being too much of a burden on your recourses."
No sooner had she said this the sound of Saber's stomach let out a loud and fearsome sounding growl, the blond Servant's look of impassiveness betrayed by a light pinkness appearing on her cheeks. Despite himself Shirou couldn't help but chuckle at this. "Come on Saber, let's go." He said, a grin spreading across his face. "I'll make you something when we get home."
Slowly Sakura's eyes fluttered open, greeted by the sight of the orange sky that was starting to darken. 'Whaa, did I fall asleep?'
"Good morning sleepy head." A voice spoke up and shifting her gaze Sakura found herself gazing up at the face of Tohsaka Rin, a deep blush forming as she quickly realized that her head was resting in the older girls lap.
"I must say it's pretty irresponsible if you're forgoing getting the proper amount of sleep and dozing off in the middle of the school." Rin continued, reaching down she brushed a stray lock over hair out of Sakura's face. "Y'know you're lucky that I found you, someone else might have just left you here over night."
"I…I, uhhh." Sakura spluttered out as she bolted upwards and got quickly to her feet. "Thank you Tohsaka-senpai, I'm feeling better now. I'm grateful for you looking out for me."
"Well no real harm done," Rin said warmly, "Are you alright to get home by yourself or do you need me to walk with you?"
"N…no, no thank you." Sakura replied. "I can manage Tohsaka-senpai."
"Well alright then." Rin said as she got to her feet and dusted herself off. "It's getting dark so you better get going. See you tomorrow Matou-san."
Bowing her head politely Sakura turned on her heel and began walking away at a quick pace, the last of the sun's rays dipping below the horizon bringing with it the end of the as Rin watched as the younger girl disappeared from view.
"I see that that girl is doing better." The dark haired Mage heard her Servants words echo in her head seconds before he materialized before her. "I must say that was certainly a unique way to spend an evening."
Rin did say anything at first, her gaze still fixed upon the spot where Sakura was vanished. "Come on Archer, it's getting late and we've got much to do." She told her Servant. "These games with Emiya are fun and all but there's still a Holy Grail War for us to win"
"Oh, so you do still remember that." Archer replied, "For a moment there I was worried that you'd lost focus and we were getting to spend the whole thing cleaning up the mess that Emiya Shirou and these Gamma leave behind."
"Are you questioning my resolve Archer?" Rin snapped at the red clad Servant. "These Gamma are clearly a threat this city, as Second Owner I cannot allow that to stand. Right now Emiya just so happens to have insight into them as well as a means to deal with them. He's a useful tool."
"That maybe, however need I remind you that he's also an enemy Master in this Holy Grail War." Archer replied. "Sooner or later he's going to become a problem. As your Servant I ask you, what will you do?"
Rin stopped in her tracks, turning to as if fix Archer with a stern look. "And when that happens, the moment Emiya Shirou becomes a problem," She said firmly. "I'll deal with him myself."

"This…is the Human World…"
AN And with that the final chapter of this little sub series for this fic is fini, its been quite a ride but finally all the chapters of my Fate/Ghost story are up and available for archive for preservation on the site and it ends with the longest chapter to date. Maybe its just me but it kinda feels like this is the end of the first phase this story, kinda like when we went from Heisei era phase 1 with Kuuga through Decade and onto Heisei era phase 2 with Double through Zi-O.
Even though I started writing this back in 2018 I never finished this particular chapter originally and it was sitting around in a mostly incomplete state for the longest time. It was only when I decided to include these chapters as part of this anthology story did I made an effort to go back and finish it.
I had several ideas for what would happen next. The next chapter would have been Shirou and Rin duking it out at Homurahara Academy, the introduction of Rider and as well right at the end would have been the first appearance of Specter with his proper introduction in the following chapter that would have also been Caster's introduction (she'd also be in possession of the Eyecons for Benkai Ryouma and Himiko) as well as foreshadowing for Toucon Boost.
Specter would have been an antagonist for a few chapters before becoming an ally to Shirou and Saber, shortly after that we would see the introduction of Necrom who would serve as the main villain until he's killed off by Ghost Grateful with Kirei and Gilgamesh as the final bosses. Also Specter and Necrom aren't Motoko and Alain, much like how Rea looked like Irisviel, Specter would resemble Emiya Kiritsugu and Necrom would resemble Tohsaka Tokiomi.
Something else I had planned was the introduction of Servant Eyecons, imagine the Class Cards from Fate/Kalied where they are basically soulless shells but minus power wise the whole being watered down version of themselves power wise.
Basically Necrom was going to seal Saber and the others Servants into blank Eyecons to create them as well as bind Saber and the others to his will, the only one who wouldn't get caught is Archer although I have an idea that Shirou would obtain an Archer Eyecon in what would essentially be this stories equivalent of the summer movie. This would have led to Shirou travelling to Gamma World to free Saber and the other Servants after Rin, Illya and Sakura use their combined power to open barrier for him, whilst Archer and Specter have off an army of Gamma, enslaved Servants and Necrom. Whilst in Gamma World Shirou would have also obtained the Eyecon G Driver and the Deep Specter Eyecon. After freeing Saber and the others from Necrom, Shirou and Specter would be able to use the Servant Eyecons themselves.
I even came up with phrases that the Servant Eyecon would have made in the Ghost Driver and Mega Ulorder…
Ghost Driver: KAIGAN: SABER! (Trumpets) TŌI YUTOPIA O MOTOMERU RAIONKINGU! (Trumpets and triumphant cries)
Mega Ulorder: TENGAN: SABER! MEGA ULORD! KING OF KNIGHTS (Trumpets and triumphant cries)
Ghost Driver: KAIGAN: BERSERKER! (Roaring) ZEUSU NO MUSUKO SAIKYŌ NO HAN KAMI! (Roaring and breaking rock)
Mega Ulorder: TENGAN: BERSERKER! MEGA ULORD! ROAR! CRUSH! DESTROY! (Roaring and breaking rock)
Ghost Driver: KAIGAN: ASSASSIN! (Biwa chord) TSUBAME NO TSUBASA WA MASUTA KENSHI O HABATAKINMASU! (Biwa chords and slashing sounds)
Mega Ulorder: TENGAN: ASSASSIN! MEGA ULORD! SWALLOWS WING FLAP! (Biwa chords and slashing sounds)
Ghost Driver: KAIGAN: CASTER! (Mystial noises) KOKUMAJUTSU NO MANTI NI TSUTSUMA REAT GIRISHA NO MAJO! (Dramatic classical music)
Mega Ulorder: TENGAN: CASTER! MEGA ULORD! WITCH OF BETRAYAL! (Mystical noises)
Ghost Driver: KAIGAN: LANCER! (Deep horn) KURIMUZON NO YARI GA JIKAN O GYAKUTEN SA SERU! (Crashing waves and seagulls calling)
Mega Ulorder: TENGAN: LANCER! MEGA ULORD! HOUND OF ULSTER! (Crashing waves and seagulls calling)
Ghost Driver: KAIGAN: RIDER! (Serpent hiss) DENSETSU NI KAIBUTSU HIGEKI NO REKISHI! (Rattling chains)
Mega Ulorder: TENGAN: RIDER! MEGA ULORD! EYES OF STONE! (Rattling chains)
Ghost Driver: KAIGAN: ARCHER! (Arrow flying) UNLIMITED BLADE WORKS! (Turning gears)
I'm also curious what you all thought of Ayako and later Sakura as the host for the Robin Hood Eyecon? In case it wasn't obvious Robin had been jumping from one member of the Archery Club to another. Sakura wouldn't have been the only character who would have been a host for an Eyecon, the idea for a later chapter would have had Rin and Shinji be the hosts for the Billy the Kid and Nobunaga Eyecons with Shirou, Saber, Archer and Rider having to work together to free them.
With that Fate/Kaigan in finished, at least maybe for now. There were other plans and idea I had that I could talk about but this is running long, and besides I'd not be opposed to the idea of writing more of this if you all enjoyed reading these chapters. Next time begins phase 2 with the chapters that I wrote post starting this little project. As always please feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you all thought.
Till next time, Peace out y'all.
