Fate/Stay Night x Kamen Rider Ryuki
Fate/Advent

Chapter ?: Dark Temptation

Mirrors facing each other create an infinite number of worlds.
There is more than one fate.
The only thing that's the same is desire.
All humans desire. That's why they fight.
And when that desire becomes so great that it becomes unbearable, people... become Masters/Riders.
The Holy Grail War/Rider War... begins

The blanket of night had once again spread itself across Fuyuki and the moon hung high amongst the inky blackness, the celestial body reflecting a cold light down upon the city's many buildings, be it residential homes and businesses both big and small.

One of these buildings in particular was located within the Foreigners District of Fuyuki, an area of the city that housed many western style buildings. This building was a sizable mansion of gothic and somewhat foreboding design, serving as the home to the Matou family.

Once upon a time, back when they had been known as the Makiri, they had been some of the greatest Magus's in Russia before relocating to Japan and one of the three founding families responsible for the ritual referred to as the Holy Grail War.

That however had been a long time ago, since then the Magic that had flowed through the clan members veins had run thin, leaving the once great family of Magi a shadow of what they once were, leaving the clans patriarch as the only truth Mage left in the family.

Within the residence itself all was quiet, the buildings occupants nowhere to be seen. Had any of the home's residents been in possession of a particular item they would have heard a peculiar ringing noise as the glass covered face of a grandfather clock began to shimmer and moments later in a flash a figure was standing in the hallway.

Standing there was a figure that resembled a teenage boy, a mop of rust coloured hair atop his head and a pair of golden eyes decorating his face, his body adorned in a white sweatshirt with blue sleeves and simple blue jeans.

Looking around him, 'Emiya Shirou' took stock of his surroundings. They were here, the voice that had called out to him and had been searching for, he could feel it.

"Well well, what do we have here?" An old and rather sinister sounding voice was heard. "I don't recall inviting you into my home."

Lulling his head to one side 'Shirou' was greeted by the sight of Matou Zouken, the wizen looking man who many might mistake for a corpse if they were to see him, staring at him from his place at the base of the staircase.

"Well well, the Emiya boy," The old man said. "I wonder, what brings you here boy. Not only that, how did you manage to get inside my home?"

'Shirou' didn't say anything in response, instead choosing to give him a narrowed eyed look and doing his best to keep his face impassive as he stared back at the ancient looking Magus who at present was rubbing his chin with an almost skeletal looking hand.

Zouken stared at this intruder who'd somehow managed to slip past the wards and magical defenses that surrounded the building and gain access to his home without being detected, something that he was certain only an Assassin class Servant was capable of.

That wasn't all however, he could feel the Crest Worms that made up his wizen form recoil in fear under the gaze of whatever it was that stood before him.

In his long life Zouken had been certain that there was nothing in the modern world that could surprise him, and yet standing before him was a person/creature whom he was unprepared for.

He had to admit he found this whole thing both intriguing and amusing.

"Hmmm, most curious. You look like the Emiya boy and yet…" Zouken said, sounding almost amused by the intruder that stood before him. "Tell me boy, just what are you?"

As he fixed his gaze upon Zouken, all of a sudden 'Shirou' felt a tingle like sensation in the back of his mind, backing up quickly he was just in time to avoid being impaled by a nail-like spike attached to a long chain.

Moments later Rider appeared at the foot of the staircase, the lavender haired Servant fixing the intruder with her usual look of sterness until all of a sudden her chain mounted spike weapon fell from her hands as she like she grabbed a hold of her head as a look of pain spread itself across her face.

"Wha…what is this…" The Servant of the Mount hissed through gritted teeth, she couldn't explain it but whoever this was it hurt her to look at them, like she had static in her brain. "What…what are you…?"

Just then the noise of a door being opened from the upper floor was heard. "Oji-san, I'm…" A voice was momentarily before their voice was suddenly cut off, glancing up and over both 'Shirou' and Zouken were greeted by the sight of Sakura clad in a silken robe and standing in an open doorway, her eyes locked upon 'Shirou' with a look of shock in her face.

"S…senpei, wh…what are you…" She stammered, clutching ahold of her robe and pulling it tighter around her as she said these words.

'Shirou' stared up at Sakura, his expression mirroring hers, slowly his eyes widened and the shocked look on his face melted away as it was replaced by a gleeful look. "You…it is you, I knew it. I knew you were here…" He said. "After all this time searching, I finally found you…"

His gaze fixed upon the purple haired girl, 'Shirou' took a few steps forward towards the staircase when all of a sudden Rider appeared before him, blood now oozing from her nose as she attempted to block his way.

"Oh, you still want to play, do you," 'Shirou' said, sounding rather amused, he then reached into his jeans and from his pocket he produced a gunmetal grey object from his pocket. "Ok, guess I can spare a few moments to play with you…"

Thrusting the object forward he revealed it to be an Advent Deck, the symbol emblazoned on it being that of a somewhat distorted image of a Dragon's head, and a V Buckle appeared around his waist.

"Henshin…" 'Shirou' declared before he slid his Advent Deck into the slot in the V Buckle, moments later a trio of dark images appeared and overlaid themselves over the top of him.

Standing there was a figure clad in a black body suit with black and gunmetal grey breastplate on his chest, as well as similarly colored pieces on his shoulders, forearms and hands, and his shins which also bore yellow detailing. His head covered by a gunmetal grey helmet with a black grilled armored faceplate vaguely resembling a Dragon's head viewed from above covered his head, while in the bright red eyes peeked out from the grill slits of the faceplate. He also wore mismatched gauntlets, his right arm bearing silver plating over his forearm and hand while a black and silver device mounted to his left wrist that was shaped like a Dragon's head.

As he stared at Rider the two bug-like lenses behind his visor suddenly lit up, glowing with an ominous red light.

Seeing this Zouken chuckled in amusement. "Oh, I see. You're one of Kanzaki's little errand boys." He chuckled. "I hope that you don't disappoint, the last one of your lot that my worthless grandson brought here proved to be too weak in the end…"

For a few moments there was no movement, from their positions both Rider and Ryuuga stared each other down waiting for the other to make the first move. All of a sudden Rider then tossed her nail weapon at Ryuuga's head, the Black Dragon Rider responding by tilting his head to the side to avoid it.

Undeterred Rider quickly followed this up by launching her other chain mounted nail at her opponent, Ryuuga this time responding by simply snatching it out of the air before the spike could reach him.

Taking hold of the length of chain Ryuuga gave it a sharp tug, managing to pull the Servant of the Mount off balance and towards him, once she was close enough he followed this up by striking her in the chest with a vicious punch, the blow causing Rider to back up a few steps.

And still Ryuuga didn't relent, delivering more punches to her face and body, his final blow sending the lavender haired Servant reeling backwards.

As the fight between Ryuuga and Rider played out both Zouken and Sakura watched on, their reaction however could not be more different. Sakura had a look of concern on her face, wincing each time Ryuuga's fist made contact. "Rider…" She gasped as the lavender haired Servant was knocked to the ground.

Zouken on the other hand was practically giddy as he watched the brief yet brutal exchange between both Rider and Ryuuga, the cruel looking smirk that looked to be almost etched into his wizen old face growing wider with each time the Black Dragon Rider's fist made contact with the Servant that he'd coerced his granddaughter into summoning.

Picking herself up off of the ground Rider panted heavily as she fixed her gaze upon Ryuuga before once again launching her nail at him, the Black Dragon Rider responding by leaping up and over Rider, twisting in midair as he passed overhead before landing back on the ground. As he straightened up he revealed a newly drawn Advent Card in his hand that he quickly slipped into his Dragvisor and slid it closed.

ADVENT…

A metallic sounding cry was heard and moments later Ryuuga's Contract Monster, Dragblacker, rushed straight towards Rider from above, catching her in its jaws before crashing through the wooden boards that covered the floor and vanished into the basement below where more crashing noises could be heard coming from below them.

With Rider dealt with, Ryuuga then turned towards the stairs and slowly began ascending them, pausing for a moment when he reached Zouken. Glancing over at the ancient Magus who merely glanced back at him, the look of amusement never leaving his wizen old face.

Regarding Zouken a few moments more Ryuuga then continued on up the stairs, making his way up to the second floor where he found Sakura still standing there,

"Yes, I finally found you. I searched all over this damn city, looking for you and here you are." The Black Dragon Rider said gleefully as he approached the purple haired girl. "I heard your voice, I heard you call out to me. You and I, we're the same. We both desire the same thing."

"S…senpei…" Sakura stammered, unsure of how to react to the Black clad Rider's words. "Senpei I…I…"

All of a sudden Ryuuga slammed his fist into the wall, creating a sizable dent in it. "I WASN'T TALKING TO YOU…" He snapped, his outburst causing Sakura to shrink in fear. Taking a few deep breaths Ryuuga then reached out towards Sakura. "It's alright, I didn't mean to scare you. Like I said, we're the same you and I. I can feel you, clawing to get out, to be free and you will. Don't worry, I'm here now, I'm here to set you free."

Just as his hand was about to brush against Sakura's cheek, tiny particles began to flake off of Ryuuga's body. Pulling his hand back Ryuuga watched as more particles dissolved off of his hand. "Damn…"

All of a sudden Dragblacker emerged from the hole that it had created, tossing Rider to the ground like a ragdoll and sending her bleeding and somewhat chewed form sprawling across the ground.

"Time to go…" Ryuuga said to himself, as he said these words he reached down and removed his Advent Deck from his V Buckle, his black armor vanishing from his form revealing the visage of Emiya Shirou, Sakura recoiling as she watched as small particles were dissolving off of his body.

Without saying a word 'Shirou' leapt over the banister and landed in the hall below and with Dragblacker following after him as he made his way back towards the grandfather clock, standing before it he looked back over at Sakura once more.

"Don't worry, I'll be back for you." He told her, his tone serious. "You will be free, I promise you that…"

And with that the glass covered face of the grandfather clock once again began to ripple and shimmer and in a flash of light both 'Shirou' and Dragblacker vanished as they both returned to Mirror World leaving Sakura and Zouken behind.

Snapping out of her state of stupor, Sakura quickly descended the stairs and ran over to Rider's side, checking on her wounds and asking the Servant what she could do to help.

Zouken on the other hand kept his gaze fixed upon the spot the Black Dragon Rider and his partner had vanished, a thoughtful look etched itself into his wizen face as the gears of his mind began turning as he did so.

At first he'd more or less dismissed these Riders as nothing important when Kotomine boy had made his announcement that confirmed their existence to the participants of the Holy Grail War, saying that both he and the one in charge of the Riders had come to an agreement that sides were to stay out of each other's way, far as he was concerned they were nothing more that an irritation.

The Tojo boy that his worthless grandson had seemingly allied himself with had done little to challenge that belief, his death only serving to reaffirm it.

However, in light of the events thar had transpired only moments ago, after observing the strange intruder, who mysteriously happened to resemble the Emiya boy, who had not only brazenly infiltrated his home and also managed to dispatch his granddaughter's Servant with relative ease he found himself beginning to question whether these Kamen Riders weren't so worthless after all.

Maybe, just maybe, there was indeed something in this modern world that could offer him some form of amusement.

AN Happy 2023 everyone and we kick the year off your getting more Ryuki and in this chapter we're introduced to the Fate/Advent version of Kamen Rider Ryuuga aka Dark Shirou.

In universe this particular instalment of would takes place a few chapters after the events of the previous one (see, I told you Sakura gets better) and although it wouldn't be Dark Shirou's first appearance, he would have shown up earlier but has just been mostly hanging around in the background, although this would be the first time we'd get to see him transform into Kamen Rider Ryuuga.

As for how he was able to go toe to toe with a Servant like Rider, especially with Sakura as her Master, there is a reason. Don't want to say what exactly cos its kind of a spoiler, all I'll say is that Ryuuga has ties to the corrupted Grail (and no, he's not Angra Mainyu)

Also for anyone who didn't figure out what Ryuuga is doing and might be confused as to why he snapped at Sakura only to then be nice to her, he's talking to Dark Sakura. Ryuuga's involvement would be how Dark Sakura gets introduced which ultimately results in the triumvirate of Dark Sakura, Dark Shirou/Kamen Rider Ryuuga and Saber ALTER and would be the main antagonists for much of the stories back half until their defeat which would coincide with the end of the Holy Grail War before transitioning into the end of the Rider War.

Also as I editing this I just realised that poor Medusa just can't catch a break in the stuff I've posted so far. In her first appearance she was defeated by Kiva, then she didn't get a turn to fight Den-O, last chapter she got impaled by Destwilder and now she's been beaten by Ryuuga. Don't worry best girl, I promise that next time you show up you won't be a punching bag.

That's more or less it chapter wise, this one was pretty straight forward. On a kinda related note I started watching Kamen Rider Geats, I'll admit I wasn't really all that interested in watching as I was put off by the whole Fortnite vibe it gave off (if you like Fortnite that's great but me personally I'm not into the whole online co-op thing) but recently I figured I'd give it a shot and I'll admit I'm kinda digging it and by the time I'm posting this I've gone through the first 10 episodes. I know that we're up to episode 17 so far but I'm waiting till episode 20 drops before catching up again.

Right now, as far ad I've watched, the show is still in its toy commercial phase (yes I know the whole show is essentially a giant toy commercial but it tends to be more so early on as that's when they throw all the gimmick at you) but from what little of the plot there's clearly a lot more with the Desire Grand Prix and the Jyamato then what's being been revealed right now. Also Trust Last is pretty bangin, its my favourite Rider theme song since REALxEYEZ and like Alive a Life it would also work really well as a Fate theme.

As for a potential Fate/Geats crossover chapter, not really sure right now given that only 17 episodes have aired so far and they'll obviously be more twists and turns to come before the show ends.

Obviously you can see parallels between the Desire Grand Prix and the Holy Grail War so rather then keep them separate you could have it so they're one and the same and the DGP participants who survive the initial round of the game get to summon a Servants that acts as a support for them.

As for the character, that's where things get a little tricky since Obviously the thought first would make Shirou Geats, given that he's the main Rider and thus will get all the shiny toys, however our boy isn't a smug asshole like Ace is, (he's also not an immortal being that has been around since ancient times) and character wise Shirou is a lot closer to Keiwa with his desire to save everyone.

However, since its pretty clear early on in the show that Ace has been going through the DGP for a while, something you could do to justify Shirou acting like Ace is that its all act that he puts on in front of other people to mask his real intensions and in privet he'd act more like who we know Shirou to be.

Since the show aired I've gotten several people ask me if I'd do a Fate/Geats crossover so in light of having sat down and finally watched the show I've given it some thought and came with a rough idea for one, not sure if its any good or not, but it goes like this…

In this senario Shirou is not the original Geats, originally Geats was Kiritsugu who fought in the DGP along side his Servant Tamamo-no-Mae (a fox themed Servant for a Kitsune themed Rider), the two of them finding an orphaned Shirou in the aftermath of an attack by a final boss level Jyamato and they took him in. Before passing away Kiritsugu gives Shirou his Desire Driver, Rider ID and command over Tamamo, entrusting them with the mission to learn the truth about the DGP and the Jyamato.

Once Shirou is old enough he starts competing in the DGP along side Tamamo and has been winning it, upon his victory he doesn't just reset the world but also time, going through the same period of time again and again for at least a decade, fighting the other DGP participants who have included Tiger, Issei, Sakura, Ayako and Shinji and having to watch them compete and get eliminated over and again.

As for Rin and her role in this, I see her being similar to Keiwa and Neon in that she would have been present at the end of the previous DGP before getting drawn would get drawn into the latest round of it, I could see her as a hybrid of the two of them, much like Keiwa she's pretty naïve to what's going at the start and like Neon she's got a pretty selfish wish (Rin's wish is to create a world where she obtains the secret of true magic) but gets more and more clued in the longer that she's involved with the Desire Grand Prix and help Shirou out in figure out what's the true purpose behind it all. Only thing that kinda unsure of in this scenario whether she'd be Tycoon or Nago.

All this going on under the watchful eye of the Game Master and the games sponsors all of whom would be Fate characters, one of which would be Artoria Pendragon who would also probably be Kamen Rider Glare, so yeah she'd be one of the villains in this story.

So yeah, that's my idea for a potential Fate/Geats crossover that I came up with in about in around 10 minutes. Like I said before I'm not sure if its good or not but its what I've got right now.

And with that I think that we're at a pretty good stopping point. Before I go I'm happy to report that the chapter for Zi-O is coming along. I've got a pretty solid idea of how the chapter plays out its just getting from point A which is the Fate stuff at the beginning and transitioning it to point B which is the stuff from Zi-O is proving to be a little more challenging them I first thought. Still I'm hoping to get it finished by the end of the month.

Not only that but I've got a pretty good idea for how to write a chapter based on Fourze, so look forward to that at some point.

As always, feel free to drop a comment and let me know not just what you thought of his chapter you thought on my potential Fate/Geats idea.

Till next time, peace out y'all.
