Chapter ?: Destiny's Play

Under his breath Shirou muttered a curse at just how out of hand things had become, what should have been a simple matter of dealing with the Fangire that had been operating in this area had pretty much gone straight to hell.

Just then the sound of something caught his attention, acting quickly he grabbed hold of Rin and pulled her to the ground, the two of them narrowly avoiding being smashed by a flying shipping crate as it flew past before it slammed into the side of a warehouse where it shattered into pieces of splintered wood.

"Tohsaka, are you ok?" Shirou asked his dark haired ally, rolling off of her and allowing her to sit up.

"I…I'm fine." Rin replied, eyeing the shattered debris of the wooden item that had come close to hitting them. "Damn, that was too close…"

Shirou didn't answer her, instead turning to look in the direction the crate had come from, in doing so he bore witness to the chaos that was unfolding before him as four of the seven Servants were currently duking it out.

At present Archer was engaged with Lancer, the two of them seemingly eager to pick up where they'd left off following their first fight at Homurahara Academy, their respective weapons colliding with one another again and again.

"Awesome, awesome," Lancer said gleefully, a smirk on his face as pulled back to avoid being slashed by one of Archer's swords, "I've been so looking forward to fighting you again Archer. Aside from Saber, you might be the only one who's gotten me this pumped."

"I admit I too was anticipating the same thing, Lancer. The way things ended at Homurahara was rather unsatisfactory." Archer replied, both of his swords held out before him as he prepared to "That being said, the timing of this encounter is rather problematic. What are you and Rider even doing here anyway?"

"What, you're not happy to see me? And here's me thinking that there was a real spark between us." Lancer replied, his tone filled with mock hurt. "What does it matter why I'm here, let's just enjoy ourselves for as long as we can. Especially after that greasy haired guy practically insisted on me to be here. Why sweat the small stuff."

Hearing Lancer say this gave Archer a moment of pause, cocking an eyebrow. "Greasy haired guy…?" He muttered to himself.

Saber meanwhile had her sights set on Rider, her wind encased sword cleaving the air as she swung it at the lavender haired women who in turn was managing to stay ahead of Saber's attempts to slash her.

A cry escaping from her, Saber aimed a horizontal slash at her opponent Rider back flipped out of the way to avoid it, as her momentum carried her Rider launched one of her chain mounted nails in Saber's direction who quickly raised her blade to block the incoming nail.

Having blocked the incoming spiked weapons, Saber moved to engage Rider again, slashing at her opponent several times with her wind coated, each time rendered ineffective as Rider was easily able to avoid them.

"Slow, you're far too slow." Rider commented as she avoided another attempt by Saber to slash her. "Your physical strength is greater than mine, however strength is worthless if you're too slow to hit your target."

"Silence Rider," Saber growled in retort, her opponent's monotone way of speaking serving to frustrate her, "I do not need combat advice from the likes of you."

All of a sudden the air that concealed the blond Servant's sword began to billow and swirl more intensely. With a cry Saber swung her sword in Rider's direction, sending a powerful blast of air at her opponent who jumped up into the air to avoid it out of the way, twisting in midair before landing atop a shipping container.

"I must say I find you rather underwhelming as an opponent. After hearing about the attributes of the Saber Class I was expecting more." The lavender haired Servant of the Mount continued, "Your Master on the other hand, I must admit I find him rather interesting."

"Shirou…" Saber said, momentarily taken aback by Rider's words before her usual stern look re-established itself, "You stay away from him. Unless you wish to answer to my blade."

"I wonder, will your Master use that interesting power of his," Rider told her blond haired opponent, unphased by Saber's attempt to intimidate her, "The one he demonstrated during our first encounter."

"What are you talking about?" Saber retorted. "What do you mean by 'interesting power' that Shirou has?"

Rider cocked her head to the side, surprised by Saber's answer. "Are you not aware?" Rider said, her monotone way of speaking only served to infuriate Saber further. "The secret your Master is hiding from you, you have no idea?"

"I'm not in the mood for games, Rider." Saber snapped. "Answer me. What could you possibly know about my Master that I do not?"

Before anything more could be said, all of a sudden loud boom filled the air as something large dropped down from above, the impact of its landing kicking up a sizable cloud of dust. The suddenness of it brought the fighting between Archer and Saber with their respective opponents to an immediate halt as they turned their attention to where the impact had originated.

As the dust settled the duo of Master and the quartet of Servants were greeted to the sight of the hulking form of Berserker, the large dark skinned demigod clutching his large stone sword/axe, while Illya seated atop one his broad shoulders.

"Hello there, I do hope that it's not a problem for us dropping in like this." The silvery haired Homunculus greeted the party before her, "Then again it's only proper that the most important guest arrives fashionably late."

"Illya, you're here too?" Shirou exclaimed, surprised to see her. "How is Berserker still around? I thought that I…that Kiva defeated him."

"Silly boy, my Berserker is not so easily killed," Illya replied, seeming not have noticed his slight slip up, "I'll admit watching Berserker get reduced to a pile of broken glass shards was both unexpected and annoying by that Bat Warrior however, thanks to my Servants multiple lives it was a minor irritant at most."

"Multiple lives?" Said Rin, shocked by what she'd just learned. "You mean to tell me we've got to kill your Servant multiple times?"

"Bingo, your so clever dear Rin, not only that but whenever Berserker loses a life he becomes immune to the last thing that killed him." Illya continued. "So next time that annoying Bat shows up he's going to be in for a very big shock if he thinks that he can pull that same trick again."

"This isn't good, dealing with Berserker on that first night was hard enough. Knowing that we've got to beat him multiple times…" Rin told her rust haired ally, "No wonder that she's bragging about him like he's practically invincible, scary truth is she might be right."

"But enough of that, crushing the Bat will have to wait for another time. I've a Holy Grail War to win." The Einzbern Master said, her features taking on a serious look. "Now Berserker, tear them apart."

The large dark skinned Servant grunted in response to his Master's orders, leaning forward slightly and his legs tensing for a moment before launching himself towards the other four Servants, letting a loud bellow as he drew closer and closer.

Not wanting to be subjected to the mad Servant's wrath Shirou and Rin made a quick retreat, both of them taking cover behind a stack of shipping crates. "Damnit, this has all gone to hell." Rin said bitterly as she peeked out, watching as the four Servants that had a short time ago had been fighting each other were now engaged against the new arrival. "How the heck did any of them know that we'd be here anyway?"

Shirou couldn't argue with that, Lancer, Rider and Berserker being here couldn't be a coincidence. Something must have lured them to this location for…some reason, what it was he couldn't fathom.

Stumbling through the door of the restaurant that had served him in luring in his victims, the Prawn Fangire collapsed to the floor, panting heavily from having narrowly evaded his pursuers.

He could hardly believe his luck, somehow two of the other Servants summoned for the human's Holy Grail War just so happened to have been in the area, their unexpected arrival having been enough to distract both of the teenagers and the blond haired Saber Servant and allow him to slip away.

As he gathered himself, the Prawn Fangire became aware of the presence of someone else in the room with him. Glancing round he was greeted by the sight of a man seated at one of the restaurant's tables, the individual in question having greasy looking shoulder length hair clad in garments that resembled a priest's robes.

"B…Bishop!" The Prawn Fangire exclaimed.

"You've become quite the thorn in our sides of late, Shokudai to Hōjoshaku ga Chigiru Utage, count yourself fortunate that I didn't simply let the blood traitor and his human pet catch up with you." Bishop replied, picking up a wine filled with water that was sitting on the table in front of him. "After all, arranging that brawl that's going on outside was no easy feat."

The Prawn Fangire stared at the greasy haired man, trying to figure out what he should say when all of a sudden a look of a thought popped into his head. "You, you're the one who lured all the Servants here." He said, realisation in his voice.

"Of course, a suitable distraction to ensure that you were not apprehended." Bishop replied, swilling the water in his wine glass. "After all, issuing punishment on those who disobey the law is a right reserved for those of highest authority."

"Wait, wait, I beg you to spare me. I am ever so close." The Prawn Fangire pleaded, "I've almost gathered enough life energy to raise my cute little servants, I just need a little more time."

"Is that so? I'm afraid that's not possible." Bishop replied, setting his glass down before rising to his feet. "We were generous enough to allow you to carry on for this long, a generosity that has since run dry. That being said however, this little project of yours, I will graciously grant you the means of completing it."

No sooner had he said this Bishop instantly vanished from view leaving the Prawn Fangire seemingly alone in the empty room. Moments later a sharp stabbing pain emanated from his chest, glancing down he was met by the sight of Bishop's hand piercing his chest.

"Now, give your life and you and those you hold dear can be reunited." Bishop told him, the man standing behind the Prawn Fangire.

The Prawn Fangire's body crumbled into shards of glass, the multicolored rose that he carried dropping to the floor, a large orb consisting of the life energy that he'd gathered emerging from his body.

Meanwhile in another room located within the building five coffins made from dark looking wood, upon each of their lids rested an identical looking rose which glowed before were absorbed into the coffin lids before they suddenly sprang open and a glowing orb of life energy emerged each of which then flew towards and through an open window.

Back outside the fighting between the gathered Servants was still going on. An unspoken alliance had seemed to have formed between Saber, Archer Lancer and Rider, the four of them having bounded together in order to combat the threat of Berserker.

And yet despite the four of them having banded together seemed to be struggling against the Mad Servant whose seemingly had no problem fending them off with nothing but his sheer size and strength alone.

The arrows fired at him by Archer didn't even seem to faze him and Rider's use of hit and run tactics did little against his sheer mass and size, that combined with the size of his weapon made getting close to him a dangerous prospect, making things difficult for both Saber and Lancer who both primarily focused on close to mid range combat, able to shrug off just about any amount of damage dealt to him.

It was as Rin had said back at the church, Berserker could face off against the other six Servants all at once and still emerge as the victor.

"Damnit, I like a good fight, but this is getting ridiculous." Lancer cursed as nimbly dodged out of the way of Berserker's sword, "It's like nothing we do to this walking pillar of muscle even phases him."

"Agreed, this is a fruitless effort." Rider added, "We should cut our losses and run."

As if in response to her comment, Berserker turned his shaggy haired head in Rider's direction, letting out a feral sounding roar the Mad Servant suddenly shot towards her, moving at speeds most would not associate with a person of their size.

In no time Berserker had closed the gap between himself and Rider, bringing down his massive weapon at her, as he did so Saber appeared before him in a streak of azure, raising her sword to intercept the one wielded by her ebony skinned opponent.

"Do not falter, we cannot relent for even a moment." Saber addressed her allies(?), utilizing every last bit of her strength in an effort to hold back Berserker's stone sword/axe. "As much as I'm loath to admit it, Berserker is a foe that none of us stands a chance against alone, standing together might be our best chance to put him down for good."

"Ha, that's all well and good Saber but we're still at a loss of how to do that." Lancer replied humourlessly as he readied himself to re-engage Berserker. "If anyone's got any ideas I'm all ears."

No sooner had the blue haired spearman uttered these words the ground beneath them suddenly began to shake, the sudden occurrence ceasing the hostilities between the group of Servants. Even Berserker looked haven been taken off guard by the sudden goings on.

"What the heck?" Lancer exclaimed as he and the others that had gathered tried to make sense of what was going on.

"Huh, what's that?" Illya said, the small girl's voice catching everyone's attention, looking in her direction, Saber and the others saw that the silver haired Master had her gaze fixed upon something in the sky above.

Gathering at the edge of the dock, Shirou and Rin having emerged from their hiding spot to join them, the group of nine averted their attention upwards where they were met by the sight of six sizable glowing orbs that were drifting through the air before suddenly came together and merged into one, creating a bright burst of light.

The bright light quickly faded, revealing something that looked somewhat like a giant chandelier sporting large skeletal arms, skeletal claws and a long neck with that its head was attached to and had skull-like faces with three eyes and flaps that would cover the head.

From the ground below the party of five Servants and the trio of Master's gazed up at the newly created Fangire that now hovered in the sky above.

"Wha…what the fuck is that thing?" Lancer exclaimed, "No one told me that…whatever that thing is would be here."

"Trust me, I'm just as at a loss as you are Lancer." Saber told the blue haired Spearman, "In all my time I've never seen anything like it before."

A frown etched itself into Shirou's face as he took in the sight of the colossal Fangire. "Six Pillars Sabbath…" He muttered to himself, unaware that Rin had glanced over at him, both unfamiliar with the term as well as surprised that her rust haired ally seemed to know what this…thing was.

"Regardless of what it is, the real question is what we should do about it." Archer inquired.

"Err guys," Rin spoke up as the large Fangire's shadow suddenly enveloped them, "Is it just me or is that thing getting closer?"

All of a sudden the Sabbath dropped out of the air towards the gathered Master's and Servants below, all of whom quickly scattered to avoid it, the large spike attached to its underside slamming into the dockside before it slowly began to rise back into the air.

As it began to elevate, parts of the massive Sabbath began to glow before unleashed a barrage of energy blasts at the party, before firing a large energy beam from the head attached to the long neck that protruded from it at Saber and the others, the beam cutting a deep gash into the concrete surface of dockside.

"D…damn," Rin exclaimed, a bead of sweat dripping from her brow as she took note of the damage that the Sabbath had left in its wake, "This thing can cause all this damage.

"Everyone, we must act quickly," Archer called out, his large black bow along with an odd looking sword that had a twisted blade manifested themselves in his hands, "We need to defeat this thing before it can move on and become a threat to the entire city."

Knocking the sword into his bow, the tanned skinned Servant pulled back the string, the sword taking on the appearance of an arrow, as he took aim at the Sabbath and fired, as the sword/arrow cutting through the air it began to glow with red energy before it suddenly split itself into multiple smaller projectiles that impacted against the Sabbath.

"Heh, sure why not." Lancer scoffed, twirling his blood red spear before grasping it in both hands, readying himself to hurl it. "I gotta say I never thought I'd be going up against stuff like this when I was summoned, this Holy Grail War has been pretty interesting so far..."

With a powerful throw he hurled his spear at the Sabbath, much like with Archer's arrow it sliced through the air at great velocity where it punched through the colossal Fangire and appeared out the other side where it changed direction and returned to its owner's outstretched hand who immediately readied himself to throw it again.

Back on the ground, Berserker took note of Archer and Lancer engaging the Sabbath, despite and quickly concluded that the massive Fangire was the thing that they were fighting now.

Reaching out he grabbed a hold of a nearby shipping container, a guttural growl emanated in his throat as swung it round and hurled it at the Sabbath, not even waiting to see if the first one hit its target before grabbing another container and repeating the process.

Grasping the handle of her sword in both hands, Saber's body tensed up, her knees bending themselves into a crouched position before she launched herself into the air, propelled herself towards her massive opponent, ready to swing her sword at the Sabbath once she was close enough.

As Saber flew towards her target the head attached to the Sabbath's long neck began to glow, energy gathering in its open mouth, firing a powerful energy beam at the incoming Servant, knocking her out of the air and sending her crashing back down into the dockside.

No sooner had it dispatched Saber the Sabbat unleashed another barrage of energy blasts at the gathering of Servants below it, forcing them to either take cover or try and deflect the incoming barrage that was raining down on them.

It was in this ensuing chaos that Shirou slipped away, hidden from view behind one of the many large shipping containers, everyone else too distracted by defending themselves against the Sabbath to notice as he did so.

Panting heavily, Shirou pressed his back against the large shipping container that he'd ducked behind, hopeful that in the chaos Saber and the others hadn't noticed him slip away.

"Wow, it looks like a real mess out there.'' Hearing a familiar voice Shirou glanced upwards and was greeted by the familiar sight of Kivat fluttering there.

"Kivat…" He muttered.

"Heh, but of course. Whenever there is danger, I will be there in a pinch." The biomechanical familiar boasted. "Yosh, looks like we'd better get to work Shirou."

Nodding, Shirou snatched the bat shaped living device out of the air and brought him to his left hand. "GABU!"

No sooner had he done so, chains emerged from the smalls of Shirou's back, wrapping themselves around his waist and took the form of his belt.

"Henshin..." Shirou declared, holding Kivat out in front of him before attaching him to his perch on the front of the belt, moments after his familiar had been attached the rust haired teens body was encased in quicksilver which instantly hardened and took the form of his Kiva armor.

Clad in his Rider armor, Kiva took a deep breath to steady himself before turning round and leaping up onto the top of the container that he'd used to conceal himself.

Meanwhile Rin watched Archer and the other Servants engaged the Sabbath, it was then she heard a noise coming from behind her, turning around quickly she was greeted by the sight of Kiva, the bar themed Rider who was crouched atop one of the shipping containers.

"Y…you…" She exclaimed, surprised to see him. "Kiva, you're here!"

No sooner had these words Archer and the other gathered Servants as well Illya, suddenly ceased engaging the Sabbath, as if in response to her words, turning to see what Rin was responding to, their gaze drawn to the sight of Kiva as he rose up from his crouched position to his full height.

Seeing him, Saber's eyes narrowed, her face twisting into a scowl and her grip on her weapon tightened. "Kiva…" She muttered as she glared hatefully at the bat themed Rider.

"Well, well, look who's late to the party." Lancer scoffed. "Much as I'd love to go another round with ya, as you can see we've got our hands full at the moment."

"Such an arrogant little puppy, assuming that you're the one who will be the one who gets to pluck the wings off the annoying Bat." Illya said offhandedly before turning her gaze towards Kiva, fixing him with a look of pure haughtiness. "Listen here, I don't know what exactly that little trick that you pulled to defeat Berserker last time was but I can assure you that the next time you get in my way the outcome will be quite different."

Berserker then let out a deep guttural sounding growl, his red eye glowing menacingly.

"So, he decided to use that power after all…" Rider muttered to herself, looking upon Kiva despite the blindfold that she wore.

Before anyone could say anything else a low moan sound was heard, everyone quickly turning their attention back to the Sabbath, the massive construct suddenly opening fire upon Kiva, the bat themed Rider quickly jumped off of the container which moments later exploded from being struck by the Sabbath's barrage.

Undeterred the Sabbath continued to fire upon the bat Rider, firing a barrage of energy blasts at Kiva who in turn did his best to stay ahead of them, small bursts of heat erupting from the surface of the dockside as they impacted it,

High above, crackling energy gathered in the Sabbath's mouth before firing another large energy blast at Kiva below, the Rider quickly diving out of the way to avoid being hit by the beam which created a large burst of energy as it struck the ground where Kiva had been seconds before.

Having avoided the barrage fired at him, Kiva grunted as he picked himself up off the ground, turning his gaze up at the Sabbath as he did so. The sound of hurried footsteps that quickly got louder, looking over in their direction Kiva was met by the sight of Saber standing over him, her face sporting a look of pure hate as stood over him, her sword raised.

Letting out a cry, Saber swung her wind coated blade towards the Bat Rider who narrowly managed to avoid being slashed by dropping to the ground and rolling out of the way. Undeterred, the blond haired Servant continued to slash at him, determined to make Kiva pay for the wrong's that he'd inflicted on her all those years ago.

"DIE KIVA!" Saber cried out, her green eyes burning with hate as she lashed out at him with her sword, Kiva barely able to stay ahead of being slashed before her sword could connect the was a sudden flash of red followed by a loud metallic sounding clang.

"What!" Saber exclaimed, glancing up she was surprised to find Archer standing before her, the tanned skinned man using his twin blades to block her sword.

"Archer," Saber said, momentarily shocked to see him before face twisted itself into a look of anger, "You're getting in my way?"

"Saber, back down." Archer replied, shooting her a stern look.

"You have no idea…" Saber growled, looking beyond Archer and shooting a hate fuelled glare at Kiva. "You have no idea the wrongs that he has done to me."

"No, I don't." He snapped at her. "I have no clue as to what exactly your vendetta against that one is but right now it doesn't matter, we have bigger problems that need resolving."

Saber turned her hateful look towards the man before her. "Arrogant whelp." She snapped venomously. "You think a lowly peasant like you has the right to give orders to me?"

"Alright that's enough," Rin snapped, her tone leaving no room for any argument, glaring at Saber, "Trust me, I'm no fan of Kiva either, but in case you've forgotten we've got bigger problems to handle than whatever your beef with him is."

Her piece to Saber said, the dark haired Magus then turned to look at Kiva.

"As for you, let's get something clear, I don't appreciate you sticking your nose into business that doesn't concern you. That's not even including the fact that you shot at me the last time we met." Rin told him, "That being said, I am willing to overlook these things based on the fact that we're the ones intruding on your business for a change."

Taking a deep breath Rin's features softened slightly. "As Second Owner of Fuyuki I request your help to bring that thing down." She said, trying to sound as official as possible.

"Hmmm, well then, who are we to deny the request of a cute girl, especially one with such an elegant neck" Kivat commented. "Yosha, time for our secret weapon!"

Kiva regarded Rin for a few moments before nodding his head in agreement. Turning his attention back towards the Sabbath, he reached down and selected a red Fuestle from the right side of his belt, one that was shaped like a castle, with a head of a dragon, and inserted it into Kivat's mouth.

"CASTLE DORAN!"

A deep horn-like sound resonated through the air as Kivat played the Fuestle, as the sound resonated the afternoon sky was quickly enveloped in darkness.

Elsewhere in another part of the city Castle Doran emerged from its hiding spot hidden amongst a tall building, taking to the air in responding to its master's call for aid.

Back the dockside the Sabbath was about to unleash another barrage of energy blasts at Kiva and the gathered Servants when all of a sudden Castle Doran swooped in, ramming itself into the Sabbath and knocking it out of the air a short distance before it was able to catch itself.

From the ground Kiva and his companions watched on as Castle Doran and the Six Pillars Sabbath clashed with each other.

"Whoa, you've got a Dragon castle at your beck and call?" Lancer said to Kiva as he watched as the chandelier monster and the Dragon Castle duked it out. "Damn, I gotta admit that's pretty cool."

"Hey, bat." Hearing her voice, Kiva looked over in Illya's direction, finding her looking back at him with a serious look on her face. "Just so you know, after I've killed you, I'm claiming your Dragon castle as my own"

As both giants fought, the Sabbath reached out with its many arms, grabbing onto the purple Dragon and tossed it aside before unleashing a barrage of crystal shards from its body at Castle Doran, knocking it out of the air and sending it crashing into the waters below on the living fortress, sending Castle Doran crashing into the river beneath it.

A short distance away a red scaled Draconic head with a horn protruding from the top of its snout poked itself out of the water, altered by Castle Doran breaking the surface of the water.

"Shoo-chan, don't just watch, you're needed!" Kivat said, detaching himself from Kiva's belt as he addressed the red Dragon. "COME HERE!"

Obeying Kivat's orders the red Dragon, Shoodoran, rose up from the water, much like Castle Doran its body was encased inside of a building with its two wings poking out of the sides and its tail out of the back, the building itself resembling the top of a tower with a windmill attached to it.

Taking to the air Shoodoran then flies out of the water as the windmill spins as it flies, and heads to Kiva and Kivat, the bat themed Rider leaping into the air as it passed over head and grabbed ahold of a bar that attached to the base of the structure that housed the red Dragon, carrying him as it flew towards Castle Doran.

As the purple Dragon picked itself up, Shoodoran flew overhead, depositing Kiva off atop a tower that was the located on the front of its castle body, before attaching itself to the back on top of Castle Doran, a flash of purple light emanating from within the castle itself visible through its large windows.

Castle Doran let out a loud fearsome sounding cry, flapping its wings several times as they suddenly grew larger in size. Now connected, both Dragons let out a loud cry, the larger of the two flapping its wings which kicked up a large surge of water.

Above the Sabbat fired off another barrage of crystal shards at Castle Doran, the purple Dragon responding with a flap of its enlarged wings, in doing so creating a powerful blast of air, kicking up another surge of water as well as knocking the shards off course, sending them back towards the Sabbath.

Seeing that its opponent was on the ropes, the two towers located on the front of the castle rotated themselves forwards as the Dragon took to the air once more. The accumulated energy that Castle Doran had accumulated by consuming Fangire souls gathered together as four large glowing orbs and traveling through its neck towards its head.

Taking flight once more, Castle Doran unleashed a barrage of firepower against its opponent, firing tower missiles and three of the energy orb at the Sabbath, explosions erupting from it as they impacted with its glassy body.

Seeing his chance, Kiva leapt off his perch and ran up Doran's head where he leapt off, aiming himself towards the Sabbath, moments later Doran unleashed the fourth and final energy orb from its mouth, engulfing its master and propelling him forward.

As he flew through the night air, inching closer and closer to the colossal Fangire, the chains that were attached to the armor on Kiva's right leg detached and Hell Gate sprung open.

Surrounded in glowing energy Kiva's foot slammed into the Sabbath, its body cracking upon impact from the force that propelled him as the Bat themed Rider punching through its body and out through the other side, its body cracking up and engulfed in a burst of blue flames.

The opponent defeated, Kiva landed on the ground, the darkness of the night sky vanishing and the late afternoon sun returned, turning his gaze towards the sky to watch as the Sabbath was consumed in a large burst of blue energy, the six Fangire souls used to create it left behind.

Kivat then detached himself from his perch on Kiva's belt. "Good job, you guys!" Kivat praised the two Dragons set about consuming the Fangire Souls.

Unbeknownst to both of them, someone was watching them.

From his position atop the arms of one of the cranes Bishop observed Kiva and Kivat, his eyes narrowed and a look of disdain on his face before he turned around, leaped off of the crane arm and vanished.

The battle over Kiva turned to leave, he'd barely taken a few steps when a blue clad figure appeared behind him. "Hold it right there."

Hearing a voice Kiva stopped in his tracks and looking round was greeted by the sight of Saber standing a short distance away from him, the blond haired former King of Britain glaring at him with a fierce look on her face.

"Kiva, you won't get away this time. Nor will this battle go the same way as the one we had ten years ago." Saber told the Bat themed Rider, her grip tightening on the handle of her sword that she pointed at him. "It's time for you to pay for your transgressions."

Kiva was shocked, not at Saber's dislike of him, he was already aware of that. No, the revelation that she'd had some kind of encounter with Kiva ten years ago, back during the last Holy Grail War.

'Ten years ago, what's she talking about?' He wondered, 'What could she mean by that?'

AN And with that another chapter is in the bag and for this instalment we've returned to Kamen Rider Kiva.

In terms of timeline we're a little ways removed from the first Kiva chapter, where Shirou/Kiva has his first encounter with Rider, but well before the events of the second which would take place further down the line.

This instalment would have served as Bishop's introduction into the story, having him show up much earlier than he did in the show, where he'd serve as an antagonistic force in the story, orchestrating efforts against Shirou and the others whist not confronting them himself until Rook shows up.

Another thing is Saber trying to kill Kiva, while it wouldn't be new at this point, her mention an encounter she had with Kiva that occurred ten years prior is would be revealed here, something you as the reader already know from the second Kiva chapter where Saber had a run in with Dark Kiva during the Fourth Holy Grail War and the reason that she can't tell the difference between Kiva and Dark Kiva because anime/toku troupes.

Something that I'd forgotten about Kiva until I was writing this is that Fangire have a whole True Name going on, Bishop refers to the Prawn Fangire as Shokudai to Hōjoshaku ga Chigiru Utage (The Candlestick and the Compass Promise a Party) he's doing so by his True Name, and some of them are wild. Seriously the King Fangire/Dark Kiva's True Name is Akatsuki ga Nemuru, Subarashiki Monogatari no Hate (The Dawn Sleeps, A Magnificent Story's Ending).

That dose beg the question of what Shirou's True Name would be, I imagine that it would be the same as Nobori Taiga's since in this story Shirou is a hybrid of both Wateru and Taiga but I don't think it was ever revealed or if it has I can't find it.

Not much to say on this one and I think this is a good place to call it. In Gotchard Rinne is now officially Majade and right now we're getting some backstory on Spanner before he officially becomes a Kamen Rider in the next episode, Meanwhile King-Ohger's finale is creeping ever closer but before they close the curtail on their story they've still got their team up movie with Donbrothers as well as another team up with Kyoryuger in an upcoming V-Cinema coming out in April.

As always feel free to leave a comment and tell me what you thought of this particular instalment, I always appreciate the feedback and love reading the comments, and I'll see you all in the next one.

Until next time, peace out y'all.
