Chapter 3: World of Fate ~ Treasure Sniper
"Destroyer of Worlds, Decade. What do those eyes see as he travels through many worlds?"
Far to the west of Fuyuki City lies Mt. Enzou, a scenic location surrounded by lush forests atop which sits Ryuudou Temple. Being one of the city's more notable landmarks the temple and the monks that have taken up residence there are no strangers to visitors and pilgrims who come to visit, either to pray at the shrine as well as to take in the natural beauty of the surrounding area.
Despite the late hour a figure was ascending the long stone staircase that led up to the temple itself, the person in question being a man clad in the traditional robes of a Buddhist monk robes with a piece of material that functioned as a hood covering their head, a traditional shakujo staff with a khakkhara mounted at the top in hand. His wooden sandals made a 'clacking' noise each time they came they made contact with the stone steps as he continued to climb higher.
As he continued climbing the stranger fixed his gaze fixed upon the gate that was located at the very top of the stairs that served as the sole entrance to the temple grounds beyond. It was then for a moment the stranger swore he saw a figure standing at the very top of the staircase, a man with long purple hair tied back into a ponytail and clad in traditional light purple umanori hakama and kimono, light purple tabi and black zori with purple haori and tekkou. If that weren't all sheathed on his back was a scabbard that held a long bladed katana. It all came together to give him the appearance of a samurai. Not the type of garb someone wore these days outside of historical dramas and cosplayers.
A man very much out of time.
He was there for just a moment before in the blink of an eye the completely vanished from view as if he were never there. Beneath his hood the stranger's eyebrows furled, wondering if the image that he'd just seen was real or not.
Regardless his destination and goal was within sight, no point turning back now regardless of what supernatural oddities existed in this world.
"That's far enough I think." Hearing a voice the hooded stranger looked around him, his gaze the standing there was a pair of figures. The first was a woman wearing a purple dress with a black hooded robe worn over the top, the hood covering most of her head with only the lower half of her face only part of her face and a pair of purple that poked out were visible.
At her side stood a rather unassuming looking man clad in a dark green suit, a mop of black hair cut short atop his head and a pair of glasses on his stoic face.
Immediately the hooded stranger and took a step back and bowed his head to the pair that stood a short distance from him. "Good evening, although I didn't think that this temple allowed women amongst its congregation." He said, raising his head slightly to better look upon the pair. "And judging by your appearance you're clearly not a sister, so what are you? A divine spirit, a servant of Buddha that watches over and protects this temple? Or are you some evil creature that's trying to corrupt it?"
Beneath her hood, Caster narrowed her eyes at the man before her. "You needn't bother with your little act Boya, I am not fooled by your theatrics. I was aware of your intentions the moment you crossed the threshold to my territory." She said sternly before shifting her gaze past the hooded man and in the direction that he'd entered from. "Assassin, I summoned you to perform one job and again you are failing to measure up to my expectations."
"This one looked interesting," A voice from beyond the gatehouse replied in a tone that informed all those who were currently gathered that he was unconcerned about the robed woman's wrath. "I'm curious as to why he's here."
Turning round the stranger saw the man in purple that had appeared momentarily at the top of the stairs was once again standing there, leaning casually against the gate with his sword drawn, seemingly admiring how the moonlight reflected off of it.
Caster glared daggers at her unruly Servant. "I will deal with your insolence later." She hissed.
Beneath his hood the stranger let out a sigh and shook his head. "So you're already on to me," he said before a smirk spread across his face. "Guess I won't be needing this anymore…"
Tossing his staff aside the stranger grabbed a hold of his robes and with one fluid motion pulled them off of him to reveal a man with auburn hair wearing a white jacket worn over a black turtleneck and black slacks.
Reaching into his jacket the stranger pulled out a pair of items, the first was an odd looking device that was shaped like a gun whilst the other was an odd looking card that he then slipped into a slot located on the side of device. A strange siren noise like noise suddenly filling the air.
KAMEN RIDE:…
Taking hold of the gun the stranger slid part of it forward to reveal a slot that his card was visible through and pointed it in Caster and Kuzuki's direction. "Henshin…" he announced before pulling the trigger.
…DIEND…
The moment that he did an odd looking symbol that somewhat resembled a barcode appeared before the individual segments launched themselves in Caster's direction whilst at the same time three semi-transparent images of an armored figure, one blue one red and one green, appeared and began shifting around the stranger.
Seeing the projectiles incoming, Caster quickly threw up a barrier before her and her Master, the segments bouncing off and were sent back in the direction of the stranger just as the three images settled over him, the segments merging with him and the image around the strange man took on a solid appearance.
Standing before the Servant of the Spell was a figure clad in a black and neon blue bodysuit with odd looking black armored segments located on his biceps as well as wrapped around his elbows and down the front of his shins, the inside being black whilst the outside was gold as well as golden band wrapped around his wrists. A belt wrapped around his waist with a buckle attached, the center of which featured his symbol emblazoned on a black block, and his chest shoulders covered by a blocky chest piece that featured more segments with a pair of silver highlights either side of a single gold one on each shoulder.
Finally the helmet that covered his head featured a silver mouth plate and a silver plate attached to the forehead decorated by four circular numbs. Its most prominent feature however were the blue segmented slots that covered the eyes that had been formed when the projectiles created by the symbol had merged with the suit.
Seeing the armored figure before her, Caster's face twisted itself into a deep frown. "Another one…" She muttered as she took in his appearance, noting that it was similar to one worn by the man that had so defeated her cute little Saber earlier that day. "Tell me boya, are you allied with the one called 'Decade'?"
Hearing this Diend chuckled. "So Tsukasa's on this world too, isn't that a coincidence." he said, more to himself than to the ancient Magus. "Sure, he and I have worked together on occasion but I'm mostly a solo act. You can call me…Kamen Rider Diend."
"Di…end…" The stone faced teacher spoke up. "If you're not working with this 'Decade' then why are you here?"
"I heard there was treasure hidden up here," The blue and black clad Rider replied nonchalantly. "As someone who goes around collecting treasure I couldn't resist the chance to steal it!"
Kuzuki narrowed his eyes. "A thief then, seems this war brings out all sorts." As he said this he reached for his glasses, folded them and slipped them into a pocket located within his blazer. "Caster, I will deal with this one."
"Souichiro-sama, are you sure?" Caster asked, a momentary shake in her voice as the unassuming man stepped forward and began to slowly approach Diend. "The other one, Decade, was able to defeat Saber."
"This one is just a common thief, there's no need for you to dirty your hands on him." Kuzuki replied, his tone never shifting. "Besides I have full confidence in the enhancements your magic gives me, I will make quick work of him."
Seeing Kuzuki walk towards him Diend was both a little surprised and amused that his man thought he could take him on, raising his weapon he fired off a few shot believing that they would be enough to make the stone faced man to reconsider his action only to his surprise when the green suited man quickly accelerated towards at unexpected speed.
Cursing Diend fired off several more shot at Kuzuki who effortlessly avoided them and thrust his hand at the blue and black Rider who only managed to duck out of the way. Spinning on his heel Diend turned to face Kuzuki, preparing to fire a shot at the man's head only for the ex-assassin turned teacher to counter him, knocking the hand that held the gun shaped Driver aside before striking Diend in the chest with the other, knocking him off of his feet and sent his sprawling across the ground.
Off to the side Caster had watched the brief exchange between Kuzuki and Diend, a smirk on her face. Any concern or apprehension she might have felt having vanished at the sight of her Master knocking the Rider on his ass.
"Know this thief, I have no personal issue with you," Kuzuki said bluntly. "However know that the moment you set foot here your life was forfeit."
"Well, that was unexpected. I can see you're pretty good at hand to hand." Diend said as he picked himself up off the ground, he then pulled out a Rider Card and loaded into the Diend Driver. "Here, this guy looks more your speed."
KAMEN RIDE: THEBEE…
Pulling the trigger a glowing orb was fired from the weapon and a three images of an armored figure appeared that merged together and standing before Kuzuki was a man clad in black body suit, gold and black armor and helmet that were themed after a wasp, two large silver attachments that looked like insect winds over the shoulders. Attached to his left wrist a long stinger like weapon protruded and around his waist was a silver belt that bore the word 'ZECT'.
Beneath her hood Caster frowned as she watched this play out. "The first one, Decade, could change his appearance." She muttered "This one, he can summon others to fight for him."
A raised eyebrow the only sign that Kuzuki was surprised by this new figure, the dark eyes of the Wasp themed Riders helmet fixed on him. Assuming his stance once more the ex-assassin turned teacher aimed a pair of strikes at the wasp themed Rider, one aimed at his head and the other at his chest, who, to both Kuzuki and Caster's surprise, casually leaned out of the way of the first and batted away the second.
Not wasting a second TheBee retaliated and aimed a punch at Kuzuki who just managed to block, the gold and black Rider however did not let up and went to kick out one of the stone face man's legs forcing to fall back to avoid it, putting him in the defensive.
From their respective positions both Caster and Diend watched as both Kuzuki and TheBee engaged each other, the Servant of the Spell doing her best to keep her features neutral as her Master engaged the wasp themed Rider whilst at the same time Diend tapped the barrel of the Diend Driver against the palm of his other hand.
As the two men were fighting Diend looked behind him and saw that Assassin was still leaning against the side of the gatehouse, casually watching as Kuzuki and TheBee traded blows. "Oi," The blue and black clad Rider called out, "Aren't you going to join in as well?"
Assassin shook his head. "Unfortunately I cannot," he replied. "Due to the nature of my summoning I am bound to this gatehouse, unable to move beyond it."
"Oh, that's too bad." Diend said as he took out a new Rider Card, loaded it into the Diend Driver and pulled the trigger. "Here, here's someone you can play with."
KAMEN RIDE: SASWORD…
Another orb was fired, this time taking the form of a man in a similar body suit to the Rider who was currently engaged with Kuzuki, this one clad in purple armor that had the motif of a scorpion. A katana in his hand that had a small purple scorpion attached to where the guard would be.
Seeing Assassin with the long bladed sword the scorpion themed Rider raised his weapon before charging at the purple clad samurai who raised an eyebrow before pushing himself away from the side of the gatehouse, raising his own sword in time to block a swing from the scorpion Rider.
Meanwhile Caster was beginning to grow a little anxious as she watched her Master traded blows with TheBee, despite her magical enhancements the wasp themed Rider was proving more far more of a match for him then she was comfortable with.
Whilst she had complete faith in Kuzuki's physical abilities maybe it would prudent to step in, he might not be happy for her interference but given the circumstances she would willingly accept his disappointment if it meant ridding themselves of their intruder.
Holding out her hand Caster conjured a circle that contained many arcane runes that glowed with energy, but before she could fire the spell that she had called upon a shot rang out and moments later the spell that the legendary woman had been charging suddenly exploded in her face, launching her backwards and sending her sprawling across the ground.
Letting out a grunt, Caster pushed herself up and looking over saw Diend wagging a finger at her, the still smoking barrel of his weapon pointed in her direction. "Uh uh, it's not nice to interrupt their play date." He told the Greek antihero. "If you're feeling left out all you had to do was say so."
With that he then fired another barrage of shots at the female Servant who with a quick incantation threw up a barrier to block the incoming barrage that repeatedly bounced off of it.
Noticing that Caster was being fired upon by the blue and black Rider Kuzuki quickly shifted focus and moved to intercept down Diend and take him down, this however would be unsuccessful. The moment that tried to make a move towards the gunslinger something grabbed him by the shoulder and pulled him back.
Looking over the ex-assassin was just in time to see TheBee's fist moments before it made contact with his face knocking him back slightly and throwing him off balance enough for the wasp themed Rider to get a few more hits in before he recovered enough to defend himself.
Seeing that Kuzuki was in no position to aid her, Caster muttered a curse to herself before conjuring a magical circle in the air before her and fired a beam of glowing magical energy at Diend, forcing him cease shooting at her to dive to the side to avoid it.
Seizing on her momentary reprieve Caster's cloak suddenly unfurled outwards as if caught by a powerful gust of wind, taking on an almost wing like appearance and took to the air, as he did so a glowing magical circle appeared before both of her outstretched hands and a powerful beam if glowing energy was fired from them at Diend who dived spout of the way of the incoming beams.
Caster however was not about to let up, especially with how much of a headache that dealing with the gun slinging Rider was proving to be, both combatants alternating between firing upon each other and avoiding or blocking the shots fired at them.
From his position on the ground Diend watched as Caster created several more magical circles from which she launched multiple beams of magical energy coming at him, not wanting to get hit by this Diend began to run, narrowly avoiding most of Caster's barrage before leaping out of the way of the last one, as he dived to the side the world hopping thief produced another Rider Card and loaded it into the Diend Driver and pulled the trigger.
KAMEN RIDE: DRAKE…
For the third time a glowing orb was fired that split into three images that merged together, taking the form of a Rider that had armor themed after a Dragonfly with an armored chest piece shaped like insectoid wings that covered their right shoulder, the right arm also sporting blue armored segments running down it and a two pronged plate attached to his right hand, similar to the creatures long tail. Also in his hand was a weapon that looked like a Dragonfly mounted on a black handle with a trigger attached to it.
Without a moment's hesitation Drake pointed his weapon at Caster and opened fire, the Servant of the Spell momentarily shifting her attention off of Diend to her newest opponent and giving him the chance to recover and get back up and join his newest summon in opening fire at the Greek antihero.
Caster cursed as she found herself having to fend off the both gun slinging Riders as she was forced to take a defensive stance, focusing her magical energies into a barrier to block the barrage of shots from both Diend and Drake.
Seeing both his and Drake's shots ricochet off of Casters barrier Diend took out another Rider Card, this one having a yellow back, and loaded it into his weapon.
ATTACK RIDE: BLAST…
At the same time Drake folded the wings of his weapon together before pulling them down creating a scope before pulling back the Dragonfly's tail. "Rider Shooting." he announced, the barrel of his gun beginning to spark as it charged itself with energy.
RIDER SHOOTING
Pressing down on the trigger of the Diend Driver a trio of glowing bolts of energy were fired from Diend's weapon at the robed Servant, two of them collided with the barrier that she quickly erected whilst the third curved around her avoiding the barrier and struck her in the back.
Seconds later Drake pulled the trigger of his own weapon, firing a powerful burst of energy that punched through Caster's barrier and struck Vaster in the chest, her body momentarily sparking before she was consumed in an explosion that knocked her out of the air and sent her crashing into the ground below.
Meanwhile Kuzuki had managed to recover and was once again trading blows with TheBee, both melee based fighters throwing jabs and kicks at one another only for their respective strikes to be either dodged, blocked or countered.
Seeing his opponent aim another strike at him TheBee raised a hand and swatted Kuzuki's hand away, following this up by taking several steps back and putting a small distance between them.
Seeing his opponent fall back Kuzuki was momentarily puzzled, questioning why the Zect Rider was giving up ground and leaving himself in a vulnerable position. These questions were quickly discarded, and momentarily tensed before lunging forward hoping to press a potential advantage.
Seeing the short haired man coming at him, TheBee reached down and tapped his fingers on a section located on the right side of his belt and slid it back. "Clock Up…"
CLOCK UP
The gold and black Rider gave Kuzuki before suddenly vanishing from sight leaving the stone-faced man standing there, glancing from left to right trying to catch any glimpse of his opponent.
Even with Caster's enhancements he could not see nor even try to predict where his opponent's attacks were coming from. With one last blow that struck Kuzuki in the facel a spurt of blood from his nose trailing after him as he fell, the ex-assassin was knocked off of his feet and sent sprawling across the ground, coming to a stop close to where Caster had fallen.
CLOCK OVER
Then in a blink of an eye TheBee reappeared, standing tall over Kuzuki who fixed him with a cold glare as he wiped away the blood from his nose with the back of his hand.
Grunting pain Caster looked up to see Diend approaching, flanked on either side by both Drake and TheBee. "Well, that was fun." The thieving Rider said, twirling the Diend Driver as he did so. "Now this treasure, are you going to tell me where it is or do I have to find it myself?"
Glaring at the blue and black Rider from beneath her hood, Caster placed both of her hands on the ground, never breaking eye contact with Diend; she muttered out an incantation and a large portion of the ground began to glow with an ominous red energy from which dozens of skeletal-like forms appeared all armed with various weapons.
Seeing this Diend and his two summoned Riders took in the sight of the sheer number of new combatants that the Servant of the Spell had called upon. Calmly Diend produced yet another Rider Card and loaded it into the Diend Driver, aiming it towards Casters newly summoned warriors and fired.
KAMEN RIDE: GATACK…
Once more an orb of light was fired that split into three shifting images that merged together and standing there was a new Rider, this one adorned in blue armor, his helmet sporting a pair of red segmented eyes and a pair of horns on top of his head that curved slightly inwards. In his hands he wielded a pair of curved serrated blades fashioned after the pincers of a stag beetle.
Something that set this new Rider apart from the others that Diend had summoned was that attached to the belt around his waist was a blue mechanical device shaped like stag beetle with its horns pulled back.
By some wordless command the Dragon Tooth Familiars moved in to engage Diend and the three Zect Riders, both Diend, Gatack and TheBee too moved in to engage the enemy whilst Drake stood back and took pot-shots at the bony summons.
Engaging the familiars Caster had summoned Diend, Gatack and TheBee quickly discovered that they were rather flimsy. A simple punch, swing of a sword or shot fired at them was enough to reduce them into a pile of bones on the floor. However they also discovered rather quickly that every time one was knocked down it would quickly reform and get back up to hound them once more.
Meanwhile at the Gate House, both Assassin and Sasword were still engaged with one another, both purple swordsmen's blades clashing again and again, both of them moving with an almost elegant fluidity as they sliced, parried and repelled one another.
"I must say I'm impressed by a stranger." The purple clad samurai told the scorpion Rider as they once again locked swords. "Before you came I truly believed that the path of the sword was all but dead in this day and age, a relic of a bygone age all but forgotten. In fact there is only one other I've encountered recently that could match me."
"You as well, finding worthy opponents who can offer any sort of challenge is frustrating." Sasword replied. "Getting to cross blades with one as skilled with a sword as you, I am overjoyed. However, that will not stop me from cutting you down."
Hearing this a smile crept across the wraith's face. "Funny, I was thinking the same thing." He chuckled before he and Sasword slashed and parried at each other a few more times before both of them backed up the short distance the spot at the top of the long stairs allowed them to.
Assassin began laughing. "Yes, this…this is the best. You have my gratitude stranger, due to how I was summoned I'd resigned myself to being bound here far from the War that is being waged in the city." He told Sasword in a gleeful tone. "But right here and now, getting to fight you and Saber, I feel both honoured and privileged. It's a shame I have to kill you,"
Sasword chuckled in response. "Of course you feel honoured, it's only natural." he told the wraith as he gave a flourish of his sword and raised his hand towards the sky. "I stand at the top above all others, my sword will cut down all who oppose me in a single swing. Even God will fall before me."
Assassin's laugh grew louder at hearing this. "Even God huh. You just get even more interesting don't you?" The smirk on the wraith's face widened. "Just for that I'll grant you the honour of being felled by ultimate technique."
He then took up a stance, his legs spread widely apart whilst raising his sword horizontally alongside his head blade side up, gripping the handle in both hands. Seeing this Sasword let out a small chuckle and smiled beneath his helmet. "Your ultimate technique," He said as he raised his sword and pointed at Assassin. "Very well, I will grant you the same honour."
Taking a deep breath Assassin narrowed his gaze on his opponent. "Hiken - Tsubame Gaeshi…" He muttered as he tensed up for a moment before unleashed the first of several slashes, moving so fast it looked as if he'd swung three at the same time.
At the same moment that Assassin unleashed his first swing Sasword pressed down on the tail of the Sasword Zecter that was mounted to the Sasword Yaiver. "Clock up…"
CLOCK UP
All around the world slowed until everything ceased, all the sounds of the night and those of battle fell quiet and everyone except for Sasword himself were frozen in the moment. Some leaves from the surrounding trees that had come lose suspended around him.
Grabbing the Sasword Zecter's tail he pulled it back before pressed down on it, the tip of the tail began to crackling with energy that travelled up his arm and along the blade as he took out his finishing stance, legs spread apart with the weapon held behind him. "Rider Slash…"
RIDER SLASH
Swinging the sparking blade ahead of him, a viscous purple liquid dripping off of the blade, before lunging forward and Sasword unleashed a series of slashes at Assassin before spinning on his heel and turned away from him, the wraith's body sparking with energy before being consumed in an explosion.
CLOCK OVER
Time one again moving the beaten form of Assassin dropped to the ground, panting heavily and blood oozing from the wounds left behind by Sawords attack he gazed up at the Scorpion Rider who was still looking away from him.
"Know this worthy adversary, I feel no ill will towards you but the moment we crossed blades your defeat was already foretold." Sasword told the fallen and bleeding man. "I cannot, will not, be defeated, not here and not to you. You see there is a man out there, one that I must defeat and until the day comes where I am able to face him once again I cannot allow myself to lose."
With that Sasword then took off running towards the temple grounds, raising his weapon he entered the fray where the other Zect Riders and Diend were engaging Casters familiars, slicing through them as he did so.
Whilst Sasword had been finishing up his fight with Assassin, Diend was doing his best to stay mobile. Alternating between using his fist and his weapon to deal with the Dragon Tooth familiars, all of whom crumbled upon impact only to regenerate just as quickly.
He'd just dispatched some more of the Familiars when something struck him in the side and caused him to lose his balance, stumbling slightly before he was able to catch himself. Looking round he was greeted by the sight of Kuzuki.
"What's this, ready for another round?" Diend said casually as he ducked his head out of the way of a strike that the stern looking teacher had aimed at his head. The thriving Rider then fired several shots from his weapon at the stone-faced man's feet, forcing him to fall back slightly to avoid them.
Seeing this Diend produced two Rider Cards and loaded them into the Diend Driver. "Ok, let's see how you handle these two." he said before pulling the trigger and firing a pair of glowing orbs.
KAMEN RIDE: KICKHOPPER…/PUNCHHOPPER…
The Diends weapon two new Riders were summoned, both of them clad in similar armor that looked to be themed after grasshoppers with spiked shoulder pads. One was green with red eyes and a strange device attached to their left leg whilst the other had brown armor, pale red eyes and a similar device mounted on their right arm.
"Oi aniki," The brown Rider said in a low tone as he glanced over at his partner. "I think this guy is laughing at us.
"Ohhh, is that right aibou." The green replied before he lazily lulled his head in Kuzuki's direction "Hey you, did you just laugh at us?"
Kuzuki said nothing as he once more assumed his fighting stance. Looking at the pair he was reminded of the various delinquent students that he'd had to deal with since becoming a teacher.
"Come friend, join us." KickHopper said as he turned towards the ex-assassin, head cocked to one side and with his arms spread out slightly taking a few slow steps forward. "We can all laugh together…in hell."
His piece said KickHopper then dashed towards Kuzuki, PunchHopper following close behind, leaping a short distance into the air as he aimed a kick at the Master of Caster's head. Seeing this Kuzuki reacted quickly, leaning out of the way whilst at the same time bringing up a hand to block a punch from PunchHopper.
Straightening up and spinning on his heel Kuzuk took a couple of steps back he quickly took up a defensive stance as both KickHopper and PunchHopper moved in to engage once again, utilizing every of last piece of experience that had been beaten into him from his years from his former profession to the ward off attacks by the two hopper Riders.
Talking a few moments to Watch as the stone faced teacher engage both Hoppers Diend was quickly on the move again, dispatching several more of the Dragon Tooth Familiars he soon found himself on the other side of the fighting where he found Caster who gotten back to her feet, much like Kuzuki she looked like she'd recovered enough from getting shot down by both himself and Drake.
"You again." The robed Servant said, not even trying to hide her disgust for the blue and black Rider. "You are proving to be most annoying."
"I try my best." Diend replied, shrugging slightly before pointing his Diend Driver at her. "Now, are you gonna be a good host and tell me where this treasure is or are we gonna go another round?"
"Tsk, I am growing tired of having to deal with you." Caster growled, her eyes glowing with arcane power as she reached into her robes and produced her Noble Phantasm Rule Breaker. "Do not think your tricks will work on me a second time thief, I will not make the mistake of underestimating you again."
Hearing this Diend let out a 'hah'. "Round 2 it is…" He said before opening fire on her again. Seeing this Caster raised Rule Breaker to block the incoming shots as she conjured a spell that she quickly fired back at Diend.
Seeing the magical energy coming at him Diend strafed to the side to avoid it, loaded two more Rider cards into his Driver as he did so and fired them at Caster.
KAMEN RIDE: HERCUS…/KETAROS…
The orbs that were fired appeared on either side of the female Servant, taking the form of two similar looking Riders with two horn like spikes protruding from their left shoulder pad and a large insect look device mounted onto a brace on their left wrist. One clad in silver armor with red eyes, a single horn protruding from the helmets forehead and had a silver and black axe weapon in one hand whilst the other had bronze armor, green eyes and had two horns protruding from his helmet and was wielding a large knife with a bronzed blade.
Noticing Caster the two new Riders quickly engaged her, Caster muttering a curse as she ducked out of the way of Hercus as he sliced at her with his Kunaigun in its axe form before bringing up Rule Breaker to block Ketaros as he used his own Kunaigun in its blade form.
Just as she was about to fire a spell Caster at the silver and bronze Riders when she was suddenly pelted by a barrage of shots, turning her head in the direction they were coming from she was met by the sight of Diend. Muttering a curse she fired her spell at him, the thief manging to avoid it.
Shifting her attention away from Hercus and Ketaros, even momentarily, proved to be an error on Caster's part. Noticing that the spell slinger's distracted Hercus quickly capitalized on this, moving in the silver Zect Rider knocked Rule Breaker out of the Greek Servant's hand before punching her square in the face, the momentum of it causing her to spin round where she was met by the sight of Ketaros's foot moments before it made contact and knocked her to the ground.
As she lay there Caster suddenly felt something Hercus and Ketaros hoisted her up onto her knees, restraining her as Diend approached them.
"Well, that was kinda disappointing. You sure don't handle getting punched in the face very well." As he did so the thieving Rider said, as he did so he loaded up another Rider card and fired in the spot beside him.
KAMEN RIDE: CAUCASUS…
The familiar orb appeared that then shifted into the shifting images that took the form of a new Rider, this one sported armor similar to Hercus and Ketaros, this one being coloured mustard yellow and his helmet sported three horns and blue eyes. Something that set his apart from them was his lack of a weapon, instead he was hold a rose with blue petals, as well as an odd looking device shaped like a kabuto beetle attached to the side of his belt.
"Now, are we gonna keep doing this or are you gonna play nice, admit defeat and tell me where my treasure is?" Diend said, the barrel of his weapon inches away from Caster's face.
Nearby KickHopper and PunchHopper were still engaged with Kuzuki, the two Hopper Riders coming at the ex-assassin from both sides forcing him to try and ward off both of them at the same time.
For his part Kuzuki did his best to not get caught out, trying to not let his attention focus linger on one of them for too long as not to get caught out however KickHopper proved to be more relentless then his partner and soon found he himself fending off the green Hopper Rider whilst PunchHopper seemed to be holding back.
Seeing that his partner had their opponent's attention PunchHopper pulled back the legs of his Hopper Zecter. "Rider Jump…" He said, the gem set into the brown insect like devise flashed before sending crackling energy down his right leg.
RIDER JUMP
Feeling the energy in his leg PunchHopper launched himself into the air, sailing up and above both Kuzuki and KickHopper before landing behind the stone faced teacher. The moment his feet touched the ground PunchHoper lunged forward and wrapped his arms around Kuzuki, doing his best to try and restrain him. "Aniki," He called out to his partner. "Do it now."
Hearing this KickHopper tensed up as he grabbed the legs of his own Hopper Zecter and pulled them back. "Rider Jump…"
RIDER JUMP
The gem on the Zecter flashed and the Anchor Jack mounted on his left leg began crackling with energy before launching himself into the high into the air, where he grabbed his Zecter legs again and pulled them back into place. "Rider Kick…"
RIDER KICK
Hanging in the air for several seconds the gem get into the forehead of KickHopper's helmet began to crackle with energy before he descended towards the ground performed a Flying Front Kick on Kuzuki, Seeing this partner in coming, PunchHopper releasing his hold on the ex-Assassin and shoved him forward into his oncoming partner.
The moment KickHopper's foot struck him in the chest Kuzuki's body began to crackle with energy as he staggered backwards before an eruption of heat, light and energy erupted centred on him.
Hearing this Caster looked over and was in time to see the man who had saved her from vanishing and agreed to be her Master with no ulterior motives consumed in a bright flash of light before collapsing to the ground where he lay motionless.
"S…Souichiro-sama…" She stammered, a look of fear and shock on her face that after a few seconds morphed into a look of pure rage as she glared at both Diend and Caucasus with pure hate.
"Εσείς..." She snarled in her native tongue, "Εσείς... εσείς... όλοι πεθάνετε…" Summoning up a surge of magic she knocked both Hercus and Ketaros aside as well as catching Diend by surprise, causing him to back up a little.
Seeing her opponents Caster quickly got back to her feet before she once again rose into the air, conjuring dozens of magical circles she unleashed an unending barrage of magical beams with the intension of striking down everything below her regardless of who or what it was.
In that moment nothing mattered. Not the Holy Grail or her wish to return to her homeland. All she wanted was to annihilate Diend and the Riders that he had summoned, regardless if she ended up destroying the temple that served as her base in the process along with the lives of everyone that lived there
"ΘΑ ΣΑΣ ΣΤΕΙΛΩ ΟΛΟΥΣ ΣΤΟ ΔΙΑΟΛΟ!" She cried out as continued her rage fuelled barrage on all those below.
Despite the destruction that was occurring around him Caucasus seemed unfazed, even seeing the glowing beam of magical energy coming towards him he casually reached out and struck the insect themed device on the side of his belt. "Hyper…Clock…up…"
HYPER CLOCK UP
A crackle of energy spread across the mustard yellow Rider's body and in an instant everything stopped, the beam of magical energy Caster had fired stopping inches away at him. Moments later the beam of energy began to retreat along with the others Caster had fired at the devastation she had caused fixing itself as time wound itself backwards.
Back and back time wound further and further until they reached the point where Kuzuki found himself restrained by PunchHopper and the ex-assassin had been struck down by KickHopper's Rider Jump/Kick combo.
HYPER CLOCK OVER
Once again Caster stared on wide eyed in shock and horror as she watched as Kuzuki was consumed in an explosion and fell to the ground. Like before rage began to boil up from within her and with a surge of magic cast both Hercus and Ketaros aside, before she could continue however her attention was grabbed when Caster felt a hand grab size her by the shoulder and pulled her back, finding herself face to face with Caucasus.
The yellow Rider glared at her for a few seconds before he suddenly tossing his blue rose into the air, a shower of petals raining down around them as he backhanded the Servant of the Spell, forcing her back before quickly following this up by striking her two more times before delivering a kick that knocked her back on to the ground.
With the robed woman down Caucasus reached down and touching the palm of his hand against the horn of the Kabuto shaped device on the side of his belt, pressing it down before releasing it. "Rider…Kick…"
MAXIMUM RIDER POWER
The silver devise suddenly began to crackle with energy that spread up Caucasus's body, gathering in the horns of his mask and the blue lenses of his eyes momentarily flashed before he aimed a sparking foot at Caster, catching her in the chest causing her to radiate with crackling energy before a large explosion consumed her.
The explosion quickly dissipated to reveal Caster laying there, her body protesting in agony Caster pushed herself onto her side and looking up she found that not only was Caucasus standing he was joined by Hercus and Ketaros, all three of them stepping aside to allow Diend to stand before her, the sound of footsteps catching her attention she found that TheBee, Drake, Sasword and Gatack were also approaching.
"Well, that was fun." Diend said before he once again pointed his weapon at the fallen Servant. "Now, let's try this again. Where is my treasure?"
Caster glared defiantly at the group of Riders who stood over her. "Πανάθεμά σε." She muttered.
Suddenly something caught the Servant and the Rider's attention, looking over they noticed that a portion of the air a short distance away from them began to ripple and shimmered, from which several creatures emerged, they had a vaguely cocoon like design to their bodies covered with portions of their underbelly coloured green whilst behind them was a much larger creature, this one being red and was boar like in appearance.
Whilst Caster had no idea what these creatures were Diend recognised them as Elementary Inves and an evolved Inoshisi Inves from the World of Gaim.
Seeing these new opponents all nine of the Zect Riders moved into engage the Inves, whilst most of them moved towards the Elementary Inves, Hercus, Ketaros and Sasword tried to take on the Inoshisi Inves only to find themselves tossed aside. The large red creature letting out a guttural cry before charging in the direction of Diend who was still standing over Caster.
Seeing the evolved Inves come charging in his direction Diend took out a new Rider Card, another yellow backed one, and slipped it into the Diend Driver before pointing it at the incoming Inoshisi Inves.
FINAL ATTACK RIDE:…
In front of the barrel of his weapon dozens of cards made from glowing blue energy creating several rows that rotated in different directions. Moments later the Zect Riders that Diend had previously summoned cried out as they were transformed into glowing energy cards that were quickly added to the rotating rows.
…D…D…D…DIEND…
Pulling the trigger Diend fired a beam of blue energy at the charging Inoshisi Inves, the creature letting out a bellowing cry as the attack punched through its body that crackled with energy before exploding, taking the Elementary Inves along with it.
No sooner had the Inves dealt with Diend was suddenly knocked sideways when something struck him, turning round he found himself face to face with Kuzuki once more. The most of the assassin turned teacher were in tatters and he looked worse for wares after taking KickHopper's Rider Kick.
"Oh, you're alive." Diend said as he ducked out of another of Kuzuki's strikes. "Hmmm, seems things have suddenly gotten a little too hot for my liking." Aiming his weapon at the stone faced man he then fired several shots in his direction, causing him to back off. Diend took the opportunity to load up one last Rider Card.
ATTACK RIDE: INVISIBLE…
"Jaa ne." He said before he vanished from view, acting quickly Kuzuki aiming his hand at the spot where he had been moments before trying to strike him down but only to find empty air.
From her spot a beaten, confused and frustrated Caster picked herself up off of the ground, her aching body protesting as she did so, a frown marring her face as she contemplated the events that had transpired here and earlier that day and what it could mean going forward.
First Decade and now Diend, the two of them were wild cards in this Holy Grail War who may just have blown the Ritual wide open with their presence.
AN And with that another chapter is in the can. Yeah, December has come around once again, time sure has flown by. Personally it doesn't feel like it was all that long ago that I posted the first entry in this little project but here we are, approaching the end of 2022.
So yeah, this was the chapter based on Kamen Rider Decade which also happened to guest starred most of the Rider's from Kamen Rider Kabuto minus Kabuto himself. Obviously this one was a little different then the other chapters in this series that have been posted so far, the previous ones had Shirou take over the role of the titles series' main Rider however in this Shirou isn't replacing Tsukasa as Decade, rather its more like Tsukasa and Kaitou just happen to drop by the world on which the Holy Grail War happens to take place.
Also here's a fun fact for you all, Kabuto was the very first show I ever watched when I got into watching Kamen Rider. Actually now that I think about it a Fate/Kabuto crossover story might be interesting to read, also another one that no ones attempted to write so far.
Given that the Holy Grail War involves secrecy and you can't be sure whether someone could be an enemy Master, on top of that you include the Worms who are a species of shape shifters predators that can perfectly mimic someone down to the smallest detail. And that's not even getting into the shadowy motives of ZECT.
Throw it all together I can just imagine a scenario where Shirou is just super paranoid about everyone and everything as he has no idea who he can trust.
Getting back on the subject of Decade however, I hope you enjoyed how this one. Kaitou being a treasure hunter it just made logical sense that he'd be interested in acquiring the Holy Grail which would more then likely bring him into conflict with the participants of Grail War, in this case Caster and Kuzuki although I did briefly toy with the idea of him going up against Kirei and Gilgamesh. Then again going up against them probably wouldn't end well for Kaitou.
Also as was pointed out by Caster, Tsukasa is also present in Fuyuki and has been mixing it up with Shirou's group.
So yeah, thats all I've got for now. Before I sign off however from time to time some of you will send suggestions for potential chapters and since I enjoy reading your comments I figured I'd try something. I'm going to suggest a Kamen Rider show and you can can feel free to send me either a review or a PM with suggestions as to how it could go. This could also help me get some ideas for future chapters as well as how to incorporate certain Riders, that kinda the reason I've not written chapters based on shows like Kuuga, Drive and Ex-Aid.
So for the inaugural entry in this little thought experiment, how would a crossover story between Fate/Stay Night and Kamen Rider Fourze play out?
When it comes to Fourze the only thing I can think of off the top of my head is to go full High School AU but all the magic stuff from Fate still exists. Sounds a little wild but then again Japan seems to love setting stuff in a high school, doesn't seem to matter whether its a mundane slice of life story or if its about zombie's, occult stuff, post apocalyptic fight for survival, alien invasions or giant mecha, they will find a way to also make it a high school drama.
So, getting back in topic, Artoria in this scenario is a teenage girl who attends Homurahara Academy along with Shirou, Rin and Sakura but is also the reincarnation of Arthur Pendragon and is handy with a sword. How this would work could be done in two different ways, either you could have Artoria and the other Servant characters be reincarnations of their past selves or you have it like how Jeanne D'arc was handled in Fate/Apocrypha where you have a Heroic Spirit inhabiting a human body.
Either way most of Servant characters as well as Fate would be present and would fill the stereotypical roles that you'd expect to see inna High school drama. Artoria is the captain of the cheerleading squad. Cu is the school delinquent. Medea and Medusa are the goth girls. EMIYA is one of the teachers Kirei is the principle and Gil is the superintendent. Not sure what to do with Kojiro though.
Oh and yes, Shirou and the others would do "UCHUU KITTA", except for EMIYA he'd refuse to do it but you know that eventually he'd cave right at the end and would he join in with the others.
Also before I go I'm happy to report that the chapter based on Kamen Rider W is finished and I'm working on the chapters based for Zi-O as well as one I hop will be ready real soon.
And with that I'm done. Feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you all thought of this chapter and I'll see you all for the next chapter which should be up after Christmas and just before New Years.
Till next time, peace out y'all
