Chapter ?: Fresh Blood Temple (Blood Fort Andromeda)
Mirrors facing each other create an infinite number of worlds.
There is more than one fate.
The only thing that's the same is desire.
All humans desire. That's why they fight.
And when that desire becomes so great that it becomes unbearable, people... become Masters/Riders.
The Holy Grail War/Rider War... begins
Emiya Shirou felt his heart pounding painfully against his chest as he ran full speed towards his destination, the halls of Homurahara Academy a blur as he tore through them.
A short time ago he'd been talking with Tohsaka Rin about what their next course of action in both the Holy Grail and Rider War should be when it had happened, all of a sudden a shimmering barrier made of crimson energy activated and covered the circumference of the school's ground, sealing it and cutting the area off from the outside.
Immediately Tohsaka recognized it as the Boundary Field that had been put in place by Matou Shinji and his Servant Rider which, according to her, would drain every last drop of Prana from the Homurahara student body and teaching staff, a process that would kill them all in the process.
Just before the two of them could begin to consider what they should do next one of the culprits, Rider, suddenly appeared before them, bringing with her a message for the rust haired Rider.
"Emiya Shirou, my Master requests your presence." The blindfold bedecked Servant said in her usual monotone voice, momentarily shifting her head over towards Tohsaka before looking back at him. "Also he strongly requests that you come alone, should you ignore this request there will be dire consequences."
Following these words Rider then held up her hand, in her fist she held a crimson coloured ribbon. It took Shirou a moment but in an instant he realized that he recognized the item that the Servant of the Mount held in her hand, his eyes widening as he realized that it belonged to and was usually found decorating the head of Matou Sakura.
"S…Sakura…" He exclaimed. "What's Shinji doing holding his own sister hostage? Is she hurt?"
"She is safe…for now, however whether she remains that way depends on you." Rider replied. "My Master is waiting for you, you will find him in the school yard." And with that Rider vanished into thin air, a faint sound of chimes filling the air as she did so.
"What are you waiting for Emiya, get going." Tohsaka spoke up, her tone strict. "Go deal with Matou. While you keep him busy I'll look to try and do something about this death trap that he's rigged up."
"T…Tohsaka…" He'd said, unsure about leaving her alone. "Are you sure about this?"
"Of course, I am a first rate Mage in case you forgot." She'd replied, flipping a loose strand of hair out of her face as she'd done so. "Now get going already, even you shouldn't have any problems dealing with a weakling like Matou."
"R…right…" Shirou replied, turning on his heel and began to head off, he'd barely gotten a few steps when something made him stop in his tracks.
"Emiya…" Tohsaka spoke up again, hearing her voice making Shirou stop and look back over at her. Her features and her tone had then suddenly softened. "Sakura-san, take care of her ok. She's not like us, she doesn't deserve to be caught up in all this."
These words had caught Shirou off guard, never had he expected to hear those words exist Tohsaka's lips, especially not in regards to Sakura. Was he missing something, far as he knew Tohsaka and Sakura ran in completely different circles with no overlap. Plus never in all the time he had known her had Sakura ever mentioned being associated with Tohsaka.
Could the two of them have been friends at some point, that made some sense to him. Maybe the two of them had had some kind of falling out and that's why they don't talk anymore, whatever it was he got the impression that it was something that Tohsaka deeply regretted but something was holding her back, preventing her from reaching out to Sakura again. Nerves maybe? Fear?
Knowing that now was not the time to delve into this Shirou bid Tohsaka good luck and was soon on the move. Moving as fast as he it didn't take him long before he was out of the school building and out into the open air, the sky tainted by the light of the late afternoon, before long he found his way to the school yard, the same location where not too long ago he found Archer and Lancer fighting each other which in turn had drawn him haphazardly into the Holy Grail War.
Standing out in the middle of the yard were several figures. The first were the Matou siblings, Shinji had an arm wrapped tightly around the upper torso of Sakura who was staring at the ground with a look of both discomfort and shame on her face, whilst in his other hand he was holding a sizable looking knife.
Standing beside them, unsurprisingly, was Rider, the lavender haired Servant sporting her usual blase look on her face as she stood there as motionless as a statue.
However, among them was someone that Shirou had not expected to see. Tojo Satoru, fellow Homurahara student and participant of the Rider War as Kamen Rider Tiger. What was he doing here, he'd not been seen since the death of Shibaura Jun so why was he reappearing now?
As he pondered this a thought suddenly popped into Shirou's head. 'Wait, Tojo…did Shinji convince you to work with him?' He grimaced. 'Wait, wouldn't them working together violate the agreement that Kanzaki and Kotomine came to? What could Shinji possibly offer Tojo to convince him to work together?'
Knowing that he'd get no answers by just standing there Shirou did his best to squash any hesitation that he might be feeling and made his way towards the small party of four, the sound of his hurried footsteps catching their attention as three of the four all looked over in his direction.
"S…senpei…" Sakura muttered as the rust haired teen drew closer.
"There you are Emiya," Shinji sneered. "I was beginning to wonder if you'd ever show up, that maybe my dear baby sister didn't mean all that much to you after all."
"Shinji…" Shirou's eyes narrowed as he shifted his gaze over at Sakura who immediately shifted hers away from him, a look of shame plastered on her face. "Let Sakura go right now."
"Now why would I do that, especially since I can use her to get you to do what I want." Shinji replied flippantly, tightening his grip around Sakura as he did so, the purple haired girl letting out a grunt of discomfort. "You don't know a whole lot about leverage, do you old friend."
"Matou, hurry this up." Tojo spoke up, his tone blunt as he shot a steely gaze in Shirou's direction. "I'm getting tired of waiting."
Shinji let out a goan. "Geez, just chill out for a moment. I'm getting there." He told his bowl haired ally. "Some people just have no patience."
"Tojo, you know the agreement that Kanzaki and Kotomine struck was that the participants in the Rider War and Holy Grail War were to stay clear of each other. So why are you helping Shinji." Shirou demanded. "What do you stand to gain by teaming up with someone like him?"
"You're one to talk to Emiya, given all the palling around you've done with Tohsaka Rin." Tojo said coolly. "And don't get the wrong idea, Matou and I aren't all of a sudden best buddies. However we do have one thing in common, we both hate you."
"Ok, I think that's enough talk." Shinji said, he then pointed the knife in Shirou's direction. "Here's the deal Emiya, you're going to fight Tojo and Rider, if you can best them I'll let you and Sakura go, no questions asked."
Shirou's frown deepened, he really didn't want to play Shinji's game. However, given what was at stake, he knew that he had no choice. "What about the Bounded Field, will you also have Rider shut it off?" He shot back.
Shinji sighed. "Fine, I'll have Rider shut it off." He replied. "'If' you win of course. However, don't expect us to make it easy for you Emiya." He then glanced over at his associate. "Tojo, you're up."
Tojo shot Shinji and cold glare as he then pulled out his Advent Deck and thrust it forward, a V Buckle then appearing around his waist.
"Henshin…" He announced before he slid his Advent Deck into the slot located at the front of the V-Buckle. Moments later three images overlaid themselves on top of his that merged together to create his black bodysuit and silver armor with blue detailing, shoulder armor sporting three claw-like spikes on both sides and the triple slitted visor that adorned his helmet giving him a fierce look.
From her spot Sakura's eyes widened as Tojo transformed and her breath caught in her throat as a look of shock spread across her face, clearly she'd been unaware of Tojo's status as a Kamen Rider.
Shooting the purple haired girl another look, Shirou then pulled out his own Advent Deck and summoned his own V-Buckle before crossing his left arm across his chest. "Henshin…" He announced before he too slotted his Advent Deck into his V-Buckle, the three images overlaying themselves on top of his to create the armor of Kamen Rider Ryuki.
If Sakura had been shocked by Tojo transforming into Tiger, she was even more taken aback by Shirou's transformation into the red clad Dragon Warrior. "S…Senpei…"
Reaching down, Ryuki slid a card out of his Advent Deck and slid it into the Dragvisor mounted onto his left arm and slid it closed.
SWORD VENT…
A nearby window began rippling before something shot of it, Ryuki effortlessly snatching it out of the air revealing it to be a Chinese style longsword. At the same time Tiger had produced his Destvisor, that blade of his vicious looking axe glinting in the red tinted light of the dying sun.
"Don't disappoint me Emiya, I want you to fight with everything you have." The silver Rider said. "That way, when I kill you, there will be no doubt that I am the true hero of the Rider War."
With that said he then charged towards Ryuki, swinging his weapon at the Dragon Rider who barely had enough time to dodge out of the way, the blade of Tiger's axe cleaving the air where he had been standing only moments before.
Tiger let out a low sounding growl as he turned his head in Ryuki's direction before turning his body to face his opponent and slashed at him again, the red clad Rider responding by raising his Dragsaber and managing to block it, a clang of metal striking metal ringing out through the mostly empty area.
"That's it Tojo, keep it up." Shinji practically cackled gleefully as he watched as the two Riders engaged one another, "Show Emiya what he gets for getting in our way."
Sakura however didn't share her brother's enthusiasm, had her eyes closed, not wanting to watch as again and again Ryuki and Tiger's weapons collided with one another. "...stop…" She muttered in a small voice. "...stop it…stop it…"
Turning his attention away from the two Riders, Shinji looked over at Rider, the lavender haired Servant standing there as still as a statue. "Don't just stand there Rider," He barked at her. "Get in there."
"Very well." Rider replied blandly, the lavender haired antihero then dashed towards the two fighting Riders.
As the group of Riders, both Advent Riders and the Servant of the Mount, fought it out, in another part of the school Tohsaka Rin was having trouble of her own as she dashed through the corridors, firing off several Gandr shot at the hoard of Dragontooth familiars that was on her trail.
After parting ways with Shirou, the Tohsaka Heiress's had decided that going after the sigils that allowed the Bounded Field currently encased the school would be the best idea, possibly disabling or at the very least weakening it would be the best course of action.
She'd been on her way to the schools library which had been one of the location where she she and Shirou had located one of the sigils when several of the bony warriors had spawned into existence, not being helpless she'd done her best to deal with the Familiars however soon enough the sheer number of them became too much for her to deal with, leaving her with no
'Damnit, these things just keep coming…' The dark haired Magus inwardly growled as she glanced over her shoulder at her pursers.
The smart thing to do would be calling Archer and have him assist her, however that would mean using a Command Seal and she only had one remaining. Using it would mean her exit from the Holy Grail War. Glancing over at her left hand she eyed her lone Command Seal, the sight of which brought a grimace to her face.
Did her pride as a Magus really trump her own life?
No, even if she was staring death in the face and even if she had a hundred Command Seals there was no way she'd ask that jerk for help, she could just picture the look his face was he rubbed in the fact that she had to call in him to get him out of this jam.
Digging into the pocket of her coat the dark haired Magus pulled out one of a gem that was charged with one of here more powerful spells, muttering a string if words in German as she did so, the item in her hand began to emanate a light that steadily grew brighter and brighter, before she threw it towards the hoard that was pursuing her where it suddenly shattered and unleashed a burst of energy accompanied by a bright light which vaporized the Dragontooth Familiars.
"Yosh, that should take care of them for a while." Rin said to herself. "I can take care of myself no problem." Channeling prana into her legs Rin increased her pace, knowing that the Familiars would most likely regenerate eventually putting as much distance between herself and them as possible before that happened.
After running through the corridors as quickly as she could for a few minutes Rin slowed down to her regular speed, confident that she'd put enough distance between her and the Familiars, she began mulling over what her next move should be.
Obviously taking out the sigils that powered the Bounded Field was still the power, however if she wanted to start in the schools library she'd have to take a sizable detour to get there so as not to run into the pack of Familiars that she'd just escaped from.
Seeing that a corner was coming up Rin practically skidded to a halt as she rounded it, no sooner had she done so the dark haired Tohsaka was met by the sight of something that brought her to a dead stop.
Standing there, clad in his black bodysuit and purple snake themed armor, was someone that she hadn't expected to run into, Asakura Takeshi aka Kamen Rider Ouja, standing amongst the broken remains of several Dragontooth familiars, holding his Venosaber in one of his hands.
"A…Asakura…" She exclaimed, the sight of the purple snake Rider causing her heart to skip a beat and her breath to catch in her throat.
The memory of Shibaura Jun's death was burned into her memory, the sight of Ouja standing there in the aftermath, his Contract Monster Venosnaker looming over him, letting out a venomous hiss.
Little did Rin realize that she'd been louder than she'd intended, only realising when Ouja suddenly turned to look at her. "Ohhh, it's you…" The convicted murderer growled in a sinister tone. "The vexing girl…"
"I'm really vexed right now, I came here for sensei but I can't find him." Ouja growled, pointing his Venosaber at Rin as he began to move towards her, Rin in turn began taking steps backwards, trying to keep her distance from him. "You'll do…"
Cursing to herself Rin pointed her finger at Ouja and fired off several Gandr shots at the snake Rider who blocked each of them with his Venosaber as his pace increased and he was soon charging at her, quickly closing the gap between them.
Raising his weapon Ouja tried to slash at Rin with his spiraled blade, flooding her body once more flooded her body with Prana to increase her speed and reaction time, she managed to avoid being down by the sadistic Rider, something that only served to further infuriate him.
Ducking out of the way of another of the escaped cons slashes Rin quickly reached into her coat and produced another of her Gems, as before muttering an incantation as she did so before she tossed it at Ouja, closing her eyes and turning her head as she did so.
No sooner had she tossed it the gem began to emit a soft light that quickly grew in brightness before suddenly giving off a powerful flash of light, one bright enough to cause Ouja to cry out as his vision suddenly turned white.
Not wasting a second Rin dropped low and managed to slip past the stunned purple Rider, once again in the move as she dashed away from him as quickly as she could, having no desire to be in the same place as the convicted murderer longer then she had to be.
Meanwhile the whiteness that filled Ouja's vision began to fade as his vision returned to normal. As he blinked a few times the sound of hurried footsteps caught the snake Rider's attention and turning his head he saw the retreating form of Rin as she got further away from him.
"You…you…" He snarled venomously, letting out a loud cry he then charged after the fleeing Magus, "Get back here…"
Hearing the purple Riders cry and footsteps, Rin cursed to herself as once more he found herself running for her life with a pursuer hot on her trail. "Damnit damnit damnit…"
Back outside in the yard Ryuki cursed under his breath as he narrowly managed to duck under the way of another kick aimed at him by Rider, the Servant of the Mount was just as agile and deadly as he remembered her being from their first encounter.
However, no sooner had he managed to avoid being hit by Rider he quickly found himself being set upon by Tiger, the silver and blue Rider slashing him across the back with his axe which in turn knocked Ryuki forward, setting him up perfectly for Rider to strike in in the chest, the blow sending knocking him to the ground as well as his weapon out of his hand and sending it skidding across the ground and out of his reach.
Groaning Ryuki pushed himself up onto his side, panting heavily as he did so. "Come on Emiya, don't disappoint me." He heard Shinji call out to him, "I want to see you struggle before Rider puts you down."
"Shinji…" Ryuki muttered to himself, shaking his head and shakily got back up to his feet, as he did so he took a quick glance around him and noticed his Dragsaber lying on the ground a few feet from him.
Before he could make a move to retrieve it however Tiger was upon him once more, the big cat themed Rider swinging wildly at him with his axe, forcing Ryuki to quickly give up on retrieving his sword and instead keep himself from getting cut down by the enemy Rider.
Stepping out of the way of another of Tiger's attempts to cut him down, Ryuki reached out and grabbed ahold of part of the Desvisor's handle, doing his best to push down on it and keep Tiger from trying to use it on him again before he then lashed out at him with his other fist and managed to catch him in the side of his helmet, the force of the punch snapping Tiger's head sharply to the side.
Releasing his hold on Tiger's weapon, Ryuki followed his punch up with several more, managing to knock Tiger to the ground, no sooner had he managed this Rider once once more upon him, the lavender haired Servant lashing out at his legs with one of her long toned legs, kicking Ryuki to the side and sending him skidding for several feet before be managed to catch himself.
Straightening up Ryuki turned to face Rider, the lavender haired Servant looking back at him, her face never shifting from its stoic expression. "Ok, let's see how you like this…" The red Dragon Rider said as he slid open his Dragvisor before he then reached down towards his Advent Deck and drew a new card from it.
From his position Tiger noticed this, pushing up the handle of the Destvisor upwards causing the tiger head that rested on the top to slide upwards to reveal the card slot, copying his opponents action he too drew a new card at the same time that Ryuki slid his card into his Dragvisor and slid it closed.
STRIKE VENT…
A window of the nearby building shimmered and in a flash of light emerged from it and appearing on Ryuki's right wrist appeared a gauntlet that was shaped like his Contract Monsters head, flames gathering in its jaws.
As the Red Dragon Rider thrust the gauntlet forward in an attempt to scorch Rider, Tiger slid his card into a slot in the side of his Destvisor and pulling the handle of his weapon down slid it closed.
FREEZE VENT…
Just as the flames that had been launched from Ryuki's gauntlet were about to engulf Rider there was a rush of cold air that extinguished them. "W…what…" Ryuki exclaimed.
For a moment Rider regarded the red clad figure that stood a short distance away from her before suddenly vanishing from view only to reappear before him mere moments later, driving a fist into his gut that sent him once again sprawling towards the ground.
Grunting as his body ached in protest, Ryuki pushed himself up into a seated position, as he did so the sound of clanking heels caught his attention and looking up he was greeted by the sight of Rider walking towards him.
"I must commend you, you are indeed a stubborn one." The Servant of the Mount said to the fallen Rider whom she towered over.
Ryuki glared at her from behind his helmet. "Fuck you." He retorted, trying to hide the pain in his voice.
"Rider, what are you doing?" The sound of Shinji's voice was heard. "Quit fooling around and finish him off already…"
Hearing her Master's orders the lavender haired Servant stooped down and seized Ryuki by one of the straps connected to his chest plate before rising back up to her full height. She then leaned her head forward to where Ryuki's ear would be. "The fight is over, I acknowledge you as the victor of our bout." she whispered into his ear.
Ryuki's eyes widened behind his helmet, he'd not expected her to say that to him. "W…what…" He exclaimed.
Before he could say anything else, Rider suddenly spun on her heel and tossed the red Dragon Rider in the direction where Shinji and Sakura were located.
"Ha ha ha, excellent Rider," Shinji smirked as he watched as Ryuki hurtled in his Sakura's direction. "But no more games, I expect you to kill this pathetic upstart. Make him pay for thinking that he was superior to me."
As he flew towards them, Ryuki twisted in midair, the smug look on the purple haired boy's face shifting into a look of horror as he saw that the red Dragon Rider had a new Advent Card in his hand that he then slipped into his Dragvisor and slid it closed.
ADVENT…
The surface of one of the windows from the nearby school building began to ripple like water and from it Dragredder emerged from it, the biomechanical creature letting out one of its metallic sounding screeches as it flew through the air.
Shifting its gaze towards the ground below, the long bodied creature noticed the pair of figures standing in the direction where his contract holder was thrown in. Letting out another screech flames gathering in its jaws that it then unleashed as a barrage of fireballs that struck the ground that surrounded both Matou siblings, moments later Ryuki collided with them and all three were sent sprawling to the ground
Gritting his teeth at the aching pain that he felt through his body Shinji pushed himself up, as he did so he glanced around and he noticed that the knife that he'd been holding to Sakura's throat was resting a short distance away from him, however that wasn't all as also lying on the ground was an odd looking leather bound book. Both items lying there out of the seaweed haired teens' reach.
All of a sudden Shinji felt something seize him by the shoulder before he was forcefully turned round where he saw a red fist come rushing towards him before it struck him across his cheek, knocking him back down to the ground.
As she shook her head a loud cry caught Sakura's attention, quickly looking over in its direction she was greeted by the sight of Ryuki who had seized Shinji by the collar and had pulled him up to eye level. The red Dragon Rider once again wielding his Dragsaber, slowly raising the weapon up to point the tip of it at her brother.
It was then as she took this sight that she noticed something, she noticed that the hand in which Ryuki's sword was held was shaking.
"Senpei," She called out, the sound of her voice catching the red clad Rider's attention, turning his head in her direction he saw her gazing at him he found him looking at him with pleading eyes. "Senpei, please stop…"
After a few moments Ryuki looked away from her, turning his attention back to the panicked looking Shinji whom he had by the collar, behind his helmet his eyes narrowed as he glared at the trembling teen before he tossed him to the ground.
"Shinji, get out of here." Ryuki said in a stern tone, glaring down at the prone form of the purple haired youth. "This is your one warning, if I see you again I'll make you pay for what you did here today."
Trying to hide the pain that resulted in his colliding with the concrete coated ground, Shinji glared at both Ryuki and Sakura before quickly scrambling to his feet and made a dash towards the spot where the Tome of False armaments lay.
"No more…" Sakura spoke up. "No more…NO MORE FIGHTING…"
Just as Shinji was about to snatch it off of the ground, all of the sudden the Tome of False Armaments was engulfed in flames, the arcane fire quickly reducing it to ashes. "No…no…" he cried out as he pawed at the pile of ashes that had been the boom that he had used to control Rider, as if he could somehow put it back together.
From his position Ryuki watched as the seaweed haired teen continued to run his hands through the pile of ash, all of a sudden he became aware of a bright glow coming from behind him.
Spinning round Ryuki was met by the sight of Sakura standing there, Rider all of a sudden having appeared at her side, the bright light radiating off of her that soon died away.
Rubbing the back of her left hand with her right, as she did so Ryuki briefly saw part of a red mark on the back of the purple haired girl's hand. "S…Sakura…" Ryuki exclaimed. "Don't tell me that you're a Master?"
Hearing him say these words caused Sakura's eyes to widen. "S…senpei, how do you know about that?" she stammered.
"Sakura, your Rider's Master aren't you?" Ryuki said, "But if that's true then why was Shinji pretending to be her Master?"
"He was merely a decoy, the Tome that he had acted as a medium giving him access to Sakura's Command Seals." Rider spoke up, sounding rather matter-of-fact. "Sakura has always been my one true Master."
"I don't get it," Ryuki said, fixing the purple haired teen with a hard stare. "Sakura, why would you agree to be part of this?"
"I…I didn't want to be involved, I have no wish that I want granted, however, as the representative for the Matou clan, I wasn't given much choice, I had to summon Rider." Sakura said, looking away so as not to meet the red Dragon Rider's gaze. "I'm weak and I don't have the conviction needed to be a proper Master. All I had to do was summon Rider and then Nii-san would take over the position, he clearly wanted to be involved more than I did."
Sakura's voice trailed off, biting her lip as she closed her eyes tight. "But…he couldn't supply Rider with the necessary Prana, she was constantly starving, all those innocent people she had to hunt down and drain just to sustain herself…" She continued, her voice filled with self loathing, "It's all my fault, all those innocent people got hurt because I'm so damn weak. I'm not like you Senpei, I'm not strong like you and Tohsaka-Senpei are."
Ryuki stared at Sakura, taken aback by what he had just heard. He'd known Sakura for years, or at least he'd thought that he knew her, and in all that time never had he suspected that she viewed herself in such a manner. "Sakura…"
"EMIYA…" All of a sudden a loud cry was heard and snapping his head to one side Ryuki, Sakura and Rider were met by the sight of Tiger, the silver and blue Rider was standing a short distance from them, his axe weapon clad fist tightly in his grip. "Emiya, you and I aren't done here."
"Tojo, knock it off already..." Ryuki responded, cursing at himself for forgetting that the other Rider War participant was still here. "The fight is over, Shinji is clearly in no position to continue, there's no point to keep fighting."
"I dont give a damn about Matou, to be honest I was planning on killing him once this was all over, the only thing that mattered was that he promised that he could lure you out for me." Tiger snarled, at the same time he reached down and drew a new card from his Advent Deck before sliding it into the slot in his Destvisor. "You and me Emiya, we're not done here until one of us is dead." Gripping the handle of his weapon he then pulled his card visor closed.
STRIKE VENT…
In a flash the deadly looking Destclaws, a pair of clawed gauntlets similar to those wielded by his Contract Monster, Destwilder, appeared and mounted themselves onto Tiger's forearms.
With a cry the Tiger themed Rider then charged at Ryuki, slashing at him wildly with his Destclaws, the red clad Rider barely managing to avoid being sliced by the deadly looking blades.
Managing to sidestep out of the way of another of the silver and blue Rider's attempts to slash him, Ryuki drew a new card from his Advent Deck and slipped it into his Dragvisor.
GUARD VENT…
In a flash the Dragshield, a tower shield shaped like a segment if Dragredder's underbelly complete with two small clawed arms, appeared in Ryuki's hand, raising it up he was just in time to block another of Tiger's attempts to slash at at him, something that only seemed to further infuriate him as he continued to hammer away at Ryuki.
"Senpei…" Sakura cried out as she watched as Ryuki tried to hold Tiger off. She needed to do something, after all Senpei was only in this situation because of her, but what? Then again what could she do, she knew there was no way that she could stand up to someone like Tojo. Damnit, Senpei could get seriously hurt or worse and it would be her fault.
Why, why did she have to be so damn weak?
"Sakura…" All of a sudden the sound of Rider's was heard, the lavender haired Servant of the Mounts voice next shifting from its usual flat tone despite sensing her Master's distress.
All of a sudden the purple haired Matou girl's eyes widened as the sound of her Servant's voice managed to cut itself through her fear and self doubt, her gaze shifting itself down to the crimson brand on her left hand and a serious look etched itself into Sakura's face.
"Rider, as your Master," She said, doing her best to keep her voice even. "I want you to help Senpei."
For her part Rider's face never shifted from her usual blank expression as her body tensed itself. "Very well, Master…" She said before she once again shot towards the two Riders locked in combat.
Beneath his helmet Ryuki was gritting his teeth as he did his best to hold off Tiger as the silver and blue continued to slash mercilessly away at his Dragshield, each blow he handed forcing him to back up by a step.
He needed to do something, to get on the offensive rather than just the defensive, if things continued on like this then it was only a matter of time until Tiger overwhelmed him.
That being said he still needed a way that would allow everyone to walk away relatively unscathed, despite how much of a psycho he was Shirou didn't want to kill Tojo, no one deserved to have their life thrown away as part of Kanzaki Shiro's little game.
A major flaw in that line of thinking was that it was a sentiment that his opponent, and the other Rider War participants didn't share however.
Just as Tiger was about to unleash another blow on him, all of a sudden a gust of air rushed past the Red Dragon Rider and Tiger was suddenly sent flying through the air a short distance before he came sprawling to the ground.
Much to Ryuki's further surprise was that all of a sudden he found himself staring at Rider's back, her long lavender locks flowing around her in the non existent breeze. "R…Rider…" He exclaimed. "Are you helping me?"
"That is correct," The Servant of the Mount replied. "I am acting on the wishes of my Master."
Snarling in frustration, Tiger picked himself up off of the ground. "Damn bitch…" He fumed, glaring in Rider's direction, Ryuki quickly emerging from behind her.
"Tojo, one more chance. Just surrender already." Ryuki said as he took his place alongside Rider. "This fight is over, there's no point in continuing."
"Emiya, I already told you, this doesn't end until one of us is dead." Tiger growled, his Destclaws vanishing and his Destvisor reappeared. Sliding the top open he then drew a new card and slid it into the card slot and pulled the Visor closed. "You, me, one of us dies today."
ADVENT…
All of a sudden a loud feral roar that echoed through out the area rang out, moments later a blur of white and blue shot past Ryuki and knocked him to the ground, Rider managing to narrowly avoid this by leapting up and out of the way and landing a short distance away.
Shaking his head Ryuki looked up and found that standing above him was Destwilder, an humanoid Mirror Monster that somewhat resembled a white tiger with a pair of cold yellow eyes that were locked upon the Red Dragon Rider.
Letting out another snarl Destwilder lashed out at Ryuki who barely managed to backup enough to avoid being slashed by the Tiger themed Mirror Monster's vicious looking claws, this however did little to deter Tiger's Contracted Monster who continued to slash away at him.
As Destwilder pulled its claws back in preparation for another attempt to slice at him a thought suddenly popped into Ryuki's head, waiting for the Tiger themed Mirror Monster made another attempt at him with its claws the red clad Rider quickly front rolled forward, avoiding Destwilders claws and got quickly back up to his feet.
Readying his Dragshield Ryuki turned to face the white and blue Mirror Monster, however Destwilder proved to be quicker then he was expecting as it quickly spun round and slashed at Ryuki, managing to knock both his Dragsaber and Dragshield out of his grip before knocking the Red Dragon Rider off of his feet with another swipe of its deadly looking blades.
Grinning sadistically Tiger once more slid his Destvisor open and drew a new card from his Advent Deck. "It's been fun Emiya," He muttered as he slid his card into the card slot and pulled his Destvisor closed. "But now its time for you to die…"
FINAL VENT…
Destwilder let out yet another loud roar before lashed out at Ryuki again, aiming its clawed hand at him. Moments before the feline Mirror Monster's claws could make contact him Ryuki suddenly found himself begin shoved out of the way and glancing over he was once more met by the sight of Rider seconds before she was impaled on Destwilder's claws and knocked to the ground.
No sooner had Rider been brought down, Destwilder then launched itself forward, dragging her across the concrete in the direction of Tiger who assumed a wide legged stance as he spread his arms wide, his Destclaws reappearing on them, bringing his right arm forward whilst his left was angled slightly behind him.
As this was going on the sound of hurried footsteps was heard. "Stop it," Sakura cried out as she dashed to the silver and blue Rider. "Tojo-san, stop it now…"
"Sakura," Ryuki cried out as he watched as the purple haired girl dashed past, quickly scrambling to get back to his feet, "Sakura no…"
Sakura continued running, running with all she had she managed to reach Tiger and grab ahold of one of his clawed hands. "Tojo-san, Please stop…" She said to him a pleading tone.
Tiger however, with a sharp tug he pulled his arm free from her grip before he turned to face her, thrusting his right arm towards her, the air filled by a loud 'SHINK' that was accompanied by a large spurt of blood.
For a moment was still, as if time had ground to a halt. Beneath his helmet Shirou could only look on, wide eyed in shock and horror at the sight before him. The sight of Sakura impaled on Tiger's claws and blood oozed forth from her wounds. She coughed a few times, several splatters of blood escaping from her mouth and coated her chin, as her eyes dimmed and her life ebbed away.
"Sakura…" He stammered, his hand weakly outstretched in the now dead girls direction. "Sakura…SAKURA!"
TIME VENT…
AN Well erhm yeah, Merry Christmas everyone (although I guess we're closer to New Years at this point...) and my gift to all of you is Sakura's getting killed which I guess whether its a good gift or not is dependent on how you feel about her and for all of you who do like her don't worry, she'll get better (insert sadly yes, but I lived meme here).
So yeah for this installment we've come full circle back to where we started with another chapter based on the world of Kamen Rider Ryuki. Given that this chapter will be the final one for 2022 I figured what better way to book end things then to bring this little tale back to where we started all those months ago.
In this installment we got Blood Fort Andromeda and Shirou/Ryuki facing off against Shinji, Tiger and Rider plus finding out that Sakura is a Mage as well as being the true Master of Rider. Plus as an aside we have Rin having a run in with Ouja.
Given that its been a while since the first instalment I can imagine that some if you might be a bit confused as to what's going on. Tojo in this story is the same age as Shirou and Rin along with being a student at Homurahara Academy and was 'allies' with Shinji due to their mutual hated for Shirou.
As for Asukura and what's he doing, he snuck into Homurahara to look for Kuzuki and happened to get trapped inside the Blood Fort when it activated. To answer why Asukura was he was looking for Kuzuki, at this point in the story he's basically the only one who is aware that Kuzuki is Kamen Rider Abyss.
An idea I had to create a connection between the Fate and Ryuki characters was that Asukura could be a former student of Kuzuki's, the ex assassin being the one who taught him how to fight. For Kuzuki, Asukura is the closest thing he has to feeling regret as back then he could see that the kid was a total psycho, so his regret is more along the lines of "I regret not killing you when I had the chance".
Also Shinji's here and has been exposed as a fraud, also he's not Kamen Rider Scissors. From the scant amount of Fate/Ryuki material I've seen there seems to be a common thing to make Shinji into Scissors as so to killed him off in the same manner his counter part from the TV show, this is something that personally I'm not sure if I like. Don't get me wrong I don't like Matou Shinji as a character but regardless about how you feel about him he dose play pretty substantial role in each of the different routes so killing him off that early feels kinda wrong.
Plus I have plans for Shinji in this tale which involve him becoming a Rider, I'm curious if you can guess which one it is.
Well, that's me done for right now. Before I head out I wanna take a moment to thank everyone who contributed their ideas for a potential chapter based on Fourze, thanks to you I've now got a chapter idea in mind. What also got my creative juices flowing was going through the list of Zodiarts that showed up in Fourze and I noticed that there is a Hercules Zodiarts.
Anywho hope you all enjoyed the holidays, that you got some nice stuff and that you all spent time with your loved ones, that 2022 was good to you all and I'll see you all in 2023. As always feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you all thought of this chapter, I always love getting your feedback.
Till next time, peace out y'all...
