Chapter ?: Lion King's Rampage
Breathing heavily Saber half stumbled through the streets of Fuyuki dragging her invisible sword behind her, the blond haired servant's normally refined elegance discarded and replaced by a crazed look in her eyes, her normally clean and cared for civilian clothes wrinkled and visible dirty looking bandages wrapped around her arms and neck.
"Grail…Grail…Grail…" She muttered to herself as her eyes darted back and forth searching for any sign for the holy cup that would grant her wish, growing increasingly more and more frustrated at finding no trace of it. "WHERE'S MY GRAIL!"
It was then that a noise caught her attention and looking over the crazed Servant saw a Ride Vendor coming towards her, the vehicle screeching to a halt a short distance away from with both Shirou and Rin riding on the back of it.
"SABER!" Shirou cried out as he quickly dismounted and took a few steps towards her.
"D…damn…" Rin muttered as she took in the sight of the destruction that Saber had left in her wake. "I read that Sabers made for powerful Servants but I never thought that that she could cause this much damage."
As she dismounted the bike two portions of the air shimmered and both Archer and Lancer appeared. "W…whoa," The blue clad Servant of the Spear said at seeing the current state Saber was in. "Saber, you're looking pretty rough."
"Saber, you need to stop this." Shioru said as he approached his Servant in a pleading tone of voice.
"Shi…rou…" Saber said in a low tone. "Are you here to get in my way?"
"Please Saber, let me help you." The red haired Emiya pleaded as Rin and both Servants approached him "You're not in your right mind right now. I know you want the Grail and to have your wish granted but is it really worth all this?"
"I don't care, all that matters in my wish. I want it Shioru, I want the Grail and I'll kill everyone who tries to stop me or gets in my way." Saber snapped, sounding rather crazed. "I'll kill Rin, I'll kill Archer. Illyasviel. Lancer. Berserker. Caster. Assassin. Rider. I'll even kill you Shirou. I'll kill everyone."
With that the blond Servant let out a loud, almost lion like cry as dozens of medals emerged from Saber's body wrapping around her before changing her appearance as well as increasing her size and bulk. Standing there was a tall humanoid like lion creature that sported similar sandy blond hair, a spike of hair sticking up from up from the forehead and either side just above her ears giving it the look of a three pointed crown, clad in the same armor and blue dress that the Servant of the Sword wore into battle, in one of its hands it wielded an elegant looking sword.
"No, Saber!" Shirou exclaimed, his face twisted into a look of shock and horror at the sight of what the blond Servant had just transformed into.
"Damn," Rin muttered, "This just keeps getting worse."
"W…whoa, is that thing really Saber?" Lancer asked, surprised by the blond Servants transformation.
"Yeah, that's her." Shirou said to the blue clad Servant. "Or rather the thing she's become thanks to the Cell Medal she was infected with."
"Cell Medal," Lancer replied. "Those little coins, those things turned Saber into…that?"
"Yeah, the people that are infected with them have all their self-restraints taken away and are driven to indulge in their desires before transforming them into monsters." The rust haired Magus said before fixing both Rin and Archer with a hard glare. "Still think the Greeed aren't a problem?"
"I am…beginning to reconsider that opinion." The blacked haired Heiress replied in a sheepish tone.
Archer sighed. "Very well Emiya Shirou, I will concede to you on this one." The tanned skinned Servant of the Bow said firmly. "Regardless we need to stop Saber before she can do any more damage and potentially expose the existence of the Grail War to the public."
Just then the sound of a motorcycle was heard and seconds later a second Ride Vendor pulled up, the rider pulling off their helmet to reveal the visage of Matou Shinji, the once arrogant teen that now served as the host for the Bird Greeed known as Ankh.
"Ankh." Shioru exclaimed.
Anhk however ignored him, his focus solely fixed upon the creature that had once been Saber. "My my, looks like she'd gotten pretty plump." He said to himself. "All those Cell Medals, not bad, not bad at all. Kazari might be an underhanded bastard but he sure knows how to pick a prime target to get Cell Medals from."
"Anhk, quite ignoring me." Shirou snapped. "We need to do something to save Saber."
"Tsk, you think you can save her. Your really are dumb." Anhk replied, sounding annoyed, "Remember what I told you. People who are infected by Cell Medals have their control and restraints taken away, losing themselves to their desires. They consume and consume thus creating more Cell Medals."
Ankh then rose up from off of Ride vendor and gestured towards the lion like creature that had once been the Servant of the Sword. "And from the looks of things, little Saber has been completely consumed by her own desire." He said, "I doubt there's anything left of her."
"No, I refuse to believe that." Shirou said stubbornly. "Saber's still in there, she might be buried deep but she's there. And I will save her."
Anhk rolled his eyes at this. "Whatever, I really don't care one way or another." He then produced three Core Medals, one red one yellow and one green, and handed them to Shirou. "Remember our agreement?"
Shirou glared back at him before snatching the medals out of Ankh's hand and strapped the OOO Driver around his waist. "Yeah, I remember." He replied as he inserted them one by one into the OOO's Driver and tilted it to the side. "Just as long as you get your medals right."
Grabbing the O Scanner from his side Shirou slid it along the Driver to scan them, a chiming noise was heard as the scanner passed over them and produced three rings of red, yellow, and green. "Henshin…"
TAKA! TORA! BATTA! TA-TO-BA! TATOBA TA-TO-BA!
From out of thin air several large coloured medals appeared and spun around the rust haired Magus, the first ring of coloured medals spun around his head in a vertical fashion, the second ring spun around his torso in a horizontal fashion and the third surrounded his legs in the same horizontal fashion as the previous set. Huge projections of the three Core Medals in the belt appeared before his, aligning vertically with the red hawk at the top, yellow tiger in the middle and green grasshopper at the bottom before the three of them slammed together to make a new Medal that slammed into him.
In a flash Shirou's body became covered in a black bodysuit and armour sporting a large disk in the centre of his chest that depicted three designs on it that were stacked on top of each other. At the bottom was the image of a green grasshopper, the centre and was the head of a yellow tiger and finally at the top was a red hawk. His legs were covered with thin green armour at the front which was segmented not unlike a grasshopper's legs. Connected to the armour were green lines which connected to the grasshopper marking on his chest. Yellow lines extended from the tiger marking, past the rounded shoulders with yellow edges and ended at yellow gauntlets which had sharp blades folded back on the wrists. Finally the attached to the helmet was a red face plate shaped like a bird with outstretched wings with large green segmented eyes, a red line running down and to the disk shaped chest plate.
But that wasn't all, in the armored warrior's hand appeared the Medajaribur, a black sword with blue and gold lines running along it and attached to the guard would be was coin slot and a handle.
From her position across from the party of five the Saber Yummy let out a low growl as she glared at them, that growl becoming louder until it transitioning a loud snarl before she then charged forward, sword at the ready to strike them down.
"Huh, looks like we're doing this." Lancer smirked as he took up his fighting stance, his trademark red spear appearing in his hands. "I may have no idea what's goin on but as long as I get to fight I'll go with it."
With that said the Servant of the Spear then charged towards the oncoming Saber Yummy, OOO following after him. Archer however stayed back, looking over at Rin. "Rin, its best you stay back for this." Archer told his Master as both Kanshou and Bakuya appeared in his hands. "With Saber like this it's too much of a risk for you to get involved."
With that said he then also charged forward, quickly catching up with OOO and Lancer, the Saber Yummy swinging her sword at her three opponents with reckless abandon. The blond haired woman turned Lion themed Kaijin's normally refined and skilled approach abandoned in favour wild slashes, putting her full strength each swing of the weapon.
'Damnit, I never imagined what Saber would be like if she were ever to go all out.' The tanned skinned Servant of the Bow grimaced as he narrowly managed to avoid being cut down by a wild slash from the Lion Kaijin's sword. 'The way she's fighting and the raw power behind each swing, right now she's more like a Berserker than a Saber.'
'This is insane, I knew from last time that Saber was strong but this…'' Lancer gritted his teeth as he raised his weapon to block the Saber Yummy's sword as the Lion Kaijin tried to slash at him. 'Saber, I wanted another round with you but I never imagined that it would be like this…'
Just then the Saber Yummy reached out and grabbed a hold of Lancer's weapon and with a might tug pulled then man off balance before lifting him into the air, whirling around and tossing him into Archer, both them sent sprawling to the ground.
With Archer and Lancer both down the Lion Kaijin turned its attention to OOO and charged at him, swinging at the multi-coloured warrior with its sword forcing him to try to use the Medajaribur to defend himself but even with his enhanced strength thanks to his armor the transformed Servant's quickly overwhelmed him.
With another powerful swing of its sword the Saber Yummy managed to knock OOO's Medajaribur aside, leaving him wide open and allowing the Lion Kaijin to back handed OOO and knocked him to the ground.
Wincing OOO manged to roll onto his side when a clanking noise was heard and looking up saw that the Saber Yummy was once more approaching him, the lion like creature snarling as she drew closer. It was then a bolt of dark energy struck the Yummy in the chest, looking over both OOO and the Saber Yummy saw Rin standing off to the side, dark energy gathering at the tip of her finger before she fired off a barrage of Gandr shots at the Saber Yummy.
"T…Tohsaka…" OOO exclaimed as he was watched as the Tohsaka heiress reached into her coat and pulled out a small gem.
"Emiya, cover your eyes." Rin called out before tossing the jewel at the Saber Yummy before firing another Gandr shot, this time her shot striking the jewel she'd tossed, OOO barely managing to avert gaze and Rin's shot caused the gem to shatter and releasing a large sudden burst of light powerful enough to blind the Saber Yummy who roared in frustration as it was for the moment rendered unable to see.
"Shirou," Just then the sound of Ankh's voice caught the multi-coloured Rider's attention. "Use this one." The Bird Greeed said before tossing a second yellow Medal to OOO who snatched it out of the air. With his opponent momentarily nullified OOO quickly got to his feet and took the opportunity to switch the Grasshopper Medal with the new one in the OOO Driver and scanned them with the O Scanner.
TAKA! TORA! CHEETAH!
Once more the dozens of medal appeared and swarmed around OOO before three of them forming a larger one and in a flash the image on the armored warrior's chest changed, the green grasshopper replaced by a small cheetah head. Not only had the image on OOO's chest changed but the green lined detailed leg pieces of OOO armor were replaced by primarily yellow ones with white caps on the feet.
With his new power OOO dashed towards the Saber Yummy, the transformed Servant regain its eyesight to see him running towards it with greater speed then and took a swing at him only for the multi-coloured Rider to duck out of the way.
With his enhanced speed OOO had an easier time of avoiding the Saber Yummy's sword as it tried to swing at him as well as get in a few hits of his own, slashing it across the chest and causing several loose Medals to scatter across the ground.
The Saber Yummy let lose another loud roar, this one loud enough to make OOO stop in his tracks and force him to cover his ear in an attempt to block out the noise. Seeing its chance the Lion Kaijin resumed its assault on OOO, slashing at him with its sword not giving him any chance to retaliate or defend himself and once more knocked him back onto the ground.
Before the Lion Kaijin could follow up a pair of spinning object cut through the air and sliced the Saber Yummy in the side before turning and making a return journey that slashed it across the chest. Moments later a red streak flashed down from the sky and skewered it through one of its shoulders.
Before either OOO or the Saber Yummy knew it both Archer and Lancer reappeared, the red clad Servant of the Bow snatching both Kanshou and Bakuya out of the air whilst Lancer appeared behind the enraged Kaijin. "Oi oi, you didn't forget about us did ya?" Lancer smirked at his pulled Gea Bulg free from the Yummy's shoulder.
With a low snarl the Saber Yummy turned her attention back to the two Servants who were both quick to engage the transformed Saber Servant, both Servants of the Spear and Bow reengaging the transformed Servant and shifting its attention away from OOO and onto them.
'Damnit, even with Archer and Lancer backing me up we're not getting anywhere like this…' OOO grimaced under his helmet as he pushed himself up into off the ground. Just then he recalled his encounter with the Siamneko Yummy, the one spawned from Sakura when she too was infected with a Cell Medal by Kazari. 'Sakura, that's right, I was able to separate her from the Yummy before…'
Picking himself back up off the ground the eyes of the Taka Head suddenly flashed and focusing in OOO eyes were able to peer through the body of the Saber Yummy and was met by the sight of Saber buried and trapped by a mass of dozens of Cell Medals and she looked to be in an unconscious state.
'Saber…I need to do something, find some way of getting her out of there. But that Yummy, it's so strong. Getting close is not going to be easy…' OOO grimaced under his helmet. 'This isn't like with Sakura, this Yummy is way stronger than the one she turned into. Come on, think. There's got to be some way of separating Saber from that Yummy…'
Just then OOO gaze feel upon the loose Cell Medals that had been released from the Saber Yummy's body and from there they shifted over to the Medajaribur, an idea taking root in the red haired Emiya's head. 'That…that might work…'
Getting to his feet OOO looked over to where Anhk and Rin were standing a short distance. "Ankh," He called out. "I need the Gorilla medal."
"Excuse me?" the Bird Greeed said haughtily.
"Just do it." OOO replied forcefully.
Ankh sneered at this, however he complied and pulled out the grey Medal. "Tsk, fine." He said before he tossed it over to OOO. "Just don't screw this up."
Catching it OOO turned back to where the Saber Yummy and the two Servants were fighting, quickly removed the Tora and Cheetah Medals from the OOO Driver, replaced them with the Gorilla and Batta Medals and scanned them with the O Scanner.
TAKA! GORILLA! BATTA!
The Medals appeared and swarmed around OOO and the image on his chest changed once more, the green grasshopper reappearing at the bottom whilst the centre now depicted a silver coloured gorilla head, and OOO's armor also once more shifting. Along with the green armored leg pieces reappearing OOO's shoulder pads became bulkier and featured silver lining as well as gained thick and bulky gauntlets on his forearms.
'Ok, let's do this…' OOO thought determinedly, he then called out to both Lancer and Archer who were currently engaged with the Saber Yummy. "Archer, Lancer. I need you to hold Saber down."
"Excuse me, you want us to do what?" Lancer exclaimed as he narrowly managed to avoid being cut down by the Lion Kaijin. "Case you haven't noticed we're barely hold out against this thing."
"Agreed, besides you are not my Master Emiya Shirou," Archer added. "I don't take orders from you."
"Trust me," OOO replied. "I have an idea."
Hearing this Lancer smirked. "A plan huh," He replied, "OK then kid, show me what you got."
Archer however didn't say anything, instead fixing the Rider with a cold look. "Archer," The sound of Rin's voice was heard and looking over the tanned Servant saw his Master fixing him with a stern look. "Seems Emiya has a plan, and unless you've got any better ideas I say we go with it."
Archer sighed in frustration. "Seems I have no other choice." He groaned, sounding defeated. "Very well then."
With that both Archer and Lancer set about engaging the Saber Yummy, doing their best to keep her attention on them as well as wait for an opening to fulfil their part in OOO's plan, something that was proving difficult as despite the enraged Yummy wild fighting style she was giving them little in the way of openings.
Thinking quickly Archer took a few steps back before hurling Kanshou and Bakuya at the enraged Yummy who managed this time to protect herself, using its own sword to knock the two spinning falchions out of the air. This however gave the red clad Servant the opportunity he needed as he vanished from view and reappeared several yards mere moments later.
Reaching out his a large black bow appeared in Archer's hand whilst in the other he conjured a sword with a drill like blade. Knocking the blade into the bow and pulled back the string, the sword changing form and taking on a more arrow like appearance as he did, momentarily pointing it towards the Saber Yummy before shifting it skyward and opened fire.
The arrow sailing towards the sky, glowing as it ascended and split off into dozens of projectiles that then fell back down towards the ground, raining down upon the Saber Yummy in an endless barrage.
Seeing this Lancer took the opportunity to lunge at the Lion Kaijin, stabbing her in the arm that held her sword with his crimson spear before wrapping one his arms around her elbow and the other around her neck in an effort to restrain the thrashing Yummy. Moments later Archer appeared to do the same with her other arm.
"Now, kid." Lancer called out. "Whatever you're gonna do, do it now."
"Right." Scooping some loose medals from off of the ground OOO fed them into the Medajaribur's coin slot and pushing the handle forward, the three coins visible through the translucent slot in the swords side.
That done OOO then began running towards the restrained Saber Yummy, as he did the hopper portion of the chest emblem flashed and the Hopper legs shifted into a more insectoid form moments before OOO leapt into the air. As he ascended OOO then grabbed a hold of the O Scanner and swiped it across the visible medals.
TRIPLE SCANNING CHARGE…
The power contained within the Cell Medals then spread through the Medajaribur causing the blade to glow with energy. At the same time OOO reached the apex of his jump and began to fall back toward the ground, angling himself the multi-coloured Rider rushed toward the spot where Archer and Lancer were barely managing to keep a hold of the struggling Saber Yummy.
Once he was close enough OOO let out a yell as he swung his sword and slashed at the Saber Yummy, creating a sizable gash across her chest that quickly started to seal itself back up. Tossing the Medajaribur aside OOO rushed towards the Lion Kaijin and grabbed a hold of the gash in its chest doing his best to keep it from closing up before sticking one of his arms inside and pushed it all the way in.
"Come on, come on…" He berated himself as he reached around trying desperately to find any trace of the blond haired Servant that was buried somewhere inside its body, all the while the wound on the Yummy's chest had once more tried to seal itself back up.
Just as the medals were about to close around his arm, OOO felt his hand brush against something.
Shifting his legs once again OOO tensed up before launching himself back into the air again, as he did so pulling an unconscious from the body of the Saber Yummy and cradling her against him chest as they flew through the air before descending back towards the ground.
"Saber…" OOO cried out in a worried tone as he set her down. Never in all the time that he'd known her had he ever seen Saber in this state before. Cradled her head and shoulders in his arms, her skin pale and breathing heavy she looked so…fragile. "Please Saber wake up."
Hearing his voice Saber let out a small groan and slowly her eyes opened where she was greeted to the sight of OOO's helmet. "Sh…i…rou…" She mumbled.
"Saber," OOO replied, relief in his voice. "Your back, I got you back."
"Shirou," Saber replied as she weakly reached out to him. "Shirou I…I…"
"GAHHHH!" A loud cry then filled the air, cutting off whatever it was Saber was about to say. Hearing it both OOO and Saber looked over and saw as the Saber Yummy finally managed to shrug off both Archer and Lancer. "GRRRAAAAAAIL!"
Saber's breath caught itself in her throat and her eyes suddenly widened as a look of horror and recognition spread across her face as she looked upon the enraged creature, its gaze meeting hers.
"Saber…" OOO cried out, trying to get his Servant's attention however despite his efforts Saber's gaze remained fixed upon the lion like creature that only moments before she had been apart of.
With a snarl the Saber Yummy grabbed a hold of Lancer's Gae Bulg and tore it free from her arm, fixing both OOO and Saber with a look of pure rage before tossing at them, the red weapon slicing through the air at inhuman velocity as it flew towards its target.
Before it could reach them a streak of black and lavender appeared before the multi-coloured Rider and the weakened Servant, before throwing out a chain was wrapped itself around the red weapon.
With a mighty pull on its weapon the new arrival manged to pull the spear off course and spinning it around before launching it back at the Saber Yummy, the spear slicing the Lion Kaijin across the cheek from which more Medals bled out before it sealed itself back up.
"R…Rider…" OOO exclaimed as the sudden appearance of the lavender haired Servant of the Mount.
Seeing the lavender haired Servant standing between her and her prey her the Saber Greed let out a load roar before her lunging forward, sword at the ready to cut down Rider who didn't even seem to flinch or show any sign of intimidation as the Kaijin rushed towards her.
With a flick of wrist the Greek antihero threw out her chain mounted nail once again, this time managing to wrap it around one of the Saber Yummy's ankles. Gritting her teeth Rider then pulled back the chain with all her strength and managed to rip the Yummy's foot off of its body which in turn send it collapsing to the ground, more Medals spilling out of where her foot used to be.
Whilst this was going on OOO had managed to compose himself after his initial surprise of Rider's sudden arrival. Seeing that the Saber Yummy was down, at least for the moment, his only concern was to get Saber out of harm's way.
"Rider," OOO called out said as she stood up with Saber still in his arms, his voice catching the blindfolded woman's attention. "Take Saber and get her out of here."
Hearing this the chains that Rider was holding vanished and her posture shifted from the defensive stance that she'd assumed into a more neutral position. "Very well." She replied in her usual monotone tone before she jogged over and took Saber from OOO, taking the Servant of the Sword into her arms, the blond haired woman too weak to offer any resistance, before dashing away.
From his position Ankh watched on as Rider dashed passed with Saber in her arms, a nonchalant expression on his face. 'Well, what do ya know…'
"Oi Shirou," Ankh spoke up, producing another yellow coloured Medal. "Finish this quickly…" He then tossed it to OOO who snatched them out of the air.
Glancing briefly at the Medal OOO looked back at Anhk before nodding his head. "Right…" Removing the Taka, Gorilla and Batta Medals he then loaded all three yellow Medal into the OOO Driver and scanned them with the O Scanner.
LION! TORA! CHEETAH! (Roar) LA-TA LA-TA, LA-TORA~~TAR!
The crests formed together and merged to become the all yellow combination before colliding with OOO. The Tora Arms and the Cheetah Legs reformed along with a new helmet. This one was decorated with yellow adornments which made it look like a lion's mane with a blue stone on the forehead. The eye pieces had turned bright blue while the rest of the face was framed with golden yellow and small sections which almost looked like whiskers.
"HHHRRAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" OOO screamed out, unleashing a primal bellow which was accompanied by a massive pulse of light which surged out from the jewel on his helmet, covering everything in golden light with the heat of it even scorching the concrete.
Just as OOO assumed his new form the Medals that were flowing out of the Saber Yummy's stump took the form of a new foot, allowing the Lion Kaijin to get back to her feet, letting out a growl as she did so as she saw OOO now outfitted in the full garb and armaments of the Scorching Combo.
With a snarl the Saber Yummy lunged at OOO slashing at him with her sword, the yellow and black warrior using his new speed to avoid her weapon, swiping at the Yummy with the claws mounted on his wrists who used her sword to block him before making another attempt to trying to cut the Rider down only for OOO to zip away and reappear behind her in the blink of an eye, the black and yellow Rider manging to score some hits on her with his claws.
Snarling the Saber Yummy whirled round and made to grab at OOO who quickly stepped back out of the way which only served to annoy the Yummy further, raising her sword again the Lion Kaijin began to swing wildly in an attempt to hit him
As he ducked out of the way of another of the Lion Kaijin's attempts slash at him the yellow jewel on the forehead of the Lion Helmet began to emit a soft glow and upon straightening up a sudden blinding flash of light radiated off of the gem, the Saber Yummy letting out a cry as she was once more found herself temporarily unable to see.
Seeing his chance OOO backed up a little before leaping into the air and proceeded to launch a barrage of rapid fire kicks at the Saber Yummy's head, launching kick after kick that managed to drive the Yummy back a few paces, Medals flying off of her each time she was struck, before pushing himself off of her, twisting in mid-air and landing on the ground a short distance away.
The moment his feet touched the ground OOO dived towards the Saber Yummy, managing to snatch the sword from her grasp, before rolling forward and back up onto his feet and turned back to face the enraged creature.
"This…doesn't belong to you." OOO growled before he swung the sword at the Saber Yummy and slashing it across the chest, slashing again and again before lunging forward and plunging it through the Lion Kaijin's chest and knocking her back a short distance.
Grabbing the O Scanner again OOO swiped it across the OOO Driver and scanned the three Medals in a single swift motion.
SCANNING CHARGE…
The moment that they were scanned the Medals in the OOO Driver began to give off a yellow glow and at the time three large rings of glowing yellow energy were projected between the Saber Yummy and OOO whose helmet and claws began to radiate a similar energy.
"SEE-YAH!" OOO Roared as he launched himself forward, passing through the yellow rings and slashed at the Saber Yummy with Tora Claws, the six blades that shone with intense heat and light slicing though her like a hot knife through butter, the beast let out one final cry before exploding into a haze of heat and a shower of Cell Medals.
Grabbing the Driver OOO straightened it and the armor vanished from the Rider's body, leaving behind a tired looking and panting Shirou who dropped down to one knee and placing a hand on the ground to support himself.
Hearing the sound of hurried footsteps the rust haired teen looked over saw Rin had rushed over to him and saw holding out a hand to him, taking it Shirou allowed Rin to pull him back up and wrapped an arm around her shoulders as he leaned on her for support.
Meanwhile Ankh had gone over to the pile of Cell Medals, seizing handfuls and allowing them to slip through his fingers. "Ha ha ha ha," The now burgundy haired host of the Bird Greeed laughed gleefully. "Look at all these Medals, this is a mighty haul."
"D…don't forget Kougami-san's cut." Shirou managed to say, his breathing still laboured.
Hearing this Ankh's good mood instantly vanished as he spun round to face Shirou and Rin, a scowl on his face. "And whose fault is that." He snapped, pointing finger accusingly at Shirou. "You had no right to make that deal, if it weren't for you we wouldn't have to be giving away that many Medals you idiot."
"I…idiot!" Shirou exclaimed, an angry look appearing on his face. "In case you forgot I only made that deal in order to save you."
"Tsk, I would have been fine." Anhk said dismissively. "From now on you do what I tell you to, your clearly too much of an idiot to trusted to make decisions on your own."
Rin rolled her eyes. "If you ask me your both idiots." She told the two boys.
"Who asked you?" Shirou and Anhk both reposed at the same time.
Hearing this a dark look spread across Rin's face, roughly she removed Shirou's arm from around her shoulders and shoved him towards Anhk.
"Who the hell do you think you are speak ping to me like that?" She snapped at the pair. "Far as I'm concerned you should be both grateful that I'm putting up with both of you instead of having Archer finishing you both off."
"Putting up with us? You've pretty much been tagging along for pretty much this whole thing." Shirou retorted.
"And as if that Servant could even compare to me." Ankh scoffed. "You're lucky that I'm not in my complete form, if I was I'd put that guy down no problem."
Off to the side both Lancer and Archer watched as the three teens began arguing amongst themselves.
Shaking his head and an amused smile of face Lancer turned around and began to walk off, Gae Bulg resting against his shoulder. "Well that was certainly interesting." He told his tanned skinned companion. "Guess I'll see you round Archer, maybe next time we can settle things between us without any unexpected interruption."
Archer however didn't respond or seem to be paying any attention as the blue haired Servant vanished, his grey eyes shifting from the still arguing Master's to a stray Cell Medal that had rolled over and settled on the ground near his foot. Stooping down the Servant of the Bow picked the item up off of the ground and examined it.
Even after learning about the Greeed, the Yummy and these Core and Cell Medals he'd immediately written them off as unimportant. Just like Rin and Saber had been quick to do so. Whilst the appearance of the Greeed had been unexpected they didn't appear to have any involvement in or even seem to be aware of the Holy Grail War, as such he'd seen no reason to concern himself with them.
That was until one of them had managed to infect Saber with one of their Cell Medals and in turn transformed her into a creature of monstrous strength and driven only to indulge and satisfy its desires, something he wasn't sure was at all possible.
If it could happen to Saber then what kind of creature would be spawned if the Greeed got their hands on Lancer or Berserker or any of the other Servants? Then there was the fact that Anhk had mentioned that all the Greeed, including himself, were currently in an incomplete state, if they managed to acquire all of their Core Medals they would become more powerful and more dangerous then they currently were.
If that were to happen, based upon then fact that he could barely fend with the Yummy that Saber had turned into, then what hope did he or any Servant have to deal with even a single Greeed in its completed state.
Things had suddenly become a lot more complicated.
Elsewhere, unbeknownst to the bickering Shirou, Rin and Ankh, Caster had been watching them via the use of a crystal ball with great interest. Much like Rin and Archer the ancient Magus had pretty much dismissed the Greeed and the Yummy upon leaning of their existence, viewing them as beneath her attention.
That was until her precious Saber had fallen victim to them. She should be horrified or outraged, possibly both, that these Cell Medals that the Greeed's utilized to infect people also worked on Servants. Oh she was, and yet she had to admit she also found herself intrigued.
Shifting her gaze away from the ball Caster turned her attention to a silken cloth that was laid out on the table, an indentation betraying that there was something underneath it.
Meanwhile Matou Sakura had just arrived back home from a long day of school and had gone straight to her room, entering the foreboding building that she called home she announced her presence (not that she really needed to) but got no response.
Frowning the purple haired teen removed her shoes before making her way up towards her room, whilst she would not say it out loud it was quite lonely now that her brother and Rider had departed and taken up residence in her Senpai's home. Even her grandfather had been avoiding her since her encounter with the strange cat man, the events afterward she still couldn't recall all that well, and her 'training' sessions with him had been cancelled.
Quickly reaching her destination and closing the door behind her, confident that she was alone, Sakura opened her underwear draw and began rummaging through it.
Far away from the Matou house Caster took hold of the cloth pulled it off at the same time Sakura found what it was that she was looking for.
Both the Servant of the Spell and the purple haired teen revealing a red coin with a golden rim, both of them bore the image of a bird, Caster's had several protrusions sprouting from its back whilst the one Sakura owned depicted a bird with large bulky talons and three pointed tail.
Count the Medals…

AN And with that another chapter is fini.
So yeah, that OOO chapter done and turns out Shinji is the host for Ankh, bet none of you saw that coming. Also just to quickly clear something up, no Gilgamesh didn't create the Greeed in this story, I get their creator was an ancient king whose desire was to own all the treasure in the world but its not our favourite blond asshole.
This chapter would be a turning point in the story since up to this point Shirou has pretty much been the only Fate character that has viewed the Greeed as a threat whilst Rin, Saber and Archer pretty much dismissed them and it took Saber, and in a prior chapter Sakura, getting infected by a Cell Medal and turning into a monster for them to realise the Greeed are an actual threat.
Maybe its just me but to me it makes sense that the when introducing Kamen Rider villains and Kaijin first show up characters like Rin and Saber dissmiss them at first as they more then likely have nothing to do with the Holy Grail War, it doesn't matter if its the Greeed or the Ophanochs or the Worms, heck Shocker could turn up and they wouldn't do anything to oppose them. You might argue the point but from what I've seen Magi can be kind of dumb or at least very much apathetic when it comes to anything not related to Magecraft or reaching Akasha, and Servants, whilst they have their own independent motives and opinions, they more or less exist to fight for the Holy Grail so unless the Rider villains are interfering with that goal they might not even care. Basically you can say that they have an attitude of "its not my problem until it is".
IMHO the Greeed are some of the few Kamen Rider Kaijin/Villians that are a either a match for of even surpass Servants. The others being the Lords from Agito, Joker from Blade, the Overlords from Gaim and, as much as I hate giving that shit show even the slightest props no matter how minor, Evolt from Build. Why I believe the Greeed are a match for the likes Saber and Archer, one reason: They can't be killed.
The Greeed's being are contained with in their nine Core Medals that are in turn have thousands of Cell Medal wrapped around them to make up their bodies and those Core Medals are nigh indestructible, an Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm such as Excalibur might destroy their bodies but as long as a single Core Medal survives the Greed can just keep coming back. Only the thing in existence that can destroy the Core Medals is the power of the Purple Kyoryu Medals and the MedaGabRyu which can also kill Servants.
My only thing I haven't figured out is whether or not to include Dr. Maki in this. Sure I could shift the role of big bad over to Kirei and Gilgamesh but Maki is such an integral part OOO. Maybe I could have the two of them agree to work with Maki and the Greeed, mostly because Gil finds them amusing, right up until they learn what Maki's overall plan is since I can't really see Gil and Kirei agreeing to work anyone whose goal is to destroy the world. For Kirei its because he weirdly enough sees no value in the worlds destruction and as for Gil, I doubt he'd agree to help Maki because, as he sees it, if anyone is going to destroy the world its going to be him.
I hope you also liked the little bit at the end with Caster and Sakura, I'll admit that adding that part was something that I got the idea for as I was writing. Sakura being in possession of a Core Medal was actually an idea that I'd been toying with but I wasn't sure which one to give her, however, once I had the idea for the part with her and Caster so did the idea of the two of them being in possession of the Kajaku and Condor Medals respectively plus Shirou and Ankh have a pair of Taka Medals and as we all know Taka + Kajaku + Condor = Tajador.
Speaking of Sakura she also would have had a run in with Kazari in a prior to this chapter and infected her with a Cell Medal and inevitably transforming her into a Yummy, the process converting 90% of the Crest Worms inside of her into Cell Medals before Shirou managed to save her.
Before I go I kinda want weigh in on something quickly. I seen some discussion which Rider character Shirou is most like, In my opinion Shirou's has traits in common with several characters from Kamen Rider rather then being similar to any one of them, he has things in common with Shinji from Ryuki, Kenzaki from Blade, Kouta from Gaim, Emu from Ex-Aid, heck you could say he's similar to Hibiki in terms of work ethic. However if you were to ask me which Rider character I think he is the most similar too I have to say its Eiji. Actually I see Eiji being a potential future version of Shirou where he follows a similar path but due to circumstances he never becomes EMIYA.
